I purchased back in April, it started out great, the content was easy to follow and helpful. Then i got down to the portion where you speak into the device and the app would crash. When it did crash i would have to start over from the beginning. Contacted support on April 16th and never recieved a reply. They continue to send me monthly newsletters though. Overall the content is good, but no support.

The app and the structure of learning is great! My only minor complaint is that my wife (Indonesian, which is the language I am studying) tells me that in every day conversations you would never be this formal. So I am having to reconcile what I learn on Babbel with how she talks when we practice together. But I imagine most casual learners won't have that issue!

I think this is a good app. You can do as many or as little lessons you want to do. Then there's a review at the end, I usually leave the review to do the next day to see how well I remembered the previous lesson. The verbs are better explained but I wish there was a place where I could re-read all the verbs I've learnt so far. You can go through past lessons but that means repeating them. Overall though I am enjoying learning a language through this app.

Really enjoy this app. Been subscribed to it for a while now and has really helped with my Spanish, especially writing! Couple of nags. With the listening exercises, maybe introduce a feature to slow the speaking down, so you can pick up each word. Sometimes its difficult to understand. With the reviews, maybe have a chance to correct yourself, rather than it being wrong straight away. Sometimes you are wrong by only a letter, though you actually know the word. Listening review is very easy too

Very good... but! I like the learning curve on of this app, the humour of some dialogues, the useful additional notes, and especially the fact that it breaks down the verbs and sets them out clearly. I'm not so keen on the audio interpretation of spoken responses. Sometimes misspoken answers are accepted whereas clearly pronounced, straightforward replies are repeatedly misunderstood. Very frustrating at times. All in all a great app which I'm sure will help me revise and improve my French.

I'm very disappointed with this app! With WiFi or Mobile data, this app have problem about speech recoginition. I checked everything on settings and microphone but it just won't recognize my voice on the speaking part. Paid for 1 year subscription and been using this app before, that went pretty good. So many people are complaining about this. Already sent an email 3 months ago but nothing happened. Please give us satisfaction. So frustrating!!!

The content is good but there's room for improvement. It would be a 5 star app if when I speak, it actually could recognise when I'm saying the phrase correctly. If I don't match the exact tone, it doesn't recognise it as correct, and sometimes I say the phrase perfectly and match the tone but it still doesn't seem to think it's correct. It's infuriating when I keep having to redo it. I have asked some of my native French friends to confirm and it doesn't seem to think they're correct either.

I am disappointed, i understand why the app would cost money however just include that in the price of the app or in the add. Many people can't afford monthly subscriptions so the fact that it isn't included is very disappointing and frustrating since alot of people probably just wasted their time on this. I don't know if this app itself is any good but if you can't afford this I'd recommend "busuu".

The app is terrible. I'm using it to learn Spanish. The voice barely recognizes you and has a delay. After the introduction it becomes ridiculously difficult as a beginner. They throw on a bunch of different grammar sentences without explaining anything. They throw a bunch of useless vocabulary that you would never use for random regions, instead of words that would actually be helpful. I've used multiple apps and this is by far the most frustrating and difficult.

I like it so far, it's really cool, but I want to do a few lessons before I think about actually subscribing to it. I just don't like that you get one lesson for each course and there are only 2 courses I can really do right now. I think there should at least have 1 or 2 more lessons in that course that you can complete without having to subscribe right away, or at most one whole course before they ask you to subscribe to do the rest.

I am enjoying learning Swedish. The format of the lesson are helpful. I like learning commonly used simple phrases in Swedish. The breakdown of the verbs after learning the shorts phrases works well and before I knew the short phrases has more content added and you I on lesson 4 and excited to keep practicing. I have Babbel on my phone and my computer. I walk along practising the phrases and Babbel corrects my pronunciation. Cool.

Best language app I've tried! I've tried several language apps and I think this is the most comprehensive. Each section is set up for you to learn new vocabulary through different tasks - getting you to hear, read, write and it. The modules start off easy, gradually getting more difficult to help solidify the new words and phrases. Only negative - I'm not too keen on the voices - they sound very robotic and unnatural.

I just love this app. Definitely, the best language app so far for me. It's so easy to spot the difference and also progress after just few lessons. Learning with Babbel makes me confident in speaking due to very different and enjoyable exercises. I'm so glad to discover this app and undoubtedly recommend for everyone, especially if you begin a beautiful journey with new language.

I really like this app and the various learning styles available for review! It's very engaging... i would FLY through 4 hours at a time and didn't even know it! I've been able to keep at about 45-60 mins 5 days a week and, at the very least, the daily review on the other 2 days.

Great learning app. The lessons (so long as you're taking notes) are good for learning language. The lesson plan reminds me of when I would learn in school. The UI is a little finicky. Sometimes the speaking portion freezes up and doesnt comprehend that I'm speaking. Kinda wonky and gotta restart the app at that point. But overall a good teacher.

It's good, but theres a problem with the keyboard in French. The app provides its own keyboard and there is no apostrophe, only a comma, strangely enough, and the apostrophe is needed to get some of the questions right. Other than that it's great so far, but this is a bug that needs fixing to give a realistic representation of how well you're doing.
