When you stumble upon a pair of jeans or a shirt you like, you're often hesitant to buy because you can't know if you'll need the extra $40 in a few weeks. After pay allows you to pay over 4 installments so you can afford the small things you want.

  • Afterpay is the better than credit! Mar 13, 2021

I love that Afterpay gave me a chance to shop and buy items that I’d been wanting to purchase, Without having to go through an extensive credit approval process and high interest rates! I can pay off my purchase at any time or pay it out in installments. It’s easy to use, and so is the approval process! The only thing I don’t like, is the payment schedule. I stayed that I get pd every other Friday. That’s when my payments are due. If you are on automatic payments, they may try to draft them before you can get your check in the bank, or before your check hits your acct., then that goes against you. That’s not right! The due date is that day, right? Why does it matter what time I make the payment, as long as it is made that day? Also, if you have more than one order, it may not correspond with your pay day?! The payment for all orders should definitely be charged on your payday. You shouldn’t have to change your due date or get a message from Afterpay saying oops! Your payment couldn’t be processed, because you didn’t have sufficient funds, just bc you haven’t received your check yet, or haven’t had a chance to deposit it. Not everyone gets their checks right after midnight on their payday. This has happened to me, although I have made my payments, it’s gone against me, bc they tried taking it before my check hit. That’s not right. Otherwise, I love Afterpay!

I love the afterpay app it is very convenient when you're needing something at that moment. I would have given it 5 stars but I can never make more than one purchase in a row. From different stores. It always stops me from doing it even though I pay on time actually before time. But otherwise it's a great app.

This popped up when I was making a purchase online from somewhere else and decided to go ahead and apply… I was immediately approved for $300 of credit line and when I paid that off, I turned around and bought a pair of pants that I’ve been dying to get from White House Black market! My favorite turquoise pants ever that were over $200! It makes it extremely easy to get what you want when you don’t have the funds immediately or don’t want to use your credit at that particular time because there’s no interest and no application fee. I was approved within less of a minute and once I paid off my first two purchases, my credit line is now up to $1200! I saw that someone stated something about insufficient funds when it’s payday for AfterPay and all I can say to that is, if you’re living day by day (week by week/payday to payday) financially, you probably shouldn’t be shopping online anyway… 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ This person was complaining about insufficient funds because she couldn’t make her payment on time, again.. don’t play the “Rob Peter to pay Paul” type deal. If you can’t afford to shop, simply do not shop! (They do NOT report to credit bureaus nor will it help your credit score) It’s simply a great way to shop especially right before Christmas! Thank you AfterPay!

I got approved for this app Afterpay: Buy now pay later so far it is easy to use and navigate. I think it needs more stores though. I really don't use these stores but I will check it out again next month . I got approved for a better amount than Affirm App but the stores seem a lot more expensive and they are very specific like Nike apparel, a make up store and and other appeal stores. Thanks Afterpay and employees too.

Very much love the flexibility, convenience and how easy this app works! With so much going on with the pandemic, this app provides stress free shopping. Knowing you have to put down a quarter of your total gives you the liberty of shopping. Of course everyone has to keep in mind what they can afford as a payment every other week. If you buy any day of the week, expect your payment to fall that same day every other week. I usually purchase on pay day or weekend to make sure I have the funds available for payment. Afterpay provides days in advance reminders so you wont forget your payment is coming up even though the payments go through automatically. Such a stress free system! I had ordered from a store that i never received the package. I contacted the vendor and they notified afterpay immediately and they refunded the amount I initially paid as a down payment. I also had an order i returned due to wrong items, and the vendor automatically let afterpay know once they received the products to credit me back or remove the existing balance left. I really love the app and currently expecting my first child!! So i will definitely be making purchases. To know i don't have to pay it all at once is definitely a life savor! Thank you creators!!!

I've made several purchases with this app now ranging from small to large purchases that include gift cards. It seems like you unlock more access to things as you make purchases, which makes sense. I guess if it's like a membership-based thing which I imagine sometime in the future they'll eventually charge for this service, but it does come in handy. It is nice. Application is easy to use. Everything is straightforward.

I love Afterpay. A little TOO much lol. I’m thankful that it only allows me to have only 4 open orders at a time because I have an insane shopping problem. But it’s so convenient and easy to use. My credit is not that great either and they didn’t check my credit or add any ridiculous additional charges (if they charge anything at all). I wish I could use Afterpay to build my credit tho! Lol. I’m impressed with the variety of stores that allow you to pay with AP. I used it through Finish Line for shoes, Buy Buy Baby, and I recently purchased the DB Method squat machine using AP. I’m hoping to get a nice tv! The app and site are easy to use and viewing your orders and payment schedules is not complicated at all. You can also change the payment date or get an extension. I’m also very pleased with their response to refunds. I had a package from Finish Line get stolen and I was able to get a refund easily without dealing with anyone but Finish Line. No having to go and file any reports or claims or making any annoying phone calls. All smooth sailing. I love this dang app so much LOL.

Love the ability to get items, and pay on them over time. However, had to let it go because they do not accept debit cards payments. They took it to pay a past due balance, but will not allow it for reaccuring payments. This is the only way I receive my deposits. So going to have to delete this app.

Easy to use interface, helps locate a variety of stores big & small businesses and offers certain discounts regularly for use when buying from one of their participants. Payments are spread out over a 4 payment schedule. As each payment is gets close to being due they send reminders to you of the actual due date as well as the price for that installment. You can pay it off completely with no additional charges or pay more than one payment at a time which is assigned to the correct purchase installment. I’d say it sorta resembles an online Lay-Away program only in this modern day and age you get to receive & begin enjoying your purchases right away as long as you pay the first payment upon checkout. This app handles it all beautifully, all the info you could need or are looking for is readily accessible within the app and I’ve yet to come across any glitches or issues. Only request I’d have is that it would be convenient to be able to forward a detailed receipt via email if for any reason you need to.

Streamlined app that makes it easy to find the stores you’re looking for and even easier to keep track of what you’ve purchased, when payments are due, and how far you are into your payment plan. The only drawback is that not every website that partners with this uses Afterpay in the same way, so you have to navigate it a bit through trial and error to figure out what you’re doing. For example, some websites have Afterpay listed specifically as a form of payment, but then don’t link to your app to login- and others don’t have Afterpay listed as an option, you have to have the Afterpay card set up on your phone as a form of Apple Pay and then keep the app open while you’re using Apple Pay on the store’s app (this is how Lululemon does it). I thought it wasn’t linked for Lululemon for a while, and then thought that it was broken as a payment system until I did enough trial and error to figure it out. Once you’ve gotten the hang of it, though, it’s smooth sailing.

My first two purchases went through without a hitch but the next purchase ($45) got declined even though I had what they stated was a possible spending limit. Thier disclaimer is ridiculous. If I'm going to get declined for further purchases then why even put that amount there. All other bnpl apps give you exact dollar amount you are allowed to spend. I had no issues with payments until I had to get a new debit card. I put the card in and I thought I made it my default card but when my payment was due they tried the old card ( it didn't let me take that one out) and the next day I get a text stating my payment didn't go through. I went in and immediately made the payment choosing the correct card. A week later I noticed that my spending limit went down to $16 even though I had only one account with a balance of $33 left. I do not plan on making another purchase ever again with Afterpay. Klarna and Zipit are much more user friendly. You can add and delete cards at anytime, the amount your allowed to spend is clearly displayed without a disclaimer and it is immediately impacted when you make a payment. Klarna allows you to change due dates and the dates can even be out by two weeks. The customer service woth afterpay is terrible as well. It took almost four days for them to respond to my email versus an immediate resolution with Klarna chat.

After paying first time using the app purchase early, it rejects all other purchases saying denied due to past history with Afterpay. And they won't delete your information out of their system. This is a scam to collect personal information. Support won't help you. There are better options than this like Zip that doesn't do the bait and switch. Beware this crooked company.
  • Very Frustrating Nov 28, 2019

I first started using Afterpay last month when I made a rather large order. The idea and the concept is really cool but the app is a pain to use. I made the first payment on my order two weeks later as scheduled and it gave me a notification saying that the payment went though and it gave me my new remaining balance. Two days later, me email gets bombarded with emails from Afterpay saying that my payment was declined and they had tried to take the payment over and over again when it didn’t work the first time. When I first authorized the payment on the app, I had the money to cover the payment. When they tried over and over again to make the payment, it overdrafted my checking account and put me in the negatives screwing me over for groceries. Just recently, I had to make a switch to a new debit card through my job and when I tried to add it to my payment methods, it kept saying “Oops! There was an error in your billing information! Please try again!” Even though all of my info was correct. I went to the customer support section and found out that until the first order that you made is completely paid off, you can’t add another payment method! This service is not convenient at all and is a massive headache to try to use. I am going to pay off what I owe and I’m never using Afterpay again. I definitely would NOT recommend them to anyone.

This app sucks!!! I do not recommend it ,after I pay off my current purchase, I will UNISTALL IT, Zip (Quadpay) is the best, it will NEVER DECLINE one a purchase, but Afterpay is terrible and will decline even if you have balance in your credit line. Summary: Afterpay is useless discriminative app. I can never recommend Afterpay to anyone.

Not so much. So when afterpay works its good. The app is hard to search for shopping. It's very odd. They have great products like gift cards then remove your ability use them They give misleading approval amounts to spend and waste your time.. The in store locator changed to make it hard to determine where to go. It quit searching a wide area and you can only do one zip at a time . Don't expect to be able to use your approval every time, be prepared for disappointment and wasted time.

Waist of time. Shows the approval amount. Works 1 minutes. Then declines the rest of the time. Their algorithm is a joke. Don't waist time shopping then upon checking out get declined with no explanation or reason as to why. Left me scratching my head. I've gotten approved for other things. But still can't grasp why this declines all the time. Diffinetly not going on credit report

App logged me out... Won't let me sign back in, keep getting, "Sorry we had trouble signing in." Well if you didn't randomly sign me out right before my damn payment date this wouldn't have been an issue, now would it. Of course, now my payment is late cause I can't get into my account... Even if I could, customer service never gets back to you... Unless you contact the BBB... Which is what I did last time after I still had no response after 2 weeks. Funny, they immediately got back to be then.

Used to have zero issues with the service. I've missed zero payments and always pay early. At times I had over 20 orders with no problems. Now I get declined if I have more than 5 orders out, even when not using but 10% of my available spending power. Reached out to customer service and as expected I just get a typical cut and paste response.

This app is a joke. My first two attempts to make a purchase on Amazon the cards where declined. The third attempt went thru. It was only a $30 order. I made all the payments even paid the last payment off early. Next time I try to use it they wouldn't approve my order for another $30 said it was because of my payment history. So I pay to good? Get Zip formally Quadpay. That app works so much better and I have place 5 orders thur it no problem. Avoid this app. 1 star

When I started using Afterpay it was nice, I could buy things at 200 or 100 and pay them off on time, being nowhere near my 500 limit. Now I can't even buy something at 40, with no pending orders and my limit at 500. Such a ripoff.

I have had this app for two months already purchased and paid off four items, sadly it don't report for your doing goods to the credit but honest I don't care because I still faithful and responsible because this app helps me get me what I want and I only make four payments every two weeks I personally enjoy and love this app. If anything else I will be sure to update here. But as of now and now on I LOVE AFTERPAY, AND RECOMMEND.

This is the only App I’ll ever write a review on! It’s great! I’ve never been able to shop more comfortably in my life! I’ve been using after pay for a while now and I have been able to redo my whole wardrobe and then some! I recommend this app/payment method for anyone who is hesitant to shop. They split the payments in 4! And you pay every other week... and with all these new updates they make it a lot easier if you need to make smaller payments in between, reschedule a payment for whatever reason or pay your items off early if you can! I definitely RECOMMEND Afterpay. Also the most professional rather than those other Apps (I won’t say). I may have had one issue with Afterpay but it wasn’t even there fault it was the company using Afterpay. But they are super fast with refunds and great on customer service if ever there is a issue. USE THEM! Only negative I have: I wish they had more electronic, household, and shoe stores. And if we could put our favorite stores in a list or put a star by them that would be great!

I love the afterpay app it is very convenient when you're needing something at that moment. I would have given it 5 stars but I can never make more than one purchase in a row. From different stores. It always stops me from doing it even though I pay on time actually before time. But otherwise it's a great app.
  • I love afterpay....but Apr 16, 2020

I love afterpay, I use it to buy myself anything I want or might need. I’m a mom of 3 who always puts my babies first and a lot of time that means I go without, which is fine. I really love afterpay, I use it to buy myself new shoes, sports bras, skincare products, etc that I can’t afford to pay outright for. It’s awesome. My only complaint is if you don’t have money in your account at 12am the morning you payment is due they count you faulty, instead of doing so if your payment isn’t paid by midnight the day it is due. I always pay my payments the day they’re due, the majority of the time I even pay them crazy early, so to have them count against me despite getting money in my account later that day (pay day) and making my payment is frustrating. I’ve never been a day late, always paid the day they’re due if I’ve not paid them earlier so I feel they should revise that. Other than that I’m just afterpaying my way on up. I appreciate the ability to get things and make payments, it’s a massive help for working moms and dads out there.

Love the ability to get items, and pay on them over time. However, had to let it go because they do not accept debit cards payments. They took it to pay a past due balance, but will not allow it for reaccuring payments. This is the only way I receive my deposits. So going to have to delete this app.
  • Love it but... Jun 6, 2020

I have been using Afterpay for about 2 years now. I have spent thousands of dollars through them. I faced financial hardship due to COVID. I contacted them and they were very nice and said I would have to make my next payments until July. I really only needed a week or so to get my financials in order. I paid it off a few weeks later. I really appreciated them being so cool and I love that about this company (I had to do it once before when my card came up with fraudulent charges). Now that I’m back to work I’ve been trying to use Afterpay like I had before. To my dismay and as another reviewer put it, I am being “punished” for my not being able to pay on time. I completely understand that this is a business and they can’t just go off the promise of the customer that they will pay. I just hate the way they go about it. I have been allowed to make a few small orders which I have been paying off early but I usually get an message telling me I need to pay off some things before I can order anything else (understandable). I paid off 3 payments and still wasn’t allowed to order anything at all. So basically they lied. This app is pretty much useless now.

I have to agree with many of the users. When it works it's been awesome majority of the time it does not. You click on a link, for instance the gift cards, the screen shows up for one split second, and then goes white. I have had this happen on a few others as well. If we're not able to use something, then let us know. More problems than worth it. Sorry Afterpay really wanted to give you a good review

Your going too loose stars now Iam told I don't have latest update Android my phone is less than a year old. Yes it is your card machine is down. I can't get back into my own account. Uninstalled resinstalled, won't let me get back into my account. You have an account " I Know I Do I Do" !!! I did the updates used during Christmas. I am waiting on refund.

Its seems to be okay, but it gives me no options of how to pay for what i purchase, i have my card on file but no place to scan it. I see nothing on the app. I tried going to the website, & still see nothing. I hope something changes soon or i am just going to close my account & forget it

Used to have zero issues with the service. I've missed zero payments and always pay early. At times I had over 20 orders with no problems. Now I get declined if I have more than 5 orders out, even when not using but 10% of my available spending power. Reached out to customer service and as expected I just get a typical cut and paste response.

Love the concept but your system never works. I went from being approved for 1000 down to 200 and now 0 even though I've made over 2 dozen on time payments. And my rewards went away. Awful execution. I wish I could give a better review as I loved the app til now.
