  • Far From Perfect but Still the Best Jan 11, 2021

When paired with the Anglr Bullseye, this is the best app for logging fish. I use it every time I fish and, for the most part, it lets me log catches without getting in my way. That being said, it’s far from perfect. Data analysis is truly dismal compared to other logging apps. It crashes at least once per trip. The Bullseye doesn’t always connect. You can’t really enter past trips or catches because it won’t save changes you make to the date. The BackTrack function is awful at identifying pictures with fish in it. It’s awkward to use if your using two rods. And in some cases the virtual tackle box is limiting (it lets you enter the bait you're using, but you have to make a separate entry each time you put that bait on a different rig). It’s good for showing where you catch fish. But it won’t show you where you don’t; and seeing where your wasting your time is crucial information. If you don’t mind finding trends yourself, then this is a fine app. I use the data points to make concentration maps for ponds and river banks. But it would be really nice if it did something with all the data it collects, rather than just mindlessly present it to you. It’s great as a trophy case, but falls short if your trying to step up your game. That being said, what it lacks in functionality, it makes up for in potential.

First thing I’d like to mention is how much this app improves EVERY month. They are constantly making it better. With that said, this app isn’t perfect, but it’s the closest I’ve found to the type of fishing app I’ve always dreamed of. It’s all my fishing in one place. Unlike other apps, ANGLR uses my personal data to help me improve. It makes tracking my fishing simple and easy by bringing in water and weather conditions automatically when I log catches. Their waypoint management features are incredible. You have to check it out on web. I can explore new lakes I want to fish and drop waypoints on the app and plan my attack before I go. After I record my day on the water, I can quickly pull up and edit catches, and review my trips. Every trip gets its own profile. The conditions tab is money! You can quickly see patterns and trends for next time. I don’t use the tackle feature much. Just jot down in notes on catches. I am planning on grabbing one of the Bullseye trackers to make it even more convenient to use app on the water. Overall, love the app and can’t wait to see what the next release improves.

  • Awesome Fishing AND Hunting Tool! Dec 5, 2019

Just wanted to say how much I enjoy Anglr and how I use it to scout duck holes. I live along the Tennessee River (Lake Guntersville). We have several Wildlife Management Areas that are popular among duck hunters; however, there are hundreds of WMA wetland acres inaccessible by duck boats. I’m an old school duck hunter, meaning I love to scout duck holes by foot if at all possible. I feel as if there is less of an impact on the ecosystem by doing so. I feel it unnecessary to need a hand held GPS system with today’s technology as everything I need is available through my cell phone and the Anglr App/Bullseye system. The beauty of the Anglr system is its simplicity. I simply start Fish Mode and input waypoints as needed. My course (log book) is automatically saved and I can go back to review my logs at any time. I find the “Play” function for each trip log entertaining as I can review exactly where I walked during my scouting trip. This system is money well spent! Thanks!

The best and ONLY app for fisherman. If you want to seamlessly log information about your day, weather information, barometric pressure, wind speed/direction, specific spots and even fish catches…… WITHOUT continually removing your phone from your pocket/storage then look no further. This company offers AnglR Tracker which is a very advanced sensor that goes on your rod that logs all of this information for you. You then can use their Web Experience App to view all of this information on your computer/iPad etc. to analyze your day and your time on the water to make better decisions for the next day on the water. Additionally…… after time using this, you can have ALL of your fishing information over a few days, weeks to a lifetime of fishing information in ONE place. A must have for the serious AnglR. Oh yeah… and they keep your information private

I really like how I can log my catches by species and location. Fairly easy to mark them in, but it can be a little cumbersome if you want to enter a lot of information. I would like to see a way to have a limited list(s) of fish to log. Right now every possible species is there. It would be much easier to have a way to use a limited number of fish for a trip. Also a way to use a certain lure (toggle on or off) as a default for your next fish. I use the same fly for a while if I’m catching. Why should I have to search for it each fish? Also it would be great to have a way to export the catch log to a spreadsheet

So much potential! Needs work though. I dont think Anglr realize how close to amazing this app is! It needs more work on the stats section, and friends section. When I click my friends I can't see the pics of there catches, or there fishing trips. This app is good, but it really could be epic with some updates.

Downloaded the app and created an account. Forgot my password and have not been able to get the reset password function to work. So the app is no longer available to use. Updated... After contacting support I was able to reset my password and start using the app. It is an ok app. It is nice to be able to go back and see where you caught fish. If you spend some time setting the app up you can also track what you used to catch the fish. I also purchased the bullseye button. It is also ok. You can mark a catch or way point without going to the phone. But if you want to indicate size, species or lure info you still need to use the phone to input that info. Unfortunately I fish from a kayak and don’t have access to an iPhone charger. The app eats up the battery of my iPhone 7 at a pretty fast rate. I may get 2 hours of tracking time. Not much more. Definitely not going to track a full day of fishing.

Installed around the beginning of 2020. I did my first trip to try it out. On the web, it was showing zero time even though it showed the whole trip. I took a look at the phone and it was showing that it was still recording even though I had stopped it at the lake. When I stopped it again, it added the distance back to my house in a straight line; it obviously had not really been recording after leaving the lake. I am absolutely positive I stopped the recording and said Yes to end trip at the lake. Absolutely sure, because I waited to see if I would also have to name it and save it like Strava. Before I stopped it again on the phone, it did show the whole trip on the web with no extra distance logged. So I was hoping to edit the trip, like I can in the sports logging app I was using before, to remove the erroneous part. I can't do that, or at least I can't find it. My phone battery went from 97% to 3% while using the app. I have a Motorola with high battery life, one of my priorities when picking it. Most days it only uses 30% or so. It's often above 70% at the end of the night after taking it off the charger at 5:30 that morning. If I watch a movie, it might get below 50%. Yesterday was the first time I have seen it in the single digits ever. I had the screen off all day. One of the things I really wanted to see was my speed while paddling to troll. I don't see that anywhere. I don't see how to position at a certain point in time other than replay, which is pretty painful for a 7 hour trip. My gear is not appearing on the web, but is in the app. I am very disappointed.
  • Cannot Edit Enough Post Trip May 22, 2019

    By Jewcoob
I love the detail and potential of this app but it’s falling short for me. You cannot edit water details manually and you cannot edit them after a trip is complete. You have to select a USGS gauge pre-trip and that data is not always accurate for the water you are fishing not does it always contain water temperature. I have also yet to be able to populate the ‘Gear’ details for a catch. In my opinion this should easily be done after the trip is complete but you cannot do this. I’ve been populating the ‘Notes’ section with water temp and gear information but this data does not play into the overall stats that are tracked so it’s not very useful there.
  • Latest Version Problem Oct 14, 2019

    By Bombilla42
First, I like this app. I liked it so much that I went out and bought the Tracker and use it all the time - EXCEPT NOW!! For some reason the latest version of this app (released 6 days ago) will not open on my iPhone. Yes, I’m running the current iOS. Yes, I’m a subscriber. I’m going salmon fishing tomorrow morning and was opening Anglr to setup a new trip. But NOooooo.... I guess I’ll just have to leave my expensive Tracker at home. Oh... and for the love of Pete: someone over there add an entry for surf perch! It’s the most common saltwater fare fished for along the beaches of Oregon and Washington (and probably CA, but they don’t count j/k).
  • Doesn’t work for me. Feb 10, 2019

    By cdvfishing
First I had high expectations of being able to record my fishing trips. I have had issues from the start. 😕. I may not have setup correctly or something. It won’t end a trip stAys running even after responding to the confirm end trip with yes. I bought my the 30$ Bulls eye. It will mark things But the app doesn’t find water at the lake. Fonds three at my house at a small river but not what where there are lakes on the same rivers. I started several trips to test. Then go and delete them. Go back later and they are still there. So I have deleted the app and will re-install and start over. I hope I can get it to work. Update: reinstalled and starting over. Was able to start and stop a trip but for ably a few minutes. Will see how it goes after a longer trip. At a real lake where I live. I will up date the rating then. I really want this app to work v
  • App works but constantly... Sep 19, 2018

    By s1rGr1nG0
Asks to turn on Bluetooth. I keep Bluetooth turned off on my phone. I don’t have any Bluetooth devices at all but Anglr constantly pops up telling me to turn on Bluetooth so I can connect an Anglr device. I have no intention of doing this and all I want the app for is tracking my fishing trips. Enough with the pop ups already. I’ve already disabled all notifications from the app and it still happens. It’s annoying enough where I’m considering uninstalling for something better.
  • Great idea but poor execution. Nov 24, 2019

    By Kayakfishingworks
Have tried using this app for the past year. Great that it logs your catches and route on the lake map. But the app is buggy. Have gone through several replacements of the Bullseye device that continue to fail with minimal use and no abuse. Cannot edit water temp data if the gage does not provide it. Editing catches is cumbersome. Would write more but feel I have wasted enough time with this. Do not understand all the good reviews and am now looking for something else.
  • Disappointed Jan 19, 2019

I really wanted to like this app because of the Bullseye features. Received the Bullseye but it didn’t work from the onset. Followed all of the instructions multiple times. Contacted support and received an email that suggested I do what I had already told them I had done. So far, I am not impressed. I asked how I could get better faster support but no reply so far. If they fix this and it all works I will update the review.

I’ve been a web developer for years. I know how to create these log in pages and if I can’t get in after 20-30 minutes? You messed up

  • Want to Catch More Fish? Aug 5, 2019

This app is MUCH more than some simple social media app for anglers to brag about their catches. This is an actual functional tool that will help you get more fish in the boat. Learn why, how and where you’re catching fish, overlay those onto conditions data, and then paint a clear picture of what patterns are effective and when over the long term. Then plan future trips accordingly. It’s easy to use, extremely robust and it has become the only planning tool I need. As a professional angler whose livelihood relies on catching fish, ANGLR has become invaluable to me. Grab a Bullseye, too. It’s worth the dough.

As an angler this by far is the most useful app for tracking information on fish and fishing trips. From a bass boat or beating the banks, the amount of information for waypoints to tracking your catches is almost endless. Never again having to hand write things you see, the weather, or log catches. You can do it straight from the app. And the useful tips and stories from profit, you continuously learning new things to help you catch more fish. I highly..HIGHLY recommend downloading the app and see for yourself. AND ITS FREE!!!! It’s a must have.
  • The Fish App I’ve Been Looking For! May 19, 2020

    By beaddy
This is the fish app to end all other fish apps. While looking for an app to tracked all my data while fishing I tried all the other fishing apps and they’ve been a HUGE disappointment. If you’re looking for an app that you can brag about your catches and give away your locations this isn’t for you. If you want to log your trips and get weather, catch and map areas when/where you fish and keep it to yourself then you’ll love this app. This app is: - Easy to use - Intuitive - Packed with genius features - Covers everything I hope the ANGLR team continues to improve this. They literally thought of everything on this one. I purchased the Bullseye device to complement the app. Not sure what happened to the tracker device that mounts to your rod but that would’ve probably been sweet if it was still available. Stop wasting time with other silly apps. Get this one!!
  • So easy to use Aug 28, 2020

    By Amish_G
Anglr makes it so easy to track the fish you catch and the gear you use. I’d recommend this to any level of angler. When a customer suggests new features, they respond back and get to work on it. You can’t say that for many other apps out there. They created an app that isn’t blocked by a bunch of paywalls and greed. They truly want people to enjoy fishing and make it easier to improve upon their tactics and tackle. Keep up the great work Anglr, I can’t wait to see what the future holds for your company and team. Aaron G.
  • Far From Perfect but Still the Best Jan 11, 2021

    By MLMRyan

The one thing I would like to ask, if the creators ever see this. I would really like a function to where I could add notes to the fish trip. I know you can add them when you go to the individual catches but I would really like a place to write a note about the trip whenever looking through my log book. It would really be a nice touch to add to the app. Either way with or without that feature I still absolutely love the app!
  • Great tool Apr 2, 2021

I got this app early and was hesitant about it at first. But the updates have been consistent and constantly for the better. I pair a bullseye button with my app and it worked great for a short period of time. I think my button was faulty as it always seemed to disconnect or act up. Anglr replaced the button for free of charge. Only reason I’m not giving it a full five stars is because of some of the requirements to run the app. On remote river floats I have noticed you will stop recording if the cellular service drops

Like it so far. Still not sure if my Bullseye works or not. Didn't work first time I tried. Haven't been out to try again yet. I do have high hopes for it...

Had trouble getting this to work for me at first. Had some freezing issues at sign up. The Anglr team was super responsive to my message to them on Instagram about this issue and assured me it will be fixed shortly. However the app started working for me on its own. If you're having issues with this app, get in touch with them and I'm sure they'll do everything they can to help.
  • Location of catches Oct 17, 2020

    By LilBitShutterbug
It would be nice if changing a catch location was easier. Maybe being able to move a pin on a nap instead of having coordinates? There are times I have to add catches because I didn't have my bullseye connected and trying to find coordinates isn't easy. Some of my catches end up on weird places on the map or I lose them altogether.
  • I like it a lot! Apr 15, 2021

    By puddingcake19
I like this app and it’s ability to back track... but my current pet peeve is that sometimes the backtrack has the location off, and when I try to change location... it ask for lat and longitude. I recommend being able to pick a spot on the map/satellite rather than having to research the lat/long separately.

So much potential! Needs work though. I dont think Anglr realize how close to amazing this app is! It needs more work on the stats section, and friends section. When I click my friends I can't see the pics of there catches, or there fishing trips. This app is good, but it really could be epic with some updates.
  • Password Issues (Resolved) Apr 14, 2019

    By bat123789

I love the idea of the app and the Bullseye to log my catches. I got the Bullseye and have been fishing 5 times. I don't know if my use case is ideal for what it wants to do. I am a flyfisherman and the locations can have sporadic cell coverage. You don't get full utility of the weather, wind, water, etc, even if you drop to 3G coverage. On the third trip with the Bullseye, I had to keep reconnecting the device to the app and missed a good 1/3 of the catches being recorded on a slamming fishing day. The folks at ANGLR are nice to deal with but not being able to export your GPS coords needs to dealt with, too.
  • App is good, but often crashes Feb 25, 2021

    By #bestbf
I use this for it’s intended purposes. I log all of my gear; rods, reels, hooks, lures, soft plastics, etc. and I log all of my catches. The app is great for keeping track of catches and all the conditions of each catch. The downside is that this app crashes so often. Like open the app, crash. Open the app, add gear, crash. Open the app, try to start a session, crash. Open the app, session is going for a good 30 minutes, check the phone, crash. It seems like if you look at this app wrong it crashes. If this was fixed it would easily be 5 stars.

Had to give it only 3 stars because trying to load the feed results in a "No data" error, even though I have a strong wifi signal. Seems like it's trying to only use cellular. That's fine when you've out on the water, but when you're out there you're probably not reading any articles.
  • Needs more but a great start Jan 7, 2017

    By Salt water fisher
Just from downloading it and setting everything up this looks like the start to a great app and a great companion on the water. I kayak fish a lot so being able to log my trips is going to be great. My biggest complaint is the lack of company's listed for rods reels and baits. Everything listed is fresh water or fly fishing i would definitely rate this app 5 stars if they gave an option to enter your own brand of rod and reel. I fish almost exclusively penn rods and reels and penn is not even an Option to select. I hope this is addressed in an update soon.
  • Dead battery May 15, 2020

    By skink001
I got my bullseye to link when I first got it at home in the mail, a few days later when I got to the water it was dead. I sent their customer service an email with a photo of the package and a receipt, the next day I got an email from them saying their customer service email address had changed they gave me the new address and it doesn’t work. The app works fine, think twice about $30 for the bullseye, it’s supposed to have a warranty they don’t seem to want to honor. Overall 3 star rating combined.
  • Great app, needs one slight improvement Feb 23, 2019

    By riggs15397
This app is by far the best on the market, with its area and catch markings. My only complaint is not being able to input GPS coordinates to mark a spot, for when you’re taking points previously found (on boat electronics or other apps). The app is great and does a tremendous job, this would just put it over the top of the competition.
  • Needs an update Apr 7, 2019

I’m giving this 3 stars because while the interface is totally amazing, it tends to get a bit laggy and sometimes won’t even load on my phone! But overall I love how I can turn my phone into a portable fish finding map!
  • Good start. Needs improvement. Jun 8, 2019

    By Dogbone_384
It’s a good APP. Please add the ability to input weight in pounds & ounces and/or decimal pounds (i.e. 5.25). I catch pickerel, bass, and perch in my waters. It would be quicker to pick from a RECENT list than scrolling down the list for each catch.

  • Can’t log in Nov 7, 2018

Spent 20 minutes creating an account, logging in, and repeating. After logging in (and having to change my Facebook password, use a phone number) it just spits me back to a log in/sign up page. I’ve been a web developer for years. I know how to create these log in pages and if I can’t get in after 20-30 minutes? You messed up

Have always logged in with Facebook and now it brings me to an error page saying this feature is unavailable. I can’t log into my account, I just bought the bullseye and I can’t even use it because I can’t log into my account. Very disappointed.
  • I keep giving this thing chances Apr 8, 2019

Used the tracker to log 12 catches. I can hear it communicating with the app. When I look back at the app it only shows 4 catches. Can’t go back easily to update the details of the trip or catches. Definitely not easy to use, nor works as it should at this point. I wish it did.
  • Not working correctly Apr 7, 2019

  • Full of Bugs Oct 11, 2018

    By Douglobb
    1) Won’t authenticate using google or facebook after initial use 2) Try password reset and app says email address isn’t in use. (Had to create new account w/ alias email) 3) Battery on Bullseye last one outing (Not 2years) 3) when getting into app to add lures, the screen flashes and goes back to home screen. 4) the one time I got app to work the map downloads real-time data. Need to give ability to cache a 20-40mile radius to conserve phone GPS. (Re: Navionics Boating USA App) Nice concept, but app and bullseye seem to miss the target. I’d rather be fishing than troubleshooting electronics.
