  • Apple Pay Mar 19, 2021

The app itself is very intuitive and user friendly. My 5 year old can use it very easily. I like that Ui. What I don’t like which is why I had to give it a 3 star rating is the fact that unlike all other apps, you cannot just simply use Apple Pay to purchase your order. You can only use Apple Pay to add money to the app. What sense does that make. I don’t want to have to add money every time I want to place an order. I want to simple choose Apple Pay and pay through Apple Pay. Having to select an amount I want to add to my account is senseless and it makes me want to use it less. Why not simplify it? Why make it so convoluted? It shouldn’t be that much work to simply place your order. It’s pretty evident you can use Apple Pay in the app. Why not take out the middle part. Hey why not just leave the option to add money to the account and have the option to use Apple Pay and let us as the consumer decide how we want to do it? I’m always hesitant with adding a credit card to an app. But Apple Pay is on my phone so no worries there. Adding an amount of money to the app yeah not willing as much. And yes I get that by doing so it makes people more inclined to come back to spend the amount they added but I’m one who would leave it there for 2 years before thinking about it again. Just my 2 cents. Otherwise I love it!!!

My family and I LOVE Chick-fil-A! I use the app more often than any other app on my phone. I’ve been a “red member” since day 3 of downloading it. I only request one change, when ordering curbside, could you add an “other” option for vehicles... I’m a paramedic and have to grab and go sometimes. When our food is brought out they are looking for a “red truck” because we can’t fit in the drive through but, a “red truck” is not usually associated with an ambulance so we have to catch the person with our food before they quickly see that there is no “red truck” in the curb side pick up area and go back inside (we don’t fit in those parking spots either). If we could have a option to fill in “ambulance, fire truck, police car, 18 wheeler... etc.” that would just take this app to the next level! My co-workers and I would be even more ecstatic that we could be more specific and get our delish food without any confusion to the amazing teams that save us in our time of hunger. Either way, the app is great and makes getting food easier for us.

The app works well enough, but can sometimes be very slow to load. The biggest gripe I have is that if any error occurs it blanks out everything, even if the order was successfully. This has lead to me placing multiple orders because I had no idea one was placed.
  • My 2 cents because I use the app daily Feb 7, 2019

So there are three complaints I have, but at the moment I can only think of 2: 1. When loading money into the app I love that there are different payment/card options. However, I cannot pick anything less than $25 to reload. I would like for the amount to be adjustable to MY personal situation. I understand people miskey and may make the mistake of adding more funds than intended, but if the top threshold is $100 then I don’t see where the big problem is. 2. I have a lot of rewards, and last time I made the mistake of picking a frosted lemonade instead of the milkshake. The picture look almost alike so it was silly mistake while dealing with 4 kids in tow. The manager couldn’t back out of the reward to pick the right now, but thankfully the points were the same for milkshake & frozen drink so it wasn’t a big deal. The problem comes when one may double tap the wrong reward (happened to me!) and then you have 2 fries when you only wanted one. 3. Will come back to give feedback

This app is perfect, I’ve never had an issue and it is very dependable. I deliver pizzas and sometimes I’m in the mood for a grilled chicken sandwich or my personal favorite spicy chicken sandwich with strawberry jelly! I usually don’t get off work til after Chick-fil-a closing hour. Also the last couple of hours where I’m from seem to be the busiest. I hate waiting in lines whether it’s drive thru or inside, so being able to place my order after I drop off a pizza, a driving 5 minutes to get there, walk into the store, grab my bag and I’m otw back to work is literally genius. Even better I’m able to comfortably ask my brother or my boyfriend to pick up food otw without dealing with money or them putting in the wrong order etc. This app is fabulous and I’m upset with myself for not getting it sooner lol. If there was anything I could change on here is giving me an option to write notes like, extra crunchy chicken, or give an option to have a large water, but that’s simple and I’m sure it’ll change soon😁

Update. The app works great now. Yet, why is it whenever I add pickles to a sandwich I never get pickles on it? Yes, I did try to file a complaint through the app but once you get to the end and hit the submit button the page won't go anywhere. I'm stuck and can't report if there's anything wrong with my order. I am glad I can order through the app now, that is a big jump from where it rarely worked before but there are still issues.
  • why YOU should get Chick Fil A May 2, 2020

    By isndkgsbskag snak
Please read the whole thing. Chick Fil A is my pride and joy. when i’m feeling down, and fry, upset, hangry, hungry, or my heart is broken, Chick Fil A is my cure. my usual order is a 12 count meal with either a coke or lemonade. first of all, this lemonade is exquisite. so juicy, sweet, but the perfect amount of tartness. next of all, it is grilled and friend also perfectly. when i eat it, i am filled with happiness. it makes my day usually once or maybe twice a month. i am usually a pretty healthy person but i would do and break any rules to eat my chick fil a. during the global pandemic, unlike any other fast food restaurant, chick fil is not touching anything of yours, so things don’t spread. not only that, but i notices that there were around 15 workers helping at cars so the line would go faster. i was practically outside of the chick fil a drive through and i only spent 5 minutes durning my visit. my food was EXCELLENT. not only warm, but hot. Chick fil A will always be my go to snack, or meal. i love chick fil a with a passion and will never give up on it.

I enjoy the app. It's pretty simple and straightforward. Only thing I would suggest, they need to allow multiple paying options to be used at one time. For example I had $5 left on my gift card but my meal came out to $10 and some change however I couldn't pay the difference with my credit card. So I had to opt to use only my credit card instead using the last of my gift card.

This App allows me to dine take out or eat in from the “bag”. Before the app, which i 1st heard Clark Howard praise on the radio, the Atlanta Peachtree X Collier Rd location, a mere 2blocks from our office was nearly unusable due to the wait times. I would go there once every few months and never use the drive through, now i walk up on pleasant days at least weekly. i know to hit the “i’m here” button about 100 yds before i walk in and i now get my food in 1 to 3 minutes like clock work. The app allows me to customize everything on the menu and while i’ve seen them miss a condiment here or there i think overall accuracy is much higher because of the total digital experience. The only flaw i saw recently is they removed all salads for a week or 2 due to the romaine lettuce problems - in a perfect customer experience world they would have messaged inside the app what was going on.
  • I want to love the app like I love Chick Fil A Jul 25, 2018

This app is mediocre at best. I got a Facebook notification about a free sandwich if I purchased online today. Ordering chicken minis online from home worked to begin with but that was where the success ended. I left home and immediately couldn’t access my order to “pull up and let them know” I was at the restaurant. I have not once ever, despite re-downloading the app at least 3 times, been able to view orders or treats without being on wifi (typically mine at home). I have an iPhone 8+, have the latest version of ios, and sufficient memory on my phone for the app. But I get the message that the app “isn’t connected to the internet”—whaaa? I live in a town of 200,000 on a major highway with LTE everywhere. So, to solve my problem I just pulled up to the drive thru and told them I had an online order. The girl gave me my food but gave me no free sandwich or comparable breakfast item. I thought the free item might come as a notification on the app but nope, not there, either. A disappointment altogether...Please get the glitches fixed on this app once and for all.

Yes it works but over-engineered. Used the app to pick up in store and had to wait about as long as the long line of cars in the drive-through who didn't use the app. Reason: They don't start preparing your food until you actually arrive and it requires your GPS & your verification that u arrived. If there are 50 cars at the drive-thru you still have to wait. May as well walk in and order at the counter the old fashioned way. With Starbucks app u order and the food is waiting when u get there.

This app used to be good, and I used it very frequently. I'm a CFA Red member, to give you an idea of how frequently, heh. Took a few weeks off from going to CFA, and when I go to place my order today, I find that the app must have been updated recently. It is incredibly unstable, hanging on every loading screen, buttons are unresponsive (and/or take forever to show up), etc. It took 20 minutes to input my order, with all the issues. Very disappointing. I'm using a Samsung S20+, fully updated.
  • Terrible customer service response time Nov 7, 2019

    By Parr505
I purchased food at roughly noon through the app and received a “503 error”. I then went in to the store and paid for my food the old fashion way. About 7 hours later I got a notification saying my food was ready, and my card was charged and my free sandwich reward was used. Tech issues happen, I get that, but the customer service is TERRIBLE. I’m currently on hold as I write this. I emailed in a few weeks ago with no response. After a few days I called in after I didn’t get a response. I was told my issue was being handled by a “regional manager” on the first call. No time frame was given on a resolution which is fine I guess. Here I am, 3 weeks later without a resolution and I can’t even talk to someone on the phone due to hold times. I was kicked off the line while waiting to talk to a rep and I’m on hold again. When the app works as intended (it usually works fine), it’s an excellent app. However, when things go wrong you have to rely on the customer support team to give a resolution within their policy. I can no longer order food from the app with confidence due to the poor customer service experience. If something goes wrong on the app, expect to have your money tied up for weeks and even months. I don’t even know if my issue will be resolved at this point. It’s a shame because the app works so well most of the time and the user experience when it works is excellent.

Awesome restaurant. Absolutely awful app. Multiple times now when placing an order, once I go to submit, it says the order couldn't go through and erases everything I had. First time we submitted another order, but then they said it went through twice and we had to get one canceled. The second time we asked a worker if they had our order since we had already had this issue and were on a time crunch; they said they didn't have it. We had to leave with no food, only to still be charged later.
  • Can’t add multiple gift cards or multiple orders. Account switch limit Nov 20, 2018

    By AppleJedi
One star! The old app allowed you to stack multiple Chick Fil A gift cards but the new one does not. My local grocery only sells Chick Fil A cards in multiples of $10. I buy them there for fuel rewards. $10 doesn’t feed my family. Additionally the new app won’t let you place an additional order for food if you forgot something. You must pick up your first order before the app allows you to place another. This means going in and standing in line to place an order for the additional item. This wastes a lot of time! Some rewards won’t let you redeem two in the same order so this reduced functionality forces you to complete the first order to be able to redeem your treat reward in a second order. One more thing... old app remembered the previous Chick-Fil-A login email and the new one does not. I buy multiple cow calendars and now it’s more work to log out of one account to redeem the monthly treat and then log into another at the same Chick Fil A visit usually. For example we will use my account for my calendar treat and then my son’s account for his calendar treat of the month. Old app remembered the previous email address to save time typing it in but new one makes you delete it and type it all out. Inefficient! Your developers should be ashamed of themselves for butchering the app! Please bring back the original superior app!

When I ordered with the app, and pressed the Im Here button, the app crashed...went in again on the app and the order was gone. At least I got a receipt for it and waited curbside on one of the numbered spots since my order was started as curbside. Waited 10-15 mins and nothing. When I went inside to check one of the patrons searched and was clueless to what happened. They eventually found the order fullfilled but left on the spot they leave orders for ubereats to pick. A lot of wasted time.

App just doesn't work. Seems like no one monitors problems with it. A month ago anytime the map needs opened the app just crashes. I have since reinstalled android on the phone. I have also attempted using a different phone with the same account. There is no response to reviews. If you submit a support ticket on the website a couple weeks later you get a response to check the FAQ for the app even though it shows you them prior to submitting a ticket. Not worth my time to wait in the drive through so I won't be eating at chick-fil-a for a while because of the app.
  • Confused CFA Guests May 8, 2019

    By reedjschueler
As a Team Member, I feel obligated to express some of the thoughts guests express to me about the app, because we run into a lot of problems with it at my CFA. Rewards are too hard to get to and slow down the flow of ordering. Why is the most important option of Rewards (Redeeming in store) the last page? I often have a hard time telling guests how to get to that page and have to just point at their phone. That's weird. We should be able to explain to guest how to get to this page in simple phrases, like click the button in the top right hand corner. Not click the present (you have to say present because the font that says "Rewards" is to small to read) Then swipe over in the top 1/3 of the screen twice. Thats weird, and we often say like "sorry our app is a little weird" to guests to make them to feel like its their fault. Overall, there's a lot of messy parts. Guests also try to scan to pay and don't know they didn't hook up money, and this is just because the font on button is just way to small. In Florida, about 50% is 50+, and you we cant depend on them being able to read the very small text so we just say tap the 1st or 2nd button, but it would be much easier if everything was just readable. I hope these thoughts help in improving the app. :)

Terrible app. Closed curbside pickup so had to go through the drive thru, which I was trying to avoid, that is always slow. Their team member didn't even understand anything about the app or how to put it in for them to make my order. Had to wait 25 minutes to finally get my order because of their app.
  • App Hacked, Nothing Was Done May 31, 2019

    By rynpup
When I discovered that someone hacked into my Chick Fil A app and was using my credit card to add money to a digital gift card, I immediately called customer service. The representative admitted it’s very likely someone did hack my account and discouraged me from deactivating it. I took his advice and instead changed my password, enabled Touch ID and removed my credit card information from the app and called the card company. My card company handled everything perfectly, but the next day I discovered my account was still being used by someone on the other side of the country. I called Chick Fil A customer service again and he submitted a form to have my account deactivated. It’s been a week, my account is still being used by the hackers and nothing has been done on Chick Fil A’s part. I’m shocked by how hard it has been to keep my account secure. Even though I’ve enabled Touch ID and changed my password, it seems as though there’s no way to force a log out so whoever used my account the first time is still able to do so. And I don’t have the capability to deactivate my account myself because of the outstanding balance the hackers put on the digital gift card linked to my account. As soon as I get customer service to do their job, I am deleting the app and will never re-download.

  • Time Saver ! close to flawless so far May 9, 2018

  • Needs additional feature for allergies! Mar 7, 2018

    By Amy_dub
Tonight I ordered a Cobb salad in addition to several other items for curbside pick up. Within the item notes of the salad I put in capital letters “NO EGGS - allergic” because there was no option to order my Salad minus any ingredients. I also included within the whole order notes the same comment, in capital letters. I get my order quickly at curbside, but I’m disappointed to see my salad covered in egg. It’s been an exhausting day, my family is home starving and the restaurant is extremely busy. So I just take my incorrect order home because I don’t have the time or energy to go inside, with NO receipt, and wait for a new salad. At home we had to switch around who was eating what since the egg is chopped so finely it literally cannot be picked off. CFA is so accommodating of allergies when eating within the restaurant, it would be nice to see that accommodation extend to the app as well!
  • Needs a “referral credit” feature Jul 24, 2018

I love this app! I’ve had it since 2016 when it first came out. I love that you get treats whether you buy food or just because. I love that now you can scan your receipt if you forgot to scan your app at the restaurant. I love that you can place mobile orders and skip long lines (even though the lines move super quick anyway). I tell all my friends that they need to download the app, especially if they have kids, because let’s face it, Chick-fil-A is the best option for “fast food.” I put it in quotes because Chick-fil-A is my favorite restaurant and I don’t qualify it as fast food. With that being said, the only thing that can take this app to the next level is a referral credit option. When I refer people to download the app, it would be nice to get treated in any form. Perhaps a head start to a treat, a free treat option, or cash placed onto the app. What do you think?
  • The only way! Aug 6, 2019

    By GaRailroadMan90
Since the first time I downloaded the app, I have yet to order any other way. From curb side pick up, to the drive thru, or even walking in to pick up. Everyone knows Chick-fil-A is always busy, and it’s an obvious reason. How I pick up depends on the line inside, or the drive thru. It remember your most frequent orders, so you can literally get your favorite meal with two clicks! I would give it 5 stars, yet one time they didn’t put my sauce in the bag. Everyone knows you need the sauce. I didn’t complain to them, because let’s face it, the Chick-fil-A staff are the most courteous and joyful crew I’ve ever been served by. They even give my pup a biscuit at breakfast! I highly recommend using the app. Even if you’re going to dine in! Your order will be waiting on the counter, with your name clearly shown on the receipt! Plus they give rewards for using, like the free sandwich I got just a couple days ago!
  • This app is RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING Oct 11, 2017

    By Visay1
If you love Chik-Fil-A, you NEED to download this app!!! It’s SO CONVENIENT! Like I don’t remember how I even got to downloading it but all I know is I use it a LOT more than I thought I would (almost more than yelp lately, whaaat?!). I mean Chik-Fil-A’s drive thru service is already top-notch fast, but if you don’t mind walking a little (the app is carry-out only) then you’ll get your food even faster than drive-thru... you even skip the lines inside!! The app is super easy to use and has a picture, prices, and calories for each item. I made an order during rush hour from my car in the parking lot, walked in, and they were already done. I kinda felt bad because the register lines went out the door and drive thru was slammed. Not to mention FREE FOOD!!!! The app gives you a lot of free stuff for using it!! I’ve gotten free waffle fries, a couple free sandwiches, free ice cream... I love this app.

It's beginning to get a little buggy.. Sometime it randomly logs me out in the middle of placing my order. Sometimes it makes me do my order twice before it will let me pay. Today it kept saying something was wrong with my payment method. There wasn't. It crashed about 6 more times. Finally it crashed and let me restart it and re do my order for the 7th time and then went fine
  • Rewards program has been DOWNGRADED Aug 2, 2018

    By Curtisamongus
Used to be really happy with ChikFilA rewards program. I would get free food items every few visits. However, they just changed their rewards program into a tier based points system. For example, the lowest level gives you 10 points for every dollar. To give you an idea, salads (which I used to get for free around once a month) take 1500 points to purchase. That means you would have to spend $150 in fast food at ChikFilA just to get a free salad. The top tier (red member) requires 5000 points to maintain red-level status. Red members accrue points faster by getting 12 points for every dollar and get a few more benefits - nothing that much more amazing than lower level members. 5000 points is over $400 in fast food within a year. I don’t think my arteries could handle that. Anyways, as far as the app goes it’s great and easy to do mobile orders. However, I don’t think I will be spending as much at ChikFilA as I used to because of the rewards program changes.
  • ONE THING NEEDS IMPROVEMENT Nov 17, 2018

    By Nancyw69
The only thing about this app that needs improvement is the where you can put a note to the store. My family and order through the app and love it for the most part, however, the spaces it gives to let the store know something that you would like them to do is NOT enough! I just tried to put that I want the fries in separate bags that have salt on them and this is all I could put and had to do it without spaces between words to put the message: UNSALTEDFRIESSEPARATEBAGMARKED So I was trying to say that I wanted the unsalted fries in a separate bag and mark it so I would know which ones are salted and which ones are not, but the above message took every space it gives you, so if you wanted to ask tell them to put one of the meals in a separate bag or to put all the sauces in separate bag or anything else there is no way to do it! And now I just noticed that when you review your order details after you submit it, you can’t see the message you sent with it. That also needs to be corrected! One last thing I just remembered, I know that when I got through the drive thru or go inside and order, I can order the fruit cups without one of the fruits that I don’t care for, but it doesn’t allow that on the app, so that would also either need more space on the message part or the option to remove one of the fruits from the fruit cup! In the end, I don’t really understand why the message part is SO limited with spaces! :/
  • Love it so much, one thing consistently bother me though Feb 22, 2019

    By Sizzleksiz
I have had the chic fil a app since it launched originally, and I’ve always loved it. I love the improvements that have been made, I love the usability and really just how easy the app makes everything. It’s very convenient and quite frankly elevates the experience. But, one thing has continuously bothered me that I’m surprised hasn’t already been added to the app. If you have multiple payment methods within the app, you cannot name them. I have multiple cards in my app, and all the app shows is the last 4 of the app so I can differentiate them but I don’t memorize the last 4 of every card I have, so it’s really frustrating. I would very much like to see a feature allowing you to name the different cards. Also, sometimes when ordering through the app, I have maybe 41 cents or something like that, some money but not enough to buy something, left on my chic fil a card. But, in order to use that I’d have to reload the card and then use it, or go inside and scan it, which defeats the purpose of the mobile order to skip the line. There should really be a way to combine these two payment methods, so I could use the rest of the money of the chic fil a card with one of the payment methods in the app. Overall, wonderful. If the features above were added, it would only make the experience better!
  • Watch out if you have a gift card Sep 16, 2020

    By R Lut
My biggest problem is using the gift card to pay. You have to buy the exact amount you have on your gift card (that’s been uploaded to your account) or less than the amount of the gift card. The app doesn’t allow you to use a second payment if your purchase goes above your gift card amount. You have to use a credit card to put more money on the gift card if you go over the gift card amount. This seems silly as you can use a gift card and select a credit card for the rest of the amount on all online shopping I’ve ever done. I won’t be uploading gift cards on the app for this reason. I don’t want CFA gift cards for this reason. I don’t want to have to spend more money on adding to a gift card amount. Please let’s make the app more current worth the times and allow it to use a credit card and gift card.

I love everything about the app! Most specifically the way you can customize any item on the menu and being able to choose how you want to pick it up. Personally, I love doing Curbside because it’s always been faster than sitting in the drive thru and because I’m too lazy to get out of my car and go inside. The downside is that they usually forget my sauces so I end up inside anyways. The only reason this isn’t a five star review is because the app requires you to load money onto it and the lowest you can add is $10. I wish the developers of this app could figure out how to let customers just Apple Pay to pay for the order directly. I would definitely use this app more often if that happened. When I’m not in a rush I like dinning in but never use the app to order because of the limited payment options. I’d u
  • More customization please Aug 8, 2018

Overall the app is very convenient, especially combined with Apple Pay. My concern though is not having the option to add three pumps of strawberry from the shake stuff to my tea on the app. Yes, there’s special instructions, but I was told they won’t do it anymore because it costs extra and there’s no way to charge through the app for the pumps. So when I order ahead of time to pick up an order for two people, it’s a little inconvenient having to always go in and wait in line for a separate order just for my custom drink. Which is still a very simple order. I’ve been getting this custom tea for 7 years, and every single employee gives me a confused look when I order it lol. Even though an employee told me of the idea 7 years ago. Please just add more custom options for the drinks. I don’t care if it costs extra.

Our local Chick is very busy, and while parking to do indoor pickup may sound inconvenient, it’s far better than dealing with a drive through line which wraps around the building! It’s great to order, drive there and pick up quickly. I currently have two wish-list items for which I would give that 5th star: 1) Please give us the option to pay with Apple Pay or PayPal. I would rather not share my CC info. Jimmy John’s offers Apple Pay and I really like that. 2) In your feedback options, please add the option for us to report that we did not receive the items we ordered, along with the ability to explain what was wrong. Periodically I get sweet tea instead of unsweetened... gah!!! Can’t drink the sweet stuff, have to pour it down the drain. I try to remember to check it before I leave the store, but sometimes I forget.
  • Chick-fil-A is missing on a lot of money Jul 3, 2019

    By Jmp813
I like the app but I think you guys could make a lot more money by gamifying it and adding an achievements tab and using achievements as a way to get additional business from the customers that already love your products and quality of service. It could work something like this- (This is where the thought came from by the way) "The Chick-fil-An Achievement": Order Chick-fil-A breakfast, lunch, and dinner within a 24 hour period and get an additional 25 points on top of the points you already were getting. "The Weekend Warrior Achievement": Order Chick-fil-A multiple Saturdays in a row and get some additional reward points that way. You get where I'm going. It's rewarding people with a few reward points which is easy to do and track for you guys. But can ultimately make you guys loads of money on the back end especially with younger people like myself (I'm a 25 year old running a real estate business) who like stuff and do stupid stuff simply because it was gamified. And forget how much money that can be made on the generation behind me, they waste tons of money on anything that has the word "CHALLENGE" in it lol Good look. God bless. I'll keep my app updated -James
  • Love it but.... May 1, 2018

First of all, I love Chick-fil-a an ordering from the app is a great time saver. App is easy to use and is visually appealing and allows you to add condiments to your order. Want 2 packs of honey mustard? 2 ketchup? Easy! Just add it to your order. The problem is not all restaurant experience will be the same. Once location will have your food to you within 1 minute and others you can wait up to 8 minuets. Secondly, there is no pick up parking. I circled a parking lot for several minutes on a busy Friday afternoon unable to park. Finally gave in a parked in front of the dumpster and ran in hoping my order would be ready. And why do I have to front load $25?? That’s nice prepaid revenue on their balance sheet. Come on Guys! We should be able to pay per order or add the amount of our choice.

The app works well enough, but can sometimes be very slow to load. The biggest gripe I have is that if any error occurs it blanks out everything, even if the order was successfully. This has lead to me placing multiple orders because I had no idea one was placed.

  • I want to love the app like I love Chick Fil A Jul 25, 2018

    By Sillishelli
  • Good App Poor Experience @ Restaurant Sep 4, 2017

    By AnthonyDauer
Overall it's a great app. Customization of orders are limited. If want lettuce and no tomatoes, you can only do that with the original sandwich while you're not able to remove it from the deluxe version. At Fairfax Circle, a normally very busy location in my experience, they do not have dedicated parking for mobile orders, but insist that mobile orders are picked up thru walk-in vice drive thru. The app includes a notification that you're at the restaurant with the caveat it is to provide the freshest food. Sitting out in the parking lot until there's a space to park is not going to keep the food fresh. They should be able to either take my order number at the drive thru and enter it so I am in the sequence or it's an option in the app to notify them the customer is in the drive thru queue. Or reserve a space for pick up orders like every other restaurant in the country pretty much does for their mobile orders. The customer isn't going to know the parking lot is full before they arrive and the mobile order is to place your order before you even arrive at the restaurant with your custom choices.

App works well enough, 1 major issue is it's intrusiveness everytime I order it shuts off whatever is currently playing. I'd give this 5 stars if it didn't interfere with other apps. There is no valid reason when I placing an order it should shut off Spotify, youtube or any other app playing in the background. I love the food. Most of the stores are great. The system for curbside is a work of art.

Ok what happened this week? No large milkshake, no large ice cream cup? They disappeared off the app and the store said they're completely gone. They still have the cup sizes so this makes no sense. A large ice cream cup stays colder for MUCH LONGER when I'm taking it home than 3 kiddie size ones... So why can I now only order a kiddie size? Same for a large milkshake. Let me order the size I want please. :(
  • Good overall but should allow Dine In option for mobile orders May 7, 2018

    By ostatemike
I really like the app. I have a few wishes for the app and rewards program. First, I wish we could exchange rewards earned for other equivalent food/drink options. Often, I earn a breakfast biscuit and never use them, because I don’t like biscuits. I wish it would just allow you to get a monetary credit on your order in the amount of the retail price of the freebie offered. I also wish they wouldn’t expire so quickly, but I don’t foresee them giving any consideration to that. Most importantly, I think mobile orders should allow the customer to choose not only between Carry-out and Drive-thru but also Dine-in. It seems odd to me that you can order for carry-out but not feel welcome to eat in the restaurant if you so choose. Tried to order this morning (5/07) and the app crashed several times and would never submit the order. So I had to order the old way and wait during morning rush hour. Usually the app works well, but this morning, it wouldn’t allow me to submit my order despite 5-6 attempts.

Good app. But, Not enough room for customizations, maybe let us add a few more characters. Especially when order accuracy has been a problem and I have to put on there "please add all sauces requested". Deleting an item took a sec to find, why not offer a swipe to delete like on emails?
  • They do pretty good, except with instructions Nov 17, 2017

    By bookgirl262
I’ve enjoyed the app - earning treats is awesome. I’ve only ever had one problem but it’s repetitive enough to knock a couple of stars off my rating. My family special orders items frequently so we were thrilled to see the “special instructions” section. For some reason they never follow the special instructions. After finding parking and wading through the line to “quickly” get my order it’s frustrating that EVERY TIME the special instructions are missed. Now we have to stand and watch regular walk-up orders be completed before our mobile order is corrected. This has happens at least 5 times. I’ve spoken with the manager and the GM about what to put to get the directions followed but...nope...it keeps happening. Apologies worked the first few times but now I’m hoping this review does something. Maybe a manual acknowledgment or something when special instructions are on mobile orders. I don’t know but it’s beyond frustrating from such a customer-oriented company.

Good when it works. The past few times I've tried to use it it gets stuck infinitely loading. I close app and reopen it but it still won't load. Did not used to do that and hopefully they fix it, also why did they remove the option to add bacon to your sandwich.

Terrible travel and arrival experience. When I'm at the store I get sms notifications telling me to notify the restaurant when I'm on my way. This continuously happens. There doesn't seem to be a state for we got your order, sit tight. In addition to that the app continuously cycles it's loading screens never go away. I have to close the app with a hard reset in order for the screen to stop loading.
  • Clumsy process to redeem awards Jan 19, 2019

    By You know me.
Redeeming awards through this app is extremely clumsy, which is especially frustrating in a drive thru. You first have to select what item you want to redeem. It then gets added to the “awards” screen. THEN you have to go to that screen and click “redeem,” at which point it brings up a barcode to be scanned. HOWEVER, if you let your phone go to sleep and then wake it back up again, the app seems to forget that you were about to redeem an award and just scans as if you’re paying in full. It happened to me this morning. Only when I looked at my receipt later did I realize that I paid full price and did not get my reward. ALSO, once you “redeem” an award, it will then expire in 30 days. The whole process seems needlessly complicated. I don’t even know how it would’ve worked if I had received my award. Would I have had to scan twice? Once for the award, and once to get credit for my purchase? I love Chick-fil-A, but I might just stop using the app. It feels like more trouble than it’s worth.

I ordered breakfast this morning through the app at 10:20 because I knew I was 10 mins away and wanted to get the breakfast order placed so they could make it and have it ready for me by 10:30. The app said to confirm when U got there so they could bring the order out, but on my way there I got a notification that said “open the app and we’ll start making your order” which confused me because before it only said to confirm when I arrived at the restaurant . Then I got there at exactly 10:30 and went inside because I chose indoor pickup. I opened up my Chick-fil-a app, ready to tap “i’m here” and I got a pop-up notification that said breakfast had ended. I figured this was just a notification for everyone on the app, so I went to confirm that I was there and suddenly the order disappeared with no trace. There was no transaction history, no fee, nothing to show. I ordered ahead to be able to quickly pickup my breakfast, and instead I was left with wasted gas and time. I am extremely disappointed by this.

    By zelasmetallium
I preferred the older app for both ordering, pick up, and also the rewards program. It used to be somewhat of a game/lottery to see what reward will I be getting, now this redemption of points make it less joyful to see what reward I will get, and also disappoints me that I must spend less amount to get certain rewards. In the old system I will go out of my way to order, and even buy stuff because I feel bad for getting something for free. Now I no longer feel obligated nor will I go as often. Also the order pickup process was confusing: the animation changes now when you get closer to the store, and it makes it seems like by seeing this animation change, the restaurant is now preparing he order; in fact you still have to press a button for them to start an order, so last time I waited 5 minutes before I realized I had to do that. Final note, not all chick til a’s seem to have this working, once I updated the app and ordered, the one I normally go to said they never got the order.

I am normally pretty much a Chick-fil-A ambassador - I trumpet all things Chick-fil-A. My recent experience with the app was negative, however. I knew how much I had to spend before a certain date to keep my red status. But when I got within a week, although still thinking I needed to spend about $11 more dollars to keep it, the app said I had achieved it until 2020. I figured I had miscalculated, so it was a relief to get there. However, the next time I opened it after the rollover date, I was knocked down to silver status. I contacted Chick-fil-A, and basically, the response was “yes, there was a bug that did this, tough luck.” If I had know of the glitch, I would have kept spending to keep the status. I’m not happy with the app or how this turned out. Additionally, the app doesn’t tell you on the main points screen how many points you have and need to earn to keep your status anymore. Please bring this back. Basically, the app was way better before the major overhaul.

They should name the treat program the bait and switch program. The last two times I’ve selected a treat to redeem, it somehow takes off a different treat than the one I chose. The one deleted just so happens to be of greater value than the one chosen. Reporting it to customer service both times, they told me to turn off treats to avoid this. Duh, how can I redeem the treat I want to use if I do that? Beware there is no recourse if funds are taken from your autopay without your permission. On another visit, a cashier charged the autopay on my app while I was trying to get her to correct my order. I was told it was my tough luck by her and the assistant manager. Supposedly once funds are taken off by the store, there is no way for them to reverse the transaction even if they screwed up. I wound up paying for an order of food that I didn’t want. Third complaint, even though I was signed into my account and ordering through the app, I did not receive credit for a sizable catering order.

Loved the thought of being able order ahead but learned the hard way you can't do drive thru. I was in a hurry, placed my order and when I got there was told I had to come inside. The entire point was not having to get my 3 small kids out of the truck. Waste of time. Now it's not even giving me the treats. It's been saying I have treats waiting for a week now but the treats never load so it's not tracking anymore and I've wasted 2 visits because I'm not getting credit. Edit on 10/25 - I’m using the app and it keeps telling me to download the app so I can order online. I already have the app and I’m trying to place an order for a tray. It doesn’t let you use the app to pay for catering orders and you can’t add single entrees to the catering order. Would have been much faster to just call the store and place the order. I was also never notified that I had a treat waiting and just saw that one had expired. Disappointed but still love my CFA!!

This app has long loading times. I tapped to find the closest restaurant and landed on the page to add my address. I entered my address and was told that there were no restaurants in my area and I should select a different one. (1. I didn't get to choose a restaurant. 2. I live about three blocks away from one.) Uninstalling.

I eat there literally 3-5 times a week. I always order through the app, and most of the day time employees know me by name. I eat there on my way to work because ordering through the app and going in to grab my food used to be fast and convenient, and my order was always correct. That is no longer the case. It takes longer and longer to get my food, and often I don’t get napkins or all of my condiments. And I don’t know this until I get to my car because they tape the bag shut. And even that takes entirely too long. They can’t just fold the bag over and tape it. Instead it has to be rolled down ever so carefully. Anyway, today was my last straw. I decided to order through the app and pick my food up at the drive thru because I’m working at home today and was still in my pajamas. I got there well before 10:30 but didn’t get to the speaker until 10:31. I was told I couldn’t get my breakfast. It was literally 1 minute late, and if your employees hadn’t suddenly become slow as hell, I would’ve been at the window well before 10:30. So I left and went to Jack’s who served me even though it was a few minutes after 10:30. I’ll let them have my regular business from now on.
