  • Great program and app Oct 26, 2020

    By Busy Mom 07
This is my first time using the program and app. The only thing that would improve it for me is the option to change the sound on the timer or add the vibrate option. I work from home and am often distracted by what is going on around me and I do not hear the alarm on the timer. By the time I remember it the meal is over, 25 minutes have passed and I did not pause. I could use that reminder to pause and think, allowing time to feel full versus continuing to eat mindlessly. Being new I am still learning that step. This may be available now and I just haven’t figured out how to change it. Otherwise great program and app. Easy to use. And best thing is no need to purchase extra stuff to help me learn to eat the right way.

  • iPad support please. Sep 30, 2020

The new look is nice, and I really appreciate the ability to speed up the videos. However, my biggest concern with the old app is still there, maybe even worse. On my iPad, when I put the videos in full screen mode, the aspect ratio is off so that the edges of the video are clipped. With the new version, it seems that the video quality is reduced, so I’m seeing a lot of pixilation. Overall, I really like the new look and I’m OK with using the app in “phone mode” at 2X, but watching the videos is now annoying.

Excellent! This app fully supports the Naturally Slim program. The program itself is unique: it works on the "how to eat" instead of the "what to eat". I'm in week 2, and I've learned a ton that has helped already. The program goes into detail on things that diets and other weight-loss programs only hint at (or miss altogether). The program is easy to put into action. Most importantly, I can tell it will be sustainable, and I'll be able to use what I'm learning for the rest of my life.

  • Has some issues... Sep 30, 2020

    By Purplelowrdr
The training videos often don’t open on the first try and you have to go in and out of the app at times to get them to play. The steps logging section initially worked well, but then the last 2 updates totally messed that up. At first, any entries from August 25 on got replaced with seemingly random, low numbers. (e.g., I might have logged something like 7509 steps and saved it and it changed the number to 13 after I closed the app.) After the last update, now every single entry I made (even the ones prior to August 25) have now been replaced with another seemingly random value different than what I entered. It is very frustrating that I lost all of that data.

Great program, App can use work. My main issue are very minor, but do effect my relationship with the app. The videos not having an expand button, so I have to take my phone off portrait mode, then I for get to turn it on. NS Town is clunky, and I just don't use it at all. I do recommend putting some sort of verification by your coach's names, I just think it would catch eyes more. The 10-5-10 timer only sounds an alarm if your sound is on, no one keeps their sound on.

  • Fail Oct 4, 2020

The newest version of he NS app is IMO a complete fail. Presentation and function are inferior to the previous app (which fortunately still works) and the most recent previous app was inferior to the one prior to that. Each successive attempt by some techie to leave their mark on NS, saddens me. One small example...Two versions ago the timer worked great. Beeped when it was suppose to and was easily accessible. The prior version to this one made unnecessary changes to the timer. This newest version is significantly more hideous and makes it practically unusable. Everything about the “enhanced” app is a complete turn off for me, and that is coming from someone who looks forward to new and improved tech, so I’m not one to not like it just because it’s different. I anticipate deleting this sophomoric version and using the old one until it no longer functions, then just not using a NS app at all. Too bad. The rest of the program is so good, one would hope the tech aspect would continually evolve and become better. Instead it has repeatedly regressed over time.

Videos keep stalling in the middle or near end and if you have to restart the app you have to watch the whole thing over again. Advice on NSTown is not personalizes for help with topics, just regurgitation of the videos.

  • This Review is for the App, Not the Program! Oct 27, 2020

    By Weezy J.
I love the program. If I were rating Naturally Slim, I would be giving it 5 stars. But this is for the app. And it’s so glitchy, I’m being generous by giving it 2 stars. The timer and meal tracking functions only work about 25% of the time. Often, the timer stops if my screen locks, so instead of 4 minutes having elapsed, it will show 1:50. The timer also runs slow! I know this sounds crazy, but those seconds tick by slower than my phone timer. Most of the time, after having dealt with a stopped timer several times throughout the meal (which really takes away from the enjoyment of the meal), I get to the end only to find that the description, picture, and hunger level are gone. So, I re-enter it and hope it saves. About 50% of the time, it will. The rest of the time it’s gone, so I have two options: fuggeddaboutit or redo all just so I can have a record of the meal. I’m actually okay with setting my own timer like I did before the app had a timer, but since the app has one, I believe it should function perfectly. Like other reviewers, I find the steps tracker is glitchy, too. 22 steps in one day?! (I didn’t set my phone down and leave it in one spot all day.) I have another app that tracks my steps, but it would be nice if all of these functions were in one app. Love the program. Dislike the app.

The program itself is great. However there is no sound for the timer when time is up. Also no prompt asking if you're ready to move on to the next phase within the timer and it just starts the next phase. Very frustrating and I do not like this new app. I have been using the old app for the timer because it has those things. Support hasn't been super helpful about it and only saying they'll note it for the product team.

  • Some features are not working Oct 17, 2020

    By Tbrun
When I try to enter meals, steps, or weight, it is very hard to do so. Adding documentation outside of “today” or real-time ends up in confusion. Currently, if I try to add a measure for yesterday (October 16th), I need to spin a monthly wheel to dial back. The problem is that I only see the months of November and December, not October, in the wheel. The number dates are not even visible, although I can tell that they are there in the background. I accidentally hit the area where the date numbers should be. I saw the numbers changing for my entry date. Given all of these work arounds, I am left to enter my information using invisible wheels of information! Kind of crazy! This should have been caught with testing prior to release.

This is my first time using a weight loss program. I really enjoyed the skills-based approach that the developers created. The content is superb—high-quality videos by experts in their own respects. The developers made this program easy to use and very supportive. I am on my third week in the program and couldn’t be happier with the developers philosophy and approach. Wishing everyone the best on their lifestyle change. Truly the program focuses on lifestyle change and not solely on weight loss, which can feel daunting and overwhelming.

  • Much improved version of app for a great program Sep 22, 2020

    By Laurakat2
I’ve been on the NS program for ~16weeks and just saw the new app. The program has been fantastic (I’ve already lost 17lbs without major lifestyle changes/feeling deprived). The new app itself is much improved. Videos are actually the right resolution so you can see the whole screen, it looks fresh and modern, and the data section that graphs your progress is scaled appropriately so you can actually see the changes relative to your goal.

I started the Naturally Slim Program last week and I’ve already lost three pounds by using the skills they teach. I even had a burger and Mexican food this weekend so I can’t believe I lost weight. I truly think this is a program that might work for me. The app is great. It is easy to watch the videos and log my weight. But the best part is the Eat Mindfully section. I’ve used it all week to make sure I’m using the skills and it has worked.

I am really enjoying the videos. In the past I have tried all kinds of diets. I would lose weight then gain it back. These videos are teaching me to slow down and really get tuned into my body and eat at a level 3. I am loving this program and I am excited about the results I will have after applying these skills that I am learning.

Good app and program. I'm less than two weeks in and am seeing a change in my eating behavior and weight already. I like the 10-5-10 timer to use, however, it resets mid-meals often if you use your phone for something else (during my 5-minute break it would be nice to check email or something while I wait). Other than that, I'm pretty happy with it so far!

  • New app looks great! Sep 30, 2020

I love the fixes in the new app, being able to see the videos full size is nice and I like having everything I need to see at a glance handy on the home page. I’m wondering if there is a way to add a hydration tracker? Some sort of widget where we could set a daily goal and check off every 8 oz of water/h2orange. That would be amazing. Thanks for making this journey easy and aesthetic. 😁

I really love the functionality of the meal timer in the weight tracker. Having the videos in a easily accessible area is convenient. These things really help me to follow the program. The only issue I’ve been having is that I generally need to close the app each time, otherwise it won’t record the next time I enter My weight or time a meal.

The UI on this version is cleaner and more up to date. I like. Problems I have with it include: No hunger saver option No audible time between breaks Why is there a text message sent during the meal? Too many steps to start a meal Too many steps to complete a meal Description portion of the meal tedious Photo portion takes too much time No time stamp when journaling food entries It is a step in the right direction but some of the features from the old app need to be incorporated in the new on

I am a bit frustrated with this new app. I cannot upload pictures, I click on the link, it takes me to my pictures and then when I click on the picture to add it just brings me back to the "add image, optional" icon. I also wish you could manage (turn on or offl) the alert/beep to the timer. I liked the beep in old app. I looked for help with why I can't upload images, but didn't fine one. For now, I will continue to use the old app as it works as expected.

Camera feature does not work for recoding pictures. Needs to link with more devices for tracking activity. Very limited in what you can do compared to other apps like this. Can't link to why Galaxy watch or S Health. Can't seem to edit time of meals, unless I mised something.
