  • Great game, more Arles... Jun 8, 2019

    By Czech-it-out!
I’m playing these in order, so this is my third game in the series, and it was an absolute winner. Amazingly, I got through it quicker than the first two, and without any hints, so maybe I’m getting more of a feel for the Rusty Lake. The puzzles were terrific and well thought-out, some of them being uniquely bizarre but horrifically engrossing. The painting was a nice “touch”, and the last puzzle was worth the “weight”. I really like the weirdness of the storyline, too. It makes me wonder what the heck I’m getting into next. Speaking of... I better go ahead and download the next one. It’ll certainly give me something to look forward (and maybe backward) to.🤪

Loved this one, a little different from the other rusty lake cube games for being the artist, but still had the same vibe (and creeps) as the other ones. Usually when you come up on one of the puzzles to unlock something, you can figure out the pattern. One of the things I got stuck on was the sunflowers, I had to actually watch a video for that, because it seemed like no matter which way I tried to go with it, I always missed one. Really good game, though! Check out the others!

Awesome game! I wish I could say it only took me minutes to complete the game but it took me over two hours! I’m an intermediate player but this game made me feel like a beginner several times. The puzzles are very well thought out and thinking outside the box is mandatory. The graphics are excellent and there were no glitches while playing. I didn’t even have any advertisements pop up while playing- and I had a free download game! Hints are available online but I’m too proud to cheat...what’s the fun in that? The developers put a lot of time and thought into this game!! Thank you so much! Going to see what else you have available.

Beautifully made! I love this whole series and the storyline! I went back to play them in order. It's an might be a little shorter than the others, but I really enjoyed the van Gogh aspect.

Although it doesn’t have “levels” like seasons did, it was in fact longer than the lake and it was more interactive which I especially enjoyed. The painting part was wonderful and the fact we could see and touch another person rather than a demon or a flash back was also a nice addition to the series. Good story as usual and I hope you continue to make great games.

I love it and I figured some things out, the only strange thing I found is that my background is black, but the background on the walkthrough videos are gray/textured etc (u can literally tell it's a wall). Whenever I click up, there's only black.

The games from this developer are interesting. Strange, and dark, but challenging. A nice distraction. Play. Solve. Delete. Get a new one. Repeat. Cool.

  • Decent yet short puzzler. Jun 29, 2015

    By Seiya_Senshi
Maybe I have way too much experience with this kind of puzzler, but I was able to solve it in a matter of minutes. Subtle clues were well placed, with minimal frustration points. The artwork is excellent. Some of the puzzles were a bit obvious, and one of what should have been the most complex solves is possible with brute force trial and error in short time. Overall, a good mental workout for what is available.

I've played a lot of rusty lake games, and so far this one is the shortest, so I dropped a star. Shortness aside, this little bite sized addition to the rusty lake games is worth the playthrough. Very fun puzzles, per usual.

  • Another Hit! Jan 8, 2019

Rusty Lake did it again. This in depth puzzle/escape game will have you thinking! While the graphics or audio is not quite as polished as “Paradox,” (a later release in the Cube Escape series) this is still another great game by RL. A must play for any puzzle lover! Be patient.

I loved the game as it plays on the surreal aspect. Haven't come across any such game. I love the rusty lake plot although Arles in the series is different from the rest. Unfortunately, I got a bug so I couldn't complete the game. I got two knives ; one knife and one more instead of the revolver. It broke my heart. I kept thinking what to do with the knife until I searched the web and found out it is a bug.

I love rusty lake - I hate this one. The puzzles make no sense and I had to do a walkthrough for some of the puzzles because I had not idea what do no next.
