A big big that needs fixing Mar 12, 2019

I love this app. I have a Gemini mix2go pro, and the sound quality, mixing capacity, and general features are the best. There is one large bug that I can’t seem to get around. I use Facebook to log into my SoundCloud account, meaning I can’t log in with a email/password. Recently I tried to log in via Facebook, and I got the old “404 not found.” I was like, “ok, let me just restart cross dj, it’s probably just some problems with my phone! Just a small bug.” I still can’t fix this to this day. I wasn’t sure whether to bring this to you guys or SoundCloud. Hopefully this gets sorted out, because I have a party on Wednesday and I’m pretty sure I’m not gonna remember the names of each individual song of my 435 song playlist. Thanks! more

I really want to like this app, but it has some issues. For example cueing doesn't seem to be able to be set at any point I want it, often it's a fraction off. Sync seems off by a fraction most of the time, which is extremely annoying as it needs constant adjustments, it doesn't seem to beatmatch correctly, songs are randomly assigned photos from my photo album as covers making no sense whatsoever. more

This is an excellent app, whether you are just doing for fun or are running a serious business. I have a Gemini MIX2GO Pro and it integrates perfectly. I will say, though, if you intend to use on an iPad 2, you might want to consider a newer device. This app requires iOS 9 to run, and that makes an iPad 2 very slow. Because of this, the app will crash every so often and will sometimes lag, but I also have it on my iPhone 5s running iOS 12.4.9 and It works fine. So to sum up, this is an excellent app that I would recommend to anyone, but remember: if you have an iPad 2, think twice. (Also, it’s a great investment to get the Value Pack. Always cheap and totally worth it.) more

It's actually really cool and useful...once you really learn how to use it! But 1st - for anyone that has had the glitch with it not playing, and just letting out an annoyingly loud chirp - I don't know why it is, and think they'd fix it, but I found if you just plug headphones into you phone jack, then back out, 1 time, then it works from that point on just fine! more

I fell into this app by accident. I was looking for something that I could use to simulate myself djing a gig. Something to just mess around with. I must say the more I learned about the app and after getting the full load I’m actually able to put my phone on airplane mode and do actual gigs just using my iPhone. I only wish I could listen to cue up my mixes other than that it makes djing pretty easy Update of my review. Since this new update of the app I have been having an unusual amount of crashes while using the app. Don’t know what to do because it kills a party when it does it. We need a fix more

This is a very feature packed app. I love it. It has a lot of potential, however there are a few issues. Album art doesn't populate the decks properly for tracks in the automix list and spinning tracks from SoundCloud eventually leads to the app crashing. There is also a noticeable popping sound when adjusting the tempo with keylock enabled. If it weren't for these bugs I would give this app five stars. Hopefully the developers can sort this out soon. I have sent bug reports. more

So I’ve been using this app for a year, with my Mix2go, it’s pretty awesome, but for some reason now I have to login through a website for SoundCloud, I logged in, but for some reason it shows this thing of a premium membership, but I ignored it. When it showed me that I can safely go back, it redirected me to songs, basically iTunes songs, and nothing showed up, I can’t figure out how to get my songs and the premium membership still showed up. I tried logging out and logging in again, but it did not work. I see that you guys normally listen to reviews, so is it ok if u guys respond to this? I don’t get it, I’m I supposed to pay now to use the SoundCloud on the app?? more

An amazing app. Not only does it have hardware controller support, but you don't even need it. The app is extremely user friendly, and fully featured. I can sit on my phone and make professional mixes anywhere I want. I can stream to Bluetooth, or play audio through my car's sound system. This app is an absolute blast to play with. The only thing I wish it had was a bit more support hardware wise. You can run it with Pioneer ddj 200, but I'd love to be able to use a dj2go2 touch. It's amazing. more

After doing a bit of research, i chose cross dj as my back up system, just in case my macbook pro running tracktor went down. So far it's been easy to use with an intuitive layout and functionality. Like other reviews, while practicing, i have heard some crackling in the audio, so that's worrisome. Also know that you'll need another app to transfer files from your mac to android. I went with Macdroid...$21 a year sucks but it works. more

I got this because it looked like it was clean and simple and so far it has been, it has just enough to keep me Interested without too many bells and whistles to make it confusing the only question I have is how can I connect this to an external device like Sonos.... I really bought it to do some DJing at a bar instead of showing up with a whole shooting match of stuff that I just bring my iPad. iTunes allows me to cast right away how can I connect to some thing wirelessly with this. Is it even an option, I just can’t find it? more

Been a user in the past 3 years. It's a fine app when it works, can really be fun little dj tool to play in flights or small parties but recent versions are deteriorating - sound quality is really low in the post three versions, and despite going from a Note 4 to S8 to S9 to S10, performance wise the app peaked on the S8 and since than it's laggy and slow. Would love it to work like it should, it's a great tool, please make it work well. more

This app is great for just getting down simple transitions and the feel of what a real deck feels like and works pretty well. But when connecting to sound cloud go about 1 out every 10 songs I try to play it will only play 1/4 or so of the song the cut off. And now whenever I try to play those songs it still cuts off at the same early point . I’ve tried deleting and redownloading but it keeps happening and oddly enough the same songs. I hope they can find a way to fix it cuz it always happens to be a new song I’ve been waiting to play and then I can’t even use the song . UPDATE now can no longer load or play any song from soundcloud more

I was expecting a Cross 4 look and feel. It come no where close to a pro app! Even Traktor has beaten you to the punch. Djay 2 is worlds beyond this app. Where is Cross 4 for iOS? This a toy app ... considering the new iPad Pros are as fast or faster than most MacBook Pros this app is lacking in design and functionality and it’s not due to CPU or GPU horsepower. DJ Streaming and ultra portable (re:iPad or iPhone)DJing in here but this app is last generation so 2012! Let’s hope that Mixvibes sees this and realizes that they are missing an opportunity to be in the forefront as they have lost on the Mac/PC platform to Serato/Traktor/Rekordbox. Oh and get a real streaming service built in Spotify/Beatport/Tidal ....SoundCloud doesn’t cut it! Have a nice day! Contact me if you want a beta tester! more

You can't access other user's SoundCloud playlists. So if you found a playlist that you like, the only way to use it in this app would be to save the tracks ONE BY ONE to your own SoundCloud playlist. That's insane. Viewing other user's playlists is a core feature of SoundCloud and it seems like the Cross DJ developers left the feature out for no reason. :( more

Software is old. Last updated in 2020!!... Support was contacted multiple times. Automix is a GREAT, with 16-beat matching it's AMAZING! But random software issues make me crazy. Reinstalling software sometimes helps. Specifically, regardless of settings, during automix, on Galaxy S10e, it glitches at the exact moment when the next song is loaded onto the upcoming (non-playing deck). Then everyone looks at you and you have to make a joke about beta quality software glitches. Classy. more

People don't waste your money like I did. Every time you load a song the one that's currently playing stops completely then continues playing. When you try to view the songs you loaded on auto play the app crashes every time and you have to open it again. At first I thought my phone was the problem then I red some of the reviews and saw other users have similar issues. I tried tec support three times with no respince. This app is a total waste of time and money. I tried another app and it works. more

The app used to work fine. I could log into my soundcloud account, play my music, and it was fine. Now, I can’t even do that. When I hit the button, it just displays an ad for SoundCloud go+. There’s no way to play any tracks or even log in because the ridiculous ad is in the way. This completely negates the functionality of the app. Go back to the way it was or at least fix what’s left. This bug appears to be really old, so there’s no excuse to not fix it. more

I don't normally leave any comments on these type of platforms but this issue is so frustrating, I feel compelled to speak out. What could be a good app is 100% spoilt by a massive bug that still hasn't been fixed after more than 12 months, making this DJ app unusable with Android 11. The track your playing have a complete cut in sound whilst loading the next track is unacceptable. I don't know how the developers can sleep at night after having abandoned their customers with no fix in sight. more

Used to love this app but the analyse feature is buggy. After analysing all my songs and loading one into a mix I will go to other deck and only half the songs are analysed meaning I will have to keep analysing the same songs every time I want to add another song into the mix. This is very annoying and stops you from being able to get a good mix going if you don't have a set ready more

One, I wanted a refund for all the add-one I bought and they won’t give it to me so I don’t recommend it because I’m basically stuck with this app now Second, I wanna record mixes I do with some songs I have but it won’t let me record them which why even bother buying the record option if it’s not even useable Third, I would like this more if the sync was better because it only syncs at the first beat instead of the other for because I would want to mash songs together but I need them to sync on the right beat but I can’t Four, I would like to be able to control the tempo of the sounds and samples provided because it’s hard trying to find a song with how the samples loop So I really don’t recommend this app, the only reason why I got this is cause Edjing had to have a subscription. more

This software is by far hands down, the best mobile mixing / DJ app that you can find out there. However I am curious why there is no option for HIGH QUALITY or HQ recording, as the high quality option here maxes out at 256kps lossy compression. If you plan on creating a mix on the fly and only have your phone to do it on, you want your complication mix to be at the highest possible quality setting like LEGECY OR LOSSLESS. I am concerned and have always been as to why it's not this way here??? more

Very fully featured for an android app I was not expecting such smooth transitioning. Need to do some testing to see what options allow recording but at a push it's a great substitute for anyone who doesn't have. The hardware. My phone is four years old and can still keep up with this app. Mashups are a little too easy with this app. And it's soon cheap too. more

Would like to see more controllers or at least current version like ddj-sb is supported but not sb2? Works great w iPad mini 2 and mixtrack pro I. I use camera kit 3 that has built in power port. Charges iPad at the same time. App has been very reliable I load music onto iPad with iTunes before set and then put iPad in airplane mode during set. I wanted to update that I have done several gigs now with this setup and no problems at all. more

Great app. Does a fantastic job on my tablet. I also HIGHLY recommend the developer, due to their amazing customer service. I mistakenly purchased a feature pack for the free version of this app, before I was aware of the pro version. Google were unable to refund, however, when I contacted Mixvibes, they were prompt in responding, incredibly helpful, and sorted the cancellation of the purchase so I was able to purchase the pro version Exceeded my expectations by far more

I actually downloaded this for fun. And it wasn't until a while had passed that l realised that this app is performing very well. And it is free. Would I use it on my show? Not as a first choice. Would it get me out of a mess to finish a show? You bet! Post covid I may be using this. I can't speak for other apps but this one works great. If you're a mixer and a scratcher you may have issues. But I am an open close live DJ and this shows no reason why it wouldn't work. more

Edit:Everything I say doesn’t matter because they have it so you pay to use sound cloud it’s probably SoundCloud’s fault so I’m keeping it 4 stars but You can’t loop more than 32 which is small, you have to double tap if and search twice to get the right results but it’s not a big deal if you know it, the most annoying thing is the music turns down to like the level if you were getting a text or something but it stays there even though I turn everything up it will be quiet as hell and then I have to restart the app, also the app will freeze sometimes and everything looks like it’s working but nothing happens then you have to restart the app again Other than this good app and good thing it doesn’t charge to use SoundCloud Edit: ^^^^^ironic that I typed that a long time ago lol now it’s pay to use more

I love it, bit there are just a lot of things that bug the hell out of me that needs fixing and adding. Biggest advantage is having the option to mono split, and use an external mixer. -beat jump. As a professional dj, i use this religiously to skip ahead in tracks, and I use this with quantize to make it seamless. -Tighten up the software experience. Focus on making the analysing, hot cue, and other features faster and more reliable. I've never waited so long for analysis. more

So I baught the Gemini Mix 2 Go Pro. It was pretty gud. I mix dubstep pretty gud wif this app. It is gud. It is fun. Thank you for making this. It is gud. The only problem is that it takes a long tine to seach for tracks to use. That is not gud. I know this will be hard to improve. but I hope you can make it somewhat better and more quiker in finding songs in soundcloud. maybe songs you hav used before can be seen in history as way to avoid searching during one of my performances. I do not know how Icloud works, since this is my first apple device and I dont really want to buy it wen I hav other alternatives thank you once again there is still a lot to be improved. keep working on it, to seperate you DJ app apart from others. That would be gud. This player is nicely setup with a logical workflow. The Keylock function has a bug so the first time I set it it does not work so I have to go back to another screen press the keylock function to make it work. An annoyance that I hope is fixed in later versions. More worrying is my mp3 files are being corrupted sounding one or two-second loops although to be fair this may not be the fault of Cross DJ. It is the only player I use (mostly). So it is good and maybe will be better. more

I really want to like this app, but it has some issues. For example cueing doesn't seem to be able to be set at any point I want it, often it's a fraction off. Sync seems off by a fraction most of the time, which is extremely annoying as it needs constant adjustments, it doesn't seem to beatmatch correctly, songs are randomly assigned photos from my photo album as covers making no sense whatsoever. more

I’ve used mix vibes from the get go. It’s a good app for mixing on mobile devices. But man basic, rudimentary functions like RECORD? If you can’t record a set of wav or mp files...well unbelievably retarded in the worst way. I like this app and the sound of it. It works well but because of zero recording options I’m completely over it. I’ve been using DJDJ and it# the business for sure. Please developers make this happen. Put it in a Audiobus slot make it link compatible. Do something so this app can continue to grow. What’s seriously up with you people. Trippy weird developers with really strange reasoning. I got this app awhile back and I messed around with this app with music from SoundCloud but today I decided to use it until it said I needed SoundCloud Go+. I tried getting in with regular SoundCloud except I read SoundCloud Go+ allows users to access music from their library. Is that just it? We’re supposed to get Go+ plus now to access music from there? If yes then why do we need Go+ now this time? What would be the reason to add it all of a sudden. If that isn’t the case then something is wrong. more

It’s cool because I could play my SoundCloud music and all that but what I hate is that when I use it for a very long time it doesn’t want to show my music anymore and I have to log out and sign in again and again. I have a ddj sb2 and I wanted to connect it to my phone and bought the external audio connection to react with the ddj sb2 and the buttons to the phone to set it to mixer doesn’t even show up and that made me a little more angrier I would be a lot happy if they updated AGAIN more

I went and did a free trial of SoundCloud go just to try out this app and I log into SoundCloud through Apple. Once I set up the account it said go back to dj app and click that and it gives me the same 404 not found message and when I go back to the app and click SoundCloud tab it still says try the 30 day trial more

The app isn’t letting users search any songs. It was working for the month that I have been using it. Then all of a sudden, when I was trying to find a song it didn’t load. I deleted the app twice and downloaded it again and it still hasn’t worked. One of my friends is also experiencing the same issues. more

When I open a track off SoundCloud (whether mp3 or wav) it says “track error - format is unknown” and then when I click ok it says “streaming error no audio data please check your network connection or maybe the audio file is invalid” but these tracks play fine in SoundCloud, and they used to work I cross do too. more

Every time I pick a track on soundcloud the whole app just crashes after a few seconds of listening. I’ve never had this problem till this week. I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled it and it still has the same issue

This app is great if you have all of your music on your iTunes. But if your relying on mixing from your soundcloud playlists don’t expect all the songs to be available. I have 145 songs on a particular playlist and about 45 song were only available. more

This app was definitely the best iPhone dj app, so far! Recently there is a problem with loading tracks from SoundCloud, and this issue alone will lower the rate to 3 stars. I bought this app just because I could easily perform from my SoundCloud playlists... and now I can't do that anymore and I'm disappointed. more

Been a user in the past 3 years. It's a fine app when it works, can really be fun little dj tool to play in flights or small parties but recent versions are deteriorating - sound quality is really low in the post three versions, and despite going from a Note 4 to S8 to S9 to S10, performance wise the app peaked on the S8 and since than it's laggy and slow. Would love it to work like it should, it's a great tool, please make it work well. more

This app is great for just getting down simple transitions and the feel of what a real deck feels like and works pretty well. But when connecting to sound cloud go about 1 out every 10 songs I try to play it will only play 1/4 or so of the song the cut off. And now whenever I try to play those songs it still cuts off at the same early point . I’ve tried deleting and redownloading but it keeps happening and oddly enough the same songs. I hope they can find a way to fix it cuz it always happens to be a new song I’ve been waiting to play and then I can’t even use the song . UPDATE now can no longer load or play any song from soundcloud more

I was expecting a Cross 4 look and feel. It come no where close to a pro app! Even Traktor has beaten you to the punch. Djay 2 is worlds beyond this app. Where is Cross 4 for iOS? This a toy app ... considering the new iPad Pros are as fast or faster than most MacBook Pros this app is lacking in design and functionality and it’s not due to CPU or GPU horsepower. DJ Streaming and ultra portable (re:iPad or iPhone)DJing in here but this app is last generation so 2012! Let’s hope that Mixvibes sees this and realizes that they are missing an opportunity to be in the forefront as they have lost on the Mac/PC platform to Serato/Traktor/Rekordbox. Oh and get a real streaming service built in Spotify/Beatport/Tidal ....SoundCloud doesn’t cut it! Have a nice day! Contact me if you want a beta tester! more

The app used to work fine. I could log into my soundcloud account, play my music, and it was fine. Now, I can’t even do that. When I hit the button, it just displays an ad for SoundCloud go+. There’s no way to play any tracks or even log in because the ridiculous ad is in the way. This completely negates the functionality of the app. Go back to the way it was or at least fix what’s left. This bug appears to be really old, so there’s no excuse to not fix it. more

Used to love this app but the analyse feature is buggy. After analysing all my songs and loading one into a mix I will go to other deck and only half the songs are analysed meaning I will have to keep analysing the same songs every time I want to add another song into the mix. This is very annoying and stops you from being able to get a good mix going if you don't have a set ready more

One, I wanted a refund for all the add-one I bought and they won’t give it to me so I don’t recommend it because I’m basically stuck with this app now Second, I wanna record mixes I do with some songs I have but it won’t let me record them which why even bother buying the record option if it’s not even useable Third, I would like this more if the sync was better because it only syncs at the first beat instead of the other for because I would want to mash songs together but I need them to sync on the right beat but I can’t Four, I would like to be able to control the tempo of the sounds and samples provided because it’s hard trying to find a song with how the samples loop So I really don’t recommend this app, the only reason why I got this is cause Edjing had to have a subscription. more

my favorite dj app for mobile but still after years they haven't fixed the seamless loops, when you loop something the track stops a bit at the end of the loop. Also its a shame its not free anymore, and perhaps after all these years you guys should update the app, it hasn't changed much in years and if were going to pay for SoundCloud GO then please make the app worth it. more

This app is recommended for my Gemini Mix 2 Go and at first the app was great...however this app only works w/ SoundCloud our of all of the DSP’s and now the app won’t even play the songs that I have streaming on SoundCloud!! I’m very disappointed because I think this is the only mixing app I can use with my Gemini Mix 2 Go and it won’t play any of my SoundCloud music. I’m not happy more

You can't access other user's SoundCloud playlists. So if you found a playlist that you like, the only way to use it in this app would be to save the tracks ONE BY ONE to your own SoundCloud playlist. That's insane. Viewing other user's playlists is a core feature of SoundCloud and it seems like the Cross DJ developers left the feature out for no reason. :( more

Software is old. Last updated in 2020!!... Support was contacted multiple times. Automix is a GREAT, with 16-beat matching it's AMAZING! But random software issues make me crazy. Reinstalling software sometimes helps. Specifically, regardless of settings, during automix, on Galaxy S10e, it glitches at the exact moment when the next song is loaded onto the upcoming (non-playing deck). Then everyone looks at you and you have to make a joke about beta quality software glitches. Classy. more

People don't waste your money like I did. Every time you load a song the one that's currently playing stops completely then continues playing. When you try to view the songs you loaded on auto play the app crashes every time and you have to open it again. At first I thought my phone was the problem then I red some of the reviews and saw other users have similar issues. I tried tec support three times with no respince. This app is a total waste of time and money. I tried another app and it works. more

I don't normally leave any comments on these type of platforms but this issue is so frustrating, I feel compelled to speak out. What could be a good app is 100% spoilt by a massive bug that still hasn't been fixed after more than 12 months, making this DJ app unusable with Android 11. The track your playing have a complete cut in sound whilst loading the next track is unacceptable. I don't know how the developers can sleep at night after having abandoned their customers with no fix in sight. more

It’s a real shame that I have to pay to use SoundCloud go monthly, I’ve had this app for who knows how long without any problems. But this is irking me. I understand that the company isn’t exactly affiliated with SoundCloud but I believe that the least you could negotiate with is having users require a SoundCloud login every time the app opens, just not being forced to pay for Go. Please have this app run the way it was prior to the SoundCloud Go update so the audience can be comfortable again. more

When I had gotten the app I didn’t know what to expect out of it it was fun at first but then the app didn’t give me any samples anymore I tried to refresh it but that didn’t work I tried different WiFi and even looked in the settings to see if I touched anything and if it messed up the app and I was so disappointed I do NOT recommend this app if you like music(any kind doesn’t matter to me)I hope you fix it. more

I can’t believe you guys just made it to where you must have SoundCloud Go+ to even use the app. Huge mistake. I loved this app so much but now I can’t even use it.
