(03/30) New app? Disappointing! I was told by the customer service at the end of last year that this app would get a revamped with more details about the sensor readings. Guess what, after 3 month+ wait, we got a new app with *A BUILT-IN WEB BROWSER* to the webpage where we could check the details online before. What a genius idea! I would switch to a competitor in a heartbeat and would not buy your products anymore. Good luck

Terrible app. Not doing the sync automatically in the background to alert you of any potential dangers. You have to manually open the app and sync in order to see the last values and then at that moment you will get the notifications. Not very safe for that reason.

Not sure I can trust this device
Recently bought an old home and wanted an accurate and active radon sensor in the basement to make sure the family is safe. Setting up and syncing the wave to the app was simple enough (minus the annoying required account setup which does nothing to save collected data). Initial results started displaying in about an hour which is great compared to charcoal tests. Levels then fluctuated rather drastically from 2 pCi/L to almost 8 pCi/L and back over the course of about a week. While in the process of getting a professional over to discuss possible radon mitigation needs, the device stopped syncing data with the app. After following Airthings’ trouble shooting guide the device crashed and rebooted while knocking on it to begin Bluetooth pairing. All collected data is now lost. At least I took some screenshots of what I had but there is nothing in the app for an expert to review tomorrow. When trying to identify if an invisible and initially symptomless gas is posing a threat to me, my wife, and the babies I want a bit more confidence in the measurement tool in use. Very possible this was just a glitch, or maybe a defective unit but so far it has not made a great impression and there are other options on the market. -
Unreliable connectivity
I like having a way to know the radon levels in my basement and the device offers that, but its unreliable connectivity is making me an unsatisfied customer. Even more so since the device results are only really useful when viewed on the app. Since I got the device, Airthings released a few app updates and one firmware update, supposedly aimed at fixing some of these issues, but nothing has changed. Sure, the initial setup is easy and so on, but on a day to day, when I look at the app while right next to the device, it’s always a battle to make it connect to the app. I’ve got many other Bluetooth devices that connect seamlessly via Bluetooth; this one sure isn’t one of them. If all you care is the green/yellow/red ring on the device itself, then go for it; if you care about actual numbers, you’re goi g to be disappointed... at least until Airthings seriously gets onto this core issue. UPDATE: even after firmware updates, connectivity remains an issue. I’d stay away from this product... half the time you’re fighting with it just trying to connect to it. -
Just ok
Looking at past reviews, it seems like there have been constant issues with the app. When I first received the Wave, it would not pair with my phone. I was frustrated and left it alone for 2 days. Tried again and it finally paired. I’ve had many problems where it won’t sync. Had to: turn phone off and back on or close app or turn Bluetooth off then back on or do full resync, or delete app and reinstall. Recently, it won’t sync at all after trying all those things. I like the charts and being able to average over 48, week, or month. It would be nice if we could select length of time for the average. I’m giving it a little more time before I give up and return for a refund. 2 stars for now.

Graphs very poorly designed and uninformative which more or less invalidates the purpose of the device (Wave Mini).

developer, this app need notifications! So when something gets to high it sends a notification.

The app is gimped by design so that they can sell you their hub device for 79 euro. Despicable practice from a despicable company.

Stops synchronizing and stops collecting data
Set the device up, after 3 days of functioning properly the device stopped synchronizing with the app. After multiple attempts last remedy was to remove battery’s and start over, which cause total loss of data. Worked for 2 days after that and then sensors start to miss data. Device still synchronizes but 4 out of 6 sensors stopped reporting values. Last two sensors stopped 2 days later. I guess need to remove data again and will loose all data again. As is not a useable device. -
This is a woefully useless app. All the functionality you are looking for is on the web app dashboard. Given how easy it is to develop seamless web/mobile apps in 2020, I was shocked by how poor this app was.
