  • Good game! Have some tips... Nov 11, 2017

    By Banpurple8
I NEVER write reviews for games, but I felt the need to say this. This game is obviously well thought out and has a lot of work put into it. You are playing but your also learning. I love it! But there are somethings that bother me as I play and I wish to point them out. There should be a way to "flag" towns and cities you want to visit later, and then they would show up on the fast travel tag. This would help a lot because I find myself getting lost and wanting to get back to a certain town, but with a loss of how to. Also maybe a better mini map? If you do the first thing I suggest I won't have such a need for it but maybe something you want to do. Also this is probably my biggest complaint, tapping at the market over and over to get something you want is so ANNOYING. So instead there should be a button that you pay for and it automatically does 10 pulls from the market, and you open everything at once. I really hope you read this because it's a good game I want to keep playing it's just these certain things really get at me and make it difficult to play.

  • Fun, but some problems... Jul 2, 2018

    By trumpsevil546
This game has had me addicted for the past week, and I must say it is quite a fun game. Of course, there are a few minor issues. One thing is that I wish that the chefs available for gems were also obtainable in a location, such as the Russian general, who is only available with gems although he should be in Moscow. Also, the game has been crashing for me recently. It can be infuriating because it always happens after I win a battle. Finally, I'm not sure if it makes sense for there to only be staples in cities. If anything there would be more rare ingredients. But other than that it is a good game, and you clearly care more about your players than most games do, this is the only game I've seen that has the developers actually responding instead of using an automated response. Thanks for your time.

I really like this game and since I had reinstalled it on my new phone, it has been fun except for the RNG when it comes to buying ingredients. Personally, I would rather grind cash to buy what I need rather than grind cash and end up with a bunch of ingredients I don't want. Have the recipe loot bags be a part of a special discount market but you buy actual ingredients be purchased for more coin but you can get the specific ingredient at the cities and towns.

Are you looking for a casual game that requires no thinking and just blind tapping? Are you looking for a game that teaches you nothing at all? Are you into those games that makes you invite your friends so you can get to the next level? Well, if you answers yes to any of these questions above, then you can stop and go download something else... This is a game that will consume your mind and teach you a thing or two (or 900) about food. Not only will you see some familiar dishes and ingredients, but you will also learn so much more about food that you don’t already know - origins, genres, and geographies... yes.. knowing where cities are (think global) will actually help you navigate the game... now you must be regretting not paying attention in your 9th grade social studies class... anyways, stop wasting time reading meaningless reviews here, and just go download this game... try it once, you will like it, if you don’t, try it twice... give it some time and you will be hooked in no time!

Its an overall great and cute game. The artsyle is amazing and theres a wide variety of food recipes you can learn and characters to get. You can even play offline! The only concern i would have is to make sure your saves go thru and have the right account linked up to it. There was a time i got far into the game and when i reinstalled it i couldnt go back and had to start all over.

They put 900+ recipies can be discovered but chefs can only remember 10, if recruited shef, 5 -_- Unless you get gems that can only get it from Boss battles that gives you like 1.. Or daily reward which only gives you 1.. And that's when it decides to be a gem, or it'd be other ingridient, cash. Gems are so essential for you to recruit chef or to have them remember more than "5" recipes since there's various themes you need to adopt to, it's one of those paid to win game. Sad to see this game go

It's been about four-five days since it says the app cannot connect to the internet. I couldn't log into my account for daily rewards and rankings. I have checked with my connection, used my mobile hotspot, my husband's hotspot and still couldn't connect. My internet is on and okay. My storage space is also not full, so why can't I log into my account? Please fix it. If this persists for another week I will have no choice but to uninstall the game as this is ridiculous.

I would give this game five stars, except that I'm nowhere near the recipe cap limit and every time I buy a recipe training slot it congratulates me on unlocking the exact same number of slots I already had (twelve). I've done this repeatedly, thinking there was some glitch or error. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and started over repeatedly, only to have the same thing happen time and again. I'd love to be able to rewrite this review and say all the great things it offers.

  • This game is PERFECT Nov 19, 2017

I’m an avid gamer and have recently been addicted to mobile gaming but I can not stand the “pay-to-win” or “wait-for-energy” types that ultimately force you to watch ads just to get into the real game content. Trust me, I’ve gone through possibly 100+ games since the iPhone came out and Chef Wars has been my absolute favorite. I literally haven’t stopped playing since I downloaded it weeks ago. Honestly, even though the game is free, I would have gladly paid for it. Overall, the game mechanics are simple and easy to approach but the battles are a challenge to master. Hundreds of recipes and ingredients to collect gives you plenty to do even after you complete the main storyline. Not to mention the additional characters that you meet along the way which have their own adventures. Dear GOD the Art is painfully cute and with well executed animations (who knew you could do so much with 2D!?) Trophies to win and a social leaderboard satisfies my competitive nature. And as someone who used to develop games, I greatly appreciate how little the lag time is when switching between apps or how I can ALWAYS resume where I left off no matter how long my phone has been idle or what interrupted it. Gold stars all day! Bravo. Thank you Mind Cake Games for restoring my faith in mobile gaming. GG, Cami (edit: idk why the name says that)

  • I AM ADDICTED !!!! Nov 16, 2017

ok.. so, i have had my fair share of games in the past, but i have NEVER had a game that I actually really, really loved. Im definitely not into baking or cooking, and I’m really bad at making dishes, but this game makes me feel like i could be a chef. Believe me when i say i have been nonstop playing this game. I can’t remember what day i bought it specifically, but i can say that ever since then, I’ve been playing it daily! I usually spend 1-2 hours playing it and i am so in love with everything about this game! The graphics, the colors, the characters and their personalities, the variety of ethnicities and cultures and their food. I definitely recommend this game for those who want to try something new, or maybe even for those who just like adventure and well.. food. If I could, i would rate this game 1,000,000 stars out of 5

  • AWESOME!!! Oct 21, 2017

This game is fantastic!!! I love how there are so much dishes and recipes to choose from with the ability to explore! It's mostly luck to get the right stuff you need specially rare ones, but nonetheless, the game is a breath of fresh air. It has so much color and the game is funny too! I love the comments of the judges 😂💕 and the storyline got me hooked! I even had my boyfriend download it so we can test out our luck in ingredient hunting and beat baron! 😂 i love this game so much! I wish there's another way to get chef recipe slots though and if there could be an option for the minimap to be able to scroll to check out nearby areas or where you are coz it's easy to get lost when you're roaming around 😅 But other than that it's super good! great job to the team! :) more power to you guys! 🍕

I like the game, and the way the developers portrayed it, however It's very hard for me to invent the recipies, which concludes me wasting my ingredients. The game was a bit confusing at first, and it's hard to get more money and gems. It's not a bad game though, just takes some time to get used to.

  • Ridiculously hard to progress. Oct 22, 2017

    By It's Sarah, yo
This is a cute game, but it’s very hard to get ingredients in the uncommon tier or higher early on. I realize you can spend a lot of time farming cash in Paris, but not being able to choose what you buy is a little goofy. I understand it’s a mechanic that’s supposed to make you want to spend actual money, but it’s pretty frustrating. The difficulty from French to Spanish is a huge jump. But maybe I’m just doing it wrong.
