I’ve always wanted to play the game with all upgraded items but coin cap is 1400? Please change this!

I have a problem with the UI. My phone is way longer than the app is expected to handle, which leads to some text going offscreen... and some buttons going out of place (e.g. the - and + in the upgrades menu). I have doubts this could be fixed soon... Either way, this is one more shmup I'd keep in my library :D

This game is worth every penny. It's fun, frantic, intense, and has plenty of levels as well as upgrade paths and so much more. I could go on and on. Thank you devs for updating the game.
  • Great Shmup, but not with some issues. Dec 4, 2013

This game is great. If you love bullet hell shmups, this is a must buy. Fantastic music, beautiful visuals, and bullets. DEAR GOD, THE BULLETS. Now, that being said this game has issues running on the first generation iPads. Everything gets extremely blurry and pixelated. While playing the game, it's not that big of a problem, but is a huge problem navigating the menus. The words are just to blurry to even make out what the say and can be an issue when trying to read small print. Now if all the pixelation was to reduce game slowdown on the 1st gen, then that's fine but I would have preferred that the menus would have stayed completely unblurred. Or even have the option to choose the clear version with frame rate issues or blurred gameplay with perfect frame rate. All that being said, this is one hell of a game, and you shouldn't miss out on it.

Holy... f@&?ing... sh¡t... this game is literally one of the sickest games I've ever played, much less on mobile. Graphics are amazing, gameplay is riveting, and the soundtrack is bad-ass. I wish I would've found this game years ago. If devs ever make any more, day one purchase. I'll be rebuying on Switch as well, and maybe even on PC. Well done, guys.

Fun and a good challenge it's also much easier to win compared to danmaku 3. The game looks great and the music is also good. I am no expert but I finished the game on easy. It does not have gamepad support but it still controls fine.

Maybe it's just because I'm playing it on a gen-1 iPad, but the game seems to be running at 320 x 240 pixel screen resolution. The instructions, HUD, and even the copyright text are virtually unintelligible and appear to only be three pixles in height. I'm all for retro pixel art, believe me, but I must be missing something somewhere or I've purchased a corrupt game somehow. If your intent was to do a low-res pixel art style, then get rid of the apparent anti-aliasing. Pixel art depends on sharpness and contrast to maintain legibility at low resolutions rendered in high resolution space. As is, this game is broken on iPad 1. It runs fine, and the mechanics are fine, it's just that the visuals are simply pixelated noise...

If you gravitate towards quality iOS titles with zero IAP and are even remotely interested in what is arguably the slickest genre available in gaming, the shooter, or Shmup, then Sunny Tam's bullet hell masterpiece is an absolute must have. Graphically the game rivals any other shooter available on the store, running at 60 frames per second, with crisp bullet patterns and an overall beautiful visual presentation. The intensity of this joyride is enhanced fittingly through the music of Blankfield, making the experience equal parts visual and auditory delight. On top of this, the scoring mechanics are engaging and challenging, while the various difficulty settings will appeal to all skill levels. Play casually and just try to beat the game, or knuckle down for high scores and compete with true bullet hell champions on the Leaderboards. Purchase this title now. It is a stellar representation of not only bullet hell, but of a fun game in a timeless genre.
  • The best shooter on iOS, possibly the best shooter ever made Jan 29, 2014

    By Nursagio
Beautiful graphics, Seamless controls, Ingenious game mechanic And one of them most awesome and unique soundtracks of any game in the Genre. I have a copy of every shooter made for the iOS quite possibly. Some are outstanding like DoDonPachiR, And while I love them It may have been a waste of money, because all I play is Danmaku unlimited two. The action really feels like a knockout drag out space battle Thanks largely in part to burst And trance mode. Bosses are ferocious And tough as hell. With the various difficulty modes and fighter configurations the replay value is almost endless. Sunny Tam thank you for taking the risk and Producing such a masterpiece.
  • Best Bullet Hell on iOS! Nov 13, 2014

    By DoomFanatic95
Shut up about Cave. Those games are ugly as hell, have dated mechanics, and are overpriced. I do not find joy in those games. They are not the bar for bullet hell games. That title belongs to Ikaruga. Moving onto DU2! Wow wow wow! HUUUUGE improvement over the first game! Sunny Tam went back to the drawing board, and incorporated heavily influences from the Touhou Project series! Very similar visuals, including the gorgeously colored bullets. The ultra ultra glassy smooth frame rate feels like everything just glides through the playing field. The overall look is way more dynamic and versatile than the first game. Absolutely the best looking and best playing bullet hell shooter on the iOS! Well worth the price of admission!
  • Best word to describe this game? Fantastic! Oct 23, 2013

    By xxv3x3xsxx
It is one of those games that is as addicting as bejeweled blitz. You never wanna stop playing! I had heard about this game on CGR (Classic Game Room) and I immediately looked into it. I had heard of Bullet Hell Shooters before but never really got to play them. First time playing it was, in one word AMAZING! The sound track keeps you ramped up through-out the stages and the boss theme always seems to get me. It is so worth the price. I'm never gonna sell my phone or give it away just because of this game it is a Classic!!!

  • Flawlessly flawed Sep 4, 2014

A grew at title...don't let the subtext detour you from thinking it's not. This game is beautiful and fun BUT like previously it retains is bland appearance which makes the stages seem redundant with new enemies but you don't even notice the differences much as they're all pretty simple. The color in the bullets is what catches the eye intentional or not I don't think it was the greatest choice to make. The music is fun but can get old without music options hearing the same stage songs can also make the game feel like a long trek. Most games choose different types of music for these games because it's easy to relax to remember and or forget. When using actual music it's sometimes a good and bad thing. (Listening to a new song released on a radio everywhere) you get burnt out easier an faster. Overall this game is great and still worth it's price.
  • Very solid game, but feels a bit incomplete Jun 28, 2015

    By Wozzing
Danmaku Unlimited 2 is one of the best shoot-em-up games to be found on the App Store. The game mechanics are simple but reward skillful gameplay, the enemy attack patterns are intense and challenge the player in numerous ways, and it is very pleasant to listen to and look at. My complaints, though, would be that at 5 stages, it's shorter than many other shmups and leaves me feeling dissatisfied, and although the visuals are crisp and the music is energetic, the lack of aesthetic variety make the stages and bosses seem like they're blending into each other. It almost but not quite feels like a complete product. That having been said, DU2 is still an excellent deal at its price point and is a great buy for anyone looking for an engaging shmup experience.

*SOUND ISSUES sfx not working, ALSO SOUND CUT OUT AT TIMES. Needs to be optimised for S8 S8 Plus aspect ratio ALSO. - Such a beautiful game to play, controls work well and gameplay is addictive and will keep you coming back for more. No IAP means that you can enjoy the game in Its entirety with a One off payment.....Recomended.

I really like DU2 and prefer the touch controls here to the PC version's, but I'm having persistent issues with the game stuttering and freezing. Real downer. Edit: I'm not sure which update gets the credit, but the game is waaayyyy more stable now. Very good!

Can you please fix this game for the galaxy S9? If I use full screen I have to touch near the options. My finger doesn't line up with the options when starting or ending a game. I have #2 and #3 of this game series and I like the games but playing #2 would be so much cooler with this issue fixed.
