Great app if you never need customer support. Been a Plus subscriber for almost a decade. Need help this 1 time as DB won't recognize my authenticator app codes therefore I am unable to log in and the customer support process is HORRIBLE!!!!! I chatted with a (of course, an unintelligent) bot, a kind but useless human, sent emails (that gets responded to 24H or more) and here, 3 days later, still can't log in, locked out and I still don't have a resolution. I may not be renewing next term.

Dark mode is the only thing in the patch note. What they forgot to mention is how the export button is gone. It can't see hidden folders anymore either. So what is the point of this now? What makes it better than plugging my phone to the computer to transfer files. If there is a buttob to rollback on the version I would do it, but I'm too lazy to do it.

Do something about your prices, guys. While a two month subscription might cost as much as an average lunch on your side of the planet, it is very steep pricing on mine. Prices should change depending on the user's location. I'm not going to pay the equivalent of 900 rs a month for this.

Useless/not needed
My smart phone has my resume in pdf. Form and that should be it. But no, these stupid app companies are in bed together and so I have to keep downloading app after app after app just apply for jobs. Each app just another security risk, just another way for my info to end up in the wrong hands. Might as well be you know what in a box, Totally unacceptable. Zero stars is the real review. Stop making cloud based crap we already have through oh idk the 16 other apps that do a similar job. This is an edit...after reading some reviews I ask those people if they are using windows 98? Do you not remember that our smart phones and their services were already doing all of this? Did you not already have cloud based service through your smart phone brand or google? Why accept yet another app that is cloud based for yet another way to have your private photos and documents out in another cloud. “The devs are smart” yeah after building the same features into every other cloud based app they realized they needed another job so here is Dropbox, next year it will be “boxdrop” or “doccushare3000”! I’m sure there is some feature that is unique to Dropbox that has you all saying that it’s totally different. You mean something that could have just been added to any other cloud based service? I know it’s free but I didn’t want another app on my phone, another account, another, another, another, another...... -
The new upgrade on a Note 20 Ultra OneUI 3 is awful. In portrait rotation folders show empty. Flip to landscape, they appear. Try to import from phone in portrait mode, Dropbox shows no images on phone to select. Select a file to move in Dropbox. There is no folder navigation to browse to where you want to copy the file TO. Bring back the old version!

I keep getting emails that my Dropbox is full. That's pretty interesting since I don't use it. I don't have it running on any computers. I didn't even have it installed on any phones or tablets. Now when I go to check what's there, it won't let me log in with my Google account. Nothing happens when I tap on sign in with Google. Nice Microsoft, nice..

Not for me! But i bought into it. I think around $12 monthly..?Plus I thought was too expensive, and isn't this Dropbox more for people with computers? I don't and never will have one, this smartphone alone is taking up our lives. And because I was trying to find an expert with a different issue, I installed Dropbox again but it's too hard to understand! At bottom says Tell us more, and can't even do that! Must be for computers! But we will see..

Scammed out of storage space
A client sent me some photographs we took and I clicked on the link for the dropbox and was prompted to create an account. I created the account and the few files were about 1.2 GB in size but dropbox told me that I was out of space I need it to subscribe in order to view the photos. According to what is advertised I have 2 GB of free storage in which I’m able to view the photos without having a subscription. Because I wanted to see the work I entered my credit information and was charged for a single month subscription yet when I refresh the page and login I am met with the exact same message saying that my dropbox is full and that I need to upgrade my account. I know that dropbox is a widely used service that usually has decent credentials, but in my experienceThey’re advertising has been very deceitful and I feel like they are a scam.Waiting to hear back so I can get a refund maybe. Informed the photographer to post his photos on a different storage platform for viewing going forward. After multiple refreshes and waiting the same issue persists. I paid almost $15 and can’t view 6 images that are less than 1.2 GB in combined size. Would not recommend

I really wanted to like Dropbox
This is a review on Dropbox in general. I wanted to use Dropbox to back up files I accumulate on both my phone and my computer over time onto a cloud. This includes work files (minimal though) and (mostly) personal photos/videos. But I have so many issues syncing files whether it be from my phone or my computer, I just can’t do it anymore; it takes way too much time. And I’ve had the paid version for a couple months now! I thought maybe Dropbox just had a learning curve but the issues are perennial. I constantly have to troubleshoot the syncing and google solutions for things like clearing the cache on my Mac. It’s like I have to treat Dropbox like a baby, only back up 50 photos at a time or it glitches and never uploads at all. Even troubleshooting pages from the Dropbox website don’t solve my problems, even if it’s only 4 simple steps. I don’t understand—I thought DropBox was a large and reputable company used by professionals. I’m using Dropbox for mostly light, personal reasons and it doesn’t work properly. Looks like I’m going to have to back up the old fashioned way: external hard drives. -
After the last update I lost the ability to place a shortcut to the file in the offline folder on my home screen. Also it became very laggy and crashes all the time. Maybe it's time to switch to One Drive...

Basically a file viewer. Making files available offline actually doesn't make them available on local storage as no files are accessible. No matter how many times you download the file, you can't find them anywhere.

One year no change
A year ago I reached out for help bc all of my photos I edited on my phone or the hundreds of “portrait mode” iPhone photos were uploaded in their original mode and their “edited” portrait mode. When you click “automatic upload” it uploads your photos in chronological order with dates they were created. Which is great. On the portrait mode or any edited photo, it uploads two versions. I was going through and looking at file size and deleting the one that wasn’t edited so that my terabyte of storage wouldn’t be full. The tip they gave me was to click “manual upload” and manually upload all of the portrait mode or edited photos that I wanted to not have doubled. I did this. The photos were not uploaded by date taken and the file names were changed. But they were not doubled. Then, I clicked “automatic upload” to upload all of the other unedited photos and it still uploaded the edited ones I had manually uploaded bc the file names were different. I have reached out a handful of times about having an option to click or fixing the manual upload bug that changes the file names and causes more duplicates. No changes have been made. Dropbox is the most expensive storage app but don’t expect the most expensive quality. -
I'm writing again because I've experienced so much crashing lately and it's gotten worse, literally can't use for more than a few minutes. I have reported it and found that my support ticket was closed without any reply. I see Dropbox has done this with every complaint. I'm so fed up with the lack of communication. They make it hard to contact, don't ever respond, and I can't seem to send a new bug report because the app gives an error message. I used to respect this company. It's so sad.
