Im really happy to finally being able to draw on my tablet with CSP. The only thing that bugs me, is that I'd like to be able to customize my interface a bit more. I want to be able to have the layers and colourwheel menu on the right side and brush tools on the left. IDK if it is possible, but I would also like to be able to completely turn off hand touch, as it keeps reacting to my palm. In general, a more app-like & simpler UI with a 100% customizable workspace would improve the experience!

I really like this app, but I would really like it if there was no 15 hour timer. I was doing a collab with someone and I was going to save the finished piece and we aren’t allowed to save???? I find that dumb because what if you phone shuts off while doing art, and you go back to that drawing and it doesn’t save??? The same feature is better if it didn’t need a subscription just to save a drawing to your library, it would be better if the 15 hour timer was at 15 minutes because I don’t want to wait 15 hours just to go back in there.

I never expected to be able to work on a full-size image properly on an iPhone, but that’s exactly what I got! I can open, edit, and save every file I can on my iPad, and it works great. I paired my iPhone with a Wacom Bamboo Sketch Bluetooth pen, and after figuring out I didn’t need to actually pair it with the phone, got pressure sensitivity working in the app and it works great. I can now start sketches and concept paintings from my phone, or refine them as I find mistakes. Again, I didn’t think I would need (or get) that from a phone version of the app, but here we are.

Good features and syncing files with my copy on desktop is very nice. However, the mobile app has no pen pressure at all for the S Pen. If this is fixed, I would consider buying a license to be well worth it. Until then, I'm going to continue using Ibis Paint for the pen pressure working.

It’s pretty hard to use, pretty slow to, I like how mine turned out (very sketch like) but not everyone likes that and also a tutorial would be nice (I can’t remember if you had one) but it would be cool if you had where the pens and stuff were a little easier to get, it’s a lot of work (considering some people have commissions) to have to tap a bunch of things to get to it. Overall it’s a sorta okay app 5/10

great drawing app. I love the fact there is it always show tutorials for new user to be able to learn, it has a fairly easy to use interface The only thing that is missing is the one time purchase option, I notice that it not available here but available on the pc version of this app, it would be nice if that option were to be added here too

Clip studio paint is very nice to draw on theirs different sizes you can choose and also it's very smooth! And also it's easy to sometimes get confused but you can always figure it out for a little while, I recommend it if you like drawing and making comics etc + I'd have to admit it get very lost since I use a tablet and I don't know where the layers are. 🐽

This app is truly amazing, but however I know the company has to make money out of this app, instead only give us 1 hour per day you can also make us watch some ads, you can earn money from putting ads and we can get extra hour to draw.

I really like the Selection tools, including the Blur (Feathering) adjustment. Super for merging photos using layers and doing sophisticated editing of photos. Excellent! While it doesn't have a true liquify brush, you can make a selection with Feathering, copy to a new layer, and then use the free transformation to simulate liquify.

I downloaded this recently, registered for free (credit card was not included) and agreed to do the 30day free trial. So far, whenever I zoom in my picture becomes pixels. Idk if this is what it's supposed to do but compared with the other apps I use they are much smoother.

Great art app, except I can't use it. I already have a license with CSP but it says I can't use it on this device for some reason, and you can't save anything you draw on this app without buying it. There's no point in a drawing app if you can't save what made. This app also calls for monthly/annual fee it seems? No. The one-time-payment thing is one of the reasons I like CSP.

Hi there and thanks for taking time to look at this. Currently I bought Clip Studio during a sale for my pc in the last two years. This month I recently discovered they made an app awhile ago and decided to use it. When I logged in thinking I could use my pc id for it, it says I couldn’t. I searched around online only to discover you can’t use your phone or tablet for clip after you bought it for yourself for your computer. Comepletely heartbroken time find out I can’t use my favorite program on road trips or when I’m waiting awhile for things. Clip will be my favorite still, but until there is some sort of way we consumers can use our id for both the pc and phone/tablet instead of buying two, I will be sticking to a different app that allows me to work while I’m unoccupied with anything else.

It's a nice app, except that you only get you use it for free for AN HOUR PER DAY. .. I don't know about you but, I spend more time drawing than just AN HOUR. So, I believe this is kinda greedy :/ But yea, the quality is good, not too many ads, it's okay.
  • IbisPaint X is better Apr 19, 2021

By Bella ❤️funneh and the krew
I decided to try clip studio paint because I heard it had models you can use and aspects about it that ibisPaint does not have, but the mobile version does not have models and the app is very hard to use. Also you only get the app for free once a day for an hour, but with ibis paint X (free version) you get the whole app free and it allows you to get all brush’s for free for 18 hours at a time, and all you have to do is watch an add basically every 18 hours. IbisPaint X also explains how to use the app with a tutorial when you first open the app and is simple yet complex overall. I’m completely lost while using clip studio paint. Hope you understand and think about these issues.

I can’t believe iPhone users get the app for free for an hour a day while iPad users are forced into a subscription no matter what 😨 I’d be happy to pay a reasonable ONE-TIME fee on iPad to have this software like I do on my computer. Whoever is putting together the pricing schemes for Clip Studio Paint seems determined to ensure I don’t buy the iPad app. I would pay between $20 and $50 not to deal with an ongoing subscription. Wake up!!! The iPhone is the WORST way to experience this software and the whole thing should be free on this device. Make more money by selling the program outright on iPad. As it is, Procreate is the best value and quality in this space.

I don’t know who is making decisions for this company but this doesn’t make sense to me. Why make another port to something nobody is going to actually use full featured software on. Why would I pay a monthly free to draw on my phone? Here’s an idea, maybe invest your time on the iPad version? Something people are trying to use as a work tool. Also the transformation lag you refuse to acknowledge is also in this version. Please spend your time optimizing current software platforms before trying to expand. This is not good.

    By *gay panic*
When I got this app I thought that it would be like the computer app I have a Mac meaning I would only get 30 days free. The iPhone though, would have all days free, at least that’s what the website said. I only had sixty minutes as a time limit and the app didn’t show me how to use the brushes because I was trying to draw using the pencil and not the curve but nothing came out whenever I tried to draw. This app is worse than my parents reaction to me being gay.
  • Subscription will make me switch Jul 9, 2020

There is no reason to have a flat fee for the MAC/Windows version and a subscription fee for the iPad version. This alone chased me away. Very sad as ClipStudio is fantastic. However, when I think of how I would be paying over 4-5 years, it just doesn’t make sense. I recommend MediBang for those who agree about the subscription issue. MediBang is almost as good and hopefully some updates it will be right there with ClipStudio. For now, so long! You’ve lost another potential customer because of the subscription.

This is ridiculous, the second the app is done loading it ask me to either use a free 3 month trial, or use it for one hour free every day. Knowing how long it takes for me to even finish a sketch 1 hour wont be enough. I'm not gonna use the 3 month trial either, because what's the point of even getting used to the app if its gonna be over that soon? The app shouldn't even be free at this point. Now I have to go find something better.

I’m not gonna say this is horrible but is it laggy and doesn’t help make your lines smooth like other drawing apps I got this to test it out but I didn’t like it with the fact that you have limited time unless you pay there are many free apps that I would use over this such as Ibis Paint witch is very similar to procreate but the only downfall is it has ads however I’m sure this would be a great app if it was smoother and was easier to understand

It's does more then expected, although doesn't free; the free trial is quite longer then expected, so it'll probably won't be an issue for about 3 months. I would like to be a be to purchase the software at once, and not to buy an expensive subscription (although it make sense). The UI us quite complicated, although you can view some articles and tutorials (and I would like to see help articles without the need to open an external web browser).

Photoshop on your phone or as close as your gona get. Extremely hard to get around on if you want to do anything other than draw r paint but well worth the time to learn. I like to animate n make quick Gifs n this app does everything n seems very advanced, interface as well. It's hard to find deep help for the mobile version so I downloaded Pc/Tablet version n learnd the menus and then you can figure things out a lot easier by knowing the menus n where things are.

I like using this app, but my parents don’t allow me to buy subscriptions to things because I’m a child, so I appreciate the free hour but I’d like if there was a smaller version of the app that was completely free. I’m not saying make the original app free, and I’m not saying you need to do this but, if there was a free alternative that would be great. Who knows maybe this exists and I’m just an idiot.

Like the title says , It’s okay , I love it , I tested it , and it was like procreate ( I’m my opinion) . One thing I really dislike about it , if you want to have a free account, you have the option to have 1 free hour. And if you don’t want to have a free account you have to make an account. I tried to make an account it doesn’t work . I really want an option for a 18 hour option.

Just downloaded the app today after seeing lots of ads for it. Seemed cool at first. But the app probably expects new users to already know everything about the app. The tutorials are ok but I cannot figure out how to add 3d models, which was one of the things that was catching my attention on the ad. I still cannot figure out how to. Maybe I didn't pay enough attention to the things at the start of the app. If the app owner sees this please can you tell me how to add 3d models (like characters)

I bought it to use on windows and did not realize you have to buy it twice if you want to use it on another device that isn’t windows. I switch between my laptop/tablet and phone and was looking for a program that could allow that. Guess it didn’t read the fine print well enough.

I just downloaded Clip Studio today, I think that maybe if I gave it more time the app will grow on me. Since I have been getting ads for it for quite a while. However after downloading the app as a new user, it is very overwhelming. I do like that it has more freedom with it, than the other paint app I've been using. But it's not very welcoming to new users. It's as if I have to already be a professional to understand the app, and the tutorials it provide aren't too helpful either.

It’s a good app to learn how to draw on but can I draw for more than an hour a day on this app. A drawing app shouldn’t need triel. Like we could wach an add to get some stuff for the day. One of the reasons why I don’t want to pay for a triel is becase my parents don’t like wasting money on stuff like this. I hope you take this review well and don’t mind my spelling errors

Enjoyable app, but the fact the pc version has a one-time payment option and the Android version does not, means I'll trash it after the trial period has passed. If you are someone who just likes to doodle occasionally, having to pay for a set period of time is a waste. I hope the devs change it to a one-time purchase in the future.

Wake up!!! The iPhone is the WORST way to experience this software and the whole thing should be free on this device. Make more money by selling the program outright on iPad. As it is, Procreate is the best value and quality in this space.

So please stop? There shouldn’t need to be a greedy subscription model for an APP on a mobile device. Considering your other products are a one time payment between $50-$250+ I really can’t comprehend why you guys are so greedy....just make the app (for a mobile device....) a one time payment as well. Why should mobile users have to keep shilling out for an APP while others just paid ONCE and that’s it. It’s just plain greed.

Everything was working fine until I purchased which ever version is for comics. I was able to use any of the brushes and they would stabilize and would have tampered ends depending on the pressure of the pen strokes. The strokes are all the same size and are rounded. I can not change it in the settings to taper the end and no matter how much I adjust the pen pressure settings and the tilt setting its is still the same. It looks like I am using the windows draw software from elementary school.

Ive used thos companies products for years in my PC. This app doesnt work the same and so I can't get it to do anything I want. I'm not sure if its designed and behaves completely differently from the PC version or if its just defective.

I couldn't find my way around this app. Yesterday I was making a drawing and I closed the app. The next day I can't find my drawing that I worked hard on. I am just very frustrated I cannot find anything within the app. It has a lot of tabs. I can barely figure out of to make a new layer and change the layer. I do not recommend this to anyone who doesn't know there way around this app.
