Perfect
Jun 15, 2019 I don’t understand why a lot of the featured reviews are one star from omnis talking about why they hate veganism. that’s so awkward, i wish we could report reviews on the app store. anyways, i got this app when i first went vegan and i like that i don’t need to keep track of how long it’s been, i can periodically check in and see what i’ve saved. i also like that it tells you your veganniversary! i like simplicity and this app is perfect, no annoying bells and whistles or useless features, just does what it’s designed to do. 10/10, visually appealing and a good motivatormore -
Love it
Mar 23, 2020 It feels good to be able to see how many resources and animals you’re saving. Even though I’m aware of how many animals die each year it still shocked me to see how fast that counter is shooting up for many of the animals. So sad, but something I think needs to be seen. It’s a shame that so many people are bad mouthing this app. I mean, why even bother? If you have nothing nice to say then don’t say anything at all. It’s not worth it and completely unproductive. There’s some strong ignorance and cognitive dissonance going on.more -
Feb 18, 2020 Neat app i like how it keeps track of your progress helping the planet -
Convenient!
Nov 17, 2020 It’s great to have this info handy. I used to plug my numbers into the “vegan calculator” now and again but it’s powerful to see it every day. Thanks for putting it together! And also for making it free - that was mighty nice of ya. Vegan for the animals, for life ❤️ One recommendation to the developer: iOS 14 introduced widgets and a widget with this information would be great, that way you can see it right on your Home Screen. Thanks for your consideration.more -
Motivating!
Sep 28, 2020 This is just what I was looking for to keep up my motivation. I’ve been slowly transitioning to a vegan lifestyle, and this is the first day I said yep - I’m going to track it and stick to it, and see if I can really cement this into my day to day life. These numbers really put all the other work I do in my life to help reduce my environmental impact into perspective! Thank you so much for your hard work.more

Honestly just upset with the responses
Aug 5, 2020 I was vegan for a long time, and still mostly eat vegan, and keep a vegan food household... I'm still working on the other stuff in my household for having a totally vegan household. Long story short, I was excited about this app, but when I started reading reviews it just made me mad the responses. There is ways to encourage people to the vegan lifestyle, and ways to discourage them. And I've been in customer service from age 7-22. You have to use customer service if you wanna sell anything. That they are not. They seem to care more about being right then creating a change. You lose people when you talk down to them. That's the reason I deleted the app and won't use it and won't suggest it.more -
Figures don’t lie, but liars figure.
Nov 8, 2019 Response to devs response: The numbers were so crazy that your silly app provides that I did google the topic. There is no shortage of information that disputes the bogus data your app provides. You obviously don’t care about confirming that the “Cowculator” provides accurate data. If you wish to look into it you will see this data doesn’t hold up to scrutiny. If you believe these numbers... buy the app and pretend away. Last response to developer... did you ever try and get funded for research that goes against the liberal line of thinking? I know people who have... they won’t give money. That’s the reason there is so much “climate change” related research. The government won’t fund research that goes against the agenda. Did you see the recent letter signed by 500 climatologists. No shortage of scientists who rip apart the false studies the government funds. Believe what you want. Makes no difference to me. I bet I enjoy my meals a lot more than the average vegan.more -
Here’s the Problem
Mar 4, 2018 There’s nothing wrong with the vegan lifestyle if that’s something that you choose for yourself. The problem with this app though is attempting to make the argument that by going vegan you’re saving the planet. According to all of “climate change experts” carbon dioxide gas and methane gas are the two main culprits of climate change. By going vegan more cows (and to other animals) will be left alive on this planet thus increasing carbon dioxide and methane emissions, not to mention the fact that more plants will wind up being consumed so less CO2 will be able to be converted into oxygen. Go vegan if you really want to, just don’t try to convince me that by doing so you’re saving the planet.more -
just propaganda
Nov 7, 2019 I’m not vegan and never will be, but I plugged in a date of Jan. 1, 2019, about 10 months ago as I write this. The app says if I had gone vegan on that date I would have saved the lives of 299 animals. That’s about one a day. Even if I ate meat every day I obviously wouldn’t be eating an entire animal each day, so that’s nonsense. This app is just an attempt to push a vegan lifestyle. The developers have a right to do that, but before you download be aware that’s their intent and don’t take it seriously. Update: Wow. I received a really snarky and nonsensical response from the developer. I’m glad I deleted the app.more -
Pointless and inaccurate
Feb 3, 2019 Just because one person doesn’t eat them doesn’t mean someone else will. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate it when people go vegan because of the law of supply and demand. Each vegan conversion means I can keep a little more of my hard earned money. I’ll use that money to buy an extra burger though so...hmmm. Well maybe it breaks even with me eating your burgers. Dang, I knew someone was going to eat the burgers your aren’t. Turns out, it’s me. Thanks for the extra burger at a cheaper price.more

Amazing app!
Mar 11, 2019 I love this app! It gives you a clear, concise view into your impact on the environment. ignore the biddies complaining that the app is “rude” or something. activism isn’t friendly! the only reason i’m rating it four stars instead of five is a silly bug i noticed - it asks you to rate CONSTANTLY. every time i close a tab it asks me to rate. fix that and it’s a five star app all the way.more -
Great app, but...
Mar 27, 2020 I love seeing the stats/positive impacts as the days add up - but there is no way to take a screenshot of all the stats at once to share on facebook, text, etc. It seems like a previous version of this app made that possible, but now the summary requires scrolling. I want to be able to share my stats!more

Pretentious
Dec 9, 2019 Yeah, I didn’t have time to eat for one day and just wanted to see how a vegan feels. But understand why they feel high and mighty; “I saved an animal’s life today!” No you didn’t, Sandra..the slaughter houses are operating just fine without you and you’re missing out on good cuts of meat.more

What’s Groovy
This is a very good app for those days when you doubt what impact you're having, or just want to show others what impact you have made by going vegan. Some parts are a little obtuse - like I was having a hard time understand what "saving grain" really means. And I have to click the cowspiracy link and search the web page for "Grain" to finally understand what impact that really can have. Right now when you click on a section it shows other numbers to help visualize the impact (like 42,839 lbs of grain is 182 Arnold Swarzeneggers) but it would help if each section also had it's own expanded information with quotes and sources rather than one overwhelming page at the end with everything.

What’s Subpar
It's cool, and great info, but please provide an easier way to enter veganniversary. Scrolling back through months and months to get to 10 years ago is annoying. Thank you!
