Nice overall, but buggy for me.
Dec 10, 2019 By icefelisI love clip paint! I have it on my computer and to have it on my phone is a blessing. I adore the cloud syncing. Since I can’t draw well with my finger, it’s really nice to have the ability to line something on my computer and have it transfer straight to my phone for coloring on the go. My only big issue for me is that I can’t seem to use most of the brushes? I’m not sure why. Everything else runs fine but I can use about 1 brush per category, the rest don’t even try to function. That being said, everything else is smooth, and since this is a new app, I’m sure it will be fixed. As a user for 3+ years, I suggest clip paint highly in general!more -
Feb 18, 2021 By Ashley JenkinsJust downloaded the app today after seeing lots of ads for it. Seemed cool at first. But the app probably expects new users to already know everything about the app. The tutorials are ok but I cannot figure out how to add 3d models, which was one of the things that was catching my attention on the ad. I still cannot figure out how to. Maybe I didn't pay enough attention to the things at the start of the app. If the app owner sees this please can you tell me how to add 3d models (like characters)more -
Feb 14, 2021 By Hali BugI just downloaded Clip Studio today, I think that maybe if I gave it more time the app will grow on me. Since I have been getting ads for it for quite a while. However after downloading the app as a new user, it is very overwhelming. I do like that it has more freedom with it, than the other paint app I've been using. But it's not very welcoming to new users. It's as if I have to already be a professional to understand the app, and the tutorials it provide aren't too helpful either.more -
Pleasantly surprised
Dec 23, 2019 By John the artistI never expected to be able to work on a full-size image properly on an iPhone, but that’s exactly what I got! I can open, edit, and save every file I can on my iPad, and it works great. I paired my iPhone with a Wacom Bamboo Sketch Bluetooth pen, and after figuring out I didn’t need to actually pair it with the phone, got pressure sensitivity working in the app and it works great. I can now start sketches and concept paintings from my phone, or refine them as I find mistakes. Again, I didn’t think I would need (or get) that from a phone version of the app, but here we are.more -
Feb 8, 2021 By KatelynI love CSP, it is a great program and has everything you need. But I hate how on mobile devices there's only subscription options, no one-time payments. I know this is giving more money to CSP, and it makes sense, but if it's already on laptops and PCs I'd love for mobile to have the one-time payment option too. It honestly sucks.more

Feb 15, 2021 By Brandy JohnsonEverything was working fine until I purchased which ever version is for comics. I was able to use any of the brushes and they would stabilize and would have tampered ends depending on the pressure of the pen strokes. The strokes are all the same size and are rounded. I can not change it in the settings to taper the end and no matter how much I adjust the pen pressure settings and the tilt setting its is still the same. It looks like I am using the windows draw software from elementary school.more -
Seriously?!?
Dec 7, 2019 By Island LifeI can’t believe iPhone users get the app for free for an hour a day while iPad users are forced into a subscription no matter what 😨 I’d be happy to pay a reasonable ONE-TIME fee on iPad to have this software like I do on my computer. Whoever is putting together the pricing schemes for Clip Studio Paint seems determined to ensure I don’t buy the iPad app. I would pay between $20 and $50 not to deal with an ongoing subscription. Wake up!!! The iPhone is the WORST way to experience this software and the whole thing should be free on this device. Make more money by selling the program outright on iPad. As it is, Procreate is the best value and quality in this space.more -
It’s clip studio on an unusable sized screen
Dec 5, 2019 By jdigi411I don’t know who is making decisions for this company but this doesn’t make sense to me. Why make another port to something nobody is going to actually use full featured software on. Why would I pay a monthly free to draw on my phone? Here’s an idea, maybe invest your time on the iPad version? Something people are trying to use as a work tool. Also the transformation lag you refuse to acknowledge is also in this version. Please spend your time optimizing current software platforms before trying to expand. This is not good.more -
Feb 4, 2021 By OctomaidPersonally as somebody who would love to write comics and manga is on this app it seems quite hard to do so considering that it keeps lagging for me it seems pretty good for other people so I supposed it would be fun but when I tried it I was immediately overwhelmed with how many things I had to do before I could even start drawing it's quite a process to go through and I do think it sucks that you have to pay for stuff but overall if you are using this to make manga its not very good.more -
Pretty confusing and not exactly as professional as it seems
Jan 11, 2020 By *gay panic*When I got this app I thought that it would be like the computer app I have a Mac meaning I would only get 30 days free. The iPhone though, would have all days free, at least that’s what the website said. I only had sixty minutes as a time limit and the app didn’t show me how to use the brushes because I was trying to draw using the pencil and not the curve but nothing came out whenever I tried to draw. This app is worse than my parents reaction to me being gay.more

I tried to make an account it doesn’t work . I really want an option for a 18 hour option.more

Apr 4, 2020 By i'll check or a wreckerI really like this app, but I would really like it if there was no 15 hour timer. I was doing a collab with someone and I was going to save the finished piece and we aren’t allowed to save???? I find that dumb because what if you phone shuts off while doing art, and you go back to that drawing and it doesn’t save??? The same feature is better if it didn’t need a subscription just to save a drawing to your library, it would be better if the 15 hour timer was at 15 minutes because I don’t want to wait 15 hours just to go back in there.more

Subscription will make me switch
Jul 9, 2020 By Quisp67There is no reason to have a flat fee for the MAC/Windows version and a subscription fee for the iPad version. This alone chased me away. Very sad as ClipStudio is fantastic. However, when I think of how I would be paying over 4-5 years, it just doesn’t make sense. I recommend MediBang for those who agree about the subscription issue. MediBang is almost as good and hopefully some updates it will be right there with ClipStudio. For now, so long! You’ve lost another potential customer because of the subscription.more -
Feb 17, 2021 By Briana StonesiferI gave this a low score because it didn't mention you had to pay for it. Yes, I understand that some apps require payment, but it would have been nice to know before I had downloaded it and got all excited about it, just to be disappointed. I gave it a two because it wouldn't be fair of me to rate an app I didn't get the chance to use.more

Dec 23, 2020 By gay satanI decided to download it, because I saw an intruiging ad, and I opened it up, went to launch it, and it said I only get an hour of free usage every day. This is ridiculous. I already have a fantastic app (Ibis Paint X) that is completely free, and very useful, so when I saw this, I thought it was obsurd. I am very disappointed. The ad did not mention the need to pay. Very dissatisfied.more -
Dec 24, 2020 By T LI thought it would be faster if i worked on my phone and not on my computer but its not, i dont like that we have one hour to draw everyday if we dont want to pay, the buttons are really confusing and the select tool is really laggy (as it is on computer). I was hoping to have a good experience but im sad to say i dont, the app didnt even let me sign in, it kept asking me to pay.more -
You’re Not Adobe
Aug 13, 2020 By AquariusBatSo please stop? There shouldn’t need to be a greedy subscription model for an APP on a mobile device. Considering your other products are a one time payment between $50-$250+ I really can’t comprehend why you guys are so greedy....just make the app (for a mobile device....) a one time payment as well. Why should mobile users have to keep shilling out for an APP while others just paid ONCE and that’s it. It’s just plain greed.more

By Laura Daviesgreat app but it would be nice if the one-time payment was available because in a year you pay around £42 (£3 per month for Pro), but that's roughly the same amount as the one-time payment (£49) so you're paying the price of a one-time payment each year :((more less

It’s hard
By someone took my name ughIt’s pretty hard to use, pretty slow to, I like how mine turned out (very sketch like) but not everyone likes that and also a tutorial would be nice (I can’t remember if you had one) but it would be cool if you had where the pens and stuff were a little easier to get, it’s a lot of work (considering some people have commissions) to have to tap a bunch of things to get to it. Overall it’s a sorta okay app 5/10more less -

By Jocelyn LimIt's a pretty decent drawing app. Offers great canvas sizes, has a good amount of cool pens, has pretty much every tool (fill bucket, lasso, magic wand, eyedropper, etc.) it's a little tricky when you first start but it's quite good if you can get the hang of it! The one hour limit is a little annoying but it's a free app so I think it's quite alright. It's not as bad as most reviews say (imo) but it isn't as amazing as expected considering the pc version.more less

But it's not very welcoming to new users. It's as if I have to already be a professional to understand the app, and the tutorials it provide aren't too helpful either.more less

By KatelynI love CSP, it is a great program and has everything you need. But I hate how on mobile devices there's only subscription options, no one-time payments. I know this is giving more money to CSP, and it makes sense, but if it's already on laptops and PCs I'd love for mobile to have the one-time payment option too. It honestly sucks.more less

I love the app but...
By i'll check or a wreckerI really like this app, but I would really like it if there was no 15 hour timer. I was doing a collab with someone and I was going to save the finished piece and we aren’t allowed to save???? I find that dumb because what if you phone shuts off while doing art, and you go back to that drawing and it doesn’t save??? The same feature is better if it didn’t need a subscription just to save a drawing to your library, it would be better if the 15 hour timer was at 15 minutes because I don’t want to wait 15 hours just to go back in there.more less -
By Laura Daviesgreat app but it would be nice if the one-time payment was available because in a year you pay around £42 (£3 per month for Pro), but that's roughly the same amount as the one-time payment (£49) so you're paying the price of a one-time payment each year :((more less

Good app but there are some problems
By da wae? It’s a good app to learn how to draw on but can I draw for more than an hour a day on this app. A drawing app shouldn’t need triel. Like we could wach an add to get some stuff for the day. One of the reasons why I don’t want to pay for a triel is becase my parents don’t like wasting money on stuff like this. I hope you take this review well and don’t mind my spelling errorsmore less -
Great in all but
By Alex Paul WilsonI have it on my phone and I already paid a monthly plan for it and downloaded it to my computer, well whenever I save a file it says I have to register a license and I already have. So I wanted to started a free trial and I can’t find the email the serial number is sent in. Doesn’t make sensemore less

By Brandy JohnsonEverything was working fine until I purchased which ever version is for comics. It looks like I am using the windows draw software from elementary school.more less

Seriously?!?
By Island LifeI can’t believe iPhone users get the app for free for an hour a day while iPad users are forced into a subscription no matter what 😨 I’d be happy to pay a reasonable ONE-TIME fee on iPad to have this software like I do on my computer. As it is, Procreate is the best value and quality in this space.more less -
It’s clip studio on an unusable sized screen
By jdigi411I don’t know who is making decisions for this company but this doesn’t make sense to me. This is not good.more less -
By OctomaidPersonally as somebody who would love to write comics and manga is on this app it seems quite hard to do so considering that it keeps lagging for me it seems pretty good for other people so I supposed it would be fun but when I tried it I was immediately overwhelmed with how many things I had to do before I could even start drawing it's quite a process to go through and I do think it sucks that you have to pay for stuff but overall if you are using this to make manga its not very good.more less

Pretty confusing and not exactly as professional as it seems
By *gay panic*When I got this app I thought that it would be like the computer app I have a Mac meaning I would only get 30 days free. The iPhone though, would have all days free, at least that’s what the website said. I only had sixty minutes as a time limit and the app didn’t show me how to use the brushes because I was trying to draw using the pencil and not the curve but nothing came out whenever I tried to draw. This app is worse than my parents reaction to me being gay.more less -
Subscription will make me switch
By Quisp67There is no reason to have a flat fee for the MAC/Windows version and a subscription fee for the iPad version. You’ve lost another potential customer because of the subscription.more less -
By gay satanI decided to download it, because I saw an intruiging ad, and I opened it up, went to launch it, and it said I only get an hour of free usage every day. This is ridiculous. I already have a fantastic app (Ibis Paint X) that is completely free, and very useful, so when I saw this, I thought it was obsurd. I am very disappointed. The ad did not mention the need to pay. Very dissatisfied.more less

By Briana StonesiferI gave this a low score because it didn't mention you had to pay for it. Yes, I understand that some apps require payment, but it would have been nice to know before I had downloaded it and got all excited about it, just to be disappointed. I gave it a two because it wouldn't be fair of me to rate an app I didn't get the chance to use.more less

By Minecraft is my life!!!!I’m not gonna say this is horrible but is it laggy and doesn’t help make your lines smooth like other drawing apps I got this to test it out but I didn’t like it with the fact that you have limited time unless you pay there are many free apps that I would use over this such as Ibis Paint witch is very similar to procreate but the only downfall is it has ads however I’m sure this would be a great app if it was smoother and was easier to understandmore less -
By T LI thought it would be faster if i worked on my phone and not on my computer but its not, i dont like that we have one hour to draw everyday if we dont want to pay, the buttons are really confusing and the select tool is really laggy (as it is on computer). I was hoping to have a good experience but im sad to say i dont, the app didnt even let me sign in, it kept asking me to pay.more less

By Aleksandar GigovClip Studio WAS the main Drawing Software until someone decided to switch to subscriptions business model. I'm done with ClipStudio on Tablet and on PC. With Krita out there I don't know why would people waste money on this app for 1 feature others don't have and is not that special.more less

You’re Not Adobe
By AquariusBatSo please stop? There shouldn’t need to be a greedy subscription model for an APP on a mobile device. Considering your other products are a one time payment between $50-$250+ I really can’t comprehend why you guys are so greedy....just make the app (for a mobile device....) a one time payment as well. Why should mobile users have to keep shilling out for an APP while others just paid ONCE and that’s it. It’s just plain greed.more less -
By LuuciDifficult to use and you only get one hour free a day unless you pay a subscription even if you already bought the program on PC. So you basically have to pay twice. Plus you can't save any of your pieces to your device. Overall the app version is poorly made and honestly a joke compared to the PC version. I hope to see that within time things improve, if not then I believe this app will only go downhill from here.more less

Horrible!!!
By hhgbgbjnhhkFor iPhone, it gives you a 1 hour pass to use, that isn’t fair for people that actually draw good and take time. Also, I wouldn’t mind paying a good fee, yet this fee is off the charts! No way I would pay for it. Also, if you use the 1 hour pass, half your time gets wasted on it just loading! Absolutely horrible.more less -
