  • Great game, more Arles... Jun 8, 2019

    By Czech-it-out!
I’m playing these in order, so this is my third game in the series, and it was an absolute winner. Amazingly, I got through it quicker than the first two, and without any hints, so maybe I’m getting more of a feel for the Rusty Lake. The puzzles were terrific and well thought-out, some of them being uniquely bizarre but horrifically engrossing. The painting was a nice “touch”, and the last puzzle was worth the “weight”. I really like the weirdness of the storyline, too. It makes me wonder what the heck I’m getting into next. Speaking of... I better go ahead and download the next one. It’ll certainly give me something to look forward (and maybe backward) to.🤪

It's good but I feel it's the shortest and the easiest of them all same elements no new puzzle and surprisingly no story , still good

Awesome game! I wish I could say it only took me minutes to complete the game but it took me over two hours! I’m an intermediate player but this game made me feel like a beginner several times. The puzzles are very well thought out and thinking outside the box is mandatory. The graphics are excellent and there were no glitches while playing. I didn’t even have any advertisements pop up while playing- and I had a free download game! Hints are available online but I’m too proud to cheat...what’s the fun in that? The developers put a lot of time and thought into this game!! Thank you so much! Going to see what else you have available.

Number 3 in the cube escape series. Very enjoyable, slightly longer than #2 - the lake, plus love the whole art thing and the last puzzle was magic. Great stuff!

Thank you for making them inventive, dark, addictive, and entertaining. When I start one, I can’t put it down until I finish. I’m glad you have the you tube walk throughs, though I try not to use them, you do get stuck sometimes. I prefer logic t o trial and error and most of the puzzles can be logic’d. Thank you, I can’t wait for another one. I wish you would do more after quests, like in roots, I really enjoyed going back for more!

Wow another very good game by you guys, I love this one! It was very enjoyable and the puzzles actually made a bit of sense, although the thing where you change the liquid inside the bottles to do something with the chopped off ear was kind of hard. But I got through it. Thank God there were no jumpscares/ creepy people that appear out of nowhere, I would have screamed. I hate jumpscares and unexpected things in games, haha. Thanks for this game, please continue making more! Thanks for this game

Although it doesn’t have “levels” like seasons did, it was in fact longer than the lake and it was more interactive which I especially enjoyed. The painting part was wonderful and the fact we could see and touch another person rather than a demon or a flash back was also a nice addition to the series. Good story as usual and I hope you continue to make great games.

A solid offering from Rusty Lake. The puzzles, as with all of these games, are just the right difficulty to keep you entertained without being too frustrating. I would rank this one a little below some of the other titles because it does not have the same control feel as the others and the story is not quite connected as some of the other titles are. Still a good game and worth playing.

Ugh these games just keep getting better! I found Samsara room first (which is great) and sent me down a rabbit hole with the Rusty Lake game series. I played two more out of order not realizing there were so many, and that they built on each other. I’ve now gone back and played them in order. The controls, clues, and interactivity continue to get better with each game. Super fun!

Not scary compared to the others but I still enjoyed it! My favourite part is when you have to paint the picture with the paint brush in the end, it was fun, I think it was the best part of the game for me. Thanks for creating this game!

  • Perhaps nobody will read this but... Sep 29, 2020

Am I the only one who sees it? I'm obsessed, like so many others, with the starry starry night painting. I've spent many moments contemplating what he was painting. What would make someone's vision translate this way? I was looking at the night sky one night, remembering universe conversations with my father who had recently passed, and my eyes filled with tears. It caused the starry night sky to look just as in the painting.

Dark/disturbing while requiring critical thinking/observation skills. It was so much damn FUN. This one required more decryption, with games within the game. My issue: To get to the other Cube escape stories/ games, you have to download a new app each time (8+ in total). It would be more convenient for each story/game to be a different level in one app.

I really enjoyed the game but I do think the ending could have been a bit better considering the other games done by the developers. Otherwise it's a great game :)
  • Decent yet short puzzler. Jun 29, 2015

    By Seiya_Senshi
Maybe I have way too much experience with this kind of puzzler, but I was able to solve it in a matter of minutes. Subtle clues were well placed, with minimal frustration points. The artwork is excellent. Some of the puzzles were a bit obvious, and one of what should have been the most complex solves is possible with brute force trial and error in short time. Overall, a good mental workout for what is available.

My first "Cube Escape" game. I enjoyed it & will be trying the others now. I like that you can get a hint by watching an ad. Give them a go; you might like them too!

I found this one more challenging than all the others, and a bit dull. I'm not exactly sure how Van Gogh fits in other than the painting in Case 23.
  • Another Hit! Jan 8, 2019

Rusty Lake did it again. This in depth puzzle/escape game will have you thinking! While the graphics or audio is not quite as polished as “Paradox,” (a later release in the Cube Escape series) this is still another great game by RL. A must play for any puzzle lover! Be patient.
  • Intriguing game spoiled by one puzzle (non-puzzle?) Jun 12, 2021

    By Poetry Rules!
Sorry to be the only 3 star review here, but…there was so much here to enjoy and, as always, you create your own very special atmosphere. Want to explain the logic of the necessary order of the water, wine, and absinthe moves? I had to watch your video, and I hate resorting to that. If you threw in an impossible random brute force puzzle, thumbs down. If it was clearly and fairly clued somewhere and I missed it, I’ll up my rating.

I paid £1:09 for premium and got ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, so I was conned out of my money as far as I can see. I emailed them but never got a response. So they obviously can't tell me what I paid for.....
