  • Wonderful...but waaay to many interruptions Oct 30, 2019

    By Blue Sequin
The variety of music stations is GREAT! Introduced me to some music sounds that I didn’t know were classified as music. Very enriching and beautiful. HOWEVER...there are ALOT of interruptions with commercial advertisements to order the full app and it’s options. So I have to keep switching stations to avoid the repeated advertisements. Once an hour would be plenty...please scale them back.

This app is the station adjustment dial on your morning radio commute. I’m a mid-20s millennial, however, I very much like tuning into the broadcast each day. More so than channeling into one of my monthly music subscription archives. Those feel drab, and their “radio” channels to find new music are always playing the music I already have. That’s silly. It’s isolating listening to one’s own limited collection, over and over the same music. It’s like never getting fresh air. But tuning into a broadcast fixes that. And this app does it for free.

  • Great access to music; could be easier to use Jun 14, 2020

I use this app frequently, and enjoy it a lot. A suggestion: A “favorites” feature that provides a short list of a user’s most frequent stations would save a lot of scrolling. Possible bug: My favorite station for background music while working is Venice Classical. Often nothing happens when I select it, though; this can be a problem at any time of day. Similar things happen with other stations.

  • Great selection, crummy user experience Nov 4, 2019

I’d love to subscribe but there’s not a working option to do so on the app. I would happily pay to not have ads, but would prefer to do it through the app and not from a website. Also, even if I did subscribe on the website, there’s not a way to sign into a paid account through the app that I can see or figure out. That said, I do really love the selection of pieces. Just let me give you $$$ though so I don’t have to listen to a bunch of Calm Radio ads... but let me do it through the app.

I love the variety of stations available. The only reason this didn’t get 5 stars is because there are a couple features I think many people would find handy. For one, a “favorites” tab where you can easily find your preferred stations. And for two, I’d like to see a sleep timer feature as well. I love listening to music at bedtime, but I hate leaving it run all night. So a timer feature would be great. Overall, this is a good app.

I really like this app because it plays classical music that I can sleep to. However the reason why I give it a two star out of five is because it keeps shutting off even though there is no shut off timer on. And when I have it on the Beethoven channel it constantly skips or makes this weird noise after it’s been playing for about 15 minutes. Also the whole calm radio stations are so incredibly annoying because they talk so much and don’t have as much music.

  • Almost everything I’m looking for Oct 17, 2019

Even though I also use Pandora, I find that it is limited in the scope of classical music I desire. This is so excellent. There are very few hiccups in the broadcasts. If I do not want to hear a speaker (I usually don’t), it is so effortless to switch stations. In short, I love the app! Cannot think of one negative! Five stars are certainly deserved!

  • Amazing!!! Apr 3, 2020

It’s by far, one of my top Favorite apps yet! Being a Writer, I can’t take outsider distraction while trying to concentrate, and it’s an absolute God-send Variation of Music, considering I was raised playing Piano for close to 15 years, along w/ my dad & his Guitar.. -So there ya have my 2 cents bit. Hope that was enuf for your ratings. ###Stay Home, Stay Safe, & Forever Prayed-Up!!

This app, along with all of Nick Culbertson's music apps, is the best free streaming app in its genre! Ads are limited to a simple banner ad, and the station selection is just about spot on. Most of these type of apps originate from Europe or Japan, but here we get an American perspective. Get 'em all, you won't be disappointed!

Loving the content. Format could not be easier. This app delivers on what it offers and it’s free. The advertising during the calm radio stations is fairly annoying...but that’s what a free app involves. Good news is that there are quite a few other stations with no advertising at all!

It would be nice to have more categories to choose from-maybe all the orchestral instruments? And more info on the performers as you play the selections. I support public radio and tv. The best news around (no fake news! Could say much more but will restrain myself!!) Please do everything you can to promote classical and all music!! Love it! Thank you!!

  • Great but Oct 3, 2019

Needs to be able to rotate horizontal. Needs to be able to continue playing while going to other apps and being minimized. Need easy way to see what had just been recently played sometime streaming breaks up a bit. Otherwise I enjoy some of the commercial free stations very much.

  • Wonderful if it could be turned off. Mar 1, 2020

Many, great choices for streaming classical music. However, it can not be turned off / shut down completely. The rectangle symbol for turning it off seems to only put it on hold. Closing down the app does not keeping from coming back on by itself, as happened a short while ago. After turning off the musing and closing the app, my iPhone’s control center shows it at the ready with the station and piece of music.

Good APP. But I would recommend to make some changes. The screen color of the main page has to be changed, because it is hard to see and read the text. The name of the piece shown at the upper part of the screen has to be shown with the bigger font. And it would be reasonable to have a button to memorize the information about the piece you liked.
