Good app but doesn't save well. I had a good melody and assembled basically a full song already. But when I accidentally switched the app to landscape mode, then back in portrait mode. ALL MY PROGRESS WAS GONE, I was back with my last save (which had nothing sounding good) I don't know the exact notes to rebuild the song either. Please fix this issue developers!!

Notes began changing themselves, mystery notes appeared, entire sections would become off-key, I'd copy/paste a section that would change into a different section, save the composition one way and coming back it was totally different. The interface is SO UNBELIEVABLY sensitive, you can lay waste to an entire project with one wrong flick of a finger. I have PTSD trying to get the missing sustain pedal effect to come back after recording with my digital piano. But it will never come back. Ever.

I deleted a bad review almost identical thinking I just had bad internet. But no. When I work on one song for a while the app starts freezing bad not letting me save progress. Then it won't let you leave without discarding your work. And even if you get out everytime you try to get into a new project it might take you back to the previous project as if you never saved it. Edit: I have to manually delete audio that auto saves taking memory. The app recently freezes conversations and lags overall.

more lessBand lab lags like no other while I’m trying to record and edit. There’s a quarter of a second of delay from when I hit a string on my guitar to when I hear it in my headphones and that can really mess you up when you’re trying to be precise. You can’t adjust the click track to be one consistent click too. There’s always an accent note and I don’t need one. I just need to know I’m keeping with the beat. I keep experiencing issues with my headphones too, but I have not yet diagnosed if that’s band lab or my brand new headphones being defective. I have ALL of my volume knobs (in the software, on my computer, and my interface) all turned all the way up and every now and then the sound I get back is barely audible despite being recorded at a reasonable volume in the first place. Hell, the bar is jumping up past yellow in some parts when I hit my bass a little too hard while recording. It’s a free useful site but it’s not without its issues. I recommend it for working on your own personal projects (like I’m doing right now) but don’t sink something special into this product. You’ll want something of a better quality at that point.

A lot of issues with the new update
more lessI’d like to begin by saying I really like your program, it’s made making my own music a reality and it’s a lot of fun to use. Recently though with the new update I’ve been having a lot of issues, one of which being that my music will play when I pause it OR the program will play a different section of the song than we’re I’m at. This has made the app a pain to use and honestly has almost stopped me from using it all together. Aside from that I feel like sections of the song will snap to the nearest beat, this is really nice but no good when I’m trying to throw stuff together to get an idea of what I want my song to sound like, maybe make this feature a toggle-able option? (I’d also like to clarify that I use a laptop not the app)

Correct criticism ⚠️🤦🏽
more lessI wanna start off by saying I love the app..😔 OK!!! So my bandLab account has been acting really funny and every time I will go to one of my tracks... I get a little message basically saying you may not have permission to view this page. Or the link you click on may have expired so I’m like🤔so I went to my settings and I found the problem I unlink the old email. And replaced it with my new email but way before I did any of that I updated the app because I thought that was the problem...🤯😳 now with all that being said I updated the app I switched the gmail‘s. But👉🏽🤚🏽 yet I go to one of my tracks and that little notification is still popping up and some of my tracks are not even loading... up and on top of that it keeps throwing me out of the app.. I’m highly disappointed I’ve been using bandLab for years I just hope this is an easy fix all I wanna do is make music in peace. ☮️ And I’m just axing for you guys to fix it and once you guys do that I will give y’all a another five star rating because I have before in the past so..🤷🏽

I’ve used this app for 3 years, and these bugs haven’t been fixed since.
more lessI’ve never wrote a review on an app before and I’m usually a positive person, but I am so sick of this app. I’ve only been using it because it’s really the only music software that a Chromebook can run. Certain glitches have never went away for me and completely ruin my mood every time I go to record. There is a delay when using the monitoring button. My vocals are always at least 3 beats late after the recording is finished. while recording, the track will pause or skip which then ruins the whole recording. There are other things that glitch as well that happen to me EVERY TIME I use this app (I just can’t remember off the top of my head because I’m so used to trying to work around them.) Basically, I don’t recommend this app. When they finally get around to fixing these bugs, this app will be great for beginners. But for now, I am counting down the days until I get my new computer so I can leave this app in the dust.

Microphone input issue
more lessAs much as I can tell, this is probably an great app for making music and all that jazz. The one major thing that not only I have encountered but other as well is the microphone input issue. Having the app on the phone, when I try to record it automatically uses the microphone built into the phone. Now I have tried to connect numerous bluetooth AND wired headphones/earbuds, I have even downloaded the app on other devices just to see if it was my phone but it DOES NOT give an option to use the headphones/earbuds I have connected when making your track. If I could attach a picture I would just to show the PLETHORA of features that the app claims to have but doesn’t show in the settings. This is overly frustrating and I have yet to record 1 song on this app due to the shortcomings of the developers not installing features that should naturally be on the app.

Everything keeps deleting, not sure what im doing wrong
more lessI love this app, everything about it is amazing, except for the fact I can’t actually save anything I create. I had no problems when I first downloaded this, but after a month of having it, half of everything I made deletes after I click the “save” button, which totally defeats the whole purpose of save. But yeah, the only thing that doesn’t get deleted is my imported soundtrack and then maybe like, 18 seconds of voice audio, the rest just disappears. I thought maybe it was my storage but I have half my memory empty and then i thought maybe i just have too many songs but i only have like 4, maybe thats too much? Would absolutely love if you guys could do anything or maybe explain what i did wrong. Anyways sorry for this long review, I just really love the app and would love to get on it again. I even recommended this app to friends! Thanks have a good day.
