This was such a great game. I’m finally seeing some of the pieces from the first five really come together in this one. It seemed somehow a little easier to me than the other ones, but it is perhaps the most interesting of them so far. So much is going on in the story with three floors to explore, some nicely intuitive puzzles to solve, and a few previous characters finally converging. I still don’t quite understand it all, but I’m starting to feel like I’m in the middle of something unpredictably sinister, which, in this case, is a good thing. Also, there are a couple of “icky” things you’re required to do, not to mention some rather gruesome sights that had me somewhere between giggling and gasping. These games are so well made that no matter what horribly bizarre thing is taking place, it just seems kind of natural after about the fifth game or so (is that demented?). Anyway, the thought of downloading the next one almost makes my pulse quicken a little, as I’m sure there’s more “Oh my gosh!” on the way.

The art, the graphics, the user interface, the intense puzzles and chilly atmosphere, you have it all! You have no idea how long it took me to find a game like this, and you have a whole array of these games, all of them interlinked to form a big cobweb of a narrative. I love it.

If I could rate more than 5 stars I would. I recommend this game to my friends, coworkers, even the students I teach(they're all high schoolers.) I have played every game by RustyLake both the free and paid games and they are all great. The suspense, the slight jump scares, the gore but not enough to make it generic, its not too easy yet where you finish in 15min but its also not hard to the point that you no longer want to play it has that feel that keeps you glued to your phone/tablet. I love these types of games and have never been as addicted before. Would love to see this get bigger in the future. Great job! Hopefully more games to come.

Not as hard as the other games from this game maker. Easy start. I think the "storyline" was not as good in this one as the others

The creepy storyline is just the beginning of this darker than dark telling of a family bloodline and it's ghastly secrets along the way. The graphics are well chosen, and they set the mood for the horror to unfold along the way. I felt the puzzles were exactly the right mix of challenge and intuition, and like a good novel, you feel satisfied yet somehow wanting more, when it finally ends. If there are sequels, you can bet I'll be downloading them. Well worth the $2.99 cost, and I rarely find games worth paying for. This is the exception. I hope to see more from the Rusty Lake team! Excellent, excellent job.

Totally bummed that cuss words were added :/ I play a lot of these on my own and with my 10 year old but I delete them if they use bad language. The game was very cool and really didn't need it. *** glad I hadn't played it with my son yet I didn't realize it was a horror game 12+!! I don't like horror either so I probably would have deleted it anyway.

Seemed like it was going to be a cool game. Got to the part where I finished the puzzle and was supposed to get the black cube, clicked the black cube and it just disappeared. Not in my inventory or anywhere.

Spooky (but after a few Rusty Lake games you come to expect that). Loved it!

I really love this series of escape games, especially since everything is connected. it's not easy, either, so it's a lot better than most of the usual escape games out there. however, although I do love the new hint system, I wish you could unlock better hints after you've solved the first one. some of the games get to a point where you just don't know what to do next and the same hint from an hour ago isn't going to help.

  • Super fun but short May 17, 2020

This game was sooo fun and barely any adds like 2 but the only thing I didn’t like was it was so short like I finished the game in like half an hour, it’s super fun to try to think like, “ what do I do now?” It was super fun but short thanks for the game tho
