I used the app on Samsung F62 on Android 11. The map and the navigation worked. There are several issues. (1) The accuracy of the map is questionable. My destination, which was on the left, was mentioned as situated on the right. (2) During the navigation, Amazon Music was playing but there was no audio. (3) There was no.option to add Spotify, that was available earlier (4) The app did not show the widget on the mobile, leaving the operations only at the car head unit.

I love this system, It has really changed my life, in a positive way. Before I started using this system. I was afraid to go long distances, without knowing exact directions. So I limited myself from going places. Now with this system, I am fearless!. I use it local and on road trips. I like that it alerts me to road hazards, and speed traps, and the time management. I mean it has so many perks. Thank you for adding this little pleasure in my life.

Nice when it works, but about 30% of the time I plug my Motorola Moto Z2 into my Mazda 3, Android Auto fails to start on the car display and sometimes just decides to run locally on the phone, which is not what I want. Often when AA is running, the phone slows way down, which is especially frustrating if I just plug my phone into the car to charge and then AA auto-starts, making it more difficult to use the phone (when parked) to do something like join a meeting with another app.

When it's working, it's brilliant. Unfortunately it's a bit of a guess each time I plug it in. Sometimes Waze doesn't work, sometimes it's Spotify, sometimes it freezes, sometime messages don't come through. I do love it though and can't drive without it at all. Just wish more apps and innovations where done to really make it amazing. Being able to customise screens, wallpaper, etc would be brilliant as well.

Android Auto is good, but BlueTooth is long overdue, and I don't want to buy another device to do that. I don't know if it's Auto software that needs fixing or whether it's in Radio hardware, but one way or another this needs to be fixed. I wear my phone in my front pants pocket, and inevitably I am buckeled in ready to drive, when I decide I want Android Auto - most of the time I just play the radio. But, I need to wait for a stop sign or signal to turn radio on.

Update: the app worked until the last couple updates. Now it won't read messages. Days I have to enable options that don't exist in the head unit or my phone. Well known problem on many forums. It's NOT THE CABLE. It's a serious step back in time. I can listen to Pandora by way of Bluetooth, but can't text by voice. AA in its present form is useless.

App does not run when plugged into Car. Need to try several times before it pops up on car screen. Speed limits from waze dont appear on car screen. All these seem to be recent bug. It worked fine a few months ago. Its an awesome app when it works, which is around 4 weeks of the year. The other 48 weeks it is absolutely terrible. Please stop updating it. If it works leave it.

This app has been updated to the suckiest version so far, don't be sucked into buying new USB cables or uninstalling and reinstalling or switching your phone on and off, sticking your tongue out to the left whilst looking towards the right and scratching your shin, it still won't work, I wish I could go back to the previous version, the one that worked, would give minus stars for this version if possible.

In a world of Bluetooth compatible EVERYTHING, let's go backwards in time and only make our app useful via plug-in. Once upon a time I enjoyed this app. Since the change to becoming plug-in only, I can no longer say that. Constantly have problems with connection, between cords, the app or the radio...no idea. Bought a car radio, had it installed & had no idea the only way to get Android Auto was having to keep my phone plugged in the entire time. Horrible set back in time for sketchy service.

Steering wheel controls are now mostly broken for me. Previous and next work opposite of how they're supposed to and there's no way to cancel the assistant. I filed a report in their tech forum like they ask people to do, and it was immediately marked as a duplicate of a Spotify bug when I don't even use Spotify. This whole project seems to be run by interns with no oversight.

Some people have mentioned that the app isn't showing on their phones...this is because in the latest update, it's integrated, so you have to either search, or go on settings..then advanced and it's on the menu (Galaxy Note 10 plus) . I've had no issues with it and my car isn't even listed as compatible. I prefer it to the cars own infotainment system, as Google maps is more regularly updated. I had the echo auto for Spotify etc, now it's all done through android auto, so less wires.

Overall good, but couple anoyances. 1) having to plug my phone in sucks. Wish my phone could connect to my radio wirelessly. 2) connecting requires me to unlock my phone. Argh! 3) upon connecting, maps is always default, but I'd love it if it were the last app instead. I use pandora a lot. One improvement I LOVE is that it no longer renders my phone useless while driving. Thanks for that!

I have been using AA for the last 30 months with my TATA Nexon and Huawei Honor 9i phone. Works fine with the original cable. Since the last update, a couple of months back, have been facing frequent black outs of the screen on the car infotainment. So I have to stop the car, disconnect the cable, start Google maps again and connect back. It works for sometime before going blank again.

It works well for maps/ navigation and playing spotify, but certainly has its quirks. TTS to read out text messages just doesn't work most of the time, but voice to text works fine. Occasionally the connection to the car will bug out when first connected. A disconnect/ reconnect usually fixes this. It would be nice to select default apps for text, maps, etc (I use hangouts and google voice for texting, so I can't send a text with my voice using Android Auto).

Looks great, super convenient, pretty solid driver interface that makes it user friendly when you don't have the luxury of focus. My complaints are that this Pixel 3a XL doesn't connect easily. I know it could be a phone specific thing but both are Google so it's related, to me. Also, the system doesn't process multiple texts quickly so listening to the first message doesn't allow the next few. There's a few QoL adjustments I'd mention but it's tedious so meh.

There needs to be a passenger option. When my AA is connected snd I'm scrolling through my Spotify it will do a "safety pause - back shortly" message for about 5 seconds then when the screen comes back up it's all the way at the top of the list, thus having to start scrolling again, then safety pause, it's a viscous cycle. Note: I'm actually the passenger when this happens lol. Any help out there? I'm in a Honda crv EX 2021 model
