Jan 4, 2021 Good app! Works as expected, but has some bugs over WiFi (the screen freezes and the sockets, at least I would assume that is what you guys use, stay blocked for a while) I started using it over USB cable, and it is flawless, but I have noticed that that option is no longer available. Should I assume it is still available in the paid version, even though it says here in the description the app can work over USB?more -
Jan 6, 2021 Over WiFi, especially if the WiFi/internet is being used for other things (video calls) and especially if it's being used by many people in your household, connection quality is not great. It (very) often freezes and the delay is noticeable when it isn't frozen. I wouldn't use over WiFi unless you don't have another option for a webcam. Over USB it's much much better. A little tricker to set up the 1st time, but fine afterwards. Lag is almost 0, and more importantly dropouts are non-existent.more -
Dec 29, 2020 This app is great for people who can't afford a camera for computer like me. There're many ways to connect but I think USB this the best method. You must download the client on the desktop and enable USB debugging before using it. If you don't know how to do that, just Google it, it's really easy, don't be an idiot and rate it 1 star just because you don't know how to use it.more -
Dec 31, 2020 Just works the way it should. No more and no less than what is promised. These days, that gets 5 stars. Five bucks for the premium version not really worth it, but hell this is a good product so I was happy to donate. Would have paid for the basic version no problem.more -
Jan 1, 2021 It's awesome , but from security point of view you should add a password for accessing the camera because, what some else is also using this at the same time and makes a mistake in IP he/she would be streaming someone else's camera. Please think about this.more

Jan 6, 2021 They purposely tilt the camera to the wrong orientation and demand you buy the pro version to allow you to fix the orientation. Find another solution if your setup requires any bit of fine tuning or if you have any preference for your use case at all.more

Jan 7, 2021 Great app! Sometimes I use it for the camera sometimes I use it for just a mic. It's great to have downloaded in case you have any problems with your mic or camera. They tilt the camera on purpose so you need to pay to get it normal, but I use OBS so I can flip it however I like. So it's not an issue for me, bit it'll drive you crazy if you don't have an app on your pc that can flip it for you.more -
Jan 10, 2021 Really good, but could do with better frames and better GUI, it's so hard to tell if the camera is on or off, the only way without going into the app is the battery draining fast! (Yeah please also adjust the battery usage or something)more

Jan 14, 2021 A great application for developmental and recreational uses, I strongly recommend it. However, if you can add flashlight support and compatibility for certain devices, it would become a very powerful tool for those who function in low light environments.more -
Jan 11, 2021 Very nice tool. A convenient way to have a replacement web cam & microphone if you do not want to buy dedicated webcam / mic. -
Dec 19, 2020 The app is great 👌👌. First I faced issues connecting with USB but later I fixed it. I was not having a webcam for my desktop ,this app helped me alot and saved a lot of money for me. Picture quality is fair. Overall good didn't faced any issues regarding crashing or else.more

What’s Groovy
DroidCam is a really handy tool, especially as it's free. I was going to buy a webcam for attending online classes, but a friend recommended this to me instead, and I saved a significant amount of money. Mobile phone cameras have come so far, to the point that I'd imagine most of them have better picture quality than a budget webcam. There's no reason not to at least try the app if you'll be joining any sort of videocall at all.

What’s Subpar
Fairly easy to get rolling, but I was shocked at how poor the video quality was. This was on a Galaxy phone connected by USB. Don't know if paid version allows better quality, but this free version was considerably worse than my rubbish laptop Webcam.
