The Day by Day with God app supports the purchasing of 1, 4 and 12 month subscriptions from within the app. Readings are intelligently downloaded in the background so you don't need to remain connected to the internet to access them and once downloaded will remain available on your device.
Subscription options
• In-app auto-renewing subscriptions: these are purchased using your iTunes account and automatically renew. To cancel this type of subscription you need to visit your account on iTunes or the AppStore.
• Downloading the app is free, and you get readings every day for one week of six readings free and you also have access to the previous two weeks
• If you choose to subscribe, simply select the one month (£1.49), four month (£3.99) or annual (£10.49) subscription
• Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period
• Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal
• Subscriptions may be managed and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the Account Settings in iTunes/App Store after purchase

There is a lot in the free sample readings...
Mar 31, 2011 You get several pages for every day not just the first one - I think the developers need to make the fact you need to swipe to get onto the next page might bit more obvious. If you get that you have around 3 weeks of readings (some in the past and a week's worth going forward) before you need to decide if you want to subscribe. Worth trying again CatRMS?more -

Mar 26, 2011 You only get a sentence or two of each lesson, then you have to pay. What's the point? I have a bible. I could read the passages without a lesson any time.

What’s Groovy
I have been using Day by Day With God as a daily devotional for over 10 years, first in print and now online. The subscription cost is less than a coffee per month but the wisdom and blessings are priceless.

Exactly what I was looking for! :)
I've tried several daily devotions, they Blessed me. But I was looking for 1... 1 from the NIV translation, 2 that was more than just 1 page or just a morning Prayer. Feel very Blessed to find this 1 ! Everyday is 4-5 pages (on iPhone), just more "meat" to it. And although it mentions "rooting Women in the Bible" men would be just as Blessed by this also. What a great way to start my morning! And all this is in the free version :) Thanks so much! -

This is a superb daily Bible study app, but it is only a free trial. After a while Google want paying. It does not tell you this at the start when you download it. Most misleading and disappointing.
