  • Rigged game Mar 20, 2019

    By Laspinit
I have played this game for sometime. I would buy the .99 cent packs and watch others cheat me out of the coins . If you sit on the timer a few seconds you can almost always roll a double or exactly what you need to send the opponent packing back to home . I deleted this rigged game . People cheating once they figure out the timer . And if you write the developer they will tell you there is no way this can happen . If your smart and want to keep your blood pressure down and your sanity sane then run from this game . And if your one of the people who loves to cheat I hope a cheater out cheats you . I gave this game a one star but if I could have Id given it a 0 so take this star as for the graphics because thats all this game has is good graphics but even that isnt worth staying for . (Added after developer reply) thanks BGL for confirming my statement you say you have no control but you have hundreds telling you there is a problem and instead of trying to fix the problem with your game your going to try make out like everyone is whining over losing ???!!!!!! Its no wonder your game is a joke because you are too . I tell you what let me download the game and you meet me at a table and lets see how random the rolls are . i hope Apple gets enough bad feed on you that your crap game is removed so you guys cant continue cheating people out of their money .

...and find all the negative reviews overblown and a little ludicrous. First, it can't be "rigged" against everyone. Surely half the players are winning. I have played thousands of games, maybe tens of thousands. Some times I am the one with incredibly lucky rolls and sometimes it's my opponent. How would the game go about "choosing" a winner? And why? My record is at 45% and I have paid zero for coins; haven't spent a dime. There are problems. The probability of either player rolling a six on the first and second turns is monstrously high. This makes me think the RNG is not that random. Second, it does seem that, once the coin total gets to 60,000 there is always an "accidental" game that takes all of your coins. But that is not such a big deal either. Remember, I pay nothing and, to me, it is the same game whether I'm betting 250 or 10,000.

So far so good! I've only just installed the app and just had my first game, and I like the layout, the movement, it's a nice app! I actually downloaded it before, back in 2019, along with several other backgammon apps. After a while of playing another BG app, I thought I'd see what else is out there and I came across this! I'll leave another review soon, after I've had more time on the board... 👍🏻🎲👍🏻🎲

Once u buy dice, why can't u keep them for future use? I had 3 sets and they are gone plus all my coins...I gave 4 stars and play here simply for the best graphics of the boards....best I've seen, but lost ANOTHER set of dice yesterday! I don't have a face book account. I deleted it for personal reasons. I just wish I had the option to play as a member and not a guest....I really don't think that's fair...

I enjoy playing this game but wish there weren't so many new windows aimed at encouraging users to make purchases. I also don't like the "tip the dealer" move at the end of each game. Since when is there a dealer at backgammon? This is nothing but a thinly veiled mechanism to diminish the winner's prize so as to make it more likely that you'll purchase coins. Not happening!! I agree with the comment that says the game cheats. All too often dice rolls give results that don't appear random. It's clear that the game employs algorithms designed to influence the game in favor of one player. While I wouldn’t say the game is “rigged,” it does produce results fairly consistently in certain situations that don’t appear random. For example, markers left uncovered more than 6 spaces away from an opponent’s marker get hit with a frequency that I suspect you’d have trouble replicating with a roll of real dice. And that’s just one example of many I could give if I wished to go on.

I agree with other reviewers. The game needs a better program for the dice. The times that doubles are thrown in a row or someone gets the exact numbers for a variety of situations that either result in a win or a lost does not seem random at all. Your response is typical but doesn't negate the fact that the dice throws aren't random otherwise there wouldn't be so many complaints. You all need to go back to the drawing board.

  • Five doubles in a row for my opponent Jan 28, 2018

    By Sandman1357
Does anyone make a fair backgammon game? I just downloaded this game. Fixed rolls already wow! By the fourth game my opponent received double sixes on the second roll. Double fours on the third roll. Double ones twice. Then five more doubles in a row to swiftly win. My last three rolls were a two and one. Three times while the opponent rolled nine sets of doubles. And this was just my first ten minutes of play. And my last. Sadly as the graphics looked nice. It’s all about the making you buy coins. As soon as I Lost it sent me directly to all the buy now offers. UPDATE: Just to be fair I played a few more times. On one game when I had all the points blocked and taking them off with three of the opponents pieces on the bar he came back to hit one of my final four pieces. I got ones and twos five times in a row as that was the only two points he had blocked. He came back for an incredible win from behind. I then actually won two games and was asked to play my NEW board. The first two rolls for the opponent were double fives and sixes. He doubled and being my third roll I accepted. Wrong move as he continued to roll double after double. Fourteen doubles for the whole game. That is an impossibility unless the DICE and GAME are RIGGED. I put myself through college playing tournaments and would just like a bit of fun without such blatant cheating.

I am generally a good backgammon player but this game makes it impossible to play. I even spent money on this game, thinking maybe they just favor the people that are willing to spend money, but that was a clear mistake. How can I sit there having two openings to come on to the board on the opponents side and play 12 rounds of not rolling a single number I need to come out, But as soon as I knock an opponents peg off, And they only have one opening to come onto the board, that is exactly what they roll. I have had several games where I am ahead by quite a bit But then as we are taking them off the board my opponent always seems to roll multiple doubles to win the game. I even entered a tournament, where my coins got taken from me but I never was able to play a game, it just popped up saying “You Lost”. Another trick they do... I have had several games where I have been way ahead and was obviously going to win and all of the sudden it pops up saying no Internet connection, even though my Wi-Fi strength is just fine, then it says “You Lost”. I am sick of unfair games, I just wanted to play against real people instead of computers but that was a big mistake. I don’t like playing with cheaters but I especially don’t like playing a game that is rigged. Do not spend your money on this app. I will be uninstalling it now!!! 😡

If you are an experienced backgammon player, this game is a total waste of your time. Aside from the obvious bogus “lures” like “double your winnings or nothing”- and - a multitude of ways that the game tries to get you to purchase coins....the dice are totally rigged against the pre-determined player that’s going to lose and the number of repeat doubles that can occur is laughable. It is difficult to believe that any real skill enters into this and frankly if you look at some people’s (I assume they’re all human.) level & coins, but lackluster win rate, one has to seriously wonder. However the most annoying aspect of this game is when you’ve built up your coin count to a good level and all of a sudden the board scrolls to the higher end games with the absolute certainty that it’s going to freeze on and initiate a game that you absolutely do not want to play. Of course once the room has been “chosen”, there’s no way to back out! This is infuriating! I’ve actually won a lot of those games, but if not, you’re forced to build up your stash from scratch. Having said all of this, the game is fun to play to the point of addiction and it’s a hoot to play with people from all over the world - but I’m tired off having to “rebuild” when it’s through no fault of my own or my ability.

My only complaint is that, from time to time, the game will freeze up when I am going to roll, or have rolled and the timer goes off and I lose. In one game, I had 4K in the game and I was killing my opponent. So, if the game is going to freeze up, so should the timer. Otherwise, I love this game!

Very well thought app. The perks of points and number of wins give an extremely useful tool to measure how you are doing. A great database of players, no waiting. I am totally hooked. Things to improve: 1 - The ranking of players is incomprehensible. No matter how much you play or how you perform, your ranking does not seem to follow. 2 - when you are challenged to a double, the request fills the screen so you can't see your screen and the game to decide whenever you accept the double challenge or not. 3 - The default first move is always to the highest dice. The option of moving on the lowest dice first should be made easily available. 4 - there should be a way of pausing the game - while protecting it from abuse - as unavailability for a few seconds makes you lose too fast. This is too stressful for what is still a board game. 5 - When à player suddenly quits the game, he/she loses all the bet plus double or triple points if that is the then course of the game. However, the winning player does not get these additional winning points. Where does the difference go. The administrator should stop eating up all those points lost by a player but not allowed to be gained by the others You better have a good internet connection or you are s...... My favourite game app bar none.

  • Getting lucky, playing right Jun 25, 2019

    By Whinneey
It’s true that sometimes your opponent gets lucky, but it generally happens when you make the wrong move! That’s how you learn. I enjoy it. But make a foolish move and your opponent will make a lucky one in response. Seeing a lot of doubles for your opponent...you are not making the right moves! And also many doubles at the end for the person obviously ahead so you don’t have to play it out as long when the outcome has been determined. I think that aside from luck, which is a big factor, the algorithm that runs th game knows who is making wrong moves and you learn not to make certain decisions. I know I’m better that when I started.

Your daily Spin...never land anything above 500 tokens that with the above statement says it is not random. 3. The Dice...Out of all the games played opponent get 1st roll 75% of the time. And in in game play opponent gets the perfect rolls to throw stone, but when open my dice hardly EVER get the needed dice.

As much as I love playing backgammon, I have some reservations on the algorithm of this game. It is VERY obviously rigged with the “so-called” random rolls of the dice! You can pretty much predict the opponents next roll when you have a man open. Yep - they got the number they needed to get you out. Okay, whatever I can deal with that. But really does one person roll 7 doubles in one game? Come on developers... make it not SO obvious! At the end of the game sometimes an option comes up that you can “double or nothing” with your winnings - BEWARE don’t do it! You will lose 90% of the time. The graphics of the game are nice, being able to play at all the different tables is fun and I really like the options of dice to use. In conclusion, game is fun and addictive but is rigged at time. Oh well it’s just a game, right?

  • PLEASE RESPOND! Help me with my math Oct 27, 2018

Now, i have 2270 points. I play the game with 250 points bet. My opponent doubles, I accept and win the game. Supposedly +500 points. But my total becomes 2621 instead of 2770. Is it me? Or your calculator is broken? Just wanted to add- just played a game. Having 64K points and played 5K points game, doubled it, continued playing and won. Your calculator shows up 19K points ( no idea why) but when i go back to lobby I see only 69K my total points, where i should’ve had at least +10K and a total of at least 74K points . Please explain what is going on??? Just strange - when i need points you sell them to me, when i win points you do not give them. Would really like to hear the explanation.

  • Dice are definitely rigged Feb 6, 2020

    By bduerr
I was hoping for a decent online backgammon game where I could hone my gaming skills with all sorts of players. Instead I found a game where like others have said, the system is programmed to force you into buying more chips. There are days it seems the game is fair and I will win and lose as normal. And other days where the dice are doing everything they can to force me lose. You can’t play someone who’s rolling several doubles in one game. By several, I mean six to ten sets. I started counting because it was getting so obnoxious. This happened tonight four games in a row. How can you play against that? You can’t. All I want is a fair game and this program is not it.

  • Careful with your coins! Apr 25, 2018

    By Atlanta 19736392
Seems like this app is all about the coins. How to get them and how fast you lose them. You need to wade your way thru several pop ups that are either selling you coins or taking them before being able to play. Once you get to a game it feels rigged, sometimes for you but usually against you. The rolls are very biased - who rolls double 5 twice in three turns?? I’ve played at least ten games in a row where the opening roll was 6/2 - really?? That said it can be fun to play. Just be sure not to leave the app open. The slightest touch and you’ve lost at a large bet game without even knowing.

They tell you it's fair dice. That may be so, however, the programming is a whole different matter. So in the end, it's all about making money so either stop playing or be prepared to have a few minutes of your day ruined from being totally pissed off after constantly loosing because it's That time in the programming to liquidate your winnings. On top of that, you have All the Shmucks that piss you off by disconnecting or using up all the time on the clock for Every move!

Amazing how rigged game is. Laughable. FYI. If you complain or give a bad review you will then lose future games. Is there a fair game out there. So far no. Amazing though you claim that you don’t control the days and the game is not rigged in anyway. Yes I have complained and sent emails oddly though since I’ve complained I can’t seem to win games yes occasionally I do but this game is so rigged. every reviews says the game is rigged every review thinks that you control the dice. Fix you game. Seriously ROFLAO At how big the game is. I read a review that somebody actually supports the game and doesn’t think it’s rigged how do you get people to make false compliments do not play this game the only reason I continue to play as I think it’s actually funny how many times I lose two people who happen to get exactly what they need or double me when they’re losing weight even double me twice before I even have a chance to ask them to double laughable

  • Don’t buy coins Aug 19, 2019

    By bbaacckkggaammoonn
The rolls ARE rigged. The developers may be accurate when they say the number of doubles is equal for all players. But, they have rigged doubles so they hit when they are bad for you or when the game is already mathematically over. They have also rigged it so getting in off the bar is far less likely than a random roll distribution. Finally, your opponent will get way more than his/her fair share of hits on your single stones and vice versa. Expect to get hit more than 50% of the time, rather than just over 1/3 of the time and expect to hit your opponent less than 1/4 of the time. I suspect many opponents are computerized and not real people. Bottom line, the game graphics are great, but if you buy coins, the game will drain you with bad rolls and via the house take on all your wins. So don’t buy coins, take advantage of the bonuses and play on the low value tables.

It is a good Backgammon game. But with most of the players having less than 50% wins what does that tell you? I have played Backgammon for years and the game constantly gives your opponent way many more sets of doubles than they would get in real life. It makes you very angry that you wasted your time playing one game after another and lose lose lose. I’ve had many games where your opponent has got several sets of doubles and you get none. What a waste of your valuable time. Complaints about it go unheeded. I would not spend a dime on this game when they won’t fix the problems and not waste your time playing it. I just played a game and lost because the game gave my opponent 4 sets of double threes and 1 set of double fours. That would be impossible in a non computer generated game. They claim they use a random number generator. That is pure crap. Don't waste your time playing thus game. Stay away! What's funny is the developers pay Zero attention to all the valid negative comments and neither dies the players who either don't believe it or are just ignorant.
