In the beginning it was great.. but then it started like ..When it works it works but...most of the time it dis not .. the first time I left because no matter what the only alarms I got was device protection changed .. .. then I got it back and thought maybe now it will work like it did to start with ..now I am thinking about leaving because I absolutely only get Alerts that say that .. I have checked double checked changed passwords .. I will need something more efficient.. 🤷‍♀️

Constantly disconnects from my child's phone every 4 days. Only way to restart the monitoring is to have my child open the app on their phone and click "check-in". The monitoring is great! Very sensitive. I have received alerts for possible drugs when my child only received a text about the upcoming covid vaccination. The word drug was not even mentioned in the text. Appreciate the sensitivity. Scheduling free time/school time should be easier when wanting to temporarily allow more screen time

Bark works well in theory, but it alerts me to things that don't matter, doesn't provide all of the settings that I would like, and is extremely tedious to back up every few days (which takes numerous tries before it's successful). It could definitely use some tech upgrades.

I got a free version. It's useless. Opens a VPN connection on my daughters phone to monitor. But this can easily be closed and then none of the controls work. Stupid, waste of time.

Absolutely awful! It says it works for iOS but it is an absolute NIGHTMARE to get it figured out. You have to install so many things and must have a home computer. I installed the Bark on my home computer then was told i had to install iTunes. I did so.. still didn't work. I did a bunch of troubleshooting and still will not work. Canceled subscription and will move on to a different app.

They don't tell you that if you have an iPhone it is harder to monitor or even impossible to monitor some of the apps such as tick to, snapchat, discord, etc. You also have to be connected to wifi to get the updates so if u are on mobile data you can forget it. You can never speak to a human but you can chat or submit a request. They only respond quickly when you are the trial and after that you have to wait and just hope you are near the device and the wifi and computer all at once.

Will not recommend. 1) The VPN disconnects more than once daily. We've opened tickets (3) with Bark and they continue to lead us down dead ends or blame another issue. 2) Instagram monitoring detects NOTHING. This bypass is known by kids to communicate. We ended up finding chat history of guns and pictures. 3) There are ways to bypass the on-demand VPN. I'm in the cybersecurity industry. Though it looks good on paper, it is far from a silver bullet. It needs an overhaul.

Parents be aware. There is no one to talk to if you need help. Everything is handled over emails. The monitor is rather intrusive, say good bye to your privacy. Oh and after you cancel, they may still have control over some of your devices, or they may not function as expected...oh and forget to ever getting a refund if you pay a full year of subscription, they don't believe in refunds...I would have rated this app "evil" but it is not an option...

Nope. Had high hopes when we first set it up because it found a lot of very troublesome messages we addressed with our daughter right away. But it's been nothing but frustrating. Will not stay connected on her phone. I keep getting Device Protection Changed messages all the time and then it doesn't track anything. I've gone through troubleshooting and fixed everything they suggest several times, but the next day, the same thing. Just frustrating and really of no use.

Would not recommend. I like the idea of it, but I couldn't set it up correctly. I'm pretty tech savy and followed all the directions, but it's still not working. I get a "device protection changed" message multiple times a day and it's not monitoring texts. If this were free, I'd struggle with it a little longer, but for 99 bucks this is not worth it. I will find something else. They don't make it easy to cancel your trial either. Red flag.

I agree with the reviews that the app doesn't work and they send you form answers that don't apply to the problem. You can schedule a call with someone IN A FEW WEEKS bc they don't have available times later in the afternoon when kids are home from school with their phone. They make it sound like you can call and talk to someone immediately, this is false. The service itself is expensive, they could at least take better care of their customers.

I set up this app to do the free 7 day trial and haven't even been able to get it to work. I installed it and the open app option keeps re routing me to a different page that doesn't work and on my kids phone the link won't connect us. I do not want to be charged when I cannot use this app and trying to get into it to my subscription to cancel my trial is not working either.

It works, however very unstable with iOS. Doesn't restrict and set rules as stated. If you block you tube on school hours on the app it doesn't reflect. Easily bypassed doesn't locked down as stated it would. Great monitoring and thats it all it does. Not worth the money.

Doesn't work! It won't let you sign in to the emails, way too complicated and basically waste of time. I had better experience with other apps.

No in app updates. You have to download the app online again and again and again. It's a real hassle. Constantly get device protection changed notifications for one of my kids too. I recommend looking for alternatives.
