    Now crashes if I want to check my transactions. Shows error page and jump back to sign in page. I switch off my phone every night and ON in the morning. I've also deleted and reinstalled the App; none fixed the error. Now works after few weeks of frustration.

    I've been trying to activate my app for about two weeks, it gives me 5 minutes of activation then after that 5 minutes says I must retry this is honestly exhausting and unprofessional. [Edit] I finally figured out what I did wrong. The app will not activate if your Capitec registered number is on another phone do I had to perform a sim swap then activate it again and it didn't even take 3 minutes.

    To be honest i had been facing a problem with my app today, even when i go onto my app sometimes it still takes long to go in the app. Whether i am using cell c network there is a few complications. Had been happy using the app but randomly today i had a few problems. Please and thank you so much for your service.

    Unable to open an account via the app. It captures my face and ID ok and then gives an error asking to restart, having to rescan my face and ID everytime. Doesn't have a chatbot to connect you to support to find out why it's not working.

    My smartphone which had the app stopped functioning. I downloaded the app on my new smartphone but it will notn activate. My phonecalls to Capitec have not helped.

    Simply impossible to open the app at all without it crashing I have tried it on multiple different devices yet no difference. The first time I was able to scan my face but since then it crashed and now every time I open it loads for about 3 seconds then crashes again. I have tried reinstalling.

    Useless, being trying to use the new app for hours now. Still cannot log in. Why would you create an app that customers can't use? So now I can't log into my Account, Why would you stop am app with no problem and something you can't even login?

    I am oversea I tried using the new app but it doesn’t want to activate it says it wants an sms verification which I don’t have cause I’m not in South Africa n it’s been months now. How am I going to get hold of my money if the new app ain’t working and my old app is going to stop working. Capitec needs to find a easier accessible apps to be honest

    Honestly such an annoyance. You have to go through a million steps before activating the new app that they don't tell you. Activation is a nightmare. Capitec is one of the most frustrating banks

    I haven't been able to use this app as I can't verify it because the sim has to be in the phone I'm using but I can't p.o ut it as it doesn't work in the cellphone. I can get the SMS but on another phone. Wood be nice if it sent a code to input from another phone.

    The activation process requires an SMS be sent to a shortcode number that only works when in South Africa. If you live outside SA or are stranded due to COVID, there is no way to use this app. Capitec is the only bank I have come across that has this ridiculous requirement.

    This version of the app is terrible. I have a new phone so I wanted to access my current account on the app. Had to redo the face scan several times because everytime I say "scan" it takes me back to entering my acc number. And when it finally worked, and I entered my correct contact details, it said that it wasn't correct and that I should go in to fix it. Even though I know for a fact that it was correct. So inconvenient and irritating.

    The app freezes whenever I try to transfer money. This happens because I have a savings and a fixed savings account. Currently my fixed savings account is fixed, and I suspect that when I go to the 'transfer' page on the app, the app just assumes there will be another account to transfer, and when their isn't, it freezes due to an index error in the code.

    I wrote a review yesterday regarding your app. The frustration it creates if it does not login to allow access to accounts. After long wait I was able to see a consultant who went through the same process as I had. No apps connection. Absolutely nothing at all. Just a blank screen staring back at you. Eventually it was discovered what the problem was with the apps and I will share it with you. The apps only works now with Android 6 and higher. Advised to buy a new phone. Advise sucks.
