Was unsure about trying this music service at first as I had used Spotify almost exclusively for a long time, but decided to download it and see what it was like and I literally couldn't be happier with my decision! It seems to have almost everything that I listen to, and it transferred all of my Spotify favorites and playlists over without a hitch. Streaming sound quality is superb, at least equal to anything else available and it still works well even with low internet speed.

more lessI never take time to write reviews because 9 times out of 10 it is useless, regardless of the quality of the app. However, I’m blown away at the capabilities of this app. By far the best streaming app for music. The interface is seamless and smooth making it super easy to learn and navigate. You can download your favorite music or podcast to listen offline. They even have a mood for your music, to which you can adjust to 5 different mood settings, allowing you to add and subtract to tweak each mood to your liking. But the thing that really sold me was the ability to transfer all of your music from the other 8 apps and sites you use, and condense it all in one! The day for this should've came a lot sooner but I’m glad it’s here now, it is such a beautiful thing and makes music streaming effortless. All this for less than $10 month, you can’t beat it.

Long time Spotify user, however their app has been basically useless for me lately, so I came to Deezer. I love the 'play next' feature, and the hi fi sound and the ability to transfer my playlists but I miss the GIFs that play during some songs and also I like the pre-made playlists better on Spotify. overall it's a decent replacement and I think given some time I'll forget all about the other app and I'll come to appreciate it more.

The app has quite a few issues, but reporting is difficult since they demand a video, especially when its not something you can take a video of... The foreground app and background act independent, where a song will be playing but when you open the app the first playlist song suddenly plays but still displays the previous song info. Artist album lists are truncated, so you can't easily find any early albums if they are buried under 40 "live" albums (for example, "Ten" by Pearl Jam)

One Huge Design Flaw
more lessSince the demise of Google Play Music, we’ve been shopping around for a good music player app. Deezer has come highly recommended, but there’s one design flaw that I just can’t get around. I am home full time and like to stream my music to my TV or other player. When it finishes playing my selected album, it starts playing other, random music from the same or similar artists. Even if I set the album to repeat, it STILL plays other music and albums. I want it to stop playing all together over choosing music for me. If I want a radio station inspired by a specific artist, I’ll use Pandora. Because I am currently using a variety of players right now, I’ve also noticed Deezer is less intuitive than other platforms at finding music based on my search credentials. For example, if I want to listen to Christmas music from a certain artist, it will only bring up albums that specifically have “Christmas” in the album title, not all of their holiday music. Just today I wanted to listen to an album called “Christmastime” by Michael W Smith. I typed “Michael W Smith Christmas” in the search field and it wouldn’t bring up the album 🤷🏻♀️ I had to go through his albums to find it.

more lessThey have almost everything I’ve looked for in music, without trying to push a bunch of podcasts down my throat. My only real complaint is that the volume leveling doesn’t work well. It’s annoying when your sleep playlist has some songs that blast you out and some you can’t hear at all.

My first review was pretty bad. I wanted this to replace Spotify but the bugs were awful. Giving them a second chance months later I can honestly say Deezer has come a long way. I haven't had any Chromecast issues since I've updated my app and phone. Music quality is amazing. Thoroughly happy with the app. Seems like the listened to their customers and fixed the issues.

Unbelievable quality with high end headphones, beautiful colorful and easy to use app with awesome features, love being to fade out the music to blend the ends and beginnings of songs together, makes everything feel just that like you’re in ur own music world! 360 audio needs work but I got this app for the higher quality music and for how beautiful the app layout and everything is! Love the flow features and literally everything about this app! Can’t say good enough! My only pet peeve is if you choose the premium app and pay though Apple you have to wait 1 month until you can upgrade to Deezer hifi or make a new account witch takes time finding music again and getting everything back but other then that app is perfect!

more lessOverall a great sounding streaming app!! Mostly every artist I searched for is on Deezer. Really simple to navigate. Gives you options to change sound quality for those who want to listen to music crystal clear or you can custom setup if you are using cellular data to a few setting that won’t use as much data. Good options for everyone really. Ok I have only one thing they could change but it’s just my opinion. I love dark mode! So if Deezer could add the option for dark mode for there general interface. It’s not bright white all the time tho. It does have nice colors on the song that you play that match the album cover in a nice way. I’m sure they are working on dark mode for IOS 13 anyways. So nothing really to complain about. The app works great and oh yeah, I like the flow setting too. Thanks Deez!!

The stations created by songs could be better, they repeat songs way too quickly, but... The Shuffle feature for your favorites list seems to work very well, which is why I left one of their major competitors. Also, I LOVE that they have the "SongCatcher" feature built into their app!! This is something I was wanting before from my previous service! Way to go, Deezer!!

more lessI had spent hours trying to find a free music app that did not require a subscription. When I found Deezer, I was thrilled. I looked at all the reviews and decided to try it out. It lets you do so many things. I like how it lets you pick your favorite artists. After using it for a couple days, I realized the app has a few minor problems. For instance, I hate how you only get 6 skips per hour. Also, I am pretty poor, and I don’t have much money to spend. With Deezer, it feels like it is only a good app if you get the subscription. There is one last problem that I had. It might just be me though. After I used Deezer for a while, my music stopped loading, and I wasn’t able to listen to anything. Is anyone else having the same problem? Overall it is not too bad of an app though.

Really great app for users that like being in control of the music they are listening to
more lessI have gone through music app after music app that could allow me to relive all those years of enjoying yahoo music at its prime like I did as a kid. Though Deezer falls a little short on the sound quality compared to other apps, I love that when I choose an artist to listen to or chose a specific album to listen to and NOT get the “suggestions” to listen to other artists I. The middle of your moment this is quite literally the only app I’ve run into that did not force a agenda down my throat. The option to have other “like” artists is an option, but not the standard. The premium membership also allows you to have three devices connected. I’m keeping it and very pleased.

No Option to See library in sortable songs by artisy
more lessAt this point I am ready to get an mp3 player and do this myself, because no streaming service is doing it right. All I want is to view a library of artists whose songs I have saved in alphabetical order. When I select the artist all I want to see are the song I have saved, not all 15 of their albums. If I save 5 song by Anthrax, then I select anthrax from MY listed of artists whose songs I have saved, I would just like to see those five songs and be able to listen the them in a row. Y’know, like in the old days where you could listen to the music you wanted to listen to and not have everything else crammed down your throat? Yes, I miss that.

more lessWhen I downloaded this app, I was really happy because I could FINALLY be able to play music offline. I’m not sure how long I downloaded this app but now I have to get premium to be able to continue listening to music offline. Is anyone getting the same problem?? I logged in for Deezer Free and not other subscriptions. So then why do I need to get premium? I thought this app was free for listening offline and didn’t require to get premium if you wanted to.. Please fix this!. I’m sure that other people can’t pay a month for offline music. So please let everyone listen to music freely. Many people would rate this 5 stars if they could listen to music for free without getting premium. But hey, you don’t have to change it, just my opinion because I thought I finally found an app for me to play music offline since I don’t have internet when I’m out.

Very good other than promised skips
more lessFor the most part I love Deezer. It works very well. The only minor thing is I wish you could just download single songs instead of whole albums. My major complaint that bugs me is when your paying it says unlimited skips. Well the skips freeze and that gets me very frustrated. If that’s a tech prob it needs to get fixed. Don’t offer somn when ppl are paying and then not have it. I get very irritated when I basically have to restart my music and hit a diff shuffle button cause the skip freezes and think what the heck I’m paying for this. I would have given it four stars with a minor concern of single song downloads if not for the false skip advertisement as of now cause skip works so many times.

Deezer has worked mostly well so far, one month in as a replacement to certain other apps and the transition has been okay. A major problem that has been affecting me, as someone with poor cellular service, is that downloaded songs from a playlist are not also downloaded into their respective albums if I decide to separately download an album. This makes it so that the app thinks that the song hasnt been downloaded with the rest of its album and is thus unplayable in offline mode.
