Would be a great game if the balance was improved. Ranged units are too powerful for defence, so 90% of opponents just turtle behind as many ranged units as possible, usually with a building that summons disposable minions and instant damage spells. Makes every match take forever. Reduce range of all ranged units by 1, that still lets them kill melee units without taking counter damage, but means melee units at least have a chance of reaching them to attack.

This game reminds me very much of magic the gathering. Accept instead of your health, you are defending a castle. And you replace the tabletop with a grid. The gameplay is addictive, the skills well balanced, and the quests have good rewards. I have been playing for years and am still finding new card combinations and combos. The new sets broaden the gameplay even more and I like that developers don’t rush releasing new sets between updates. My only complaint would be you only have six dialogue options to speak to your opponent. It’s quirky and funny but not very practical. And most of them are very broad and hard to convey what you are trying to say to to opposing player. It would be nice to have more options in talking to other players. Also maybe a clan or guild to join so that hard to get cards can be traded for, since it takes so long to build up enough shards to actually craft specific cards that you need for decks. Despite the few complaints and suggestions I have, I still highly recommend this game. It’s fun and entertaining, but definitely not something you can split you attention on with anything else.

This game is great and is in no way pay to win, I have never paid a single cent on this game and am rather good at this game, you can get access to higher tier cards through the games crafting system or through card packs that can be purchased with and in game currency that is gained through daily missions. Additionally if your card deck gets ranked highly enough you are awarded a card pack that will contain a legendary card. Also you can get ranked highly with common cards if you play well and use compatible cards, making it rather easy to “Get good”. Other than that the game is terrific and I could not recommend it more, ever since I first played it I have reinstalled it on every new device I get.

Overall. Its a awesome game. If i could suggest some things to make the game better. 1) Traps that can be played on the battlefield. 2) more than 2 missions a day. 3) add more druid cards.

For those who complain about human foes with too many rare cards (from pay to play or freakish long play per day to get random epic cards) you can always play v the AI which has a standard deck with no rare or epic cards. The game has changed quite a bit in the last few years. The deck size went from 40 to 50, many new cards were added, as well as a new class of cards (druids). Also some cards have been weakened or boosted. So deck builds have to change over time to keep up game changes

My experience at the beginning was very fun. But as I progressed the players I encountered were MUCH more powerful than me. I kept losing Everytime I played and there isn't really any skill needed to play the game. Just spam cards like an a**hole and you'll win. Pay to win by the looks of it.

i had played this game for a long time. like a love-hate relationship. they changed a bunch of things, some for the better, some for the worse, but whatever, water down the bridge. they didn’t really compensate for some changes that basically destroyed the value of the money you had put in, but again, whatever. the most aggravating „feature“ is the hidden pay to win feature. it works like this: spend some real money and you will get better cards. if you watch the built in „replays“ you will very quickly figure out who is cheating/buying. it starts like this: EVERY game starts with a 1g creature (g is there in game rare commodity used to play cards, you start with 1 g to spend in the first round and it goes up to 10 subsequently), you can calculate the odds of that happening quite easily. the next rounds will be the same, a 2g card, then a 3g card. maybe they get into a situation when only one card in their entire deck can help them (if you have played enough, you will get the concept) - you can be sure they will draw it. they magically draw perfect combinations, spanning multiple rounds. it takes the entire fun out of the game, its as if you were playing poker against a guy who sees your cards. 2 instead of 1 star because i like the overall concept.

Solid gameplay. A little buggy, especially in the opening menu. It rarely functions. Often freezes, and so far I've never been able to use "Practice" or "Shop" icons. An offline mode would be a godsend

The beginning was great. Lots of packs. Lots of money. But after the first 10 levels, u can only get 70 coins a day. Now, that might sound like a lot, but to get anything worthwhile, u need 1000 coins. In other words, 15 days of grinding for that 70 coins before u can get anything. Thats HALF A MONTH. It did not used to be like this. Add somehting. Clans, win streaks, anything that u can actually do besides play for no reason. If it is fixed, I will rate higher.

Ninjas are extremely strong, I played someone who only had 6 gold and was able to create two Archanon Magic Eaters (one on turn 5 and one on turn 6) and make them both 6/6 (with other abilities too) by spamming spell upgrades! I had to focus all my resources into one and they managed to make the other one a 12/8 by the next turn. This was turn 7... And on top of that you gave them amazing card draw by giving them the Sleeping Dojo which was the only reason Crusaders were even semi redeemable.

It has been a long time since this has come out and I’ve gone through many stages of it from the point where all my legendarys were reduced to one and then lifted the cap and all of the currency system changes and the removed offline play I would love to see a predecessor to this game 👍 thank you Bitmass for bringing me such joy throughout the years with a game I can connect to my dad with.

You don’t have to spend money on cards and castles to win- just learn from your mistakes on the board, and plan the perfect attack! I really do enjoy playing. Also, during quarantine, it’s fun to play against friends who you can’t go see! One thing I would like to change would be the amount of quests you get a day. I don’t feel that there’s enough. Thank you creators for this wonderful mood-lifter!

This is a good game as far as I'm concerned. The only problem with the app is constant crashes during battles which can be very annoying. Overall this is a good app. It has many possibilities when it comes to building a deck.

  • A decent game with lots and lots of potential Jul 8, 2020

    By i hate it, 5stars
I’ve been playing this game for probably at least 5 years by now, so I have had lots of experience playing. And so far I have three issues: 1.) Low tower health (I liked the game better when a tower had 30 health not 20) 2.)Hard start for new players (cards a difficult to collect although they have improved on this recently) 3.)huge rework(I have experienced huge reworks in the past that have rendered my good decks completely useless, but you will get used to it.

I like the game it fun creative and you make your own build. But the one card that I do not like and that the Viking card that freezes everyone near you constantly for two gold. And it so op for it cost because u can just sit there and have most if not my whole army frozen for the entire game while you build up or forces. And I have so many game where I will lose just to that one card. It really make me want to quit on this game plz fix it. The games has too many things that make no sense to me and I can’t deal with it anymore

I started playing this game a long long time ago and recently came back to it. I have always loved the game but recently I've noticed about 80% of the time, when i open the app, it says “Downloading new content”. This takes like 2-4 mins sometimes even if i just had the app opened. Its very annoying and usually results in me just not playing.

Truthfully and honestly a pay to win game with little ability to improve on your own. The saving graces of this game are it's ingenious combat and design, but the matchmaking is grossly unbalanced and it ends up being too much work to get far. I would suggest maybe increasing the amount of quests you get, how much silver you get from quests, or lowering the prices of card packs. I understand how players can feel like they have no control in the game if they are new and facing premium cards.

Used to play this game quite often loved the stat stacking and buffing aspects. Took a hiatus then returned just recently to find all the card effects have been tweaked and by tweaked I mean hard nerfed. Can’t run zombie stat buffing with vampires, witch doctors are so much weaker than the original model. Knight decks aren’t as potent with consistent healing. My monster deck doesn’t stack as well now cause I can’t buff damage and move distance. Y’all went in the opposite direction and I’m really disappointed

    By GuruGamma
My family and I used to play asynchronous multiplayer together. It was a way for us to connect even though our schedules were different... now that’s gone, and it’s really annoying. Additionally, many of the updates removed cards we had paid for... its borderline criminal actually. This dev needs to shape up. I loved this game but I deleted it months ago Bc of how horrible the dev treated customers. Also, no offline is a problem to me too. There should at least be an option.

I'm going to give this game one star because it has abominable balance issues. Certain legendaries are extremely overpowered and can out preform any card you can throw at them in response. The last time it was balanced was a year ago, and I'm not even sure how effective that was. I wonder if the developers are doing anything besides keeping the servers alive. You can only get currency once every 24 hours, and that basically stonewalls all progress.
