When it works, it's great, but could use some tweaks. It seems to take over everything when plugged in to the cars' infotainment system. Meaning, if I want to listen to my car's radio when I start the car but I plug my phone in, AA automatically interrupts and will try to play my previous Spotify playlist. Instead, it should be just lying silently in standby, until I want to use it.

The app is great, very useful, I've been using it since 18 and never had a problem until I got my current s9+, now I have issues with the map staying connected with my truck and now when I receive a call, I have to hang up on the caller and call them back because when I try to answer it's just silence. These are hit and miss, while not happening all the time, they do occur often, 10+ times in a week. I'm still going to be a daily user of it and will continue to recommend it, hope this helps out

This used to be the best GPS app but for some reason it has become slower and has quite a few glitches. It works better when not connected to the car which kinda defeats the purpose. Not sure what has happened to my favorite app but can you attempt to rebrand it and make it the best app again. I waited a very long time for you and Toyota to link up and now the app decides it doesn't want to work very well anymore. C'mon Google! Get it together please.

Overall, okay. Just started using it on my car and still getting used to it. I like being able to see Google map on the screen in the car. Convenient and able to talk on the phone. What's confusing/challenging is the connection.... There are times after I started my car I have to stop my car few times to get connected to the Android auto, which's not gd for car. It takes a good 2-4minutes to get to the screen. While on the road, the app sometime shutdown. Had not tried out audio yet.

Some Good, Some Bad. When it works it works OK. But half the time it only partly works. I never know if I can make a call as it doesn't always give me my address book. Google maps doesn't disconnect completely upon reaching your destination. I must do it manually. On the positive side, it finds my music and plays it well. Overall not a bad app, just not great.

Hit or miss. Sluggish to connect. When it's working it's great but the lag time to connect and to switch between Apps is dismal. It will also randomly disconnect and then you have to wait a minute or two for it to reconnect. For some reason it always seems to happen during some critical time when navigating. It works but it's far from perfect.

I have a 2018 Ford fusion, and I have used this app almost on a daily basis because I travel a lot for work. Best app I had ever used!! I would have given 10 stars if I could have, but the app suddenly stopped working with my car completely. Android Auto doesn't even come up at all anymore in my car. I have tried everything I can, but can't get the app to work again. 🤨

It's a little better than it was, but there are always new issues. I got a pixel 6 thinking a that would eliminate some of the issues Samsung had. Well now I can't answer calls with my steering wheel and that sucks. I have called and no one seems to know why. I get disconnected a lot more with the pixel than I did with the Samsung too. That should never be the case. It should work better! Android is better than iOS, but AA is still a mess! That's almost a reason to just use Apple. It's senseless

I think the Android app is pretty cool, but is fairly generic. It would be nice if we could add other apps to it rather than having to go outside of the app to add little nuggets of features. It'd be nice if they use some type of test driven development approach or test first approach, or software craftsmanship to ensure that the app isn't buggy

I love Android Auto as a whole and use it daily. However, since the last update, it constantly randomly will disconnect and have to reload. It gets really frustrating (and quite frankly distracting) while driving on the road. Also, Spotify has started having problems loading with it now all of a sudden. Please fix these bugs and everything will be great!

Loved this app for the first several months I owned my 2020 CR-V, but then suddenly one day it literally stopped working as I was driving. For a while, it would work sometimes and then not others, sometimes it would work and then stop at random again. Now, it doesn't work at all. Tried multiple cables, no luck. VERY unhappy now.

I used to like android. However this app has ruined my phone. I have reset the phone to factory settings, taken it to Verizon and Subaru. Yet this app still doesn't work in the car (2019 forester). It says it's installed and fully updated but it never connects. It also never displays as an app on the phone. My wife's iPhone works with Apple play so I know it's not the car. And I know it's not the phone

Seems you all at Google aren't listening to your customers. We all have the same complaints. Used to work fine and now it doesn't. It used to display fine on my 2020 Subaru WRX screen and now it doesn't display at all. It won't even connect through USB anymore. Whatever you all did, please revert back to the previous version. If I wanted to use my phone screen for navigation purposes then it would defeat the purpose of hands free driving.

This new update is awful! The phone and the car no longer consistently connect properly. Audible doesn’t connect properly - that glitch WAS fixed and now isn't? Half the time I can't just listen (not watch) YouTube because the sound doesn't work. The phone doesn't connect properly and randomly doesn't go through blue tooth. The system just randomly freezes. It's very frustrating. It's not like you added new functions that aren't working yet, the things that did work no longer do.

I've been using Android Auto since May with no issues but this week it won't even acknowledge I have a message. Voice prompt says there are no messages when in fact there are. I feel this is a safety issue because the only way I can read a message is if I take my hands off the wheel to read. And how do you even reply if it's an urgent message? Whatever changes you made, take them back please.

This app has worked flawlessly over the uears, until an update is done, tyears, seems to have issues. With the latest update, my 2019 GMC Sierra refuses to stay connected about 90% of the time. I reconnect, it disconnects until one of us gives up. There are time it says it can't find my phone ( Galaxy Note 10+) which has worked without question until the update. After disconnecting and reconnecting several times, it will see my phone. Then it is back to the hit and miss for a stable connect.

Fails to open on car screen. I've tried everything, like many who have already placed reviews here. The latest update to the app and Pixel 5 security updates completely messed up this app for me. I'm so disappointed. I travel a LOT and I have always loved Androids and Google products. However, the complete lack of response to the reviews here over the last week...

For some reason my last review is suddenly gone. The simply does not work with a pixel 6/android 12. It is constantly disconnecting. I have to uninstall and then download it again. It also doesn't show up anywhere in my apps list, so I can't try manually launching it. The only way I can launch Android Auto is by plugging it into the car and hoping it launches. It would be nice to be able to try to manually connect it, but you simply can't without the actual app to even bother opening.
