Works fine, BUT: I'd love to be able to access groups from the app. Also it'd be useful to see the postage costs for items without having to keep flicking back to the eBay app. It can get a bit confusing when you've got a lot of targets on the go. This is a good app, but could be even better.

Ebay Cost Control
This is a great app to snipe, the act of putting in a higher bid in the last few seconds in the hopes that no one can put in one later than your bid. It works for the very well. It also lets you creat bid groups. This is a VERY powerful feature that groups all bids for items you want to bid on, but only win a fixed number. For example, buying an iPad, and there are 12 available. Here, you set the max bid on each item you are willing to bid, and then group them. Then say how many you want. Say two. Auction sniper will keep bidding at the last moment until you have won two, and then toss out the rest. Because you have not ever bid on the others, no fear of winning too many. Lastly, Auction Sniper let's you set your maximum bid way in advance (plus a few bids over if close as an option) and then you look away. It helps YOU not spend more than you wanted because the item keeps getting bid up. You don't get sucked into a bidding war. It also tends to lower the price because there are no early on bidding wars by you upping the price. I highly recommend this for all three reasons, but the last reason is my favorite. -
Edit ~ app specific review at bottom!... deducting x1 star. Firstly, I LOVE Auction Sniper - there's no way i'dv won most of the auctions that I have without this awesome service. The process is simple & refined* with fees that are very reasonable (mere pennies on most things). Tip; always use the "second shot" bid increase option!... this feature has saved me from my own stinginess many times - whoever came up with that idea deserves a promotion. * Now regarding the mobile app: I'm glad to have it.... but it needs work. I understand there's only so much that'll fit on a 5" smartphone screen, but the versatility factor is VASTLY lacking compared to having an Auction Sniper tab open next to an eBay tab on a laptop or tablet. I still recommend downloading the app, because it's a quick & easy way to win auctions... especially in conjunction with the eBay app. Hopefully tweaks will be implemented to improve the app... but as is in "no frills" form it gets the job done.

Bids still fire as designed; GUI needs work
I first used AS right at its infancy—where bid-based auctions were plentiful, seller’s & PP fees were cheap, and those that understood bidding were handsomely rewarded. The auction site today is the antithesis of it’s original self. Stated-price (or BuyNow) formats appear to dominate the high-traffic categories and the speciality/rare items continue as they have. It’s been well over a year since AS was updated and the most noticeable issue is its non-conformity with the mega-sized device generation, followed by the broken Bid Category feature (that cancels other auctions once one is won) that perhaps only a few use. That being said, the app still works as confirmed this morning. It isn’t visually appealing and browsing auctions via its interface is on a YMMV basis, but it still does work and given the incredibly cheap fees it provides great value. As a primarily free site I suspect this is more of a hobby to the developer than a commercial interest but I wanted to write this review to ensure he/she was aware that it still provides value to me at least. -
I have use the website for years and it has always worked spot on time. I only just now installed the Ap. Easy to use as well.

Been a fan of this company for ages & the app works flawlessly! Great app, great design, and excellent company! Just won another eBay item while I was catching some Zz! Can't beat that!

Legit App / Sorta $$$
I have never had an issue with losing an auction due to app malfunction. Seems like I’m always adding $ to my account. I don’t understand what the unpaid balance is, I always add 10 or 20 $ and once I go through that amount there is also an “unpaid” balance- it’s like, I swear they are just finding a way to charge extra. Seems like if I add $10 then that’s how much money I should have to use in there app, when I am down to $0 I should add more. But once I finish my $10 there’s another balance that I have to pay before I can use the app again? It’s confusing and makes me feel like the app is trying to nickel and dime me - like be simple -
Been using this app for well over 10 years. Very affordable and reliable. I've only had 1 glitch were I missed a Snipe, but I've won enough to still make this a 5 star app!

5 star Snipes, 3 star App
Been using this for years. Love it for what it is, but let’s be honest, the app is merely fine. It’s functional but far from great. Many 5 star reviews tout the bid groups that are only on the website, not in the app. There are tons of other little user interface things that could be improved in the app: like sorting snipes by time remaining instead of the order they were entered, and showing shipping cost for watches and snipes, etc. So, the sniping service is great: reliable and inexpensive. The iPhone app is ... spartan. If you’re looking for a fancy app, look elsewhere. But for me, as an infrequent user, if that’s why it’s so cheap, I wouldn’t change a thing. I can flip back and forth with the eBay app just fine, thankyouverymuch. It’s clunky but solid and works just fine. -
Works !!! Don’t need to Win to be happy with app
As long as it bids my price last few seconds provided current amount isn’t larger then the app works for me. I rely on my Apple Watch while at work to get notifications from phone. Would love if my winning bid amount would be on this app’s notification. I get a notification that I won or didn’t win. Which I enjoy both ways because if I get notification that I didn’t win it least tells me app is working. However when your high snipe bid is $100 higher then current bid would be nice to know how high it went. So would enjoy winning bid amount on notification not even eBay app notification gives you that. Also if you could do a Apple Watch app would be awesome. eBay removed their official eBay app from watch years ago and left a huge void. If you had a function snipe app on the apple watch would be huge. Oh you owe me 3 free snipes. When i setup you placed a “y” before my email address and when I changed it to right address- the “y” I didn’t get my 3 free snipes. -
Disappearing credits / money grab!
The app worked great for sniping, but after paying for credits at $5 minimum, the credit disappeared after app update. No response from company email. Money grab! Also, the support page doesn’t work and the help email isn’t monitored. Good luck getting anything resolved even though a response was posted here from the company. ****October 2019 Update - the app developer provided a new email contact and corrected the balance issue. Since then I have been able to successfully use the app as before. Upgraded review to 4 stars, thanks for clearing this up. **** -
Actually 3 1/2 Stars
I would give it 5 stars but for one thing. I have to stand my iPad up on it’s head in order to use it. While the portrait view works fine for a phone, most iPad users operate in Landscape mode. Almost all iPad protective cases provide a way to stand the iPad up in Landscape only, making it convenient for setting it up on table, or on a book in your lap, etc. How hard could it be? All my other apps do it..at least the ones I use. But so far, the app hasn’t caused me to lose any auctions. Yay for that!
