    I have never had a problem with the AMC app. It is super helpful with finding any showtimes for any movie currently playing in any AMC theater. I’ve never ordered anything in the app just because I find it easier to order in person, but it is super easy to find some great choices in the theater, and it even gives you some combo options. I think that’s pretty cool, I love getting to see how many points I have left for my next reward, and how many points I have in total! Also I’m able to see my upcoming reservations. The app notifies me, when my screen is locked, about my movie pass (that I added to my wallet), letting me know show time is almost near and my pass is ready for when I arrive at the theater and I won’t have to hold the line to look for my pass. Super quick and easy to reserve the preferred movie of your choice, at your preferred time. The only problem I’ve had with the app, is that sometimes when reserving a seat, I get the image of A theater (that is supposed to look like the one the movie will be playing in) and I get the middle seat, for example, and then I get to the theater and instead of the entrance being on the left (how is showed on the image for the seats being shifted to the right side) the entrance is on the right (and the seats are shifted to the left side). So then I’m not in the “middle” as I wished but it’s still close enough. Other than that little detail, the AMC app has a lot to offer and I am very proud to be an A-List member.

    The app is great. Very easy to use and have great deals that are not too pricy. My husband and I love AMC. Every time I go to watch movies, I always enjoy my stay. They have great customer service, great movies, yummy snacks at the concession stand. You should download this app and start receiving the great deals they have to offer and watch great movies! Always be safe and have fun everyone!

    AMC is my “go-to” theater @ my local mall. I love reserved seating as well as the recliners. This app makes it that much more of a desire for me to go there, it’s pretty simple to navigate this app, it builds up points quickly leading to awesome discounts on whatever u choose, tickets, snacks/food etc. All I have to do is show the barcode on my phone to the ticket taker and I’m set! AMC has also proven to me to be so easy to work with, a sort of “no-hassle” experience. If you’re not satisfied at all, u get a refund no questions asked. If something comes up even minutes b4 the show starts they’ll refund you. Or.. if you’re @ the theater & for whatever reason you might want to exchange your time for another, and/or another time AND movie altogether, the customer service counter will gladly oblige. There’s also express service for stubs rewards members on the concession line, which is AWESOME. The one & only thing & it’s not a huge deal, is the fact that I can’t exchange tix for another time by way of the app, they’ll only simply refund ur $ and then you have to choose another show or time starting over. Hence why I said that at least they’ll offer more solutions inside theater. Highly recommend. It’s not that much $, & you’ll save a lot. The discounts are def worth the price!!

    I love A-List, absolutely LOVE it. But, the AMC app is so slow, and often logs me out for no reason. I wish the app was more stable. Granted I haven't had issues with selecting seats or securing tickets. It's just the fact that it can sometimes take forever to do so. Not just selecting theaters or movies, but also switching between important tabs, such as my A-List QR code and just my AMC in general. Overall, great service, troublesome app.

    If you like watching movies and watch at least one a month this will appeal to you. Just make sure there’s a few AMCs within driving or public transport distance. Had the other monthly movie service whom shall not be named and it made me love going to the movies again but not prepared to shell out some dough for the magic of the big screen as often as I was going. Tried this out and loved it even at double the cost of the previous monthly service. Sure it’s only AMC theaters but they offer some great conveniences. The occasional busy movie day when I’m not really trying to go anyways is about the only issue I’ve experienced but being able to use other checkout services to see the movie with your stubs membership is quite the excellent workaround. Bravo AMC heads that worked that deal out! App is just ok but it does its job 95% of the time. The really busy times (understandable) the servers are slow I guess so it makes it a pain to buy a ticket but the workaround is a godsend. The service itself is the real star of the show and if you love watching movies the way they’re meant to be seen to get the full emotional umph! Then this will be a valuable membership for your entertainment buck. If you read this whole thing thanks. It’s weird nowadays to read this much of a review but thanks I appreciate it and I appreciate you. Sincerely a fellow movie lover. 📽🎥🎬🎟

    I’ve been using the AMC app for about five years now. I’ve never had any problems with this app and every time they keep adding new features a new features in new features it gets easier and easier and easier to use. Why are you somebody else’s Apple Watch I go through for somebody else to buy tickets at the theater that you’re actually going to go to. You just put in a middleman in between you and your theater and you’re going to spend even though you may not think you are you going to spend a little bit more money. I don’t believe that if you buy a ticket from the ticket vendor yeah do you actually get a cheaper price because a ticket vendor has his finger inside the pie and he’s going to want to piece of that ticket price of the vendors going to get it extra $.10 or four dollars on your ticket. Again AMC app is the only app you should use to buy tickets for AMC theater. And if you don’t like this app then maybe you shouldn’t be coming to an AMC theater watch a movie with people who enjoy the AMC theater experience and enjoy the app. Thank you again great Apt AMC keep up the good work I can’t wait to see what kind of features are going to be on the Apt in the future.

    Update: I went a long time without being able to log in to this app, so I originally left a bad review and moved on to using Atom for bookong my tickets. This app seems to be fine now. I have to use it in order to redeem rewards and use gift cards, so I only keep it for that purpose.

    AMC does a great job of keeping track of tickets, points, and rewards on the app. It also not as buggy as it once was before. But seriously, when will there be a way to book tickets for myself and a couple plus ones under the three free movies a week benefit? Why not allow the ability to treat your friends and family to a movie once in a while? The more friends we bring, the more fun can be had. This would give non A listers a chance to join in on the movie experience, too. And for everyone’s sake, please remove the movies from the selection list if they don’t have any show times for my theaters. Countless times, I’ve selected a movie from the list to find that it isn’t even playing in my own city. I appreciate the posters and I understand how you want to market the movies, but how come when tapping on the movie showtimes when I select my theatre doesn’t give me that poster view and goes straight to showtimes? Personally, I think it’s a little premature to assume that if you’re looking at show times, that you automatically know what movie and showtime you want. It’d be more intuitive I think to limit the advertised movies to the ones you can actually book a ticket instead of the current set up.

    I love that my teenage son has everything he needs on the App when he goes to the movies. He just scans his tickets to get in. For concessions, he scans our STUBS membership to get size upgrades and redeem rewards dollars, then scans gift card(s) that are saved on the App to pay the remaining balance. I just purchase an egift card through the App and receive it electronically. Then I save the gift card on the App and he’s good to go. No need to bring cash. The stubs membership has also been worth it. We get rewards dollars that can be redeemed on the App when purchasing tickets or concessions, and you get size upgrades for concessions. The convenience fee is also waived when purchasing tickets through the App. We have saved so much money. The tickets are easy to purchase on the App as well. -And if for some reason you aren’t able to use your tickets, you can cancel all or part of the order up until start time of the movie. You get your full return quickly and without penalty. The one thing I would like to see added to the App is the ability to “re-load” the existing gift cards saved on the App. That would be great.

    Can do everything but actually make a purchase. Whenever I try, it just says "there was an error" (very specific). There is nothing wrong with my card because they just successfully charged it for the Premier stubs thing, and there is no customer support to call or chat with for help. Disney+ doesn't have these problems...

    First time user of this app. Long time Flixster user. We also have a Stubs card. Upon trying to purchase tickets, received error message ‘Oops! Something went wrong...’ Selected the purchase button again and received the same warning. Then we were timed out and had to restart the purchase process from the beginning only to find our seats were no longer available -Because apparently the transaction did complete despite the error messages and zero confirmation that the transaction went thru. I don’t like being forced to check my credit card account to make sure we weren’t charged twice because the app never confirmed the transaction! This is BASIC stuff! Also, too many clicks to see what’s playing/times at a given venue. The initial screen giving information about the theater is more for the egos of AMC Executives - The customer wants to see the movie and times FIRST, not a corporate marketing spiel. We use these apps to save time, that point is lost on AMC. Also, favorited 5 AMC theaters, but can’t seem to get a filtered list set as my default view showing only those theaters. I don’t need to know about a theater 10miles away, I just want to launch the app and see what’s playing at my favorites. I imagine that option exists but I can’t figure it out, or because of a bug the setting/option doesn’t work. Appreciate they include run time and technical info for the theater/ presentation.

    Until recently I gave this app 5 stars, but recently it has been glitchy as others have reported, not allowing purchases, and today I went to check on an order for a few days from now and it wasn’t there in the app, the tickets were not displayed. Worried that I had forgotten to place the order, I checked my credit card statement and found a charge, then checked my email for the ticket confirmation, but nothing showing in the app. After a chat session with customer support, i was told to bring a pro out of that email, and that the tickets would show up in the app after the movie showtime. after. I got the sense that the rep felt I was being stupid for not knowing this. Hopefully I will not have a problem. BUT: I kept checking, and discovered that this happened at least once previously, and that time, I just thought that I had forgotten to place the order, ordered again, only to discover after the showtime that there were two sets of tickets displayed, the ones I used and the ones I wasted. Now I’m out over $90. Reaching out to customer service to see if they will help, but since it is well after the showtime, I’m expecting them to say they cannot help me. Really annoying and wipes out any savings I’ve gotten from being an A-list member. Moral: Don’t trust the app to track your purchases properly!

    When purchasing tickets you have to pull the screen up and down for the times to display. Info about the movie doesn't work. Can't see a preview of movie from the movie time section have to go to coming soon or now playing to see preview. Running Android 10 UI 2.0 in Galaxy S9+. Thanks.

    App chokes before making final purchase. It knocks you off and you have to begin again. The problem is, it now shows the seats you chose as being UNAVAILABLE. Now you have to wait 10 min for them to release the seats again, so it can choke again 🙄

    It used to be a good app. I could not purchase tickets today with the Android version of the App. Thats a fail. I tried 3 different credit cards. My wife had to make the purchase using her iPhone version of the app.

    App only works now if I turn off my wifi, which is absurd. Never had issues before the pandemic, but if wifi is on I get network error, tap to retry. Makes zero sense. AMC may want to invest in a better app developer.

    I used to go to this theatre quite a bit. Last time I attended, I tried to look up showtimes and they only had 1 showtime for almost every movie. Then, a week later when I could make the show time, I got drinks for my family and I. They only had 1 type of drink. I asked the attendants about it, they showed me a long worded sign stating their shortage. No one though had the courtesy or good customer service to advise me of their shortage or show me their inconvenience letter. This was very disappointing, I spent well over 100 dollars for them to basically take the money and not tell me that there is a shortage in drinks. Seems like the theatre told their employees to just place this letter, but let them buy the products, if there is a dispute or disagreement just show them the letter afterwards. Makes me hope that the theatre just goes out of business. That was the only theatre I’ve attended that acted in this manner. To add to this in recent years, the quality of the theatre has diminished greatly. This is the theatre in Madison, TN.

The stubs membership has also been worth it. We get rewards dollars that can be redeemed on the App when purchasing tickets or concessions, and you get size upgrades for concessions. The convenience fee is also waived when purchasing tickets through the App. We have saved so much money. The tickets are easy to purchase on the App as well. -And if for some reason you aren’t able to use your tickets, you can cancel all or part of the order up until start time of the movie. You get your full return quickly and without penalty. The one thing I would like to see added to the App is the ability to “re-load” the existing gift cards saved on the App. That would be great.

    let me tell you, AMC hits all the feels. It’s a great spot to take your kids for some family fun. When those kids grow up they’ll take their high schools dates there. Then when THEY have children they’ll take their little families there. So go watch a movie. That being said what’s it not is, it is NOT a vessel for hedge fund meat heads to illegally manipulate its share price to the point where poor AMC would have to file chapter 11, Force 30,000+ people out of a job, in the middle of a pandemic. I refuse to let them blockbuster the best movie theater business on the entire planet. It will be like a Phoenix rising from the ashes mark my words - I won’t even sneak candy into the joint anymore. I’ll buy those goods at 700% give me one of each. I’m telling you right now, I’ll tell every girl I take there “nah you can’t share my drink, I’ll buy you your own medium.” I’ll head down to the arcade after the movie every night and throw pocket fulls of quarters in the air till the kids only wanna go to AMC for family vacation.     I used MoviePass when it first came out and it was wonderful. I bought it knowing that the way their business plan was set up, eventually I knew I would no longer want it. Just as suspected they began changing their plans without notice and not allowing you to keep your “grandfathered” plan. So eventually they changed so much I decided it was time to move on. Luckily AMC is pretty much the only theatre I go to and they came out with a deal similar to the beginning of MoviePass. I hope that this does not change as MoviePass did and I do think it’s possible for them not to change. So far I am enjoying the app with no issues and you are allowed 3 movies a week with the reset happening each Friday. The App is easy to use and the interface looks great. The only downside is that it took me a minute to find the synopsis of movies when clicking into them. Just a heads up if you are still reading this, you find it after clicking on the movie, then push the arrow pointing up that is near the bottom of the screen. So far, well done AMC, well done.

    I love A-List, absolutely LOVE it. But, the AMC app is so slow, and often logs me out for no reason. I wish the app was more stable. Granted I haven't had issues with selecting seats or securing tickets. It's just the fact that it can sometimes take forever to do so. Not just selecting theaters or movies, but also switching between important tabs, such as my A-List QR code and just my AMC in general. Overall, great service, troublesome app.

    If you like watching movies and watch at least one a month this will appeal to you. Just make sure there’s a few AMCs within driving or public transport distance. Had the other monthly movie service whom shall not be named and it made me love going to the movies again but not prepared to shell out some dough for the magic of the big screen as often as I was going. Tried this out and loved it even at double the cost of the previous monthly service. Sure it’s only AMC theaters but they offer some great conveniences. The occasional busy movie day when I’m not really trying to go anyways is about the only issue I’ve experienced but being able to use other checkout services to see the movie with your stubs membership is quite the excellent workaround. Bravo AMC heads that worked that deal out! App is just ok but it does its job 95% of the time. The really busy times (understandable) the servers are slow I guess so it makes it a pain to buy a ticket but the workaround is a godsend. The service itself is the real star of the show and if you love watching movies the way they’re meant to be seen to get the full emotional umph! Then this will be a valuable membership for your entertainment buck. If you read this whole thing thanks.     AMC does a great job of keeping track of tickets, points, and rewards on the app. It also not as buggy as it once was before. But seriously, when will there be a way to book tickets for myself and a couple plus ones under the three free movies a week benefit? Why not allow the ability to treat your friends and family to a movie once in a while? The more friends we bring, the more fun can be had. This would give non A listers a chance to join in on the movie experience, too. And for everyone’s sake, please remove the movies from the selection list if they don’t have any show times for my theaters. Countless times, I’ve selected a movie from the list to find that it isn’t even playing in my own city. I appreciate the posters and I understand how you want to market the movies, but how come when tapping on the movie showtimes when I select my theatre doesn’t give me that poster view and goes straight to showtimes? Personally, I think it’s a little premature to assume that if you’re looking at show times, that you automatically know what movie and showtime you want. It’d be more intuitive I think to limit the advertised movies to the ones you can actually book a ticket instead of the current set up.

    For example, I added a gift card and that messes with the system in all kinds of ways. At first it worked great, but when I went to use it again it would only give me fifty cents off when I had a full 30 dollars left. After rebooting a bunch of times finally I found a number and got the typical run around you might expect. First place I got said I had to call gift card, gift card said they have nothing to do with the app and to call customer support (which is who so was talking to at first). So the reconnected me back to customer support who told me I needed to call gift card. This time gift card validated I had the money and I convinced them to stay on the line. Then the customer service guy actually checked my account and presto, between gift card being validated and my account being checked the gift card started working. But it took 45 minutes for it to happen. Long story short, don’t use gift cards and you’ll be fine. Everything else works awesome and it’s an unbelievable price and deal. I try to spend money on concessions because I want this deal to continue and never go away!!

    On October 3rd, your App has been crashing continuously when trying to view seats and purchase tickets to some upcoming movies this weekend, especially Joker which is now out. This (the app) also crashes when trying to purchase tickets and use my rewards that in my card but cannot be accessed thru the app if I want to upgrade my account or at least use my monetary rewards to discount my tickets. Been very frustrating and disappointing using this app for the last few days especially when I don’t want to wait in lines and save time just by using my phone. Otherwise your app rating would be 5 stars. And if you’re wondering what type of phone I have is the iPhone 8 Plus and has the most updated iOS software 13.1.2. And today I was able to update you app as well and still crashes. I also tried removing the app and reinstalling it and the app still crashes. Please help me fix this so I can have the ease of ordering tickets and upgrading my account thru my phone instead of dealing with customer service on the phone or in person at the movie theater.     Overall I really enjoyed being an AMC customer. I really think a list is worth it from cost to benefit ratio. My only negative feedback I have is in regards to customer service. I called AMC back at the beginning of March with regards to avengers endgame tickets. I inquired about win tickets were being released at a specific location. I was given a date which I saved in my phone so that I could be prepared to buy my tickets. However the customer service representative gave me the wrong date and on the day that tickets were released the app and website along with all phones shut down because of the overwhelming desire to buy tickets. I wasn’t upset about the fact that everything shut down (though I do think AMC could plan better for major movie openings like avengers), I was upset because had I been given the correct date I would’ve just been the theater to buy my tickets in person. I have very high standards for AMC because AMC has set themselves apart and always delivered. I have never heard back regarding this though I’ve tried to reach out.

    I have never had any problems with using the app and Have found it very user friendly...until today. I ended up calling customer service because it would not allow me to sign in for some reason...apparently there was a glitch on their end...and it was so frustrating! I tried numerous times to sign in because I need to be signed in to purchase tickets (to not pay the processing fee) and it kept saying invalid account info. So, I reset my password and tried again, but it still wouldn’t work! Then I thought my membership needed renewing so I tried that and it said there was already an account with that email...anyways, after hours of trying, giving up, trying, giving up and finally calling customer service, it let me reset my password and sign in!! I am not due to renew until the end of next month and I was able to purchase Incredible 2 tickets!! Took forever, but the problem got fixed and you can’t expect no technology issues ever, right?!?

    I had the AMC app about a year ago and it was trash to be honest. Nothing worked right, it was buggy and would crash and would not let me sign in. I just downloaded it again today and I must say it's better. I can log in well, I like the touch ID, not as many bugs experienced yet. There was one when trying to see the rules of their new promotion and it wouldn't load well and gave me an error. As for logging in, that worked well. But...I will view/see I'm a AMC Stubs Insider member and I can see all my stubs info. But when I try to by a ticket today it would not apply my ticket Tuesday deal ($2 off). Also, when I tried to sign up for the tickets for a year promo and buy a ticket it did not see that I was stubs member and tried to make me sign up for a whole new account & stubs membership. There was no way to sign in or show the app I was a stubs member and to apply the proposal EVEN THOUGH I WAS ALREADY SIGNED IN AND IT SHOWS ME MY STUBS INFO!! There needs to be a way to connect/make this all work together and the STUBS INFO can be seen and applied throughout the app. Thanks.

    I’ve used app for years and with latest update the app says my log in is not correct. I can log in online via browser and it shows I’m a premiere but in this clunky app it won’t let me log in. Says my email isn’t valid; but when I reset password it sends link to same email. Once I changed password it doesn’t stay logged in and doesn’t recognize my stubs info. But if I try to re-link my stubs acct to the app log in the loop says I’m already using the stub number and logs me out. Then try to log in again it goes back to saying my email isn’t a valid log in. Fix the freaking app!!! Update: Maybe coincidence or maybe a responsive app development CusSer group, either way the latest update fixed my login loop issue. I will say it’s a bit annoying how every update requires a completely new login as if I’m a first time user. The whole point of the timer print ID process is so I don’t have to remember my login info...but other than that the app seems to be back to its normal state.

    I’m still waiting for this app to have a more fluid experience when looking for the best seat at two of my favorite theaters across multiple showtimes. It should be easier once I select the movie I want to see to show the seating plans for my favorite theaters around the initial time I selected. Please add this function!!!! Points earned for the Entourage feature!!! This will definitely make managing my wife’s tickets a lot easier! Instead of us rushing to get the seats at the same time on two apps!!! Points lost for asking me to add snacks before I purchase the ticket. It creates an additional layer of anxiety when I’m trying to snag a ticket to a possibly sold out show. Ask me about snacks after the final order page when I know I have my ticket secured. Right now I quickly skip through that page because I don’t want to miss out on the ticket!!! You’re loosing sales this way.

    I signed up for the A list membership not realizing that it was only for me and not multiple family members (my bad). I barely have time for one movie a month, let alone three per week so I set forth to cancel my membership. On the app, under refunds, it states to simply tap the purchase to request a refund (just to stop the A-List). I’ve tried this multiple times since August. Does not work, no refund screen pops up. So I searched everywhere on app, on full website, and tried to call theater-nobody answers. I eventually found a hidden link on the website where I was to send an email with A-List member number, stating I wanted to stop mbrshp. I did that over two weeks ago, and the September charge is already on my card again. Folks, once you sign up, you cannot unsign! Beware. The app overall works great otherwise but they’ve found a way to trap you.

    Overall the app is a decent, well functioning app. However, I don’t like how the app advertises that it does all this stuff but doesn’t “walk you through it” and show you how to use all that the app is stating it does in its advertisement when you first initially start up the app, or altogether at any time for that matter. For instance, it states that you can pick your seats. How? I’ve tried to walk through the process of purchasing my tickets, for several different movies at different times, and try to find where it allows me to choose my own seating prior to the movies showtime. Can’t find the option to pick seating, like the app advertises that it does, each time I’ve gone through the process of purchasing tickets through the app. A little break down, or step by step, from the app would be much appreciated.

    I love the movies and I like the convenience of this app but I do have a few issues. I am Alist member so I pay for a monthly subscription. Ironically this is causing me more problems every time I go to the movies because I have to have my ID which I never carry. In an app that lets me pay for and select my movies why can’t it have a picture of me in it or let me identify myself from the app? This is a problem because fundamentally most apps are designed to allow you to carry less i.e. a digital wallet, not have to carry a wallet around to show my ID in case I decide to see a movie. The other big issue is that the app will only allow me to have three upcoming events even if those events are not in the same week. This is a flaw in the app. Fix these and I would love to give this a five star rating.

    This is great for one person going to see an AMC movie, and works well with A-List. The problem is how to buy tickets for movies with other people who are on A-List or the $5 Stubs tier. There’s no way to do it. Could you at least show which seat number I’m buying so I can tell a friend to buy the one next to me in their app? Also, the reminders feature is a good idea, but implemented poorly. It didn’t work at all for the first few months it was promoted (and tech support didn’t even know how it was supposed to work) and you can’t use it on movies that are out, only coming soon. I’m betting other Stubs and especially A-List members would like to create a list of what’s NOW PLAYING as well as upcoming, to make it easier to plan future outings. This is the killer feature the app needs.

    This entourage feature is real plus especially during this COVID-19 fiasco. I can pick out my guaranteed seat SOMEWHAT in advance, (it’s hard to find movie times more than three or four days out ) l do like not worrying about remembering my ticket, get my awards automatically applied, and there is NO CHARGE!!! The only problem is not all the movies are Alist available and those are not clearly noted; there are no late movies for some of the movies I want to see. Although there are 20 theaters 💙 only five or six movies actually showing. I’m starting to get very disillusioned with my A-list and I’ve had it from the beginning. I want to see ”The Father “ but have not seen it available in the evening when I can go. This is why I’ve gone from a five star rating to a two star rating.

    Love the A List, love AMC, and enjoying the app, but the personality portal gives you a choice of favorite directors and it’s 19 male directors + Patty Jenkins and two are the Russos who always direct as a pair. Really wish they’d add some female directors like Ava Duvernay, Kathryn Bigelow, Greta Gerwig, Lulu Wang, Nora Ephron, Olivia Wilde, Angelina Jolie, Kasi Lemmons, Anna Boden, Jennifer Lee, and Marielle Heller. I tried to send these suggestions to support a few weeks ago, but never got a response. That quiz had twice as many Jameses as women. :/ Since the app prompted me for a review before anyone ever responded to my message (sent a few weeks ago), I’m including the feedback here. Hopefully someone sees it. If they added 19x more women directors, I would be SO GRATEFUL! Also, audio never seems to work for trailers. Some kind of bug I guess. Otherwise, thanks for a great app and great theaters, AMC.

    Love the AMc A-List plan (three movies a weekend) , we like AMC theaters a lot, we like the app for the most part, but AMC theaters are impossible to get tickets canceled or changed after order. The in app option to request refund does not work, the website version does not work either. Part of the problem is they do not verify you actually use the tickets purchased, if the ticket is not used it should be possible to refunded it. What AMC does is they bill out and make it as hard as possible to request refunds or make changes. I get why from their POV, from our experience it’s unsatisfactory to go through the step to request a refund to have it crash or just stop. I don’t know if it company policy causing this or inability of different programs/apps to work together.

    Until recently I gave this app 5 stars, but recently it has been glitchy as others have reported, not allowing purchases, and today I went to check on an order for a few days from now and it wasn’t there in the app, the tickets were not displayed. Worried that I had forgotten to place the order, I checked my credit card statement and found a charge, then checked my email for the ticket confirmation, but nothing showing in the app. After a chat session with customer support, i was told to bring a pro out of that email, and that the tickets would show up in the app after the movie showtime. after. I got the sense that the rep felt I was being stupid for not knowing this. Hopefully I will not have a problem. BUT: I kept checking, and discovered that this happened at least once previously, and that time, I just thought that I had forgotten to place the order, ordered again, only to discover after the showtime that there were two sets of tickets displayed, the ones I used and the ones I wasted. Now I’m out over $90. Reaching out to customer service to see if they will help, but since it is well after the showtime, I’m expecting them to say they cannot help me. Really annoying and wipes out any savings I’ve gotten from being an A-list member. Moral: Don’t trust the app to track your purchases properly!

    I used to go to this theatre quite a bit. Last time I attended, I tried to look up showtimes and they only had 1 showtime for almost every movie. Then, a week later when I could make the show time, I got drinks for my family and I. They only had 1 type of drink. I asked the attendants about it, they showed me a long worded sign stating their shortage. No one though had the courtesy or good customer service to advise me of their shortage or show me their inconvenience letter. This was very disappointing, I spent well over 100 dollars for them to basically take the money and not tell me that there is a shortage in drinks. Seems like the theatre told their employees to just place this letter, but let them buy the products, if there is a dispute or disagreement just show them the letter afterwards. Makes me hope that the theatre just goes out of business. That was the only theatre I’ve attended that acted in this manner. To add to this in recent years, the quality of the theatre has diminished greatly. This is the theatre in Madison, TN.

    I love the THEATER part of the app. The On Demand needs work! Not sure if AMC On Demand is the issue or if the app is the issue. I was excited to try it but the sound on my movie was not right (could hear music and see lips moving but no spoken words on 3 different devices). After 2 different support people wasted an hour of my time, they said On Demand movies are non refundable regardless if it is a technical issue on their side. Neither offered any actual troubleshooting other than telling me to uninstall & reinstall. $4.52 is not a lot of money, but they paid 2 support people and a manager much more than that to ask me questions I already answered and NOT give me a refund. So, 5 stars for the theater portion of the app and theater support and 1 star for On Demand portion of the app. They need to work out the bugs and try again. Alternatively, they could offer actual troubleshooting of technical issues so I could watch my movie or refund my money since I can’t.

    It takes them five minutes to type the shortest sentence and they type like they’re in elementary school. The first time, they took thirty minutes to give me a yes or no answer, spelling errors galore. Then the second time, the person repeatedly told me to do the same thing after I’d said several times that it didn’t work, same typing style as the first person. They eventually were like, “yeah I can’t help you.” Thanks. I can’t pay my bill because the money wasn’t in the bank when it was due, but now it is, and the app won’t charge my card. I want the service but I don’t have a second debit card to give you so I don’t know how I’m going to keep it. “Edit your card on file” they say, over and over. I’ve been trying that all morning and it says “error” every time. I can’t remove and re-add it. So what am I supposed to do? “Oh we can’t help you.”

    Until recently I’ve never experienced any issues with the AMC app. Being an AMC Stubs A-List member I am still able to book a reservation for a free movie without any problems. It’s when I attempt to purchase a ticket for a movie excluded from A-List, a Fathom event for example, that I get an error processing my payment. The same thing occurs if I attempt to purchase concessions ahead of time. I reported this to an AMC rep via chat was told they are aware of a system problem when I was able to purchase my ticket on the website. This was an acceptable workaround until today when I received a similar error attempting to purchase a ticket on the website. I ended up using Fandango, which was successful and because I have an AMC membership the convenience fee was waived. I don’t know what is going on with the app or website but I’m hoping it is fixed soon.

    Overall amc has the best deal on tickets with their a list - if you watch many movies. The discounts sort of stop there. They have the highest concession prices of all around me. Amc promises concessions at a lower tiers cost but my theater doesn’t honor that. They pulled all smaller sizes so the cheapest popcorn and coke is $15. That sort of negates the low ticket prices. I would still rate them higher but I called and canceled my membership already and today is my second attempt since I was charged again. Now I see that the app displays a message when the acct ends. If you don’t see it, you’ll be charged. I canceled because of the issue above and because of dirty theaters at Stonebriar specifically. Lately I’m getting sticky on me from the theater and I can’t deal. I called about the theater not giving discounts for concession and no response back. The app works well tho.

    I would have loved to give 5 stars if it was only for A list, but since they try to toot their own horn for online ordering and having it delivered to your seat, they only get 2 stars. If you order online, you may or may not receive your order. My last time I ordered, I had selected the delivery time at the start or the previews. The previews started and nothing. 10 minuets later still nothing. I kept looking over my shoulder during the whole movie looking for my order. The movie ended. I still had not received my order. I went to guest services, and was told that they got the order, but my theater or seat info was not on the ticket. I checked my conformation email, and all my information was there. I was told that there is no way for them to find out who orders. They don’t have any problems taking your money.

    First time user of this app. Long time Flixster user. We also have a Stubs card. Upon trying to purchase tickets, received error message ‘Oops! Something went wrong...’ Selected the purchase button again and received the same warning. Then we were timed out and had to restart the purchase process from the beginning only to find our seats were no longer available -Because apparently the transaction did complete despite the error messages and zero confirmation that the transaction went thru. I don’t like being forced to check my credit card account to make sure we weren’t charged twice because the app never confirmed the transaction! This is BASIC stuff! Also, too many clicks to see what’s playing/times at a given venue. The initial screen giving information about the theater is more for the egos of AMC Executives - The customer wants to see the movie and times FIRST, not a corporate marketing spiel. We use these apps to save time, that point is lost on AMC. Also, favorited 5 AMC theaters, but can’t seem to get a filtered list set as my default view showing only those theaters. I don’t need to know about a theater 10miles away, I just want to launch the app and see what’s playing at my favorites. I imagine that option exists but I can’t figure it out, or because of a bug the setting/option doesn’t work. Appreciate they include run time and technical info for the theater/ presentation.

    App chokes before making final purchase. It knocks you off and you have to begin again. The problem is, it now shows the seats you chose as being UNAVAILABLE. Now you have to wait 10 min for them to release the seats again, so it can choke again 🙄

    It used to be a good app. I could not purchase tickets today with the Android version of the App. Thats a fail. I tried 3 different credit cards. My wife had to make the purchase using her iPhone version of the app.

    This app is so glitchy. A lot of network errors. It took me an hour to try to buy tickets. It should not be this complicated. The issue was trying to buy food. There is a delay when submitting the order. I had 6 popcorn orders because it wouldn’t process within a timely manner. Then I tried to delete it down to just one order and get numerous delays. I had cancel the entire order because I was receiving errors issues. Of course, when you cancel the order your seats in the theater remain blocked for a period of 15 minutes so you lost your seating. If the app was not so sensitive I would not be cancelling my order! I would rather go in person and get my tickets instead of dealing with an app that gets me frustrated. Not sure if AMC is troubleshooting the app issues. The password is also another thing. You try to update your password and you get the email and then it takes you online to update it. Once you update it and try to go back to the app it does not recognize your new password. What in the world? That is not right. I give up.

    To get my tickets and order food ahead of time is a struggle!!! The app will take my order for food and at times crash then, or allow me to continue only to crash and kick me out of the app once I try to purchase my tickets. This then causes another problem because the app doesn’t release the tickets you we’re trying to reserve right away. So if you go back in and try to book again the seats you want aren’t available for at least 5 minutes. So between the amount of time you waste ordering food and tickets then add additional wait time for being booted from the app just to do over only to add an additional 5 minutes for them to release the ticket. It’s truly a headache. It tough because we enjoy movies and me and my wife are A-stubs members and we are considering switching to another theater that has a functioning app that will prevent us from having to stand in line to order concessions due to the lines being so long.

    I haven’t been able to make a purchase for months. I keep getting a credit card processing error. Doesn’t matter what card I use, what computer or phone I use. I’ve cleared cookies, I’ve done everything. I figured I could buy gift cards and pay that way (no thanks to AMC - they were NO help) but now I can’t get the A-list because you need a card. Every time I call, e-mail or file a complaint, they come back with a “sorry you are out of luck. We are working on it.” If you google this, you will see that people have had this problem for YEARS. 😡 if you are reading this, find a new theater. They really don’t care about the consumer. Awful customer service. Also, I see developers keep messaging the reviews. Please don’t bother unless you can actually do something. Every time I reach out I get the same thing. We will look into it and get back to you in 24/48 hours. Then five days later, sorry we can’t help you. We are working on the problem!

    While I love that you can easily access the movie showings and times with this app, every time I’ve tried to buy tickets, I’ve received an “Oops, something went wrong” message. Given the way theaters have advanced in the past few years, reserving seats ahead of time is a must do and it’s virtually impossible to achieve with these issues. The other problem is that the app has not updated whether or not the showings are sold out or not in a timely manner. I’ve gone to buy tickets in person after dealing with the first issue, only to be told “sorry, this show is sold out” even though the app didn’t say so. I’ve tried calling customer service, only to be hung up on multiple times before I even got to express my issue. Extremely frustrating. I am a premier member and I honestly expected more from the app. AMC is my go to theater and I hate having these problems. Please try and update the app to fix these issues.
