    So far, I love it! Set up was really smooth and I got my card like the next day. I've successfully connected a bank account and transferred money to test it and it works great. I don't know how using it to get paid would work. I'm not going to try that yet as it's not necessary. It does take a couple days for transfers. How long would it take for direct deposit? Perhap I'll try in the future.

    I came across this app through an ad in Candycrush of all places. Intrigued, I decided to look into it further. Not only do they have the awesome possibility of cash back bonuses and the karma account, they’re also insured for up to $5 million by the FDIC. To be clear, most traditional banks are only insured up to $250K. Not that I need it, but it’s an interesting way to further differentiate from traditional banks. I felt compelled to write this review because of all the 1-star reviews stating how much trouble it was to sign up. Not my experience AT all. Took fewer than 5 minutes and they didn’t even require me to deposit money to start the account. Most traditional banks seem to require at least $50 to get started. The only slightly annoying part about opening the account was having to type in codes sent to your email and phone 4 different times. But seriously, under 5 minutes. I should receive my card in 7-10 days and will update this review should anything shady occur! Honestly, I’m really excited to see if this concept works out.

    I’m always looking around to find which is the best online bank and came across and few but decided to try out Bella. To my surprise I’ve already received 2 Bella Surprises and someone picked up my tab, they covered the cost of my purchase, within the month that they’ve been running. I think it’s a great feature, being able to receive random cash back from 5% - 200%. I try to use this card as often as possible since it is random. And with the second surprise I received I now funded my karma account to cover someone else’s tab. I see people having trouble signing up, I didn’t have much trouble and did so about 2 weeks before they had everything up and running and even got a free T-shirt from a promo they had one day. I still do have a physical bank just because I like to know I can use their atm and do other business I might need. So I don’t have much trouble on that end. when I did need to speak with customer service they were just a message away through the Bella App and even though it was really late at night. I think they are definitely worth the try & who knows they might gift you an amazing surprise. Bella definitely loves me. 🥰

    Love the bank, love the app. The single issue I've had is that I can't share when my karma account has picked up someone's tab, which would be a cool way to bring potential new customers, I think.

    So far, I love this bank. I think the design could use some work to make it feel like other banking apps, but that’s really the only thing I dislike about it. I’ve gotten Bella Surprises and “karma” account surprises where others have paid for my small purchases. I like that you can also put money into the karma account and help surprise others by picking up their small purchases. The debit card is super cute too!

    Absolutely a aggravation I didn't need. I funded my account last week and even though it shows my card is active and I have a available balance it declined every time. Now I'm trying to close my account and am told I have to use my card on transactions to get a zero balance!!!! how am I supposed to do that when it declined???? Just don't do it people

    WARNING do not use this bank as your primary. When they lock your account with no warning and provide no means of contact them other than via the app’s chat. It will take you AT LEAST A WEEK to have your funds unfrozen and accessible. In the meantime any scheduled deposits will also be refused (normally a frozen account still receives their incoming deposits). They do not have mobile check deposit, a direct deposit form that many places require to setup payments to you. There it chat support is unable to see attempted transactions that were declined (Bella push notified of a declined transaction but did not specify the merchant, chat support could not see any failed transaction and said it was them doing maintenance. It was my monthly Xbox Live, got the msg on my Xbox about the failed payment) Oh and that Bella Surprise feature?? Yeah consider that a non feature. For the first month I received Bella surprises on a little over 10% of my 1000 transactions that month. In Jan I received 2 then account was frozen. After account restored. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A SINGLE SUPRISE OR KARMA IN A MONTH AND A HALF. Bella Love Me Not #BellaLovesMeNot

    As more time goes on I seem to get nothing but more disappointments. I tried to fund my account, it takes longer than the 3-5 days that it originally had said. I finally get the deposit amounts to verify my account but I get nothing but error messages. I've reached out to support team, they had to put a manual ticket in. I'm really trying hard to love this app but you guys sure are making it hard.

    The app has potential but is inconsistent & changes in settings won't take. My biggest issue is, I'm currently in correspondence with support to remove restrictions that were slapped onto my account for unknown reasons. Very unhappy. I understand the bumps in the road of a startup, but this is an example of bad business practice.

    Signing up was a breeze, card came within a week, but trying to transfer funds from my other checking account took around 5 days! I also had a somewhat negative experience in the chat with a customer service rep who was clearly somewhere overseas and couldn’t communicate in English efficiently. The second chat I had was much better, and they suggested using Cash App to fund my account which was MUCH quicker! Received 12% cash back on my first purchase and I’m excited to continue exploring what Bella has to offer as they grow! UPDATE: finally figured out how to set this card up with Zelle and can now transfer funds instantly 👍

    Great bank. Just needs two VITAL things. 1) mobile deposit (with 2 options: A) free if one wants to wait a few days for funds to be in account and B) a small %of the check total as a fee if one opts to have instant access to their funds: when check is verified, user writes "void" on check, sends pic & $ is available instantly 2) linking our ext bank acc to bella savings. I would make bella my 100% bank if those 2 things were available. Heck #2 wouldn't be needed if mobile dep was available.

    So far I’m liking this account. The app is a little glitchy and freezes. I wish that I would get transaction notifications for deposits and debit card usage. Another feature that would be nice is a save your change feature that would round up purchases to the nearest dollar and move to a savings account.

    Love everything about this bank/app. Only down side is if you don’t have your direct deposit going straight to card then it takes 5-7 days from when you send funds from your other accounts to the Bella account. I gave 4 stars for the time it takes to fund money to card.

    I absolutely love the concept and the app...BUT...it takes entirely too long to have access to funds. It takes 3-5 business days to use the money you transferred into the account. It also does not allow for depositing checks. Once they figure that stuff out it will be perfect.

    I was one of the early ones on the wait list for this service. I waited forever just to finally get my invitation after it went live and attempt to set up my account but I'm stuck on the part of sign up where you verify your email address. I put my email in to get my confirmation email sent to me, but I've yet to receive the verification email. Its been days and I've tried clicking "resend" due to not receiving the email and still no luck. Please fix this so I can finish signing up!

    I was able to create an account easily enough, and the app seems quite intuitive. However, I experience constant errors and exceptions. I have tried multiple times and these issues prevent me from linking a bank account. I hope that the issue is fixed soon, because I love the idea of Bella.

    Extremely poor interface. Most banking apps are designed to show all important information (i.e. account balances) on the "home" screen. This app forces you to continue swiping to new pages to get information that in my opinion should be more easily accessible. Also, I don't see any options to load cash at retailers which means I have to connect another bank account. That defeats the purpose. Since this is advertised AS a bank account, I figured a bank account elsewhere wouldn't be required.

    Unable to login from more than one device so if you lose your phone or forget it and need to log into your account you might as well forget it. Also there is no customer service phone number that I'm aware of and trying to get someone on the chat takes forever. Hours sometimes. Money transfers take too long and there is no ATM deposit capability. I have been waiting since the 20th for my deposit to transfer. Today is the 27th.
