IF you are going to be working out at say 10 am and you want to warm up before your workout, yoga is one of the best ways to do it. It helps you to stretch and get ready and reduces your chances of injury.

I cannot recommend this strongly enough. I’ve tried many yoga apps and imo this one is the best. It has courses of various lengths covering a wide variety of practice styles, which are easy to find, filter through and save. It is 1000% worth the money to upgrade to Gold—just keep an eye out for one of the MANY discounts they offer before buying your subscription. With the small fee, you have soooo many courses at your fingertips and the smart coach feature is awesome. Thanks to the teeny bit of gamification built-in, this app has motivated me to keep up a daily practice for 632 days and counting—whether it be a quick 8 min spinal re-set or an hour long practice. I love so many of the courses, my body feels and looks stronger, and I don’t think I would have become so consistent with my practice without this app. The few times I’ve contacted them for support, they have responded within hours having already addressed my issues. Finally, this is a nimble app consistently adding new courses and upgrading the platform to improve the user experience. They regularly survey users and actually seem to use the data collected to adjust the UI or course offerings. I’m crazy satisfied and imagine I’ll use this app for many years to come.

Gyms and studios are closed all around me. Daily yoga has been so great to get back into fitness. Doing yoga for beginners free app is so kind! I love the ability to be able to substitute workout depending on the available equipment I personally have. I do wish there was more setting in terms of food and depending on individual goals, but other than that it’s definitely worth having this app.

I started with one trainer, who was great, but I switched because I realized I prefer doing more. Havingmuch option to switch around to meet our preferences is what made me keep the Daily Yoga app. Lastly, having the opportunity to join a challenge on the app also motivated me. I’ve been wanting to join a challenge but the idea of going to an outdoor gym at 5am or 7pm during a pandemic was not appealing. Being able to join a challenge from home at the time of day that works best for me was a plus! I love it! Thank you! For me it is more than a yoga for beginners free app more like a mentor and friend.
  • Basically have to buy pro BUT WORTH IT Apr 25, 2021

I paid for a year of pro for $54 after tax with their amazing discounts they offer to EVERYONE! So while you’ll need to buy it after about a month of consistent practice (you’ll go through all the free trainings I swear) it’s worth the money. Customer support is very quick to respond to emails and get you right back to your yoga routines. I have never had such an amazing experience with a workout app in my life. As a 22yo mom of a toddler I don’t have time to go to the gym, daily yoga has allowed me to do my workouts and stretches in my house with my daughter (who makes me work harder lol) whenever I have time. Their instructors go slowly and explain everything including where you should be feeling the burn if your muscles aren’t used to being worked and I promise there are muscles in your body you barely use and they will BURNNN! In the last 4 months of being a pro member I have lost 30lbs and all I do is eat junk, drink wine and do yoga! BUY THE PRO they also do monthly subs AND STAY CONSISTENT! Amazing app, amazing instructors, amazing routines and options to create your own schedule based on what you’re trying to achieve for your own body. I can go on and on about how great this is.

I have been using Daily Yoga for a little over a year and I love it all. The app is clean, easy to use, and the software updates always seem to be enhancements, not bug fixes! Calendar could use work. It’s super user friendly and I could sync it to my calendar. If you want to try a yoga for beginners free app, it's the bst choice!

I am new to yoga, i started using this app and instantly loved how detailed the sessions were but trying to do a work out off a little screen (my phone.), I found it difficult to do my Exercises. i have chrome cast but that didn’t work for this app sadly. This app does support Apple TV but i didn’t want to purchase one, I didn’t think it was worth buying one. Thinking I could find another app that supports chrome cast, i went on a search and found many apps downloaded a few and none supported chrome cast. Finally I found one I could connect to from my laptop to my tv. I was so excited I didn’t even think twice I signed up and paid for the year membership (big mistake) I went to go do my first session on this other app and it was so hard for me to catch up nothing was explained :( and I was so disappointed it wasn’t fun for me like the fun I have when working with this app (Daily Yoga). So I went to the store that night and purchased an Apple TV and i am so happy i did. I look forward to doing yoga everyday, i notice a big difference with my body, slowly becoming more flexible and legs are looking more toned 30 min sessions feel like 10 min sessions. This app is the best one for me. If you’re a beginner like me try this app, you won’t regret it! :)

I love this app and the diversity of workouts that it gives. I love that you’re able to swap out certain sets due to difficulty availability. It is great the app allowed you to track the weights used for each movement so that im able to track my progress. Overall, it’s an easy to use app with a lot of versatility and a nice yoga for beginners free app!

I started with this program 3 years ago, I think. I am still doing level 1/2, but that is what I love about it. I can work comfortably at what level I want, however long I want, and when I want. I am focusing on my flexibility because of an illness I have that has required the use of prednisone. I will probably always have to take it, but I am at just 2 mg a day. Who knows, my aim is 0 mugs a day. After doing this program for only a year, my bone density scan even showed improvement, not “no change”. My rheumatologist was as proud as I was. FYI- I am a 57 year old retired school teacher with polymyalgia rheumatica. Yes, it is a disease, and it comes and goes. It is autoimmune and loves to attack muscle tissue, like my hips, thighs, neck, shoulders, elbows, and knees. It is not arthritis, but is is so very painful and makes me move like a statue that has been frozen for hundreds of years that finally gets to moves. It is fine as long as I continue to move, but the moment I sit down to rest I have to go through it all over again. No matter the circumstances, I am always happiest when doing the program. Again, I love you GUYS!

This app offers sooooo many different workouts to choose from but I’ve stuck to the same program. The workouts aren’t ever exactly the same and they build off each previous week, so I keep getting stronger without ever getting bored. I reached out to the support team once about 6 months ago, because I was frustrated and struggling with some injuries. Told them it would be cool if they offered some low impact substitutions. While at the time they didn’t have this available (but was something they were already working on) they came back with 3 or 4 different ways to adjust my workouts to avoid further aggravation. I love it! It’s so easy to sub out workouts due to equipment restrictions, or because it’s too easy, or too hard. The videos and instructions for each workout are spot on. I really really love this app! More than a yoga for beginners free app.
  • Great app, confusing menu Jun 13, 2021

Update - the app UI seems to have been updated and is more clear now. Changed the rating from 4 to 5 stars. Great yoga app! I am a beginner at yoga. The workouts are great, the voice guiding and videos are amazing too, but the menu is so confusing. Just as a feedback for developers: there is so much content on the app and its really hard to navigate, I spent 4 days of using this until I figured out how to continue with my started exercises. Literary, every day I go back and try to figure out how to simply go on with my exercise. Feels like a bonus problem solving training 😂 Honestly, it is so confusing to navigate in this app that I literary pushed myself to try out an exercises before I was going to delete it initially when I first downloaded the app. And I am glad I did, because as I mentioned the content is great. However, I assume that many people might just not give it a chance after spending a couple of confused minutes when they first download the app. And that is the only reason I took out a star, other than that it is the best yoga app I have tried so far 👌🏼

Rating zero because of the vibes. I already paid for a year of premium, but the homepage is full of ads to buy more stuff, and they keep emailing me marketing. Then, I go in to start a session. I choose level 1 flexibility, and they had me do standing side knee raises and a plank. The narrator was talking about feeling strong and 6 pack abs. I just don't see this as being specialized or calibrated at all. Fully regret this purchase.
  • Limiting Free Programs!!!! Nov 21, 2020

    By thewolveriness
Ok, I don’t know when this started, but certain, mainly relaxing, exercises have been cut short in the free programs and it sounds like in order to get the full experience, like you did before, you now have to get a subscription IN ORDER TO USE THE FREE EXERCISES!!!!! What the heck?! Some of us don’t have the money to do the prices on those subscriptions! Now, you’re taking that away from us?! Why?! I’ve been using this app for several years and am thinking about switching now that my exercises are limited! This year has already been hard enough on everyone, and now you get money hungry and are limiting the exercises in the “free” exercises?! This really isn’t cool! I love this app, but now I think it’s time to shop around for something new. The free exercises are really being limited now! Exercises keep getting skipped in the middle of the videos and it’s not only messing with the videos, but my body as well! It sounds like free really isn’t free! This is getting ridiculous! Give us all the exercises in the free videos!!!
  • I just want to do yoga and love my body Jan 10, 2019

I've been using this app for about six months and I'm finally done with it. The selection menu is not intuitive, and even the intro/beginner sessions do not provide modification options for those of us who are not naturally stretchy, so I spend half my time awkwardly flailing around trying to find a modification that does the same strengthening or stretching as the described position. This stuff is annoying but it's not why I'm ditching this app. I am FED UP with the body-negative language and abundance of sessions that imply bizzare body standards. Can I find a core strengthening session? Only if I dig. Can I find several sessions relating to improving the firmness of my breasts? You bet I can. And then, if I finally find a general toning session, it's called something like "Arm Flab Toning." Wow, thanks for the judgement. I stuck around for as long as I did cause I paid money for the subscription but it's just not worth the judgement any more.
  • Maybe the gold would be better? May 3, 2019

    By Peony827720
Don’t purchase the silver package, it’s just used to get more money from you to purchase the gold. Which to upgrade instead of originally paying $40 for gold would now put you at $60. The apps hard to navigate, it is hard to know what practice you’ve already done, the survey at the end is annoying, probably not seeing that if your gold. None of the practices and instructors in the silver are matching up to what I did in the trial. I’m super disappointed. I’d love for it to be like the trial practice that made me want to put any money at all towards it. Right now it’s just a frustrating waste, I’m trying to navigate and I don’t want to go home and practice with it because it’s hard to choose a practice. Last nights practice was a waste of my time.

This app is lovely- if you have pro. I personally don’t tend to invest into apps, but this app makes it basically impossible not to. As a non-pro, you only get a few lessons- and that’s it. Nothing else. I understand it’s cheaper than a gym and that the app wishes to make income, but that shouldn’t happen by limiting opportunities. If your true goal was to help everyone, then why would you make it so hard? I also can tell that the search feature is very off. I can specify things, but it seems to give me random things in response. I sent a message asking about this, and I received no response. There should also be a place to find which lessons you have previously done. If there is already one, it is either extremely hard to find or only for pro. I can’t seem to enjoy relaxing with yoga when I can’t even find lessons. In all, I would not recommend this app if you want to do yoga. Try to find an alternative where you can navigate it easily and don’t have to pay for everything. Yoga should be about mediation and relaxing, not worrying about how to get to it. I hope the creators can improve this app, as I truly wish for it to work. But for now, that’s all I can handle. Thank you for your time.

I wasn’t able to access a rewind button. Perhaps this is part of the idea? That you just keep going? I also wanted to be able to do something that I could share with my friend who has never done yoga but I felt some of the spiritual fundamentals were missing and the focus was mostly physical, which is a preference for some, just not me personally. I did pay a good chunk for the app so that did feel a little disappointing that it didn’t offer the versatility I was looking for. Overall, however, there are certainly more pros to this app than cons. I really enjoy the access to such a wide range of resources including music and especially motivation. I like that you can choose to do a quick run of it where if you were to go to a class you sometimes feel like you’re locked in to that time frame. This offered me the chance to be able to look at what was available and be more apt to do it because you think to yourself “it’s only 20 minutes” or “it’s only 30 minutes” and for someone like me who had really neglected my practice and feel somewhat really rusty now, it’s a great way for me to be forgiving to my body as I get back to my comfort in my practice.

Here are my personal issues: 1. I paid a good chunk of monies & can't even download the videos to my phone to keep, the price is for a year. 2. I get that music is a part of the 'shtick' for focus & relaxation but I'm deaf (I wear hearing aids) and it's hard to hear the poses and instruction. Also, no CCs. 3. Can't seem to cast it to my TV for easier watching while trying to do the poses But otherwise it's a decent app.
  • best yoga app i’ve found Nov 6, 2020

    By You're_My_Pikachu
I’ve downloaded so many yoga apps, this is honestly the best one i’ve found. I had it on the free trial for a few weeks to really know if i liked it and ended up buy the membership, which is definitely worth it. After buying the membership though I got a little overwhelmed with the amount of options for practices and sessions there are lol. There are a lot of pop ups for buying the membership even after you buy it, but it’s worth it with the amount of sessions there are! The daily water tracker is the worst thing about the app. Sometimes i can press the water cup, sometimes i can’t, and sometimes i accidentally hit the wrong one and can’t impress it. I get reminders every time i need to drink water, and the majority of the time i don’t drink it so i get quite irritated with the notifications every two hours and i can’t figure out how to turn just those ones off.
  • Absolutely love it Jan 1, 2021

I had no clue what yoga even was before I found this app. I have learned so much from it by now, that I can even do my own little yoga routines without the help of the app if needed, because I know when to breath and how to flow from one pose to the next and it’s all thanks to this app. I’m actually slightly addicted to doing yoga most mornings and nights, I have felt a huge improvement in my pain levels. The only thing I think I would change is being able to make notes on the different routines and sessions so I can see, remember, and keep track of how that session was for me and how I am doing as far as improvement. I can never remember which session it was that I did a couple days ago that I loved and really helped my back or I really didn’t love because it had these poses and I am not to that level yet, or whatever. That’s the only reason I didn’t give it five stars.
  • It meets my needs... Mar 19, 2019

I downloaded this app to help me get into a better yoga habit & improve my mobility & flexibility since I sit most of the day at work. I decided to go with the paid subscription because I wanted access to more sessions as well as the meditations. The cost is fairly inexpensive especially compared to a face-to-face yoga class & with it being on my phone, I can do my yoga practice even while traveling. I like the variety of yoga sessions & the meditations but I could not give it five stars because: 1) the “instructors” speed is a little too fast for my preference which makes it difficult, especially for beginners, to get into a nice breathing & movement flow. I’ve been doing the “Easy Yoga for Complete Beginners” in the mornings & I feel a bit rushed through the movements. I wish there was an option to slow it down a tad. 2) the daily topics either never load or take a long time to load. I’ve been trying to “view details” & often have to switch to another open app first which doesn’t make any logical sense to me. 3) it’s also not the easiest to navigate & it would be nice if I could customize my home screen including an option to have the “check-in” on the same screen as my session for the day instead of having to navigate to various screens every time.
  • Good app if you actually use it May 15, 2020

    By FoldMom
I purchased this app two years ago and paid for Pro, but I only used it a few times. So when my subscription was nearing the end I contacted support to see if they would offer a credit or a discount to renew. Their rep, Ann, told me they would give me three extra months if I renewed for another year. So I did. I did not see the subscription update in the App Store, so I contacted them to ask why. I sent a few emails over the past three months, but never received a reply until today. The subscription end date shows correctly in the app, but not on the App Store. No one could tell me that until today. I give the app five stars, but I’m taking one away for the extended wait to receive a simple reply. Did they keep their promise? Yes, they did. It is a great app if you will actually use it.

  • A very good yoga app Feb 27, 2021

    By LadyLantz
It’s a good app for what it does, except that the person announcing the moves in some of the courses I have taken so far sounds like she has never taken a yoga class in her life. The people demonstrating the poses sometimes seem uninterested. That said, I have taken a lot of classes and courses in three months, and there are some very good ones. Unfortunately, in my opinion, Daily Yoga is trying to also gets its foot in the door in Pilates and Meditation, and those efforts are far less successful. If you are looking for a yoga app with some different routines, give it a try. Be warned: the app’s search feature is not very good. You may need to try several fairly specific searches to get good results. Thus far, it is a very good app, but not an excellent one.
  • Yoga basics Dec 18, 2020

    By Cysp1
I am returning to yoga after a long time, and I am back to re-learn the basics. This is the third app I’ve tried for that purpose, and actually they’re pretty good at explaining the basics in a way that I don’t feel as much of unyielding piece of steel, and just as someone who will eventually learn how to bend. I like the variety of classes, I just would love to see more descriptions of them before committing to a long class series. I don’t care for all the reminders during the day because it interrupts my workday. I may just have to turn off all the reminders, but I do like them after work hours are done. If I was at work his wouldn’t be an issue at all because I wouldn’t be seeing them. Maybe post-covid this will resolve itself.
  • Great variety, not for the person who has done any yoga before Jan 4, 2020

    By webechillin887
Great app that unfortunately has the “let’s hurry up and get this over with” mentality for a lot of their free programs. With the exception of 2 practices I’ve done, I find myself wishing that that they would spend more time on the poses, to actually get a stretch in, feel muscles working, and give you time to breathe and slow the mind through the pose. Holding poses for 4 seconds does not allow for any of that and being rushed in yoga is completely counter productive. I’m sure if you buy the “pro” package the programs will actually give you time to work through the poses, but I wish they would slow down and give their beginners a chance to develop some breath work skills before they buy the whole app. Hopefully the “pro” version has more to offer. All in all if you’ve NEVER done any meditation, yoga, or breathe work this might be a good intro for you. But for those of us who HAVE, the free app will not be enough for you.
  • It’s fine but unrefined Jan 23, 2021

    By brianna_brezzy
The app is ok. I wish there was more free content and it’s annoying when a corse that’s been free is moved behind the pay wall without warning. I like the idea of the community aspect but it’s not for me and it can be annoying that you have to post in order to interact with some of the challenges they have. The coin system probably annoys me the most. They keep handing out the coins but never update the store so they seem like a non-prize at this point. There are also other types of rewards they you get for logging in and a level system that seems to be just for show and, from what I see, are not actually useful for anything. I just want to get comprehensive yoga flows and this app is the best for that but the rest seems unnecessary. I would maybe pay for the app for the courses but it feels like the price is inflated because of the unnecessary frill and turns me away.
  • Buggy- skips poses Dec 1, 2020

    By PetraInNoe
I’ve used the Daily Yoga app since it was 100% free...maybe 5 or 6+ years. 99% use it for Morning yoga 15 min routine- it’s short but I do it every single day so the forced upgrade to pay & keep access to that was worth it. However, 1) after the last update a few weeks ago - poses keep getting skipped- morning meditation & staff pose (super annoying- if I wanted to do my own guided yoga, I wouldn’t pay for the passive convenience of the app to guide); 2) the app has always been super annoying continuing to try & force engagement. Get rid of the pop-up star boxes or make it an option in settings. After routines quit forcing me to an engagement page where my only option is to quit the app on reopening so I can get back to the homepage the next morning when I open and just want to do my Morning routine. It’s not like I’m using the free version, so stop hassling me in the UI.
  • A glitch and a few concerns Jul 20, 2019

    By Harra M.
I’ve only been using this app for about a week. It’s been on my phone for way longer though. When I completed my first real quick, it glitched out on the 7th day and said I was only active on the app for 6 days. There is suppose to be a surprise on the 7th day, but I never got to know what it was since the calendar glitched out and reset. Also, some exercises that use to be to be free, are no longer free cause of the new update. Was kind of upset but I thought I could just take the exercises off my practice. Sadly, I can’t. Whenever I click on them it says I need to be a Gold Pro member. If it’s possible for me to remove them somehow, please let me know. Since I just started using the app, I decided I would wait a while before I bought Gold Pro membership. Besides these minor problems, the app is fantastic. Just hope these few issues can be solved.

  • Hard to Navigate Apr 11, 2019

    By Crimson_Sights
