So grateful
Nov 11, 2019 As a working mom of 2 little kids, i feel so lucky to have someone save me 1-2 hours per week on driving / shopping for groceries. Amazed all the negative reviews who want a concierge service for the price of a $5 tip. If you’re new to this service, here is how to get the most of it: 1. Don’t select exotic items. If your friend wouldn’t find it at the store, don’t be surprised if the shopper can’t either 2. Unless you’re feeling adventurous, don’t allow for substitutions. The shopper is not a Whole Foods expert. They are a regular person who may not share your vegan dietary restrictions or knowledge of whole30 appropriate ingredients. 3. Be flexible. accept that a key item may be missing and have a plan B. Accept that you cannot micromanage the ripeness of the bananas or avocados you receive. . 4. TIP well. Someone is saving you effort, gas and 1+ hours and there is no delivery fee. Imagine if you had to hire someone to do this. That’s worth a minimum of $10 for a mid size order, short distance from the store. Frankly, it’s worth more. 5. Stop wining. If you’re going to cry over having your food arrive 20 mins late or being placed too close to your door, get in your car and go there yourself.more -
Still buggy after years.
Jul 10, 2020 Yes I’ve used prime now for years almost weekly. They were there for me when they had no choice and we had strong feelings for each other. Or so I thought. After COVID they wouldn’t even take my call. For almost 2 months! They claimed they had no availability! I still saw them around town, with other people. Apparently, they were only available to schedule if you checked at 2 AM and sold themselves first come first serve. Disgusting. That was a couple months ago and cooler heads have prevailed. We are trying again, at least I’m trying again. Prime doesn’t yet know or care there was a problem but that’s normal right? Now that we are together again I have to agree with others. Unnecessary errors a lot of the time make the app so frustrating. I just spent 2 hours off and on trying to submit an order. Errors. Tried the browser page and done deal. It was the apps flaw. You are an elite tech mega conglomerate. Fix this. And while your at it quit allowing items to be placed in the cart and then making them disappear only to still be viewed and added to cart only to disappear!more -
It was better, now it’s just ok.
May 31, 2019 I was using this app at least 1-3 times a month to shop at Whole Foods. I like the store but it’s not along my usual travel route so I don’t get there as often as I’d like. It’s not ridiculously far from me, but just in the opposite direction of where I’m usually going or coming home from. Being a Prime Member the free delivery was great. Well worth the cost of a $4-$5 tip. Now the app has changed. You no longer list the sale items or the bonus specials for prime members. Why are they hidden? I need to look up the weekly / monthly flyer and go back and forth to find out what’s on sale. I was doing that recently and after 25 minutes decided it just wasn’t worth my time and X’d out the app with over $100 worth of items in my cart. Please bring back the convenience. Update: The prime and sale item buttons are back making it easy and convenient once again.more -
When it works, it’s amazing! But...
Mar 17, 2020 I’m handicapped so this app is a blessing. It’s hard to impossible to get to the store and get a week worth of groceries from my car and into my house. So when everything works out, it’s WONDERFUL. However, the shoppers who put your order together are sometimes... not very communicative. They don’t answer simple questions or acknowledge requests (like asking for the bread to be sliced). You won’t know until the order ships if something is out of stock, and no replacement options are offered, although I believe that this is supposed to be policy. This makes it difficult to make sure that you can get your weekly shopping done properly. Also, you don’t have to sign in to place your order, but you have to sign in - repeatedly - to keep track of the progress of your order’s arrival. Not cool. I want safety measures to keep the wrong person from spending my money, not to keep me from checking in the arrival time of my order.more -
Well designed app
Jul 9, 2020 This is an amazing app, especially during COVID-19. I am an essential worker. This allows me to pick up my food after work without the added stress of running into stores and looking for things. Yes, things run out during this uncertain times. I don’t see how physically shopping in the store would make the experience better, especially when you can’t blame it on the app... My only feedbacks would be to please use less plastic bags. I don’t need every item quarantines in its own bag. Also please be gentle with my heirloom tomatoes. I have lost two out of the last 4 pick up orders. They were squished before they got into my car so not edible by the time I got home. I can’t afford to order more heirloom tomatoes at this rate. I have tried delivery through this app as well. It also works better than other delivery apps.more

Apr 12, 2020 Horrible experience. Please never ever order from prime now. Basically Amazon has 3 services for foods and vegetables section. 1. Amazon pantry 2. Amazon Fresh 3. Amazon prime now. I have been able to access pantry for last 2 weeks. Quality has been good so far. But coming to fresh I don't have delivery option But last week I was able to order from prime now. Guess what the worst items of the store were given to me. All the vegetables were at worst condition. please don't order from Primenowmore -
Dec 16, 2018 Refund policies are business minded!! When placed the order for a combo pack of two, Amazon person has given only one. For Amazon's mistake too, they are NOT ready to either deliver the missing item or return the item quoting their weird money minded policy. The only thing they 'offered' me was to refund the cost of missing item by calculating 50% of the promotional pack ordered. Now to get that missing item, I need to put money from my pocket; Amazon is not ready to bear the cost of their mistake!! The customer representative was not polite to handle this issue. It may look as if you are saving money by seeing the offers, but at the end you might have to pay more. All other online grocery stores takes responsibility and send the missing items. Please be alert while placing orders in Amazon Prime app. Also noticed that UPI payment options are not provided in this app!!more -
Terrible Customer Service
Jun 12, 2019 I have used AP to order breakfast items from Whole Foods over 10 times with excellent results at first. I ordered before 7 am to qualify for the 8 - 9 am 1 hr window. The first time, the order was on my porch at 8 am! The subsequent orders arrived later and later in the window with all the items in good condition with no unacceptable substitutions. I placed my last order with Whole Foods at 6:30 am and scheduled the 8 am - 9 am window. I received a message shortly after 7 am, I believe, that my order had been assembled and was waiting to be delivered. By 9:10 am I had heard nothing from the store or the driver. I called the driver who spoke with a heavy accent. He was difficult to understand but I managed to get that it “was the store’s fault”. The order was on my porch by 9:22 (time listed on receipt) I think it was more like 9:30 or 9:35 am. The two packages of frozen entrees were soft and not cold to the touch even though they were packaged in an insulated bag. I tried repeatedly to use “customer service” to have them call me as per their instructions but there was no response. As a final resort, I’m writing this review.more -

May 15, 2020 Worse experience with prime now services during lockdown. They change product without your concern and delivered to you without informed. Once it delivered you can not return. This is unacceptable behavior. They don't care about customer and their needs, but only want to make money during such pandemic situation. It's better don't order from prime or more mega store online. Try local vendors near your home for essentials. Uninstalled this app forever 😡😡.more

Want good service? PRIME beats InstaCart everyday!
Jun 10, 2019 I am unable to drive due to an injury. This situation is permanent for me. So I depend on apps & good people (customer service you can actually talk to) like PRIME. I’ve never had a bad delivery with prime I’ve always had good people and they always delivered when they said they would ! I tried Instacart but they kept changing the delivery times on me and I would get charges that I would have to email and wait days to get taken off. The thing that bothered me the most was the one hour delivery they supposedly had and then constantly change to two hours! PRIME has NEVER done this! They have always been on time and accurate with my orders. Never changing things out for different things for more expensive items either! Prime is my go too!!more -
May 4, 2020 This app is relly helpful, at the time of nationwide lockdown, they still made the delivery possible, which was commendable.i liked how the team came up with idea of providing new delivery slots at midnight, what this did was it gave every person a chance to avail the service. My only suggestion would be that this app has a lot of potential, but it is seriously lagging marketing exposure. Even I used this app after using like 7-8 grocery delivery app. Team should make people aware of this app..✌more

Oct 4, 2018 The delivery is usually on time as mentioned. There are not much items available, need to improve that. I don't like the app feel and usability. 1 product takes almost more than half the screen. It would have been better if we could have 4 or 6 products in one screen page like Amazon shopping app.more -
Could be great with some minor changes
Jul 29, 2018 Overall very useful and easy to use. The filters in some cases aren’t great. Also, it gives you the option to apply no replacements to your whole cart but then to individual items which is confusing. More importantly, there should be an option for you to choose how you would like to be contacted about order issues. I had an order with a couple items they said were out of stock but the notifications didn’t come through right away and by the time they did it was too late to tell them to make a replacement, whereas a call would’ve been much simpler. Overall though, few issues with using the app.more

Oct 15, 2018 I will not suggest this to buy vegetables.. it is waste of money. And this is not the first time. Either they are not fresh or they are rotten/spoiled. Other products are good. And the minimum purchase amount, it would be good if you can remove it and make it common for all the stores. It is hard to forcefully make 500/- from all the stores.more -
Service is Great, App UI Needs Work
Mar 14, 2020 The three stars are for the availability of this service. It is a huge time saver and SO convenient. Thank you!! However, the app UI should take notes from Instacart. I’d like to be able to sort items by diet, such as gluten free. Also, once you place your order, you should be able to add items up until the shopper starts your order. Occasionally it’s been 36 hours between the time I place the order and the first available delivery time so we often run out of additional items by then but I can’t add them. Lastly, the messages and notifications are buggy. I am not always notified of items being out of stock and the replacements by the shopper are rarely right. I am celiac and they will replace gluten free pasta with regular pasta. Please make these updates for an even better user experience!more -
Could be better
Dec 3, 2020 Since COVID, had been ordering from WholeFoods via the Internet for home delivery and it was fine. Decided to try the dedicated app when switching to curbside pickup to see if anything was better. It’s just okay, should be better. I don’t understand why the app lacks the simple feature to make a “Favorites” list to order off weekly. And, when compiling a weekly order over a few days time, items “disappear” from your order when your store is suddenly are out of stock, meaning you might think you ordered something but actually have not. When ordering through the website, at least an item is ghosted out, so you know to look for an alternative. I appreciate the overall service and am grateful to those who make it happen, but would also appreciate an improved app in the future.more

Significant deterioration in service
Jan 15, 2019 Prime now used to be great, with two hours’ notice you could get a free two hour delivery window and the food was always what was requested. It’s really fallen off and feels like an abuse of market power to get a lesser service for the same cost. You now need four hours’ notice to get a free two hour delivery window, which is consistently at the back end or late, the shopper will substitute your food for a more expensive product after waiting only a couple of minutes to confirm, and recently the delivery person straight up didn’t deliver my food but scanned it as delivered nonetheless. The most insulting this about that was they could refund but not process reordering on my behalf (not a big deal but was a pain) and they didn’t refund the tip for the delivery that didn’t make it to me, I had to call up and request it be cancelled out. If the service keep deteriorating at this rate I will soon stop using itmore -
Terrible Service for Whole Foods purchases
Jul 4, 2019 Hate that there is no communication between you and the order picker. There are always items missing in the app that are in the store and there is no way to communicate. When you want to order Serrano peppers...you can order by the lbs but not by the item. Also, if they are one minute late, they cancel your order with no notification....also can’t pick up the order if they cancel the delivery (again with no notice). One time I put coolers on my front porch with a note for the driver to place in them...and they just placed next to the coolers. Shipt is much better customer service..unfortunately cant order from Whole Foods...guess I’ll have to just buy from the regular grocery stores cause can’t deal with this terrible service.more -
Mar 9, 2019 There is almost very low use of this app. Inventory always out of stock for basic essential items. Ready to eat items are mostly delivered near expiry date. App's search feature is ineffective. It shows irrelevant results. For example, on searching sugar, it shows everything other than sugar so in turn it feels like sugar is not available but actually it is. Its huge waste of time searching products on this app.To get free delivery, one has to spend a lot of time as basic items are not available.more -
Oct 19, 2018 Hi Team You have missed a simple logic and most of the customers are facing this issue now. App is not allowing to view item description page and order the items from previous orders. For sample, if I have orders some 15 items in my old order last month. I can't choose the same products from the order items. Each time I have to view my order items make a note of it and the search the items again in search View open and then order... Which is looking stupid Please escalate about this with your app development team and get this basic feature added to app.more

Mar 11, 2020 I wouldn't order my groceries from Amazon Pantry even if it were the last option! - They firstly ask you to opt for a slot and arrive 3 hours earlier. - They then go on to say you rejected the order, but the app says they've delivered your groceries. - When you call and make a complaint, you receive a call from someone who simply cannot stray from the script he's given. - The agent then tells you that the items are damaged and that you will receive a refund! Just what I was looking for!more
What’s Groovy
3 stars because it is "Amazon", or I would have given a 1 star due to the service provided. I took leave from work just to collect the month's groceries I ordered and nothing came through. I thought it may be delayed due to very heavy rains that day. Next day I cannot see my order only. So called CS and was then told my whole order was canceled. So I made up my mind then, no more grocery shopping from here. But I still love the other amazon services.

What’s Subpar
App freezes all the time. I have to delete, reinstall, re-log-in just to order, complete an order, check in. Etc. Very frustrating. Several times, I couldn’t check in on way to pick up because app froze. So, I have to wait extra time at pick up. Searching for foods is not simple.
There’s no way to send messages, special requests, or communicate with the shopper. Sometimes the app doesn’t show something that I know the store has, so I’m unable to purchase that item. Ive also ordered food for that night’s family dinner only not to receive that one vital item from my order. Customer service explained that prime’s contract with Whole Foods limits the quantity of products that can they sell to customers. So, The store may have 6 widgets, but I can only get 1 widget. Which is not enough widgets to feed my family.
The only reason I use this service is because Whole Foods is about 30mins from home and they’re the only store that sells many of our daily foods and products. Otherwise, I would happily say goodbye to this service. If I place the order a day before, I may be able to get a favorable delivery window. Otherwise, not so much.
I want to love this service, but it’s sadly lacking. Hopefully, it will improve.
