• Great game but needs some work Nov 1, 2020

By grimgal6
I absolutely love this game, I’m playing it constantly throughout the day when I have free time. In the beginning levels it was a breeze and as the levels increase so does the difficulty. Now this is where my complaint comes in, I do not mind a challenge but there are points in this game that I honestly think they give decks that are unwinnable. When I start a game and get half way through my deck of cards before I can make a move, when I start a level and can tell straight away that I’m not gonna win a level. It’s not that just a challenge either, I think it may be a ploy to get you to use power ups in order to buy coins. But this frustrates me, every level offered should be winnable while still being challenging. I’m getting to the point of spending 15 lives on one level and as much as I love this game I’m beginning to debate keeping it on my phone.

Best Game of this kind around ! Absolutely adore this game , it's a great concept, engaging story (love that it reads to you , fully voiced characters!), Wonderful gameplay and doesn't feel like a constant money grab. Highly recommend, I can't put it down! My only suggestion or wish really is it would be really nice to customize Ava herself so she can look like you or however you want. :) <3

• I LOVE this game!!❤️❤️ Dec 13, 2020

I love this game. It has all the decorating that I love to do, but with card games instead of the normal match three. I like those games, but I was kinda getting bored of them. So I was REALLY excited when I found this game. One of my favorites definitely. I love the story and the animations are so cute. I love how you have to uncover the mystery of the past. Now I can’t say to much about it for future players, but I will say that it is awesome. I love how realistic the characters are. I have a dog, and he would totally do must of the things that Marlowe does. So good job in that. I only have one complaint and it’s not I big one. I was playing the hard level and selected the booster so I could win, (I did,) and when I started playing the other one it automatically decided that I needed to use my last booster on that one because I had wanted one last time. It’s not much, but it would be great if that could be fixed. Other than that, great game, good job, would totally recommend it.

I love this game. Some of the levels are pretty difficult, but the obvious thought that goes into the game makes it worth it. Small things like characters’ eyes moving and making facial expressions during dialogue are so appreciated! I also like that you can click on the screen where the stars appear to complete a task instead of having to go to the menu list to do so. And again, the design is really freaking pretty, I love how this game feels different from others and there is furniture and flooring/wallpaper that feels unique. so far my FAVORITE aspect has been the christmas event decorating, the christmas decorations are actually jawdropping, I didn’t expect that level of detail at all. I love the pastel colored christmas trees!! Please keep updating the game and continuing with other seasonal decorations—I’ll keep playing for sure! It’s my favorite level-based design game. Thank you!

Wonderful story and a mysterious plot. I can barely wait to find out who-done-it! The solitaire is fun and challenging. The characters are fun and likeable. The only complaint I have are the prices to buy coins. $4.99 was cool. $9.99 was like ok, I can spend a 10 for some weekend entertainment. Now it has jumped to $14.99 if this is going to keep jumping in $5 increments, you can count me out. Unless a sale comes along making the piggy bank affordable you will not be seeing anymore of my mola

• Card face changing! Oct 6, 2020

By Hawk1944
All in all great game/ except one thing, you have deliberately made one section way too hard to finish and that is the one where the cards change faces as you play! That is entirely too much because your forcing people to purchase items in order to win, that’s not a good way to make the game! I don’t appreciate being forced to buy just for you to make money! I usually do buy items but not when I’m forced! I really shouldn’t have given you 4 stars but I did being nice. I’ve played the card face changing one about 10 times and won once, that is not right!!! Please fix and you will get more players to play, noticing you only have one other comment besides mine! Maybe no one else has complained but I tend to believe you don’t have many playing the game because of the card changing problem! Well I’ve said my say, fix please or I won’t continue to play this long.

• A little slow, flow not so good. Oct 14, 2020

I have been playing solitaire games off and on for years. This game is cute and i really want to like it but...not so fast. I find the game to be slow. Tri peaks is fast and fun. This game is slow. The power ups cost a lot and unlike many solitaire games this one does not have good flow. What i mean by that is at times it seems almost impossible to pass levels...not even the hard ones. You get 5 lives and (even on low levels) and you never get the cards you need to pass a level. The pace is slow, the cards never come, power ups cost way too much and although the game is cute, i hate when characters have to take phone calls, look under a bed etc. It adds to the slow pace to add to the slow cards. Not sure it’s worth it. In the end, it all adds up to money and how much you are willing to spend. That is my opinion.

This game is unique however the girl Ava looks kinda creepy and this game is difficult. I understand a bit of difficulty but around level 75 I started loosing a lot of life's. I'm done this game was fun but when you loose 5 lives and only complete one game then it's a bit too difficult. I will be deleting this game from my phone. However I do absolutely adore the dog

I started out loving this game—good intriguing storyline, fun design options, and I really liked the characters—but the levels quickly become practically impossible to win without level ups (this is not an ego- or frustration-related complaint, just an observation based on patterns I see within the decks), coins and boosters are nearly impossible to accrue without in-app purchases, and it just takes the fun out of the game way too quickly. For reference, I’m currently on level 1605 of another, very similar game (with a 60+ stockpile of each booster type), and I’m throwing in the towel on this at level 131 (and zero boosters). I’m bummed, because I really would’ve loved to see where this game went, but it’s simply not worth my time or my money. The irony is, if they’d have made this game more playable, they would’ve sucked me in enough to shell out for some in-app purchases.

Terrible, the "hard" levels are only hard because they don't allow you to get any cards you need. I have 12+ down cards left and only needed to match one for the win, and it gave like six 8's in a row and no cards I could actually use. You are only allowed to win when the game wants you to or you spend lots of money on it.

I did not expect to enjoy this game as much as I am. I have always loved playing Solitaire, but Ava's Manor includes a story w/her adorable companion. There's mystery, suspense, and interior decorating for fun. Another fun fact is an ability of joining Teams at a certain, or starting your own. Initially I joined, but I started a new Team today named #SOWL Hearts. If you are downloading this app, please be one of my Hearts to assist Ava, and then let's win together!!! #ShoutOutWithLove 💜

So far so good, the story is good and submersive, its voiced over and creates a mood. the graphics are nice and there is alot to do. The levels are hard but i like that i can earn coins even on levels i dont pass, and the levels are random not rigged so with luck all are passed. There are teams to join for lives and chat, all and all a good time :)

• Love it, but... Sep 29, 2020

Great game! I love the story, the actual voices, the fact that the furniture and accessories actually complement each other, and the graphics! It’s a tad glitchy with the voices; It started with just not being able to hear Marlowe, and now, it seems I can no longer hear anyone at all, except Ava. I agree with other reviewers that there should be a daily task or some easier way(s) to earn coins, that the hard/super hard levels should give extra stars, and that we should be rewarded for having leftover cards. You have to make money, too — we get it! But I’m sure that you’d have more people playing (and *then* maybe paying) if you facilitate playing the game a bit more, instead of the “Pay us! Pay us! Pay us!” approach... I’m just sayin’ - - read the room! There’s still a pandemic, and most of us are still spending more time on our devices than ever. Help us out!

• Awesome game!! But needs slight changes Oct 27, 2020

By KassiJae
I absolutely love this game. Mystery stories are my fave and even getting to renovate is too! I’m glad I got to find a game that doesn’t deal with matching like candy crush. But the only thing(s) that NEEDS to change is that treasure chest. It’s not fair that the boosts/bonuses cost so much coins but then it’s hoarded into a treasure chest that we have to constantly pay for out of our own pocket. So that really needs to go.. There’s also no daily bonuses, we should at least get extra coinage or even a limited supply of lives for a few minutes everyday that we play. It gets depressing how quickly the lives are lost and you have to wait so long to fill back up. But other than that it’s an amazing game. Just hope these slight problems can change soon before I end up losing interest

• Well made but typical cash grab Feb 2, 2021

The game is good and unique take on house fix-up type games. The story is well written and the voice acting is good. However, I think the dev’s go above what I’ve seen in similar games in terms of micro-transactions. For instance, at least one of the events requires you to use extra cards, which requires coins. But you don’t receive enough coins through gameplay to accomplish this, and while I haven’t completed the event to confirm, I’d wager that you don’t get an equal turn for throwing away all those coins. Also, I feel many levels are blatantly unbeatable at times, further selling you on buying coins. That said, you can progress through the game without buying anything if you are patient Good game, but annoying pop-ups and overly aggressive micro-transaction tactics.

Story and graphics are nice. Enjoy that it is voiced. Many times you lose because you get the same card multiple times from pulling. (Example: 3 cards left to match, 7 cards can be pulled. Pulled 9,9,9,K,A,K and 3. Cards left were 4,5 and 7.) Happens multiple times, especially on super hard/ hard levels. Eventually you win the level randomly after many lives.

I paid for something with my google play money once, and now I no longer have the option to watch ads to earn in-game money. I think that's quite dishonest. Also, some of the higher levels are too hard to enjoy. You need to get the cards out multiple times, or a posion card steals 3 cards from your deck, or you need a key to unlock a card. You need to beat three levels to advance the story, but sometimes I use all five lives on one.

• Good game but one majorly annoying part Jan 28, 2021

By Sthiele89
Overall the game is pretty fun. If you join a “team” you can send each other lives and if it wasn’t for one kind of level, it would be real easy to play without feeling like you have to pay to keep playing. My one MAJOR MAJOR criticism is the levels with the “day/night” cards. The alternate wether you can clear them are not EVERY. SINGLE. MOVE. YOU. MAKE. And it seems awfully convenient, that it’s rarely on the day cycle for you to clear it when you actually have a card you can use to clear it. I’ve had to put down the game and walk away for days/weeks and consider deleting it all together because of that ONE part. If the even made it so it alternates maybe every 2 moves that would be more reasonable than the experience breaking mechanic they have right now.

This is a fun game, but could improve. If you don't have a lot of time, play this game because you'll go through your lives quickly. Levels are hard to complete. I don't mind a challenge, but this is ridiculous. It also costs coins to undo each move, with the amount rising for each undo. Bonuses also are costly and you only get ONE. I'm usually lucky to pass ONE level with 5-7 lives available. I spend most of my time on other games.

• Way too challenging on purpose Dec 2, 2020

By jimnpak
I love solitaire and was excited to see a solitaire styled remodeling/story game. However it became very apparent early on that this gave is designed for you to lose unless you spend money on boosters. I don’t expect to win every level with ease but it’s obvious when the decks are inherently designed to fail. There’s no reason why a game has to be THAT challenging especially that early on in the levels. Instead of wanting to spend money, it makes me want to delete the app instead. That’s too bad because i’m enjoying the mysterious storyline and I like the house designs. But my progress is just moving too slow and it’s frustrating to lose repeatedly when it’s not my skill level at play but the faulty deck.

• Tired of these games Nov 13, 2020

I play a lot of these type of games, and I have to say there is one thing about them that the developers always mess up; assuming that by making the games hard, we’ll spend a bunch of money on hints & help. This is wrong for one reason: most of us get into a game for the storyline. The games being difficult is just frustrating, not motivating. And frustrated people delete games, they don’t spend money on them. Like me. A tip to the developers: if you want to keep people who will spend money, try making the games just a slight obstacle, and make people spend money to push the storyline along. It would have definitely gotten my money. Oh, and the greedy trick of using up stars on filler goals? Also a big turn-off. I had high hopes for this game, but in the end, it’s just another game I’ll play for a day & then delete

I got this game to remodel rooms, which you've made difficult enough to earn stars. Now you've completely removed the stars and the ability to remodel and replaced it with earning champion cups...whatever that means??? I thought it was just a few days but after the few days it started over again. Now it's just a waste of time losing over and over to win every 10th time to earn nothing.

The other game so much like this (Lily’s Garden) is a match three game where you can see the layout and strategize your gameplay. This game, which has gorgeous graphics and appealing characters, is based on blind luck and whether the game decides to give you a winning board. Like so many other reviewers have noted, you can be halfway through a deck before you can make a play. It’s tiresome, and I’ve only been playing less than a week! UPDATE: I’ve spent time reading so many other negative reviews which all share my complaint. I’m on level 4000+ in another similar game with a stockpile of boosters (that game developer understands how loyal their players will be if they give away coins and boosters); I’ve made it to level 140 in this game and win approximately 1 out of 8 layouts. So tiresome. Have deleted after 10 days.
