    I love some of the updates like being able to adjust my auto transfers from my back account and such , but about half the time I get an error message saying “ failed to configure setting” and cant log into the app lately this has been more often than not.

    User-friendly & frequently updated so information is accurate. I've only used it for informational purposes. I haven't tried to make payments or transfers from it, so I'm not sure how those features function. But overall I'm very satisfied with this app.

    I work as an iPhone app developer and at first I’d be frustrated with some of the things in the app. Wonky UX, things not always working, however the app has gotten much better over the year and feels reliable and less wonky.

    Ever since the new update, when the app verifies that you want to log out, the yes or no verbiage doesn’t show on the buttons, they’re blank. You have to guess when one is which.

    Please include the ability to trade stocks and such. Making quick buy and sell decisions would be so much easier on this app instead of the website.

    Used to be a handy app to have on my iPhone. After an update it started giving a message saying “Failed to load configuration settings” and gets stuck in an endless loop with that message. Deleting and re-installing the app did not help. An app that never loads is not useful! Fast forward several months- app STILL will not work. Now I cannot even sign into to app. I am able to log into my account on the website - but not the app. Worthless!!

    Everytime I try to use it, I have to reset my password because it tells me I'm locked out. After spending two hours on the phone with a service, I once again try to login, and it tells me that I am locked out. The service representative tells me that I'm not locked out. This application absolutely stinks and so does the customer service

    It is hard to use this app to get a total net worth since the “total view” function can’t even keep Ameriprise accounts up to date on a regular basis. In the “Accounts” view I see one value and in “Total View” I see a different value for the exact same account both of which are Ameriprise accounts i.e., not an externally connected account. Shouldn’t these show the same number?

    Needs the ability to toggle between multiple accounts. When the web browser view is better than the app, then there's no reason to install the app, instead just install a home screen shortcut to the website

    Need to be able to see trading information on my accounts. I can’t see my open limit orders. Also, tax lots are in the wrong order. Short term section appears before long term- but when you open up the sections the lots are then oldest to newest. Not very consistent. Brokerage positions can’t be viewed together- you have to pick a category. Also, there’s no way to use bill pay.

    For a financial company to put out such an app should be totally embarrassed. I would have given 0 stars if I could have. The only plus is that you get a picture of your total assets, but can’t use what you see to make any financial decisions. I would strongly suggest Ameriprise take a look at apps like SigFig, Schwab etc. Final kicker, when you try to log out, you get a message if your sure you want to sign out and the app freezes, not allowing you to log out.

    2 accts viewable when I log in on my laptop. Only 1 shows when I try to use the app. Customer service rep thinks it's that the app is not compatible with android.. Disappointing.

    Ameritrade keeps trying to get me to go electronically but the app they provide is ridiculous. I can’t get beyond the sign in screen without hitting the back button 60 times. I don’t have time for this. If you want to know the year I was born let me put it in there don’t start out with 2020 and expect me to backspace until I get to 1953. Do you only cater to young people who aren’t even retired yet? Ridiculous.

    About half the times I launch this app I get a ‘Failed to load configuration settings’ error and I can’t log in. Killing and relaunching, re-entering credentials, reseting network - nothing seems to fix it. When I can log in it shows my accounts correctly although I don’t think it has live market updates.

    In both Account view and Total View these balance are suspect at best. Even if it says information is ‘8 minutes ago’ it is often 1-2 days behind. Should it be that hard to pull data or at least state correctly how old the information really is?

    I have never heard of any software that has specific requirements on a user provided device name. I turns out this app. is one of those pieces of software. Your personally provided device name cannot contain special characters (for example, parenthesis, double quotes, etc). It is pretty bad that an app. gives vague error messages, and requires a user to rename their device. However, with this 'workaround' the app works again. I will raise the star rating if Ameriprise fixes this issue.

    After last update this app no longer works. In typical Ameriprise fashion, they “improved” the tech to where it doesn’t work at all anymore. Can’t even log in even after deleting app and reinstalling it. Seriously, after a week this should be fixed by now!!

    I have installed, deleted, re-installed, re-deleted, etc like 10 times. App will not allow me to login. Can login from web browser on phone or pc with same credentials but not from this terrible app. Really goes to show how second rate Ameriprise is in comparison to a more consumer forward company like fidelity (whose app is rock solid).
