  • One of the BEST games ever Apr 28, 2020

    By Lou in Louisville
No exaggeration either. The characters are endless, each unique and with their own special sounds, are the cutest of any game I’ve played, of course, after the characters in Samorost 3 - by the same developer. I can’t even describe in words how well this game is made. It boggles my mind that those developers, whose heads popped out of the jack-in-the-box, came up with the ideas in this game. It’s unlike any game I’ve ever seen or played. It’s so unique, imaginative, beautiful, creative, and I could go on and on. It took me all day to complete the game and it was so much fun the entire time. I laughed out loud so many times. I can’t get over how well done this game is!!! It’s THAT GOOD. This game (and Samorost 3) are my favorite games of all time and I highly recommend them if you are looking for a great game with hours of play time. I’ve played every game by Amanita and I’m eagerly awaiting Creaks. Thanks to the devs for making the absolute best games out there!

The best of all Amanita work so far. The objectives are clear, puzzle are killer, yet, guides you just enough so that you can figure most of them out by then. The visual are great! Need a tablet to fully enjoy them though. That's just the nature of phones these days, we are just gonna learn to accept some things (I don't want my phone to be any bigger than a Galaxy Note please!). That's NOT a critic though!Just an observation. But, if you hate Amanita games back then, it won't change your mind.

Can I just say that whoever came up with the idea/plot and visuals of this game are absolutely whole heartedly talented people!!!! The way you figure out the puzzles and the different worlds and different creatures... I could just go on and on. Figuring out the puzzles really put your brain to work while giving you a sense of actually playing a game at the same time. Wow. I definitely recommend it you guys. I bought the bundle pack and am currently on Machinarium, so Samorost will be last. Can’t wait to see more from these developers. (An under the sea version would be to die for, give me a cut if you use this idea please lol -no but seriously.) Ana

I've had this game for over a year but this is the first time I persisted and got all the way thru. Yay, me! Now I'm sorry it's over. It is absolutely charming and one I'd happily share with my grandkids. Seniors like me aren't too keen on the mostly gruesome and gory adventure/escape games. Amanita seems to get that with Machinarium and Samorost. The challenges are pretty intuitive in what you need to do, although some walkthrough help was needed to see just how to do. But all are doable. Will return to this someday in the future. But please make more! And can you make Samorost 1 & 2 playable on iPads, please?

Lovely graphics but the puzzles are too random.

I got this because I enjoyed Machinarium, but this game is just bizarre. The controls aren't great on mobile and the "puzzles" are really just guessing randomly until something works, not much logic to it. The visuals are nice I suppose. Overall I really don't get all the positive reviews. Really just boring and frustrating and I won't be finishing it, glad I got it for just $1.

I love Amanita Design games with my all-time favorite being Machinarium. So I bought this game and one other one offered by them, but they don't work on my Chromebook (Machinarium works fine). Emailed the developer and after several weeks they finally replied that they don't support running this game on a Chromebook (even though Chromebooks run Android apps and Machinarium works perfectly). Android Nougat is Android Nougat. It shouldn't be available for me to download if it doesn't work.

I tried very hard to like this game. It is so visually appealing and seemed like it would be calm and lovely and fun. The first time I opened it, I was frustrated because I just didn’t understand what to do. I gave it three more tries on different days and got through a few levels but ultimately just kept going up and down the same branches feeling trapped . . . and that no option was left for me to move on. Frustrating. Many seem to like it so I must be missing something. I guess this game is not for me . . . deleted.

My son and I have been working through Aminata's collection. This game is cute but the puzzles are definitely more random than Machinarium. You spend a lot of time clicking on things until you find something that works. Not as interesting as Machinarium or as cute as Cuchel. Skip it.

Game is breathtakingly beautiful but unfortunately it doesn't work on brand new and updated Android (Samsung s10). It crashes on a screen with little spider (Part 2). I've tried to reinstall it but with no luck.

It is so weird and cool. I got it for my 4 year old. We played it together. Entertains us both. He is 5 and can play through it all ALMOST in 1 day. Love it. Still cute after beating it 3 times.

Funny, interesting at times, the duck part was good. I had just finished samorost 3 which was great and I also loved machinarium which I played a long time ago. I was a bit underwhelmed with this. Nevertheless, it was a quality game, with the amanita signature elements (attention to sounds and music and weird humour). The animations at the end of part 8 onwards were a bit zoomed and to the right of my screen, I have a redmi note 8 pro. Overall a trusted team, I buy their games happily.

Loved this game. It was fascinating and puzzling in a very good way. Only thing I could see being added is an into that explains what you are doing a little better. I was sort of confused at one point and stopped playing for nearly two years before I picked it back up again.

Later edit: I bought the game and unfortunately it's not working at all (I'm using a Huawei P30 Pro). I wrote an email to the developer and it took some time to get a reply and they offered a refund. Unfortunately I was not able to play the game, so I only gave it a 4* rating overall, taking into consideration the feedback. Too bad it did not work. I played the Amanita's other games and they are great. I'm sure this one is also.

  • Wait, where is my save? Mar 26, 2017

    By Dancer10903
I was super excited to play this game but I think it needs more clear menu icons and choices. HOW DO I SAVE?? I got the game today and it seriously is such an amazing concept with beautiful graphics. I played until I was half way through finding the keys and then I went to do homework. I got back and I was back at the beginning! I really don't want this to happen again because that it one of the most frustrating things in a game. Also, the sounds of the characters are a bit loud. Overall, I want to play this game for as long as I can but I don't want to risk my save being lost. I'd really like some clarification on how to save or an update if it doesn't exist. That's why I'm giving it 4 starts for now. Great job!! EDITED: it's about a week or two later and honestly I'm so annoyed. I really want to play this whole game but I'm always sent back to the very beginning when I was at part 6. Can anyone help me maybe tell me why this is happening or can you guys maybe try to improve that? Once that is fixed I would love this game but right now it's just frustrating and I can't play because I know I'll be sent back again.

Though I loved this game, the drawings, humor, etc I am stuck that even a walkthrough, that I have used too many times, I can't get past it, very frustrating , does not make sense, if it weren't for the walkthrough , I would have not have made it to the place I am stuck, having to do things over and over and over, so sad

No instructions, no hints, end up running up and down the same brand 50 times. The creatures do next to impossible this one time and then are scared of their own shadows the next. I'm collecting keys and see a key but my monsters are scared of the scorpion and apparently only one of my creatures is useful, the rest are just there for moral support and would stand there and watch the useful on get eaten. I can't reason with them. I have buyers remorse.
