Great Game, But Events Are Unfair
By Brandon L MCan I just start off by saying that this game is fantastic and I love every aspect of the game and the idea of having hero's as your main objective and point of the game, But after playing this game for a very long time (2-3) years I would just like to point out that when there is a new event out I am really excited to what it is and what great rewards are in store, but if you are someone that dosn’t really tend to spend money on mobile games(like me) then the Events are just a really big disappointment and let down to the game and I can only get my hands on certain stuff and win only a little chunk of items. Like I said before though I really love the idea behind the game and every aspect and function of the game to where I find some good enjoyment and makes me want to continue playing and would never hate on this game in a million years and what actually recommend this game to other people. All I ask is too make it to where events are more to where you don’t have to pay to get rewards more frequently but not all the time.. Great Game Developers And Please Continue To Make More Awesome Games Like This One <3 Thank You!

Great game played it for 5 years
By james567876543Not a money game, I’ve played for free and am competitive enough. 270,000 br but I not the best but can do most the dungeons. Biggest recommendations for game is I’d update would start with Troops, they’ve been left behind in progression and need more levels and abilities to be relevant to gameplay. Update spells level and types, if you can make a hero or more a month you can make a spell here and there. Garrisons, look I’ve maxed min, I want larger max capacity level abilities and more towers. As of now there’s three types of towers, 5 in all. Make two more and add some walls. I have too many hero’s and nowhere to put them. Add wall garrison as well to increase defense or add totem ability and blasters or something into walls for offense. Mini towers, not a brief ability but a raid long ability. I get the skins purpose but need something to upgrade in camp. Don’t over do it like clash of clans but just enough to put some work in, I always have 3 on standby and two one awards. Lastly green and blue hero’s. Make more, allow them evolution. A evolved purple is still purple. Level the playing field. I want to evolve blue and green into a super blue or green, completely different hero and extended main abilities maintaining color properties but can fight toe to toe with purple evolution in battle.

Great game not a p2w game
By RJ15562I’ve been playing this game for around 3 years now and here’s what I noticed. A lot of reviews claim that this is a pay to win game. I disagree. Yes this game has constant deals and sales but they are not necessary to win. There are very few hero’s that are only obtainable by buying them but unless your in the top one percent you won’t be facing these very unbalanced hero’s. A big factor in this game is luck. You can have crappy hero’s and be facing challenging opponents, but this can all change with luck. I got my first very good hero from a daily hero collect. This flipped the game for me. Getting a single stroke of good luck will make your experience so much better. With more recent updates igg has made it easy for new players to obtain large amounts of good hero’s and items that it is easy to not find yourself bored playing the game. Another note about it not being a pay to win game is that a few months ago I dropped 100$ in the game I received as a gift. Yes it made it easier to get good hero’s and progress but even now my best hero’s I got from saving up and playing the game. My experience has made it a not pay to win game that is very large and engaging.

By FallingLeaves02This game is sooo much fun! You can play for free or pay money to advance faster what ever is your preference. The igg team is amazing! They actually do help if you have a problem and communicate with them through the live chat :) so thank you castle clash team!!☺️ The only rather large problem is the chat. People aren’t restricted at all in their chat so some crazy things do happen in broadcast. I like to send our guild invitations through broadcast but lately I’ve tried to avoid it because the language is foul and people are using it as a dating app. Kids do play this game and shouldn’t be exposed to what goes on in that chat. Castle clash team could you guys make the broadcast feature a bit safer or make it easier to mute people? Maybe set it up to where certain words aren’t allowed to be spoken in the chat. A lot of people have been complaining about it lately due to the fact that some people say inappropriate things on there all the time. Thanks. Other than that the game is fabulous! I love how you guys update it all the time with new heros and skills and I’m soo excited for the new events that come!! Thanks again guys :)

If you are really competitive and want to be a top player, luck is almost certainly not enough, you will need to spend a lot to buy the extra resources. But you can do quite well for very little. But someone has to pay for the servers and coders, there are no interrupting ads, so I don’t know why people complain about this. You need to decide how to invest in your heroes and troops and bases to succeed in a variety of subgames that test you in different ways, and more generally how much of your time and money you want to spend. There are now lots of side games, and you can spend hours a day doing them. One annoying feature is that some of the side games or freebies became available after several hours, so if you are trying to improve using time instead of money, you need to game several times a day. It will be a few hours a day if you want to do all the subgames.

Haven’t paid a cent and love it
By LinnS47Yo guys... this game takes some patience. I see a lot of people saying it’s pay to win and that’s not exactly true. What I like about it is that it’s a mix between an idle and an active game. I can leave it and come back and collect, log on every day, but also when I’m bored I can go on and do raids and lost realm and stuff. Maybe it’s just a coc copycat- there’s a lot of those. Never played coc so I can’t say. You can get really far in this game and get the really good heroes without paying anything. It just takes some time and luck. I don’t know if I would ever pay money on this game, but there are ways around it. They are making it easier to get good heroes also. One thing I dislike is that I’m at a point where I can’t regularly spend excess gold and mana bc my walls are all maxed out, my builders are always busy, I can’t inscribe any more bc not enough crystals, etc. I really wish there was more you could do/build with the mana cost instead of the gold cost. I always have way too much mana.

Great game and not P2W
By mobilegames.exeI know a lot of these reviews say Castle Clash is pay to win but that is simply not true. I’ve been playing this game for around 3 years on 2 accounts and it is NOT pay to win. I can roll out the new hero’s in like maybe 1,000 gems that I can get from achievements. Also there is packs of resources that come out where you can buy them with GEMS not IRL money. Lastly in other reviews many people say their hero’s become obsolete or outdated after a few updates. That also is not true. The hero Pumpkin Duke one of my very first legends can still EASILY kill the newer hero’s with a good build. The people who say the stats don’t make sense are wrong. Every time your might increases a Valentina figure will EXPLAIN how the stats work and most of the people who said the stats are confusing mostly skipped over it. The ONE and ONLY complaint is that troops need a massive buff. The game has just evolved into “If you have good hero’s that’s all you need” IGG needs to buff troops so they are actually effective in battle.

Needs a little more improvement

I been playing this game for like 3 years now and I am pretty far now but I noticed that it is kinda like pay to win. The really good heroes you have to get at events which you have to spend money to get it and it still not a 100% to get it. Plus people spend hundreds of dollars to get a certain hero but they end up not getting it and other people get the hero with even spending 1 cent. They always come out with new heroes every month which is good but I will like them to see a better improvement of the troops. When you try to roll and get a certain hero it is hard since there is like 50 other heroes out there plus the essence. It will be even harder to get the hero you want since they are always adding new heroes. I like the variety they have. To get the hero you want before more heroes come out you gotta to buy gems to get it. Over all the games is good.

Game isn’t updating
By Archer ThalerI have been playing the game for 3 years now, and this morning when I woke up to install the update something funny would happen. Whenever the update would finish I would go into the game and it would tell my there was a new update to install. Very time I went into the game after the update it would say that and start over. I the. Deleted the game and tried to reinstall it, but a similar problem happened. Whenever it would finish installing, the icon would turn grey, and then restart itself. I have been trying for like 4 hours and still can’t get it to work. I have a 6S so If you guys can try to fix the problem that would be great. I have spent loads of money on the game and would love to keep playing. I gave this a one star because it is really frustrating me, and I can’t figure out why what’s happening is happening.

By Ladybugamber45it’s a fun game don’t get me wrong.. i’ve played this game for the past 5 years and i love this game a lot more than others i’ve played, yet it shocks me to see some people saying this game isn’t P2W. sure, you can waste hours and hours to become good as a F2P or you can just buy a Dynamica or whoever the P2W dragon is that event. they said they’d stop doing characters like this back when Molt came out and here we are.. i also feel that this game adds WAY TO MANY FUĆKING CHARACTERS.. like i don’t mind characters every couple of months, maybe 2 characters a year, but it’s like every month there’s 2 new characters and it’s so dumb to me.. hate how much the meta changes and i hate how characters you will spend tons of money on become useless in a year.. right now Dynamica is amazing but in a year he’ll be an old meta character.. sad, but honest take on this game.

It’s fun but has flaws
By Nikki613579007531345789904212It’s a fun game to play and I’ve played it for 4plus years now. The reason I didn’t give it five stars is because the chat needs to be censored, it gets really bad. And igg has censor capabilities as they use them in their other game. And they have become more of a pay to play game than they used to be. I haven’t rolled one of the new heroes in a long long time. It used to be exciting to save up gems or buy one of the packs of gems, but it’s been impossible to roll anything new, so your better off waiting for a new hero to become $10. I preferred to be able to roll one as it was more exciting, but since I quit sinking money into the game I can not roll anything. I have a friend that has never spent money on the game in the last four years and he rolls better heroes. So apparently you either have to spend money continuously or don’t spend any at all. It did take him a lot longer to level up, but he has so many heroes that I don’t. I have logged in almost every day since I started, so it’s become very disappointing to not be able to get anything new. Game is killing itself off, which is very disappointing, but I guess greed will do that. I’m about ready to uninstall.

So many flaws
By keytony77mI'll try to make this as brief as possible So first of all, there isn't a replay button, or a log of some kind that keeps track of your attacks. And if there is, it should be more obvious. I've been looking for it for 30 minutes now and i have yet to find it. Secondly, It literally costs 300 gems for a pile of roses to put up as decoration. EVERYTHING costs more than 300 gems. And for what? Mediocre, sub-par characters, statues, and decorations? And then the amount of buildings you get per town hall level is INSANE. You get a mine and a mana collector for a townhall level and that's it. Are you serious!?? Not to mention, the walls, oh my god the walls. What are their uses? I'm at townhall 9 and it's barely enough to cover one side of my base. What a joke. Despite the small amount of buildings we already have, we get such a small amount of walls that it's not even enough to cover 1/3 of it? Unreal. And ABOVE ALL ELSE, we can't even rearrange our base?? Maybe this comes further into thr townhall levels, but if it does, WHY!?? I'm at townhall NINE. It should be available to us once we reach townhall 7. At least. This is unbelievable because I've been wanting (some) of these changes done since i last played. More than 3 or 4 years ago when i was still in highschool. It's unbelievably unreal that we have to ask for basic stuff like this because all the devs want is money.

Really good game but the micro transactions ruin it
By Mcgruff70I love this game, I’ve been playing for a very long time and am still having fun playing it. However the micro transactions that have been put into this game are absolutely ridiculous, every time I go to play an event it tells me that before I can even play it, I have to buy 1400 gems! I am definitely not one to spend money on a mobile game, and when a mobile game basically tries to force me to buy something it pisses me off to say the least. All of the other stuff is fun and engaging because there is so much of it but when it comes to progressing and upgrading and getting new heroes, don’t expect to move very quickly. The main source of getting new heroes and upgrades is gems, and unless you have very deep pockets you won’t have more than maybe a thousand gems at one time. Overall it’s a fun game but the micro transactions bring it down so much.

So much potential being thrown away
By READ ME NOW!!!!Honestly this game has so much potential even famous players say so too, but you(IGG) keep throwing it away as in giving the advantages to those pay to play people who always get what they want without playing the game for a decent amount of time, yes I’ve spent money on this game and it’s definitely worth it but the game won’t last if you keep throwing junk into the game like unbalanced heroes, this one battle I literally put down one of my heroes, not even a second that hero gets obliterated and it even had maxed stone skin, like wth STOP ADDING HEROS AND FIX THE GAME ITSELF people are quitting because of the trash you are adding, fix the rewards, balance out the heroes, focus on what is actually needed instead of just completely messing up the game, it didn’t even take that long for the game to start dying, I’ve notice the game is almost dead too but you can honestly revive it but ACTUALLY LISTENING TO YouRE FREE TO PLAY PEOPLE!!!!

By Nkirkendoll90While I do love the promotional bonuses and the constant events so there’s so much to do all the time, I really don’t like one thing in particular and it’s why I gave my review three stars; the navigation of these events is very disorganized. If I had one or two centralized locations to access all the modes and daily activities available I’d be more than happy with the gameplay. Maybe you could list the activities and modes with a filter? Starting with the options to sort by Might required, Active Play vs Sending troops out and waiting vs Navigation, Amount of rewards available, and multiplayer vs single player to name a few. It’d help me prioritize what I should be doing and what I may have time for. Also I’m sure I speak for plenty of people out there when I say that a full scale, in-depth tutorial, glossary, and index are needed. I shouldn’t be expected to know exactly what I’m doing after a mere one crash course summary of the mode I’m in. I’d like to see any and all active benefits and rewards -both passive and manually toggled- I can currently take advantage of. This could expand the Pet Menagerie since they already have something similar. tl;dr Navigating the interfaces proves to be a muddled challenge. The game could do with some simplifications and a general focus on Quality of Life improvements within each update.

Skill Name: Diminished Melody
Skill Description: Hero waves his conducting baton, inflicting Silence on X random enemy Heroes and reducing their ATK SPD and MOV SPD by X%, all for Xs. Also deals True DMG equal to X% ATK on each of the targets. (If target Hero is immune to Silence, this deals extra Xx DMG.) Casts Harmonious Sounds that lasts for Xs on the friendly Hero with the lowest percentage HP (The target Hero cannot receive damage, move, attack, trigger skills, nor obtain boosts and conditions granted by Skills and Enchantments when Harmonious Sounds is in effect) and restores target's HP equal to X% of target's Max HP. (Cooldown: Xs.) (This Hero is immune to Energy Reduction effects and reduces DMG received by X%.)
2. New Hero: Primeval Golem
Skill Name: Startled Tentacles
Skill Description: Deals X% ATK DMG to all enemy targets along a straight line in front. For the next Xs, when this Hero is attacked, deals X% ATK DMG to all nearby enemy targets (ignores DMG reduction effects and DMG limits of targets). (Cooldown: Xs.) (This Hero is immune to Disarm and reduces DMG received by X%. When Hero has less than X% of his HP, he recovers HP equal to X% of his Max HP every Xs.)
3. New Enchantment: Purgatory
Description: When attacking, deals True DMG equal to X% ATK to the target and targets near it. They also receive X% less healing for Xs. (CD: Xs)
4. New Insignia: Spike Shield
Description: When attacked, removes X Energy from all nearby enemy Heroes (CD: Xs) and has a X% chance to reflect X% of DMG received (ignores reflected DMG limits) (No CD).
5. New Hero Skins (“Rite Conductor” for Despotic Maestro, “Damned Armor” for Primeval Golem)
6. New Layout function allows you to copy the base layouts of friends and Guild members.
7. New prompts for start of limited events (Guild Boss, Guild Wars, Fortress Feud, Narcia: War Era, Torch Battle, Epic Battle, Challenge a Warden, Line of Defense, Lostland, Labyrinth, Castle Crisis, and Blitz Gauntlet)
8. Relic Level increased by 10.
