  • Very short, but sweet Nov 3, 2020

A cute continuation of Alter Ego, I was wondering what Es would be doing when I wasn’t around to greet her. It ended up being a lot shorter than I thought it would be for the price point, though the additional conversations behind IAP’s in Alter Ego has a similar length to them for their prices. Regardless, I liked being able to explore this aspect of Es and hope to see more of her either in this app or something else in the future.

I enjoyed the game without I doubt, they gave more in depth reading of the books from the previous game and gave a look of es in a different style of drawing and setting. It really is a great game for those of you who enjoyed alter ego. The art and writing is beautiful, and I enjoyed the mini games and systems in placed into the game. I really do wish to see more of this type of game play as the 'dreams' where a really nice touch and I would not mind paying more for such content.

I bought this game because I absolutely fell in love with the first one. It was so incredibly interesting because I’ve never heard of a self-discovery game before. When I heard a second game was coming out, I was really excited to play it and I thought the novel would be similar to the first, but I realize the developers chose to go into a different direction with this visual novel. This novel focuses on a romantic relationship between Es and the wanderer, and as a female player I honestly don’t have a problem with that, but the gameplay and the visual parts were honestly reallyyy boring... I was kind of expecting more... I mean the first game talked about amazing subjects like ego and ID and it was all so enlightening, but this visual novel talks about how Es is obsessed(?) with the wanderer. It was honestly boring... I’m giving it four stars though because I loved the first game and I really want the developers to create more visual novels like the first.

I really enjoyed this game. The small series was rather enjoyable and I hope to see more in the future. The first game was nothing like I expected so this game definately had me on my toes. Great job on it and I'll be looking for more games that your company has made

  • More Es, what else could you want? Jan 19, 2021

Seeing the story from Es’ point of view was something that provides so much more depth to the story of Alter Ego. Seeing how lonely, bored, and isolated Es was before she met her Wanderer was sad but she is strong and seeing her make the choice to not settle for just dreams was bitter sweet. I couldn’t help but smile whenever I saw a new illustration. This game was short but sweet.

Well it's a short and bittersweet game. I got to delve into books with Es and listen to more of her thoughts and see her dreams, and the post completion scenario in the other game brings the same emotion. I can understand why people feel that it costs a bit much, but the creators need to earn their keep and ads would certainly mess with the immersion so I won't comment on that. I certainly hope for more things to come, and that we'll learn a little more about this lonely world.

Honestly, the game is very well-made and discusses Es' character very well, but it's very slow and the gameplay is quite boring and repetitive. I'm glad I bought it when it was on sale because it was really short and I feel as if the original price wasn't very fair. The game is wonderful though. Thank you for this experience.

Music and art is as beautiful as the first game. Complex is simple but lovely. Although it was a little short, I have faith that this isn't the end. I think there will be an update or ending of some sort someday. One where Es does go free at the cost of us never being able to see her again. That's fine with me. Although this is just my wishful thinking. I'll keep dreaming about that happy ending.
