  • Love it! Feb 7, 2020

This is, hands down, my favorite dance cardio and sculpting workout! I do a ton of online workout videos, and have years of experience doing Tracy Anderson and Simone de la Rue workouts (which I enjoyed), but I like this series better than any dance cardio out there. The Dance Body workouts are actually fun, and after only a couple weeks, my body is toning in a way that I couldn’t achieve with other online workouts. I wasn’t initially confident about following the format, but I’ve grown to love it. It reminds me of dance class, and I appreciate that the dances aren’t overly instructive or basic, which would quickly become boring for me. The physical workout is comprehensive and I feel worked out in a good way. As indicated, it takes a few runs to get down the basic moves, but after that, it feels like dance practice! It’s probably not for super beginners unless you have the patience to practice and follow choreography. The sculpting classes are also physically challenging, but pretty simple to follow. I haven’t done a live class yet, but I’m excited that’s an option. If you aren’t a professional dancer, but kind of always wanted to be, this is for you!

DanceBody is unique and amazing!! It has also given me results faster than I expected. The sculpt classes not only tightens the muscles but it strengthens the body to dance with better posture. The dance classes always boost my mood and confidence. Highly recommend!

I have been doing DanceBody with Katia and Courtney in NYC since they were renting small studios it the city for 3+ years. This is my favorite dance cardio ( I’ve tried them all TA, BBS, AKT, TSS) and sculpt classes. I have always done studio classes but started the live app classes during quarantine. They have kept me sane. The music is fun and the instructors are enthusiastic with dance backgrounds. Signature was the original dance cardio class. You learn one routine and perfect over 3 months. Sculpt is no dance for toning except for a short burst to warm up. You will still be dripping with sweat! Full out and Level 10 are advanced dance routines. Dance express/101 are beginner with lots of repetitive easy dance movements. The app has the same classes as the city and are very challenging unlike some online classes. I would highly recommend this app and supporting small women led businesses. They also do pop up classes all over the country like Miami and LA and seasonal classes in hotspots like Hamptons and Aspen.

  • Highlight of my day during quarantine! May 12, 2020

I am an ex-dancer and fitness fanatic that suffers from general anxiety here and there. I got stuck in the Philippines due to Covid19 and haven’t been able to do the normal intense workouts that are a part of my wellness routine. I started doing DancebodyLive simply to occupy my time during quarantine and ease my anxious thoughts. I loved it so much and I believe it is helping my mental and physical health during this tough time! The only qualm I have is that I wish the live classes could be played back afterward since I am on a 12 hour time difference. However, I’ve still been waking up at 5:30 and 6 AM to take the Signature classes because I love them so much. 😻

I downloaded the app on my TV for the live classes. Works fine on my phone but cant get the live classes on my TV to work. Any suggestions?? Too small to do classes on my phone. Also all the on demand work fine. Thanks!

  • Love DB, app is worse than DB at home Apr 21, 2020

    By ariekg33
The app itself is great and very user friendly but the variety is far less than it used to be. I miss the option of class playback for lives up to 24 hours after the class. The on demand leaves a lot to be desired—there are very few full length class videos and the classes that are longer have worse music than the live classes in my opinion.

Loving the live app. Sometimes it is difficult to see exactly what the movement is and sound occasionally is hard to hear over the music. I take mostly the sculpt classes. Also, it seems like there are not a ton of on demand for full sculpt classes and much more live classes. Which I can’t seem to make the live classes work with the times as I’m not in the same time zone.

  • So many classes 💜💜💜 Mar 28, 2020

DanceBody’s live classes have become my favorite part of the day during quarantine. Love that they’re live and that there are so many of them. Who would have thought I’d be getting in shape by just staying at home?!! Four stars only because audio quality could be better. Hard to hear the instructors with the music on.

I love the workouts...... however the live classes don’t fit with my schedule. There are only a few on demand classes vs countless classes they use to have. Unfortunately now the on demand live classes were not filmed live so they aren’t compete classes. For example there is no full signature class just the cardio section. The class does not have any of toning after the cardio, which the full signature classes have. I workout at 6am before work and thought I’d try the 7am class- it started 15 minutes late so it went over 15 minutes. Needles to say I wasn’t able to enjoy the whole class because I had to end at 8. I’m sure a lot of people like live classes but for me it doesn’t provide the freedom to do the workouts when I can.

  • Save the live classes !! Jul 2, 2020

    By hummingpita
I was very stoked to get this app after doing some of the workouts on the instagram. I honestly feel bad for giving just 3 stars but the fact that live classes are not saved at all even for few extra hours is very disappointing. I do not live in East cost which makes attending live classes very hard. Given that app is not cheap compared to other fitness apps out there, it is hard to keep paying for only handful of on demand classes if I can not attend a live class. One small feature of saving the live classes and I will give this app a 5 star.
