    I love the new App, it is convenient in as far as functionality is concerned. However, whenever a new App is developed, there's always little or no consideration for people with low sight. Unlike the old App, I now need someone to read for me due to font size and colour. But again, this world isn't for visually impaired people. So, good job, I guess.

    Now crashes if I want to check my transactions. Shows error page and jump back to sign in page. I switch off my phone every night and ON in the morning. I've also deleted and reinstalled the App; none fixed the error. Now works after few weeks of frustration.

    The old apps was many times better than this one. It often hangs, and give that error message of " we are aware.....". It gives me an error when I purchase data bundles for some beneficiaries. I believe it supposed to be better than the previous but it's unfortunately not. Also the fact that you cannot log in without data but the old one I was able to log in without data.

    Whoever designed this app, you are a genius. I write this review because of my personal experience with it. Looking at how apps constantly bombarres you with 'please, did you like, or you love this, rate our app.' Your's just dors what it should. Vodacoms suck! Works without needing data.... But turns and turns until you want to destroy your phone going crazy. Yours, no data opens in a flash wherever whenever. Thanx. It calms me to protect my phone if apps irritates me. ************

    This app is good but, the budget function available on the previous version is gone, you can only track your money but can’t do active budgeting.

    Nothing works in this app. It takes 30 min, 20 log ins just to try and add a beneficiary then it takes another 30min and a hell of a lot of frustration to try and pay someone. It’s easier just to post them the money.

    Terrible! Freezes too often and CANNOT add beneficiaries, stuck on PIN which is correct. Worst app from Capitec! Update: Application is stable now and working but networks are not great and Capitec removed the free use on networks which has been a major disappointment!! Thankfully I'm now in a first world country where data is a right and not a luxury

  • Difficult to transfer app to new phone Nov 3, 2020

    Only possible to transfer “remote banking” functionality to a new phone from within South Africa, despite have both and SA SIM card & sufficient balance to send the authorisation SMS. Given COVID lockdowns (not being in SA), this makes banking difficult. If a user has both their old and new phones, why not allow them to generate & scan a QR code to transfer this functionality?

    I can't even get my account activated on this new app. I didn't think capitec would be the 1 to come out with a bad app because the old app works perfectly with no glitches at all. I've been trying to activate my account for the past 2 hours and all I keep getting is sms codes sent to my number and a 5 minute countdown on the app that keeps telling me to 'retry'

    I love the app. Its super convenient and easy to use. My only suggestion would be if you could look into biometric sign in please. Most of my apps have that and I rarely have to type in my credentials to existing accounts. Its just move easy made that way. Thats not the issue. The issue is I would like the Capitec app to have biometric sign in please. It currently doesn't

    26.11.20 - Thanks for the update. I see my request was enacted. Thank You Again. The missing star is for lack of Samsung Pay by the Bank. Great Job Nonetheless. 15.05.20 - Great app, but I wish it had an option to view & copy the 💳 number; especially since the numbers on the new card fade out so quickly.

    I love the new capitec app, It is much better than the old one thank you capitec. I'm happy with it, Thank for the upgrade of the app. To fingerprints authentication I great. Suggestion : I would like to see the App option of transferring money to functioning the same as the one in an ATM, where I am able to select or switch the account I need to transfer from or to. Currently on the App is a default desn't allow me to change.

    This app is advanced in many ways I'm enjoying it and it made my life easier, I have everything I need in this app there no need for me to go to the branch, if I have a problem with my card I've lost it I can just block it using the new version app. Thank you capitec well done

    Why when I want to access certain things in the app, I get a blank screen, I don't have patience for this. And even when making a payment takes a while, the old app didn't have this problem. I hope I don't regret updating it. I am also continually getting the message that "something went wrong", and I can't access anything.

    This application has really fallen off the rails now. I mean to activate it on a new phone is a stressful process, it actually cannot be done, you will wait that whole 5 minutes without any progress. Even if your email is verified, you will still get the same results. Just go to a Capitec Bank branch and don't waste your time.

    I officially hate this app. I thought after how many updates the app will be working. I'm right back to square 1 and 1 star. I have restarted my phone, cleared my cash, updated my brouser, I have installed the latest bersion, sent an email. I eve went to the bank and they couldn't help me. I wish this new app didn't come out. Don't give me the default rubbish because if someone actually read the review one will see I've taken all the steps in the standard response. I cannot do any banking at!!!!
