Whole library of artscroll gemaras available in Hebrew and English. Rambam and Tanach. Essentials for learning anywhere.
  • Great App, please add hyperlinks to every reference Mar 18, 2020

    By CXS1
Please add hyperlinks to as many of the references as you can in the Hebrew and English parts, including the notes. I love the ability to click on the references in the notes. Please add hyperlinks to all references to other commentators in the notes to Chumash, Rashi, Tosfos, Mishna Berurah, Rishonim, Achronim, etc.. This will make your product unique and a must-have product. Thanks for helping us all take our learning to the next level. Also, as someone whose spent approximately $1,500 to buy the paper copy of the ArtScroll Shas and Mishna, it’s hard to justify spending more money on the electronic version. Is there a way I can show you that I own the paper copy and you can give me access to the electronic version of what I already purchased. Thanks in advance for saying yes.

Hello. I use this app daily, however, the learning program feature is still missing from the Android app. Can someone please add it soon? Thank you.

This is a wonderful app. However it has many issues the developers simply won't fix. When downloading volumes you get an odd error with a series of letters. Wren queried they blamed Apple. No, this is ridiculous. Every other app fixes their bugs to work with Apple's system. Then they never update the base files with updates. So if you have to download again for whatever reason you get the base files from years ago and thousands and thousands of updates that have to run. Much better would be to update the base files every couple of years to avoid the hours it takes to download again. Finally the most recent version puts the dedication line at the top of each page and even worse it changes up and back which is very distracting when learning.

A high quality program. Able to add samples or full libraries. The siddur automatically inserts or removes for days and seasons. When I need to transfer apps to my new phone it put all of my settings and downloaded my library on its own. The primer for there iPad with a full Library. This makes evident they have well-trained people making their programs. Thank you ArtScroll

This is the best siddur app I've used and I'm glad I "splurged" to buy it to replace my free ones, but it takes a long time to load every time I open it and the scrolling is very choppy, making a bit challenging to follow when I'm reading longer sections. Anything to speed it up would be appreciated (iPhone 6 user).

Update: Originally Gemara bought did not appear in app Library after I purchased it on website. After I emailed them my problem they did fix it. HOWEVER, they told me that the reason I had download problems is because I opened two Artscroll accounts on the same device. That shouldn't be a problem in 2020. I find the website and app very outdated and hard to navigate. Orthodox Jews have internet asifas(gatherings) at MetLife stadium where they talk about how the internet is traife.

Hi I have the fully loaded iPad from artscroll & here are my thoughts. The content is great, but the app needs to be revamped. It’s VERY slow and it has a really old look. Updates for the books are super annoying, as it takes forever & needs to be done often. The English books have many typos - quite surprising for ArtScroll. I wish they had the Chumash rashi translated and a sefardi Siddur. All in all, very useful app that has great potential, but currently not a finished product at all, so I’m not sure why it’s at that price point.

Works very well. Only issue is that on android tablet with a touchpad and no touch screen, requires a tap-tap-and-swipe to scroll. Better would be a hotspot that could be clicked, or spacebar should go forward, backspace to go back, or some other option. It would also be nice it it would read the english to me through the android speech synthesizer so that I could listen in the car

I love the app, I hope more Hebrew volumes are released soon, but the hyperlinks that suggest to buy other volumes and safarim really disturb the learning, you should replace it with pop up boxes, and maybe in the box add a link to purchase, otherwise it feels like you are targeting me with ads while learning with a paid version.

Hello Artscroll!!! Your app hasn't worked for the last three days! I bought two books on it, and I can't find them. After two days of a blank screen I see the donated Psalms, but I still don't see the books I bought; and I can't use the donated Psalms like the Tanach I bought. When it works, I like the app; but I keep calling and leaving messages and writing emails. I keep leaving my contact number, but nobody calls. I wouldn't mind you not calling me, if you'd answered your phone.

I feel bad leaving a bad review, but I think artscroll needs to revamp this app. Constant problems with pages and store not loading. My learning partner also keeps having to stop and redownload the page. I would blame my web filter, but my partner doesn't have a filter and he has issues too.

Because it has been almost a year and a half since ArtScroll came out, it is very very tiring to hear "we are working on it" The app crashes several times a session. Yellow highlight disappears, needing to close app and reopen, sometimes several times. Claiming that you do not need internet once downloaded, many times, a window opens up, not letting you to continue, because, something related to internet is causing it not to open. An excellent tool for learning, but enough excuses. New update. when it crashes, it now crashes and shuts down the iPad itself. Also, when you advance the text, it stopped automatically advancing when you reach border. Great!!! Every update 2 steps backwards.

  • It’s buggy... but Jul 25, 2018

    By ob7dev
It keeps autoscrolling to end of tractate but should not if you are coming from the introduction. Sefaria is free without the glitches, I paid over $600 for Babylonia then a 300 iPhone to read it on yet it’s buggy. Nevertheless, the ArtScroll version has helpers that make it better than Sefaria, so ArtScroll continues to be my preference.

This app is excellent when purchasing the shas to your library. It’s amazing to have all of shas including a robust search engine at your finger tips! The pages are crisp and clear and the format is simple to use and very accessible. I highly recommend!

I am so impressed with this app. I purchased the smart Siddur. It allowed me to program in my zip code and female status and it customized the Siddur for me. e.g., tonight I went to bentch and a little message popped up asking me if I finished eating after 8:05pm so that it could know whether to show the addition for Rosh Chodesh. The Hebrew and English are crisp and clear font. Used it daily for months and it's enriched and deepened my davening and I've actually grown as a result.

  • Wonderful App that will only get better. Aug 6, 2012

    By Ira Grossman
As a Baal Teshuva, I plan to use the iPad version of the Artscroll Talmud for Daf Yomi. It is a wonderful App that will only get better with each update. I have used the Rusty Brick Siddur since it first came out for the iPhone I have been impressed how they have continually improved the Siddur. I expect this will be the same for the Artscroll Talmud. With iPad version I can study Gamara anywhere, on the way to work, at the office during lunch, at home or at Shul. I highly recommend this App. For all the technology advances that Rusty Brick and Artscroll included in the App, I feel the price is reasonable. The Notes section both as a Window and below the English/Hebrew text is unstable and buggy. It skips around. It is difficult to recall the note after it leaves the screen. The Notes feature needs work.
  • Great app, still needs work Jul 30, 2012

    By Shueym
Got the app right when it came out, and I've been playing around with it for a few days now. This really is a great thing, and I see how this will revolutionize learning the daf in our digital age. The features are quite useful, and make learning an interactive experience. However, this app still needs work. It still freezes and crashes a little too often, and overall performance needs to be faster. I'm sure these issues will be solved in future updates, so as for now, great job artscroll!

Having used the siddur for a while, I am annoyed by the tendency for the scrolling to freeze when going to the next section. Also the dedication bar and another navigation bar take up precious space on my phone. You can remove these bars by pressing the X, but they return when you go to the next section. Very annoying.
