Works a lot better now than it used to.. no more crashes and no problems with restarting and saving workouts.. One thing thats annoying to me personally is that excersises automatically use reps from the last time you did it and not planned ones. It would also be nice if you could restart a whole program and fill up the wheel all over again instead of restarting single workouts

Going to the gym always gave me anxiety, and even when I’d push through it and go, I didn’t really know exactly what to do. I’d often go in without a plan and just do what I was used to and comfortable with and (naturally) wouldn’t see results, and get discouraged. This year for Christmas, I treated myself to both of Kate’s guides and I’ve already started to see results. I love that the app provides you with videos on exactly how to do each workout, a section to track how much weight you lift, and that the app sends you alerts which motivates you to get back to the gym. I never really loved the gym, but this workout guide (currently on #1 but already bought her second one lol) has taught me to push past my comfort zone, stay consistent, be patient, love myself with where I’m at right now, be proud of myself, AND I have started to looooove going to the gym (something I always used to just tolerate). Thank you Kate for creating an amazing guide—it’s brought me confidence, a love for fitness, a love for the gym, and the motivation I needed to stay on track. This guide is TRULY invaluable. 100% worth the investment because it’s an investment in YOURSELF!! It’s been one of the best things I ever did for myself! Thank you x 100! Xoxo

App is a bit klunky at times. Work out routines are superb, though I had to cut back on some of the sets/reps due to age and time. Think more for 20-30 year olds (I'm nearly 50). Getting there though slowly. Some of the videos don't match the exercises.

Hi y’all. A little context — I’ve struggled with body dysmorphia and anorexia/bulimia my whole life. For me, exercise is the best way to keep those demons in check, and with the pandemic and gyms closing I was extremely depressed and frightened that without an outlet and all the other amazing benefits of exercise, my EDs would flare up again. I’m the type of person who’s tried every workout this and that and hadn’t been able to find an at home program that I could actually stick with consistently, so I was scared and desperate until my best friend introduced me to *drum roll* Natacha! Not only are the workouts paced — one workout, including breaks, takes only 60min — they are manageable, trackable, and varied. I literally have not done the same exercise twice and after 10 weeks, I’m stronger than I could have imagined, physically and mentally. Unlike other apps, Natacha guides you in slowly so you don’t get discouraged — the first week is challenging but MANAGEABLE, so you don’t want to quit after day 1. I love this app, I have so much gratitude for Natacha and I hope this review helps someone to take that step and invest in yourself.

I have always found it difficult to create my own workout plan and stick to it, with the guide I know exactly what I’m doing when I get to the gym and I have no excuses! It pushes your boundaries and it’s fun to see how you progress with each exercise because you can read notes you left on that workout from previously as well as what weights you used. The videos make it super simple to see what you’re doing and you don’t have to google what you’re about to do. I am only 3 weeks in and I feel like my muscles are more pronounced (I am using cut reload). 10/10 would recommend to anyone trying to get their fitness routine sorted! For 6 months of consistently half doing at the gym 5 days a week, going 4 days a week using this program really has made the world of difference! I would say one negative is sometimes mid workout the app crashes and you lose your time stamp and have to renter your workouts, however the weight you were at is still there you just have to tap the buttons again so not a super big deal.

I like this app, however sometimes the exercises won't let you log that you did them. This seems to be a glitch it about 1 exercise per session. Also, it would be great if the timer was visible as you moved down the exercises. It drives me crazy when I have to scroll up to the clock, back down the the exercise when I need the timer. It would also be helpful if you could watch the tutorial and see the timer at the same time.

I’ve never seen or even heard of anything like this app. It’s amazing. It’s an ultimate, convenient tool for people to follow an athlete’s workout. It’s a great way to monitor your time spent exercising, notes per workout, reps, sets, splits, dates, and more. I love how every time I’m on a workout, I can easily see the dates/notes/stats of my last workout to clearly give me direction. Highly recommend it to anyone interested in taking their fitness to the next level. After 1 week, I’m already obsessed. For the creators, I’d like to see an option that displays in the reps that you weren’t able to complete the amount of reps that the workout provides. I understand that you can leave a comment in the notes but I’d like to see it display on the main screen with the reps. Maybe in like red font showing me in the future that “hey you weren’t able to get all of the reps required.” This will help me know what weights to use in the future times I try that exercise. Thank you for reading this!

I love this app! The only problems I have with it are that if you have multiple sets of the same exercises (with the same number of reps) on the same day, when you do one of them and check it off it automatically marks the other iterations of that exercise complete, too. So when I have three circuits of burpees for 30 seconds each, when I finish the first one and mark it done, it marks all the sets of burpees as being done. This is annoying because I can’t accurately track how far I am into my workout! Also, this app doesn’t work well with progressive overloading. I have three sets of squats, with the first one at 50% max weight, second set at 75% max, and third at full max weight. Unfortunately, when it asks me to input the amount of weight I’m using each time, it erases the weight I used for the set before that and replaces it with the new number. Fix these things, and the app would be perfect!

Edit: The app is much better. Happy to use it now. Well done on the improvements 👍 After the update yesterday nothing works anymore. Navigation buttons work but I cannot start a workout or track reps. Just started a training guide and I'm seriously disappointed. Edit: this was when I had a slow connection the app work, albeit very slowly. Reps should be saved locally and synced when there is a stronger connection.

I have used the app with no issues in the past but lately none of the guides load on it and despite being in contact with the support centre, nothing has been resolved after a couple of weeks. It's very dissapointing because I found the app very useful.

Since more than 2 months i can't access ALL the Programms I have purchased. When I open the app all I see is a blank page. I have tried all the tips on the website but nothing worked so I contacted their costumer service on the 27.02.2021 and until "now" (12.04.2021) they don't know what's the problem. And I still can't access anything.
  • Love this app but problems Nov 21, 2018

    By Joseph S Fitzgerald
This app is wonderful I’ve used it to save thousands of dollars over using a personal trainer. Now there’s issues with the app one of them is the timer will freak at least stop randomly and you lose 20 minutes of time because you don’t notice that it had stopped. Another problem is when you save things under notes they don’t always save. Another problem is it supposed to save your progress but sometimes your progress is just deleted like is if you never did it before so you have to remember where you were at last time you did a work out. Another problem is if you use more than one device it doesn’t save your progress or are your notes from one device to another. So I found a lot of glitches in this app I don’t think the software has finished being developed yet. But for the price that is and how much a personal trainer cost it is a wonderful app for what you get. I would also like to see verbal instructions in the instructional videos. Sometimes the videos can be a little confusing on what you’re actually trying to do. Today I had another problem when I went to complete my work out it logged me out and make me log back in in all my information was deleted, recently did an app update put lost all set history

The app is relatively easy to use, but it becomes near impossible when it constantly freezes and crashes on me. I've been using programs on it for some time now, but these issues always come up and are very overdue for a fix.
  • Not impressed with updates Aug 13, 2020

    By Morgan WF
I used to love using the Aflete app but I’ve been very frustrated with the updates. Logging reps and weight is much more cumbersome and time consuming that it was before. For example, logging my rep weight requires me to click the text box, type the numbers, click ‘track’ which hides the number pad, so I have to click ‘track’ a second time. Previously I only had to scroll the wheel to my weight and click track. Way simpler and quicker. I also don’t like that my music pauses when I play a video in the app. It didn’t do that before but now I have to go back to my music app and restart the music after watching a demo video. Generally speaking I find the app much slower and less responsive to my touch/actions than before. I wish I had the option to use the old version again. All of these changes result in much more time spent on my phone during my workouts which is a huge frustration. I’m in the gym to work out, not fiddle with my phone. Unfortunately my trainer chooses this app to load her workouts so I have to live with these changes, but this will probably cause me to stop using the functionally within each workout and just mark the entire workout as complete as I finish them.

This app crashes every now and then when using, maybe about 60-70% of the time. Some days are worse than others. The worst days are those you just give up cos, clearing the cache, uninstalling and installing the app, doesn't work. So much patience needed to work out with this app.
  • Love my trainer’s guide, not so much the app Sep 22, 2020

    By lar_82
I find the app to be glitchy, response time is often delayed when tapping selections/buttons in general. If you switch apps it may lose your timer progress or you may have to re-input your reps. The design is quite basic and that would be alright so long as it worked seamlessly. A couple sessions were not logging after completed. A few times I had to re-select them as completed and it worked for most. I contacted support and it seems they still have to figure out what causes the issue. When clicking out of videos sometimes the arrow (which is tiny so you have to be very precise, not the easiest when your muscles are buzzing from a workout) does not respond to touch at all, so I have to rotate my screen a few times for it to respond. I’ve also had it freeze on a screen and I have to close and re-open the app, again losing tracking. It just very, very glitchy, and yes you can get around it mostly, but I’m disappointed as I feel there are other apps which are better and more fluid. For the record I love my trainer Natacha Oceane, but find it annoying to use the app every day.
  • Good workouts, absolutely terrible UI Jul 2, 2020

    By HMM1001
Ive never left reviews but I pray that a designer or engineer will see this review and improve this app. The only reason I use this app is to access natacha’s workouts. Otherwise the UI of this app is among the worst I’ve ever used. First off it clicks away from your workout page really easily if you accidentally swipe to the right and deletes all progress of your workout, you have to stay on the page throughout the whole workout without logging into other apps to save your timer. It also bugs out and inputs the incorrect number of reps and weights often. If you’re doing a time based rep it won’t even track it. Compared to formats like alive by Whitney or Sweat, the video is already not intuitive to view, it doesn’t automatically restart, and requires specifically clicking in the top left corner to exit from rather than a general swipe. The app has deleted my data before and lost my progress as well. It’s so buggy and overall if it weren’t for natacha, I would not be on this app at all. Please fix the bugs and improve the UI.
  • Previous weights lifted & poor detailed instructions Mar 14, 2019

    By JoeyVado
This function does not work properly..Does not save your previous weights lifted like it says it does. Information disappears after you save your workout and you cannot go back to reference it. Also the workouts lack any instructions whatsoever...If you are a beginner then this is really not for you since it lacks so much information. I had to lookup how to do numerous workouts since most workouts do not have a video showing you how to do it. Meal plan lacks much needed information on how to execute it properly. There were spelling errors throughout the whole program as well. Overall you guys should be embarrassed about how your platform is being utilized. I purchased this program from somebody off Instagram with over 1 million followers!! You would think the level of professionalism would be MUCH MUCH higher. I can only imagine how many people have felt lost and frustrated when using this app. SAVE YOUR MONEY. You can find free workout plans and meal plans online that would be much more beneficial and informative then what this offers you.
  • Slow and frustrating Jun 9, 2020

    By kirstenh26
I used the app before the update that redid the layout of the program, and it worked beautifully. I never had a problem. However, since that initial “redo” update the app has worked slowly, it lags constantly, and does not properly track workouts. As I progress through a workout, the app will initially register the exercise and weight I input, but then it will disappear. My progress through the workout program I’m doing is incomplete because after I complete a workout the page will go completely blank again. Sometimes I will click “track” after an exercise several times and it will simply not register. I’ve had to start logging the weight I use on what day in the notes app on my phone to track. Also, if i want to go back and restart a workout I’ve already completed, some exercises will not “undo” and then other exercises will not take input after they finally do “undo”. Very frustrating because I really enjoy the program I follow but the app is now super faulty!

Was very disappointed in a recent app update but the issues were fixed very quickly, which is super appreciated. Music keeps playing when you play exercise videos, which is my favorite thing about the app. The timer scrolls with you so you don’t have to jump all over the screen to see what exercise is next/how much time has passed. This is especially useful with interval/hiit training. Be aware that when you complete an exercise, it automatically defaults to you using 10.5 kg so you have to manually check that you used your body weight instead, but that setting sticks when you complete the next exercise which is great. Thanks to the app developers for working hard to fix these crucial features!

I’ve used it for eye ads and bought multiple workout programs through AFLETE (3 from Grace Beverly and 1 from Natacha Oceane) I’ve loved each one of them! The Natacha one is perfect for quarantine!! I’ve used other apps like Fitplan and I like how AFLETE doesn’t interrupt your music and tracks your progress! My only suggestions is that you should be able to adjust the reps per set in case you really pushed yourself that day and want to track that effort!! Also, I wish there were a timer for HIIT workouts that used sounds or watch haptics so you didn’t have to look at your phone or use an outside app.

I enjoyed Natacha Oceane's workouts via this app. I prefer this to following a YouTube video because you don't have to listen to the same music and explanations every time you do the workout, and obviously NO ADS.

App is a bit klunky at times. Work out routines are superb, though I had to cut back on some of the sets/reps due to age and time. Think more for 20-30 year olds (I'm nearly 50). Getting there though slowly. Some of the videos don't match the exercises.

Reps should be saved locally and synced when there is a stronger connection.

so far the app has been working well, the workout plan is amazing! I just wished that the individual timer for the exercise would sound so you dont have to keep watch of it to change colors when its done.

Thanks for the update! The app is much, much better now. Less laggy and the new timer for timed sets is very helpful. Back button on the phone still doesn't work for videos, which is a bit inconvenient during a workout, but not a huge deal.
  • What Else this app Needs Apr 22, 2018

This app is great and functions as described. The extra options that could be added are being able to have a complete restart button just like the one that already exists, it’s only a restart option for specific workouts. I am not sure if this next issue happens on all different influencers workout programs but it does happen on Ryan Casey’s program on this app. When I input new weight numbers for one exercise then it’s applied to all other days with the same weight. One day will call for 65% of your max so you input that number. Come the second time you hit they exercise in the same week and you’re told to do 10 reps of it but no specific instruction as to how much weight or even the % to do this at. More instruction or explanations as to why you are doing the number of reps you’re doing and what weight. On at least a quarter of he exercises this information in unclear.

My husband paid for the app exercise plan a long time ago. I wasn't motivated as i was already doing ok at the gym. Since lockdown i have gained weight and unable to visit the gym. We created a small home gym and i needed a plan that would work with my body weight and equipments we have. I dug this up.. the meal plan isn't great. Very limited and i find it rather unhelpful. But the exercise is good. I sweat each day i workout and i struggle to sweat even at the gym.

I've only done one program on the app, but so far I really like it. I will say, about 20% of the time it glitches so bad I can't track a workout that day. but it works enough that I keep using it.

Very good concept and design although the app definitely needs polishing, fixing glitches that sometimes ruin the experience (crashes, whole session reseted if leave it to go see a previous one...)
  • Glitches Aug 26, 2020

I like this app a lot. It’s pretty and good to use, but definitely has some glitches. 1. If I leave the app to change my music, even if it’s for like 10 seconds, it completely refreshes and leaves where I was at so I have to go back to the plan, the week, and day I was on and the timer restarts. So that’s annoying. 2. It doesn’t always work when I track my workouts. Like I press track and it does nothing so I have to “manually track” and it always gives me that “are you sure” pop up. 3. When I finish a workout, if all my circles aren’t “completed” (say I did 3/4 sets, and I want to track that I only did 3/4) it won’t complete the workout, it says it’s complete, but then I leave the workout and the circle is not on there saying I’ve completed that day. Lastly, this isn’t a glitch, but I definitely think there should be an easier way to restart workouts! You have to go to each day individually.

  • Lost all my progress Dec 2, 2020

    By Chelsea72792
I purchased my first workout a couple weeks ago and am new to Afelete. It was easy to use and would load videos. I’m bummed that with the update a couple days ago, I’ve lost all my progress. I can’t see how much weight I had been lifting, which is one of the key things I rely on to motivate me to workout. Even though my settings indicate I use lbs, it keeps defaulting my metric to be kg. It’s annoying to have to change it every time. I’m giving it 3 stars. The concept of AFLETE is great and was functional when i started, but the update is frustrating and sometimes the workout close and my timer stops. I’m forced to track progress old school (pen/paper). Only other thing I wish the app had was the ability to show you the last note you wrote to yourself so you didn’t have to go find your previous workout to know what you needed to work on next go around.
  • Loved it... until the update :( May 14, 2020

    By PLAYING WITH FIRE
I’m on week 7 of the HOME reload program and have been so happy with the app and my results since I’ve started! All of the moves have kept me moving and on my toes. However, today was my first workout with the new update and it completely distracted me from my actual workout. I had a HIIT workout and had to keep unlocking my phone when the app went to sleep. Also, I like to track the moves as I go and found it rather annoying that the timer didn’t move with it, especially during a HIIT workout. My last issue with the update is that whenever I clicked on a video to see a move, my music would stop and the app didn’t do that before. Overall, I have been loving the program and it was seamless up until now. Hopefully some of these things can be fixed. Love all that you do for the fitness industry and I’m excited to try more programs!! :)

  • Slow and frustrating Jun 9, 2020

  • Initially liked but lots of glitches Jan 13, 2019

My first few workouts were great! Loved that my whole workout was so accessible—could record the time, view videos of certain exercises, track my progress and my resistance/weights. But after the first week my program disappeared and I was told to delete and restore the app. I did this and my program came back but not any of the records I’d made of weight/resistance. Now the app won’t let me record the weight I use or any notes on a particular exercise which really defeats the purpose of the app for me. I can’t work on progressive overload so I keep writing random info in my notes app. Really frustrating that I can’t track my progress. That was a big motivator to challenge myself. The app just says that feature will be back “soon” but it’s been almost two weeks that it hasn’t been available. Very disappointed. At this point I’m basically using AFLETE as an e-book. Hope they can figure out this glitch ASAP.
  • Latest Update Issues May 13, 2020

    By Nikki 24601
The latest update has made screen a lot easier to read and navigate, but has made doing a HIIT workout impossible. The screen now goes dark after about 20 seconds, which means you can’t keep track of your time. When you go to mark the workout as complete, it opens up a new window and you have to mark weight/body weight. When doing a HIIT workout, that is a big time waste and not necessary. I just want to check it off! The final issue is that when I scroll to the next move, I am no longer able to see the timer at the top. This is super frustrating considering I didn’t have any of these issues before and that I am now going to use another app to properly track my workout and then record it retroactively in Aflete. Makes me wish I would have invested my money into a plan in a well-established platform that really understands the things needed for someone following an exercise routine.

Thought this was going to be videos I could follow like on Natachas Youtube channel. There are video samples of the exercises, but it's not one cohesive workout video - you have to click through them separately. Maybe there is supposed to be sound? There is no sound on my app. I feel like I was conned into paying 55+ bucks for a fancy workout timer. Of course, no refund is possible :(
