I think it's so sad that you can't do a one time payment to remove the ads... I'm so tire of these money hungry developers. THIS APP HAS WAY TO MANY ADS THAT IT'S HARD TO FOCUS YOUR TIME WITH GOD!!! Update: March 6, 2019 I pay the $10.00 subscription so, I don't have to see abs.. But, I still see ADS... YOU SHOULD BE A SHAME OF YOURSELF !!!

  • Too annoying and way too expensive

    by K B P

While I enjoy the content of this app, I am looking for something else. I haven’t seen another app with ads as in-your-face as this one. The app has 3 parts that I open each morning: the devotional, a trivia question, and a (usually awful) Biblical joke. Obnoxious ads pop up every time you open each part. It was annoying enough when it was just print ads that I could close, but now there are video ads that come on and they are LOUD. You can’t close them without watching for several seconds. There is also an annoying golf game ad which can’t be closed. I have to exit the app and come back into it to get away from that one. And when I do - you guessed it - another ad is waiting. Also the subscription cost of this app is ridiculous for the amount of content that you get. If there was a reasonable one-time fee to go ad free I would consider it, but I’ll never pay that subscription fee, so I’m finding another devotional app.

  • Recycled Devotions & long ads

    by Tuesday3oh9

I used to have this app a few years ago and lost it when I switched phones. Today I saw a devotion that I had shared to Facebook in my memories from this app. I decided to download it again because I remember how much I enjoyed it. The ads have taken over. I do not remember having to watch obnoxious ads like that. I don’t mind ads, but not ones that take over the whole screen and force you to watch for a certain amount of time. What really gets me, however, is the recycled devotions. The memory on my Facebook was from 2013 and the devotional that I read today was EXACTLY THE SAME. Every year, on the same day is the exact same devotional. There is so much to God’s word to limit it to just a year’s worth of devotionals. The app just isn’t worth it. If you’re looking for a connection/help with the word look somewhere else, because it seems like the developers at this point are just trying to make a little extra money in the easiest way possible.

  • This WAS a Wonderful app!

    by Lb 27

I'm changing my rating from 5 stars to 1. I used to love the app and enjoyed the verses and explanation but now One has to watch a video advertisement before reading scripture! It's ridiculous. I'm no longer going To use it now. I dealt with the ads at the bottom of the screen, then the weird picture adds before the scripture, but this is too far. Is the money you're making off the adds really worth it if you're keeping people from reading God's word and your insightful breakdown of the scripture? The ad I just watched was an advertisement about a MURDER MOVIE?! Really?? I decided to close out the app and not read through a devotional. God’s word is good and true but should I really be trusting a devotion written by someone putting advertising for murder movies on their opening page you’re forced to watch before reading His word? I doesn’t sound like a good idea to me.

  • This Used to be a 5 Star App

    by TMR1771

It’s frustrating because I’ve made donations to this app more than once from its infancy and now they have turned the really obnoxious ads back on. I used to read it morning and night, now I avoid opening the app because I know I’ll get slammed with long video ads. I’m seriously considering deleting he app after having it on my phone(s) for years...I’ve enjoyed the twice daily devotional passage for years, even when they repeat, but I feel like a monthly subscription to keep from wasting my time is getting greedy. If you asked for a donation to shut off the ads for a year, without specifying an amount, I think you would get more money. The threat of a monthly charge or $10/year for a devotional app makes me want to delete it from my phone.

  • by David Overall

it worked fine for a few weeks, now it doesn't know what day it is and so gives random old readings again. Of those it does show it often only shows the morning one and never the evening. This is before you factor in the hugely inteusive adverts. Sadly uninstalling. This app has a lot of potential but needs work.

  • Ads are excessive

    by TheStewartfamily

I have used this app for years, and understand that it is free due to ads within the app. However, there are just too many ads. There are ads at the bottom like how it used to be, but each time the app opens there is an instant ad pop up. This actually detracts from the purpose of this app. You aren't getting to use the app as part of your devotional if something pops up and becomes a distraction. Especially when that distraction is a video ad without the option to close it immediately. You as a company may not think 15 seconds is much, but as a user of your app it is ridiculously excessive. Are you truly wanting to provide a Christian based devotion to us, or is it all about making money off of ads?

  • Toooooo many ads!

    by PsychRN2010

I really like this app, minus the very obnoxious ads! It’s very very distracting and takes away from reading and sharing God’s Word! I have many awesome devotional apps & none of them force U 2 watch ads b4 U can even read the verse of the day and the other cute things on the app. I’ve tried to get through the ads. Thinking that maybe they’ll make it so it’s optional to watch. But that hasn’t happened & so as much as I like the devotional, trivia & humor, I’m going to delete the app, with hopes that at sometime they will improve it by making it optional to view the apps by not having them take over the screen so that U R forced to watch b4 U can proceed!

  • by Jeany Lee

i always cannot get the devotion on time with the date especially the first day of the month. Last month i try to re-install again & it worked. But this month i have tried for few round it was still unsuccessfully worked. so i gave up after tried for few round!

  • You pushed me away from your app

    by mcmh68

I used to really like this app several years ago. I set the reminders and read my am and pm devos, and would wake or tuck my sons in with them and do the trivia and humor. Over the past year the jokes changed and sources for them. Not as good as the originals and very loosely tied to the Bible. Not so clever anymore. Now your ads are so invasive you can’t skip them right away and many include audio! I share devos over the phone and open or close in prayer. Today I started to open in prayer and we were both interrupted by an audio ad for Luminosity! I quit. I’m deleting your app. It’s no longer a serene place to go, but rather a highly distracting and frustrating experience.

  • by Travis Lively

it seems that every time it switches months theres an issue. I went through this when we went from December to January and now from January to February. I love the devotionals when they're there, but its getting frustrating. Here it is the evening of February 2 and mine still shows January 31.

  • Questionable Ad Content

    by HeIsFaithful

I have used and enjoyed this app for several years. Sadly there has recently been a change in the continuity between the contents of scripture and verses compared to the advertising used to support this application. Today an advertisement for a movie trailer played prior to loading the morning verse. The movie portrayed sexually suggestive behavior and activities not consistent with the purpose of this app. There was also no way to opt out of viewing this movie trailer other than to close the app. I would not have wanted my children of any age to see this movie trailer. And so, I have deleted this app from my phone.

  • by A Google user

I love this app but the ads is taking up the reading & I have to scroll down to read the rest of the scripts its so annoying & it makes me not want to continue with this app...so plese do something.. Why is it on the weekends the am reading is not available & the pm reading is? I went on settings & adjust the am & pm times but nothing has changed its starting to annoy me...

  • Where are the Bible references in trivia

    by Cleotulose

First off I have had this app for a few years I enjoy my quiet time at the beginning and ending of each day using this app. I think there are way to many ads. I do not like first thing in the morning or last thing a night for an ad to pop up that has sound! Disruptive to my quiet time with God. I also want to know why in the world you would take the Bible reference off the trivia. Most of the time when I get it wrong I want to look up the reference to familiarize myself with the story. But now I can't because I have no reference. Please please put that back.

  • Not being updated, no support

    by NPRListener

I’m only giving this app 2 stars because of the devotions and explanations. The explanations are way better than other apps. Now to the “why not 5 stars”... First of all, it has not been updated to fill the newer iPhones screens. Looks like a 5 year old app with the black bars on top and bottom on my iPhone X. Also the support is non existent, I try to login and tells me the password is wrong. I put my email to reset the password and it tells me the email hasn’t been registered. I try to register and it tells me the email has already been used to register... I email their support email and I get a bounce back from Google groups that the group doesn’t exist anymore. This app has so much potential if it were kept up to date. I would gladly pay the $10/year if the money was used to make improvements. Lastly the ads are ridiculous. Have to watch videos before I can read the morning devotion...

  • by Christopher Tilmon

If you would've asked me a couple of weeks ago, I would've given you 5 stars. Since the update I haven't been able to get any of my daily scripture readings. It will give me the date, but tells me that I'm too early to access it regardless of what time of the day and night it is. I've tried to uninstall and reinstall the program and I still get the same results. Please fix the problem.

  • Used to work now it doesn’t

    by ZSLMM

I’ve had this app for some years and I have loved it a lot but right now there’s a really bad problem where you can’t even get to the devotionals because there is an annoying ad that has gotten in the way. The add won’t disappear I’ve tried closing the app and then opening it back up and that hasn’t worked, I’ve also tried deleting and re-downloading the app and it has not fixed the issue. I really like this app but it’s literally useless since there is no way to get to the devotionals because the ad won’t let you access it. I hope this problem gets solved soon so I can enjoy this app again.

  • Awesome when I first downloaded it.

    by sconner69

This app was and still is awesome. The daily inspiration is fantastic. However in the beginning you would get one ad upon opening the app each morning. I understand that they have to get paid to do this work. But now is is two ads every morning and sometimes one or two in the evening. Starting to get annoying. Ok, now the Developers are selling ads to whomever will pay! Totally disgusted by the ad that popped up this morning. I think it is time for this app to go! A Christian app should do a much better job of screening their advertisers!

  • The ads are too much

    by Bermuda1978

I really like the app and understand that there are costs associated with making this app available to the customer for free. However, the ads are way too much. Especially the video ads that pop up at random times. I have my quiet time in the mornings and it is very annoying and alarming when I open the app and get attacked with a loud video add that sometimes shows inappropriate things. I would ask that you please remove the video ads and let all of us enjoy our “quiet” time. Thank you.

  • It’s heading out the door

    by daleboy1

I’ve had this devotional for several years now and it seems like in the last month or so it’s be overtaken by advertisements. Start reading the devotional and BAM! An ad pops up and you have to wait 5 seconds just to get it off your screen. I guess it’s more aggravating than anything but when your use to it being one way then all of a sudden all the advertising is dropped on them it’s a bad turn off. I guess if things don’t change I’ll have to go with another devotional.

  • Only Half

    by The Mom Bomb

by The Mom Bomb I was excited to get this app. But shortly after getting it, I wasn't able to get the PM devotionals. It said "you're too early". This is very disappointing to me. I really like the app but I feel like I am not getting the full benefit of this app. I am giving it two more weeks to fix this problem. After that I will look for a new devotional app. I would have given it 5 stars but because of only getting half of the devotions I am giving it a 2 star rating. Please fix this problem!

  • Great app but...

    by JUSTYCE BROWN

This app is great for newcomers or those like myself who are just trying to get back into their faith. I like the fact that there are two devotions a day and that if you forget to read them every once in a while you can go back to read them. However, the ads are absolutely ridiculous and very distracting. Every time you open the app they pop up, sometimes while you are already reading the devotion. I really would hate to delete this app but I am on the verge of doing so.

  • Was a great devotional app....

    by JustAnotherHorseLover

I’ve enjoyed this app for several years, but lately it’s become more hassle than it’s worth. The ads are awful - the popups and in-page ads are highly distracting and difficult to work around. The ad content is commonly trashy and has nothing to do with my walk with God. And sadly, because the devotionals are repeating more and more, it’s not worth a subscription fee to remove the ads. It was a great tool for awhile, but due to the changes made in the app, I’ll be utilizing other apps now.

  • Integrity

    by Frustrated 54321

I have enjoyed this app, and understand the needs for ads, but we need to be able to click away from them and, oh how I wish you practiced some integrity in the advertiser selection. To click an ad and be taken to crass, deceiving commercialism sites is unfortunate. Miracle pills? Belly fat? The Nuvapelle "Joanna" come on is untrue; these things matter more than dollars. You are running "Women can't stand this ads" with phallic symbols ... the ad goes to sites talking about stamina of porn stars? Don't these revenues directly conflict with your mission? Seek advertisers who put light, not darkness, into this world.

  • Ads instead of Jesus and the message

    by Reign4Christ

I am so disappointed in the assertiveness of ads present in the app now. I share this app so much but I know no one I know will download now with the ads-which takes away from spreading the gospel which I thought was the creators intention. When I click on the devotion of the day, it goes to one ad...then just as you are about to finally read the devotion, the SAME ad pops back up before you can read. Then under the verse is an ad that is distracting to the message! This is not growing the kingdom. I will delete soon.

  • Ads

    by bearpaul2

I always enjoy my devotional in the morning and at night. BUT with your annoying and obnoxious Ads has changed this. There’s nothing worst then praying before devotional and then bam loud very annoying music and a ad that I have no interest in. When I open the Devo app. that’s what I want a devotional NOT shopping. Makes me think of the scripture when Jesus become so angry about people gambling, buying and selling with in the temple walls.... think about it. I will find another option for a devotional app. Best of luck.

  • Karyn

    by 😇🦋

I used to really love this app, all of it. Now, it has become greatly disappointing. I used to start my devotional time daily with it. Now, the ads are very distracting & extremely inappropriate right in the middle of the Scripture verse & narrative; truly interrupting the Spiritual purpose of the devotionals. The ads are too many, too often & so annoying that I don’t read this too much anymore. I’m so close to deleting it, if it doesn’t change. I had enjoyed it for several years. Now, 👎🏽👎🏽

  • ADS, ADS, ADS

    by Belladonna Winters

I used to love this app. I have had it for years. Now, I find that when I open the app I instantly close it due to so many ads popping up in my face! I go through one ad, another pops up before I get the chance to click on the devo. I understand having ads since it is a free app. But the insane amount of ads they have added is overkill. I think I am going to have to delete this app and find another devotional app. Such a shame because I have had this one for so long.

  • Too many ads

    by melloDcool

I’ve had the app for a long time and I used to love it but the ads are obnoxious and distract me from the prayers. The autoplay with the volume on forces me to watch and listen to the ad which means I can’t even open the app w/o distributing someone around me; so using it at work etc for quiet reflection is gone too! Also the same devotionals are repeated over and over ..I tried to pay for the ad-free option but the app just hangs and I never get to a purchase.I’m finally just going to delete it... it’s a shame to lose it!

  • Too. Many. Ads.

    by aforman1993

I used to really like this app, I've been using it for about 3 years now, but lately the ads have been getting worse. I can open a devotion and see it for a second, then a video ad pops up without the option to close out of it. Too bad there isn't just a paid version of the app, I'd be willing to buy that than be bombarded with distracting ads and videos every time I open the app, but whatever, guess they need to make money.

  • Not Worth It

    by JOJOh777

So I’ve enjoyed this app for a few years now. The ads never really bothered me before a couple weeks ago. Now, they are nearly intolerable. It seems like an ad pops up on anything I click and the ads themselves are glitchy and freeze up the app. Also, recently I’ve noticed they are just cycle the same 15-20 Bible verses and devotionals. It’s become very repetitive. I like the structure and ease of use of this app but it’s quickly becoming more of a pain to use than a plus. EDIT: 1 star, the ads have made this app unusable. And they are still repeating the exact same scriptures on the exact same days for years now. EDIT #2: Now the ads that you’re allowing on your app are COMPLETELY INAPPROPRIATE! Video chat apps with young girls dancing in skimpy clothing! Shame on you for allowing that sexploitation to be advertised on your app.

  • Band Purchase

    by sconyers0706

I purchased a band from your online store and never received it. Payment processed but the bracelet was never sent and I purchased this bracelet for a dear friend of mine who is serving in the military. I felt it would be the perfect gift to keep her spirits up. It was purchased on August 14th and said to give 5-7 business days to receive it. I still have not received it and it is not September 10th. I’ve sent multiple emails and have not even received a response back. It’s a rip off. Do not purchase anything from the online store.

  • Customer Service does not exist

    by Snm8690

I have "Devovtion" App. I lked it until I couldn't open Evening Devos about 3 months ago. I have e-mailed the Company 3 times. But I just get a form e-mail back that say basically that they are too busy to answer back. This company needs to read its own Mission Statement and read its own Devos. I am attemting to cancel my subscription. Stay away from anything this company does. They are just another business trying to make money, not provide ministry. It is ashame, because their product is actually good.

  • Love this app but Please! Stop the adds.

    by Ron714

Can you please stop the adds. It is so distracting and takes away from the serenity that you should start out with when opening a daily devotional. I actually find myself angry when opening the app and then try to calm down to get in the right frame of mind. Therefore I don’t use this app everyday like I used to before the adds. I would even consider paying for the app if it were add free. Please, Please stop the madness!

  • Are you kidding me?

    by RoseRamirez

Tapped into the app yesterday to see a half naked woman dancing on my screen, then another one started dancing, then another, and finally a fourth woman with barely any clothing. This app now has ads for cam girls. I can no longer open this app in front of people, as I’m afraid they will think I’m watching porn. I thought this was supposed to be an app about Jesus? Now I can’t even open it in public. Sad to see another developer who only cares about money. Whatever makes the big bucks, right? Wrong. I’m deleting.

  • Too many ads

    by lindahhbeth

When I first downloaded this app I absolutely loved it. I enjoyed how relaxing it was to get a new devotional to start the day and one to end it. However, the ads in the app have gotten out of control! The minute I open the app, an ad pops up. Then I click on the morning or evening devo and another ad pops up! I understand that the makers of the app need to fund their project, but I finally deleted the app on my phone because it simply became too distracting.

  • Annoyed

    by lej9003

I used to enjoy this app for quick devotionals that helped me start & end each day on a positive & Godly note. Now, however, I’ve realized that the devotionals are recycled, & the ads have become too much. I end up getting annoyed with reading the devotionals because I get interrupted by ads at least twice while I’m reading, & then I end up recognizing the devotionals I’ve read. God’s word has soooo much more to offer than 365 days worth of teachings. The First 5 app has become one of my favorite devotionals now!

  • Used to be a great app......

    by Richard's Dell

I downloaded Devotions on both, my iPad and iPhone several years ago. As one other user mention, the downside to Devotions is that they’re duplicated after one year. Also, the AM and PM devotions change on a daily basis on my iPhone app but on my iPad the daily AM and PM devotions are the same devotions for every day of the week until the next day, then all seven days have the same AM and PM devotions! This is definitely a glitch that needs to be fixed on the iPad app, in addition to updating the daily devotions.

  • App has stopped working

    by Darleen Candy

I've been a follower of this devotion since 2013. My app has stopped working on my IPad since you last update. It prompts me to read Am and Pm devotions but nothing's there to read of than the advertisement that pops up. It's really a good devotional but you should take time to hear, and adhere to your Christian reading audience and those who use this app to draw closer to God. Be a doer and hearer!!!! I hope you will fix these glitch! I've dropped my ratings from a 5 to a 1 because of this problem on my IPad.

  • Too Many Commercials

    by captsteve54

I enjoyed this app when I first loaded it on my phone. It is a great compliment to when I complete my bible study. A time of peace with God. Now to open the app, I have to listen to ads and commercials which take away from my mood and worship. Both my wife and I are looking for another app that does not have commercials. This is not a place to have these type commercials. I’d rather pay a one time fee and not have commercials.

  • Loading Problems- Version 4.8.10

    by Mustangpokefan

Please please please please fix this app for iPads. I use it every day and it's been broken since early January 2017......thank you! Update......it's been 3 months and the iPad version is still broken. Can you please at least comment to let users know if they should just discard this app or if you are going to fix it. I used this app every day. Are you going to fix it? Don't understand why it works on an iPhone but not an iPad. Seems like an easy fix...

  • Loved for awhile, now can't handle the video ads

    by Dorydiver

Used to be a great, simple, daily dose of a verse. Now, 15 second Target ads (for example) before you can even read a devotion - and, I don't have a good, hard explanation for this, but the devotions also seem more half-hazard than they used to. I gave it over a month after this started happening to give it a chance and make sure I wasn't crazy, but I've since found another option that stays simple and down to earth.

  • I love this app, however the ads are horrible.

    by TM223

I absolutely love this app & the devotionals... but there needs to be away to get rid of the ads. Maybe for a small fee? It’s beyond annoying and I have thought of deleting this app on multiple occasions because of having to wait to read my devotional and sometimes the ads are very secular. Like why would I need a dating site? Please fix this or I will have to delete it.

  • Get a different one

    by Txpfizzle

The devotions are great. My issue is the commercialization. I found myself waking up to grab my phone and read the news and check emails... so I made it a point to go to my devotion first thing in the morning before looking at anything else. Well it worked for a while until the app sold out and opened with an advertisement, which defeats the entire point of what I was trying to accomplish.

    by Y2jae

I love this app and have nothing bad to say on the power of the app, however I can’t login and every time I put my password in and hit forget password it say to resubmit my email address cause it couldn’t send. Please I need this fixed I would like to connect with other and share the positive message of GOD. Help me change this review from a 2 star to a 5 without having to create a new email just for this app.

  • Ads with volume

    by whatneedstochange

Please turn off the sound on your ads that appear in your devotional app. I do my devotionals in the morning while everyone is still sleeping and your ads popping up with volume is very disruptive. This did not use to happen but after I did an update now I have ads with very loud volume. I frantically search for the volume icon to stop this but sometimes it’s too late...my infant is awake!!!!!!

  • I can’t subscribe

    by DebLda

To get rid of the excessive ads, I am trying to subscribe. When I click the button to subscribe, nothing happens. I’ve complained before and was told this would be resolved. Nothing has been resolved and it’s been three months. Do you make more money off the ads than the subscription? I love the app but there are others that aren’t so filled with annoying ads. Please help.

  • Adds are ridiculous!!!!

    by B1990 jan

This used to be my favorite devotional app. And I have even recommended to others. However, it started popping up an add when you are starting to read the devotion. This was annoying but I still kept the app for the content. Now you have to watch an add before you read the devotion! This is too far for me so I am deleting this app :( and on the search for a new one.

  • Adds are sooo annoying

    by MaryKate559

Adds are ridiculous! I love this app and have been a user for years!!! I’m so annoyed w the adds so I said, whatever just pay the $10 for the year. It WON’T let me purchase. I can’t get rid of the adds and I can’t pay to subscribe. At this point...There are others I will have to enjoy wo the headache. I would give this app ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Bc I LOVE...LOVED....it. I hope you can fix it. If so..I’ll change my review but until then.. I’m sadly moving on. 😢😢

  • Used to Be a Great App

    by Joyous201

Aside from the issue with the ads, I cannot "heart" devos or anything other than view them without logging in. However, when I attempt to log in, I get an error message about a wrong password. When I choose the forgot-password option, I get an email that my account doesn't exist. When I try to create a new account, I get an error saying there's an existing account under my email address. And, of course, when I attempt to contact the company for assistance, their email bounces back, saying it's undeliverable and doesn't exist. Ironically enough, this all happened on a day the devo was about good customer service and doing your best to assist others. App will now be deleted. I'm pretty disappointed.

  • Ads vs Content

    by whats happened?

I used to love this app. Ads now take it over. Pop up covering entire screen multiple times while reading. I know you need a way to pay for costs, but.... Please get rid of the large and loud apps. It was nice when the ads were just small and if I wanted to I could open them. They weren’t all in your face. Can’t get away. Will delete if this isn’t corrected.

  • iPad version is screwed up!

    by JemGirl77

First of all I HATE the forced landscape for iPads, haaaate it! Secondly the app doesn't even work anymore anyway for my iPad. It just shows the last devotion period, no others can be seen. I guess they don't care because it's been like this for a good while now. 😕 Oh and the ads are horrible!! I have a sleeping baby on me a lot of times and sometimes their stupid ads will pop up and have sound! Not cool with a sleeping baby!!!😖

  • Used to be good but not so much anymore

    by A rich

Every time I click on my saved bookmarks the app just freezes or kicks me out. I have literally tried 5+ times, and same result each time. The new ads I believe are to be the culprit. I hope these bugs are fixed so I don’t have to try a different devotion app. In the meantime, I’ll try sprinkle of Jesus until this is fixed.

  • I’ve not been fed as of late.....

    by PAMcWheaty

I have read this Devo faithfully for a number of years. I must honestly say that it’s quality has deteriorated steadily. I used to LOVE the opportunity to read it twice daily. I had to stop reading the humor portion due to frequent crude body function “humor”. It seems like recently, the number of pop-up ads has increased, some very inappropriate and occurring as I am trying to be contemplative and prayerful. As a previous writer mentioned, I am seeing a fair amount of repetition in the Devos as well. I am going to hang in for a while longer, but if there are not significant changes soon, I will regrettably have to seek out a different inspirational ap.

When I try to log in, it always comes back SIGN IN DENIED. So I go to sign up, it always comes back ACCOUNT ALREADY REGISTERED. So I go back to Log in, comes back SIGN IN DENIED. So I hit Forgot ? , thinking I may have the wrong password. But that comes back, MAKE SURE E-MAIL IS A VERIFIED ADDRESS . I have no idea what that means as I have been using that address for years. This is the only way I have hopes of you reading this as anything else sends me on a run around without solving the problem.

  • Too many adds now.

    by Anthony Yanez 1989

This used to be my favorite Bible devotion. It was perfect to do throughout the day or first thing in the morning specially as an add on to my scripture reading. I guess it was becoming popular so they sold the ad space. There is nothing more annoying than trying to do a quick devotional and getting three pop-ups for a random Nonsense that you have to keep closing out before you can read it.

  • Sad about having to delete

    by too busy for you.

I am unable to rate I would give it a minus. It’s hard to read the daily devotion when you have to go through multiple pages of ads. Three ads interrupted me trying to read the devotion. I am deleting the ap from my phone. I really like what this ap has to say. It’s just sad that getting paid for all the ads is more important than getting the message across. Marsha

  • Quite Disappointed

    by MsHushpuppy71

I have had this app for a long time now & considered it one of my fav apps. I used it to do my Bible study but lately I'm not able to get my PM devotionals. Which is very disappointing. I have deleted and then reinstalled it to no avail, still no PM devotionals. I am trying not to delete this app for good, but if this app isn't fixed I am going to have to find another devotional app.

  • Ads

    by 072619405817195038173

I've used this app for many years. It's the way I start and end my day. However as many others have stated, the excessive video ads have really spoiled the experience. They are slow to load, off topic, and often cause the app to crash after playing. I'd rather pay a couple bucks for a paid version than this wonky update

  • Started as a good idea

    by Momja

I really enjoy this app but now with so many ads it ridiculous! I can’t even purchase the unlimited because the app won’t let me do it. It’s a shame when something started out so good and has turned like all other apps with long ads. I hope you find a way to draw more people rather than push people away.

  • Too many ads

    by T-Rex2011

Recently increased amount of ads and it’s a huge disappointment. Would be a great app without these forceful and annoying ads. People read devotions for inspiration and these are done in poor taste - even the products they choose to allow to advertise seem like the wrong type for this app. Fix this problem!

I’d settle in for the night tired and ready to enjoy a devotional before going to sleep. I’d click on the devotion for that evening then BLAH BLAH BLAH blasting ads! I even tried to pay for the ad free version but I couldn’t. I ditched this app and I know who you are

I just wanna read daily devotions and spend time in the word WITHOUT being bombarded with ads which is impossible with this app.

  • All about the money

    by RoyaltyWazer14

Pop up ads in your face weren’t bad enough. Now they’ve gone political, fundraising for a border wall. I’m sure Jesus would be proud.

  • Ads interrupt!

    by flipflopvgh

I’ve noticed recently that the ads are more frequent! They will pop up in the middle of my reading and I don’t like that! 😢 Considering deleting due to the ads! I’m going to delete my Daily Devotional due to ad interruptions! I start reading and an ad pops up right in the middle of my reading and gets me off track!

  • Is it Christ or Money that you seek

    by Enlightened Sheep

The political ads are disrespectful to what the messages we read in the Bible. I am reading about Love thy Neighbor and the ad is asking for money to build the wall?? Where in the Bible does it ask us to separate ourselves? Politics has NO place here. And for that reason I will no longer use this app. I know you dont care. You are getting money so my support means nothing.

  • Stressful, Loud...no longer brings me Peace

    by Sunshine193

Sadly I’ll be looking for a new bible devotional app. I’ve had this one for years, recommended it to others and shared verses I felt they needed to read at the time. I can no longer do that. At one time this bible devotional app brought me peace...now it brings a lot of stress. I’m tense and on guard when I go to open my morning and evening devotionals. The addition of the LOUD Ads is not doing a service for the product or this app. They’re so loud, obnoxious and in your face type ads. It honestly makes me NOT want to buy the product or watch the tv show. I understand needing ads...tv shows have them, internet has them, magazines have them...but they do not play at a ridiculously high volume. LET US CHOOSE if we want to hear it. We’re not always in a place where we can have sound turned on our phones but we may need to read the words of our holy Father. Work, Hospital, School, Plane, in bed next to a sleeping spouse, comforting a sick child and needing some Jesus comfort myself are just a few examples of when we don’t need volume but NEED JESUS. I found this app after my father passed away. I shared many devotionals with my sister and brother-in-law after her son / my nephew passed away at the age of 16...several years later my sister & her family lost a SECOND son at the age of 22. It brought many people comfort when they needed it the most. I appreciate this app bringing me and my family comfort and peace during the worst times of our life. I truly thank you for that. In the future I’ll check the ratings or app to see if improvements have been made. Until then God Bless and thank you for providing me with the word of our Lord for so many years.

I’m so tired of people useingvthiscsitvlike face book talkinking back and forth with each other. I hope Administrators will investigate and correct the problem or I will look for a new bible based daily devotion. I try not to judge and have tolerated for a while now. Please uses app as it’s suppose to study the word of god and inspire othersAdmin please reply to me ASAP. In Christ amen 🙏🏼 Please keep this app add from political questions. This is suppose to be about Our God Almighty Lord of Lords Kink of Kings. Thank you. Love the devotions . Amen 🙏🏼 1-26-19. I am looking for another devotional because of all the stupid adds and I can not afford to pay for devotions without ands. Today Devi speaks on being rich and those who dwell on being rich fall into pits. I feel this app is failing Our Lord and Savior and Christians everyday with add such as SHOULD TRUMP BUILD THE WALL, the golf game and loud ads you cannot exit without listening for a while. Please at lease leave ads to Christ based ads. Leave Political stuff out. It is all at Gods Feet . 🐸 FROG=Forever Rely on God. !!

  • Stop the Political Ads!

    by Tudordoods

I used to really enjoy this app, but I was appalled When I opened it and a political survey popped up. I close the app and reopened it and a political ad appeared. I could deal with the advertising, But the political stuff is just too much. I do not want my spirituality politicized. I am sorry to say I will delete this app and find a new one.

  • A week late/recycled

    by istolefreehugs

I noticed that the devotional for today (1/7) talks about ringing in the new year. Only problem is it’s a week late. As well as the fact I’ve seen the same old devotionals. Sometimes I do need a reminder but I’ve bookmarked the ones I want to remember. Please update and bring new devotionals. I love to see different takes on Gods word.

  • Annoyed

  • Ty's

    by The ads ruined it

I used awake every morning to read my devotion now the ad wakes up my entire family! I hate this app now it is no longer about sharing the word it's about how much money can I make from my ads! You have to navigate through to find the devotional in between all the ads it is just horrible. Do not waste your time find another devotional app

  • Love app but...

    by Strocketeer

Is there a way to remove ads? Very distracting I thought I recall actually buying this app years ago then one day the ads started- Church products dont need ads ever Where is the support of the developers local church? I would pay/donate $5 for this app if it would shut up the ads for good! Thats how God takes care of his children. And if the devotions really are ‘recycled’, allow us to read PM at anytime vs waiting

  • For daily devotional

    by WOLVERINE GATOR

Bad review because no one can be contacted and their apps cannot be paid for to have advertisements removed—-they are too money hungry!!!

  • Ads get in the way!

    by dkarpinski

Used to love the app but ads have really taken away from the enjoyment. The app developer really needs to put more emphasis on User Experience. I don’t mind ads when done tastefully and tactfully but these interfere with the fundamental use of the app.

  • Offensive video ads

    by httb31

I have loved this devotional app for years. Yes, it may be repetitive every year and that is a tad annoying but now that there are ads that you are forced to watch for a certain amount of time, has broken the straw on the camels back. I would rather pay for a great devotional that be forced to watch offensive ads. Deleting this app today. I’m done.

    by PsychRN2010

  • Too many political ads

    by agkeoeuznsb

I used to love this app and look forward to these twice a day. Now, every time you open the app you’re forced to watch a 30 second political ad. Facebook and tv are already bombarded with these it’s frustrating to have to sit through it to get to a Bible verse. Deleting.

I have used this app for years and have been blessed on many occasions. However, I am considering discontinuing the use of this application due to the obnoxious pop-up ads that take over the phone and sometimes result in embarrassing situations in public with suddenly loud advertisements that can’t be turned off for a period of five seconds.

  • Inappropriate advertisement

    by fhcrgjkhkfhdhj

Who approves the ads on your app? I live in Texas. The last few days I have opened my devotional to an advertisement from Beto O’Rourke. He supports abortion among other things and I would hope a Christian app would not subject its members to a politician, especially someone like him.

  • Ads

    by bearpaul2

I always enjoy my devotional in the morning and at night. BUT with your annoying and obnoxious Ads has changed this. There’s nothing worst then praying before devotional and then bam loud very annoying music and a ad that I have no interest in. When I open the Devo app. that’s what I want a devotional NOT shopping. Makes me think of the scripture when Jesus become so angry about people gambling, buying and selling with in the temple walls.... think about it. I will find another option for a devotional app. Best of luck.

  • Ads Ads Ads

    by Lozanos

I USED TO love this app but literally there are 3-4 ads that pop up for 5+ seconds each that you are forced to watch before you can even read the daily devotional. Originally there were no ads then, over time, there started to be just one ad and I was fine with putting up with that but now I cannot stand it so I am DELETING THE APP TODAY.

  • Great app

    by NP East

Love getting my messages daily. I’ve used this app for years and Love it! I will still use it I’m not going to delete it yet. But the ads take over the purpose of the app. Some are offensive and I pray that the developers make changes soon. God is watching you and how you are treating your readership. If not then in January for my new year resolution I will delete it! How do I get rid of ads?

  • Wonder

    by Debtripcraftcick

The devotions are wonderfully awesome 😊😊😊however the app has a few bugs not sure but won’t let me stop ads and that bugs big time 😩

  • Used to be good...

    by Yslaya

I used to enjoy this app and been using for years now but it got so bad with advertisements that I’m at the point of deleting it. When I use this app I want to read good word and seek Gods wisdom not being loaded with tons of offers and adds. I can go on Facebook app for that if that’s what I was looking for. Disappointing.

  • Out of control ads

    by Long Ashes

The ads on your app are out of control! I can’t get through a devotion without being bombarded by 2 or 3 ads. I understand you need to make money, but perhaps re-evaluating the frequency or when they pop up should be considered.

  • Sadly your site isn’t very good anymore

    by Rodip51

I used to love using your app/site for my daily devotions. However, I am tired of fighting all the ad screens that pop up and sometimes are hard to get rid of. If a site/ad is difficult to use, I must admit I’ll quit using it. Yours has reached that level. You took an inspirational site and commercialized way too much. Goodbye.
