  • Brilliant and terrifying! Apr 30, 2021

A very fast playthrough (working quickly, only skimming the text, etc) takes about an hour and 45 minutes. I’d say an average playthrough in which you read everything would be somewhere around 2.5-3 hours. It’s mostly text and image based with a few audio/video segments, including audio from Osgood (a main character) and a clip from the 13th Doctor at the end. Beware of the jump scares and ‘glitching’ screen, which is a part of the game. Overall, I thought it was great! I think the ideal age for this is teenagers (13+ ?), but adults can enjoy it too. Probably not suited for children as there are several jump scares.

Loved it! Had lots of fun going back through evidence and figuring out the next steps! Very pleased with this game, wish it were a bit more interactive and not just search and fetch and wish it were longer. But still great game for Doctor Who fans!

A nice touch. Best game so far for Doctor Who. A little more user choice in actions even for the target Sarah-Jane Adventure audience. The database behind is too simple. At 14 I made more complicated storylines! Hence 4 stars. Saying that, the idea of managing the story from the phone was really good and implemented well. Another option could be to control the situation from inside the Tardis and hop between planets to solve a mystery through time and space. Make a set of these stories please.

Okay so this game is absolutely amazing. The graphics are great and so is the story. But, I haven’t been able to finish it because it keeps crashing. At first I thought it was fine, but it got to the point to when it crashed it didn’t save my previous data and I had to start all over again. For example, when I had to piece the ‘fragments’ together and delete them so that the weeping angel would be out of the phone. The first two times I tried, it glitched and crashed, causing me to have to start over. The third time I FINALLY made it through deleting the fragments and right as I was done. . .it crashed and I had to start over. Super frustrating. Overall this is a good game, but I wish it didn’t delete what I already did. (I also am on a really good device, so that probably doesn’t have anything to do with it)

All Doctor Who fans will really enjoy this extension of the episode Blink. The found phone format works really well and the game moves at a good pace while keeping your interest. Puzzles are easy and just add to the story line moving along nicely. The scenes with the angels, while not particularly scary, are well done. The best part is the authenticity. Fans will love that original actors are featured and the little things only fans would know. Osgood was great! Well worth the 3 hour play.

That was AMAZING. I just finished playing Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins, and it was PERFECT. I’m a huge fan of the show, and my favorite episode is Blink, so this was right up my alley. It took me two days to play the game, so it has a lot of play-time (although I secretly wish it had been longer). I love how it brought back some of our favorite character (Osgood!! And Larry!) from Doctor Who but added some new, interesting characters. It is so well-written and so well put together. I’ve tried some of the Doctor Who games in the past and I just was never impressed. This is incredible and well-worth the price. I love the idea of a “found phone” game and this one executes it flawlessly. I honestly felt like I was present in a Doctor Who episode—my dream come true! So thank you for that! Overall, it was just FUN. I even screamed once with one of the jump scares! At the end, it tells you what you accomplished, and what parts you missed, so now I have reason to give it a second play-through! Loved it!

Great game, and right scary at times! This followed the lore beautifully and I was appreciative of the real actors getting involved. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is it seemed like it was over too quick. Any ideas on an expansion?

As a die hard fan of the show, I was enthralled in the thrilling story. While people who have seen the show might find some of the plot twists quite predictable, that didn’t detract from the experience whatsoever. I found myself completely immersed in a gripping story. The puzzles are very clever, and the tension feels very real. This game is not for the faint of heart, as I found myself screaming at some of the jump scares. I do wish it had been a bit longer, as I was able to complete it in under 2 days. The way all of the clues come together at the end is brilliant. Definitely worth the money.

Great game! The detail was spot on. The continuation of the episode don't blink was really well done. It felt like I was watching an episode by Moffat! But I am not happy with how short it was! It took me about 1.5 to 2 hours to finish it and that was it. Please tell me there will be more to it. I won't be changing my 3 stars till there is more because It says that i can do more with Osgood if I only pick up any phone but i don't want to do do same story over and over. Please update with more!

Bonus if you are a fan of interactive fiction. For me this was reminiscent of the old school text adventures but on steroids. You basically get to be in an episode of Doctor Who by interacting with the phone in the app. The puzzles aren’t difficult but they are satisfying. A short but very fun adventure. Don’t blink! Note to devs: a nice addition might be a notepad app to jot down things you might need later.

This game is visually well done but if you’ve seen the episode Blink there is literally nothing new for you here. There is no challenge to the game - fine if you enjoy a walkthrough with familiar and liked characters, but don’t recommend if you are expecting a challenge or to actually “solve” anything. All is fed to you and there is nothing you do that changes the outcome.

A great game for Doctor Who fans! It's obvious that a great deal of care was done to make this a proper sequel to "Blink," with excellent writing, casting, design, etc. I felt like I was part of a Who/UNIT adventure and contributing to the story of Wester Drumlins and The Angels. Not a long or difficult game, finished it within a couple hours. But scary, funny, and very clever! It never felt like something "just for kids." Recommended!

Crazy immersive! An incredibly intense game because yeah, the phones haunted, but the sense of lingering dread and witty dialogue helped make it feel very real, even up to the conclusion. I love how certain pieces came in handy later, just like a proper who episode, so it felt like being a part of the story! I hope they make another one!

As someone who has been a fan of doctor who for most of their life, I found this game to be amazing. It was a really well done game that had great acting, voicelines, suspense, graphics, layout design and much more. I also found that it was a really well done continuation of the blink episodes of David Tennant doctor who.

Ignoring the two bugs that i encountered that temporary halted my gameplay (not sure if you fixed the second or if it fixed itself), this has to be one of the best puzzle games I have ever played, might be a bit biased being a fan of Doctor Who but either way I would highly recommend this to any fans of the series. The bugs were to be expected with a new game, and the developers were quick to respond and fixed all of the problems people were having! :)

I was super excited to find this game. It is a bit short, as others have said, but that didn’t bother me at all. I think it was definitely worth the money. The story line is interesting even to fans and the acting is great. All in all I would absolutely recommend this game to fans and non fans alike!

  • A fun time Apr 1, 2021

I gave this app a 4 star and wish I could have split it to 4.25 or so. As a huge fan of the TV series I’ve been wanting a proper app to come out so was really excited to find this. The premise is simple, you find someone’s phone and strange things start happening, but the story line is very good. The game is a bit short which lowers the rating from 5 to 4 in my opinion. They have actors from the show so the acting is what you would expect, very good. The story is intriguing as well. All in all a solid, short game. Honestly, unless the ratings were crap I’d have gotten it anyway just to show the developers that there is a huge and underserved fan base here.
  • So short! Mar 25, 2021

    By Brendansmommy
SUPER short game. Like, really short. I felt like I had just been getting started when it was over. BUT that being said, it was fun while it lasted. I wouldn’t really call it a “game” per se. There’s no challenge to it and not really anything that would be considered gameplay, but it was still a fun way to experience a short story. And I love that it picked up right where Blink left off. I’ve always wondered what would happen with that circle of angels! So, it was a good start. Hopefully this is the predecessor to more Doctor Who games like this that are updated and better!

This is a pretty good game which makes you stop and think and explore EVERYTHING to try to solve the mystery at hand. Best to have a notepad and pen on standby because there's clues and critical pieces of information that pop up .. which may be needed at a later time. I honestly enjoyed it being a Doctor Who fan myself.. hope there is a sequel that pops up maybe with a different villain this time around (oh I dunno maybe a flesh eating organism that prefers to stick to the shadows)

Overall it's a pretty decent interactive narrative. The story isn't all that long but there is still a good amount of substance which is expected for its price. There are lots of fun connections to Blink as well as plenty of other Doctor Who with cameos from a few notable characters. It isn't groundbreaking and the story is a bit basic but it's still fun and I would reccomend it. If you're looking for a horror/action game, this isn't it but it is still a great interactive multimedia story.

Absolutely FANTASTIC! The gameplay was brilliant, five minutes in and I was already hooked. I was incapable of putting my phone down. I'm not easily scared by video games but this game definitely creeped me out, and I absolutely loved that this game managed to! A bit disappointed that I finished the game so quickly, I am hoping that more stories will be released. In my opinion, The Lonely Assassins is the BEST Doctor Who game ever made!
  • Fun game however... Mar 25, 2021

    By mm820z
I enjoyed the concept of the game abs the storyline. However, I wish it was longer and I wish there was more required of me in regards to skills needed/ puzzles to solve. I think this could be expanded and that the developers will update it and add more aspects. There is potential for more here but I did enjoy it.

After the trailers, I was worried that the angels would be given a cringey voice, they sort of were but not directly. They use the same narrative device as in ToA/FaS. I feel the angels in general have been over developed since Blink, the core concept was simple, effective psych horror, the additions to their lore have made them too tangible and less scary, this game is no exception. Regardless, the game is engaging and immersive, and the story is decent, but it's a bit PG to be called "horror"

So I finished it a few days ago. And yeah it could have been so much more. I liked it... I think it has potential but it’s very short and suddenly over. The disco ball solution was perfect and probably the best part. And I think that there can be a great Doctor Who phone game. There was so much to work with that they could have done. I feel like they made a quick and easy. I wouldn’t mind so much if maybe they added content at some point, but right now there’s just so much wasted potential. Thirteen Doctors and all those companions and all we got was a short game. Add more! Add the Doctor’s Daughter! Torn between 2 and 3 stars because I like it but it needs more. Please update!
  • Too short & predicatable Mar 26, 2021

    By DontDownloadPlease
Loved the theme of the weeping angels, but sadly since the Angel episodes are my favorite I knew exactly what happened right from the beginning. Using the episode of Blink as a guide really gave away the ending. The tasks were super easy and I finished the game in maybe 2 hours if not less. Would have liked it better if it was a new adventure with the Angels and your choices mattered. Definitely too short and too easy of a game, but seeing the old characters return was fun.

Had a good time with this! It was a bit shorter than I was hoping it would be, and it did exit abruptly/crash at least once every play. So nice to see some of the old characters again! Would have liked to maybe see more of the minor characters in the chat to maybe flesh out the story more. But enjoyed it all the same and would welcome a sequel! Also got to say that Customer service was the best and quickest I've experienced here when falling foul of the initial start up issue! Big hugs to you!
